Text 08 Pilot x Pilot

@Sicheng ☆ Sicheng didn't like to be overly affectionate in public, so when Sicheng initiated touch first, it was Yangyang's permission to reciprocate, wrapping his arms tightly around Sicheng's waist to greet him. He was all smiles by the time he drew away, they said a quick goodbye to Sicheng's coworkers, and Yangyang took Sicheng's peaked cap from him to free up an arm where Yangyang hooked his hand around the inside of Sicheng's elbow. "Ge, did you have a good flight?" Having been through this airport so many times, their feet took them toward the walkway that linked to the hotel complex beside the airport. He raised the hand holding Sicheng's hat, showing off the insulated bag he brought with him. "Your leftovers, as requested. I stole all my Mom's ice packs, so you do have to return these."

@Yangyang ☆ Heading towards the terminal gate, Sicheng was still engaged in casual conversation with his co-pilot and flight attendants. They discussed the smoothness of the flight and their upcoming schedules, maintaining an aura of poise and composure as eyes turned to them from every direction as the airport guests flooded towards their own gates and terminals.

As Sicheng exited the arrival gate, his eyes scanned the crowd and landed on Yangyang. Instantly, his poised demeanor softened, and a warm smile spread across his face. It was barely noticeable from a distance, but it was there. Excusing himself from his colleagues, he walked towards Yangyang and opened his arms to welcome the younger into his embrace. When Yangyang was within reach, Sicheng pulled him in gently, pressing his boyfriend's head against his shoulder. "Hey there," he whispered, the formality of the day melting away in the warmth of the moment, "Good to see you again."

@Sicheng ☆ Yangyang's mother had always said Yangyang dressed too casually for a commercial pilot, that no one would take him seriously with his brightly bleached hair, ear punctured with holes, and loud, slouchy outfits, but Yangyang had always waved her off. He had never regretted it, up until the moment he made eye contact with Dong Sicheng came out of the arrival gate in a pristinely brushed uniform and freshly polished shoes, along with two other impeccably dressed staff. Yangyang waved before he saw the other two, but when he noticed them, he lingered near the barricade rather than rushed to jump at Sicheng like he'd been dying to do, shy as he stood at an awkward length from the group and waited for Sicheng to either make introductions or say his goodbyes. One of them was a pilot, and the other Yangyang guessed was the cabin manager—both were dressed too well, as expected of staff of such a big airline. Yangyang felt like a vagrant in his clothes, all of a sudden, saying a small hello to Sicheng's coworkers—it didn't help there was a gaping hole in the side of his jeans despite the cold winter weather he had not been expecting at all in the city.
