✦ Humans
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
A minority of the total population, including the still petrified humans that exist. They're very closely related to elves but are less close to the natural and spiritual world than their counterpart. Rumors in history state that they fell out of favor with their creator due to hubris and have had their affinities to nature, magic, and spirits diminished as a result. Supernatural beings weren't able to keep up with them due to being hidden away for centuries leading up to the mysterious petrification incident, which is why humans were allowed to rule the planet until now.
NOTE: If rping a pre-petrification human, see the petrification page. Also when naming your human muse, you can choose any given name for a mahuma human, but use a common name from today with a surname and last name if they're a pehuma human.

QUICK STATISTICS
Average Lifespan: 50-80 years for post-petrification humans, technically 3000+ years for pre-petrification humans.
Where They Live: Primarily in the sola city Origo, but they have their own above-ground districts within the other species' regions. Humans who live outside of Origo are usually poor and do low-class jobs if they aren't servants. The only exception to this seems to be for humans who are adventurers and live in Thetyra, Lyren.
Magical Capacity: Currently only mahuma humans have the capacity for magic, and it is rare that mahumas carry the ability to wield magic. Pehuma humans do not qualify.
Language Ability: Humans speak "standard human speak" (basically English, for simplicity's sake). Currently, nothing stops a human from learning the languages of other species, but they are not able to speak/use "aura" to communicate as a whole. It is very rare for humans to be blessed with the ability to communicate via aura.

SUB-SPECIES
Humans are currently broken down into two categories:
Mahuma: Short for "magical human." Humans of this breed are said to be blessed with the ability to weild magical abilities. They are typically sturdier and were born in recent times. Their bones are also noticeably thicker and they require more sunlight than that of the Pehumas.
Pehuma: Short for "petrified human." Humans of this breed existed before the new era (were born anywhere from the late 1900s to the early 2000s) and were petrified for 3000 years. While they do not have the ability to weild magic, their scientific knowledge and know-how is outstanding. It has helped the other races in smaller ways, though, they aren't very liked by the other races as much. More on that in just a bit.

SPECIES INTERACTIONS
Below is how the other species generally view them.
- Elves: they dislike humans for their hubris and lack of spirituality.
- Beastmen: they detest humans for how they treat nature and species considered lower than them (namely animals).
- Elementals: they are indifferent toward humans.
- Spirits: like the elves, they dislike humans for their hubris and lack of spirituality, but they also dislike humans because they're always being bothered by them.
- Fae: they detest humans for how they treat the planet and its ecosystem.
✦ Elves
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
A common race that has dwindled down a bit due to war and breeding with humans in the past. They are closely related to humans but have been blessed with heightened senses and agility compared to their counterpart. They are very spiritual beings that value as well as appreciate nature/the natural world.
QUICK STATISTICS
Average Lifespan: 200-300 years.
Where They Live: Primarily in Luschia.
Magical Capacity: Because of their high spirituality, they typically possess magical abilities and are able to use some form of magic. The more spiritual the elf, the more likely they are to be able to be granted a power, but that isn't the only determining factor and isn't a guarantee.
Language Ability: Elves have their own variation of the standard human speak that they've combined with primal tongue and sounds found in nature. Most will use standard human speak around any humans, and primal tongue around beastmen. It is rare for elves to be blessed with the ability to communicate via aura.

SUB-SPECIES
Elves are currently broken down into two categories:
Light Elves: Light elves are drawn to the day and all things revolving around the sun. They typically wield fire or light magic and their magic is strongest during the day. During full moons and lunar eclipses, their powers are halved. One would find their kind near hotter areas or tropical climates.
Night Elves: Night elves are drawn to the night and all things revolving around the moon. They typically wield water or gravity magic and their magic is strongest during the night. During fully sunny days and solar eclipses, their powers are halved. One would find their kind in caves and underground settlements more often than not.
Wood Elves: Wood elves are more drawn to nature and spiritualism. They typically wield earth or air magic and live in wooded areas or mountains.

SPECIES INTERACTIONS
Below is how the other species generally view them.
- Humans: they don't trust elves because they can also be just as bad as the other species.
- Beastmen: they are indifferent toward elves, but also do not trust them because they believe they're more apt to side with a human than a beastman.
- Elementals: they are indifferent toward elves.
- Spirits: they are indifferent toward elves.
- Fae: they are rather fond of elves.
✦ Beastmen
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Another common race about as common as elves. They are somewhat related to humans, but have been blessed with heightened senses, durability, and agility compared to them. The dragonier subspecies tends to be more spiritual than the others. They are very appreciative of the natural world and nature as a whole though.
QUICK STATISTICS
Average Lifespan: 100-300 years, 200-500 if Dragonier or Seaborn.
Where They Live: Primarily in Luschia, The Sohm Sands, and Lyren. Sovengraad if a Dragonier. Lyren if a Seaborn.
Magical Capacity: Because of their high spirituality, they typically possess magical abilities and are able to use some form of magic. The more spiritual the beastmen, the more likely they are to be able to be granted a power, but that isn't the only determining factor and isn't a guarantee.
Language Ability: Beastmen use a language called "primal tongue" which varies from beast type to beast type, but general consists of grunts, cries, chitters, clicks, etc. Some can speak standard human speak, but not all. It is rare for beastmen to be blessed with the ability to communicate via aura.

SUB-SPECIES
Beastmen are currently broken down into the following categories:
Dragonier: have vertical slit pupils, horns (usually two, but can be more) and tails, but no wings.
NOTE: Dragonier Beastmen tend to name themselves/are named after adjectives because their dragon names give them power. To tell someone your dragon name as a Dragonier is like giving them power over you.
Avian: have avian pupils and wings, some may have talons or claws, some may have wings in place of human arms as well.
Feline: have vertical slit pupils, feline ears instead of human ones, have tails, and may also have patterned skin (which can be in patches) based on what kind of feline they are.
Canine: have canine ears instead of human ones, may have canine noses, and have tails.
Leporine: have leporine ears, and have tails.
Seaborn: have gills and an extra layer of skin that glitters in direct sunlight, have a subtle blueish tint to their skin; may have things like scales, mermaid tails instead of legs, and webbed hands and feet.

SPECIES INTERACTIONS
Below is how the other species generally view them.
- Humans: they don't trust or like beastmen because they can be very violent and cruel toward humans.
- Elves: they are indifferent toward beastmen, but also do not trust them because they tend to be brutish and needlessly aggressive in their eyes.
- Elementals: they are indifferent toward beastmen.
- Spirits: they are indifferent toward beastmen.
- Fae: they are indifferent toward beastmen, but are not always too fond of how they treat nature.
✦ Elementals
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
A somewhat rare species. They are natural beings that are literally made up of their specific element or type of magic. They can take on a human form if needed, but it's usually hard to maintain without help. Because they are part of nature, they are very prone to acting on instinct and impulse, no matter who it affects and how. This is mostly why they're generally indifferent to every other species.
NOTE: Elementals only have one name (no last name).
NOTE: Elementals only have one name (no last name).
QUICK STATISTICS
Average Lifespan: without a human form, infinite; with a human form 50-80 years. All elementals in the RP will have human forms.
Where They Live: Wherever their natural element is most prevalent, though they can live almost anywhere. They will not live where their natural element is weakest.
Magical Capacity: They're made up of elements, so they all are a specific type of magic.
Language Ability: They are able to speak standard human speak, primal tongue, and aura if they have a human form. If they do not, then they only communicate via aura. "Aura" is essentially the only non vocal language known (outside of gesture languages) and is heavily reliant on things like telepathy, instinct, senses, auras, spirits, and pheromones. Basically any form of nonverbal communication.

✦ Spirits
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
A rare species. They are spiritual beings that either have a revived human form (ghoul) or possessed something similar to one (neosynth, golem, treant). They are beings that died with something still tying them to the natural world. What that is depends on the person, but it usually isn't anything good. In order to stay tethered to the human world, they usually have to haunt (meaning cling to or actually haunt) a still living human. For ghouls, specifically, they have to feed on humans and drink their blood to maintain both their appearance and livelihood.
NOTE: Ghouls generally have red irises, and all spirit types have white pupils. When hunting and haunting, their sclera turn black.
NOTE: Ghouls generally have red irises, and all spirit types have white pupils. When hunting and haunting, their sclera turn black.
QUICK STATISTICS
Average Lifespan: infinite as long as they have a body if possessing a humanoid form (for neosynths, golems, and treants); infinite as long as they can feed if ghoul.
Where They Live: Wherever they want or are bound to.
Magical Capacity: They can only use gravity magic and are very weak against light magic.
Language Ability: Neosynths, golems, and treants can almost strictly communicate through aura (specifically telepathy), but can speak primal tongue if possessing something or someone that speaks it. Ghouls are able to speak standard human speak (though usually not all that well until they consume enough blood to repair their vocal cords) and communicate through aura.

SUB-SPECIES
Spirits are currently broken down into the following categories:
Neosynths: Basically a possessed android that was previously capable of sentience. They are very hard to come by in society and are usually killed on sight because of how dangerous they once were.
Golems: These are possessed clay, stone, or earthen individuals who were either trapped or sealed in statues or died in petrification. All golems need masters or to be tied to someone's soul in order to (re)animate. They have their own language called the "knock of nature" which is akin to a morse code like language combined with senses they use to communicate.
Treants: Treants are spirit people who are either partly or wholy infused with trees. They rely heavily on aura though they can communicate in other ways. Most commonly, they use a language called "whispers of the wind" which is a mix of natural sounds and senses they use to understand the world and beings who inhabit it.
Ghouls: Long story short, these are spirits that were able to possess a human (or elf/beastman/etc) corpse, but they weren't able to bring it back to life fully. They are flesh eating and blood drinking individuals, but for their own survival.

- Fae: they both respect and fear spirits.
✦ Fae
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
A common species. They are spiritual beings who are usually involved in or tied to nature in some way, shape, or form. They are also known to be highly seclusive and live in their own little areas and seldom venture from those.
NOTE: All Fae species (excluding dullahans) are half-human by default.

SUB-SPECIES
Fae are currently broken down into the following categories:
Faerie: Born from strong desires and emotions are faeries. They are a humanoid race with elven ears and beautiful, insect-like wings. While not always tiny in size (they can range from 1 foot to 4 feet in height, and rarely are the size of fully grown adults), they all are born with wings that are pearlescent and typically resemble constellations in the galaxy. These wings act as their heart or the core of their being, so they are very careful with how they treat them.
Dullahan: Technically faeries, the dullahan are headless beings drawn to the night and the dark. They feed off of negativity and cursed energy. They also happen to be 75% male, but there are female dullahans. Of all the fae races, this is the most rare as well.
Nymph: Very much in tune with nature and their emotions (as well as the emotions of others) are nymphs. They are said to be incredibly beautiful if not the most beautiful species and also happen to be 65% female. There are still male nymphs found in nature though. And speaking of, each nymph is broken down into subgroups such as Nereides (seas), Naiades (rivers and streams), Oceanids (water), or Dryads (trees and forests), for example.
Shifter: Shifters are perhaps the most straightforward of the fae, but they can only shift into something they've personally absorbed or consumed at some point. This is the second most rare species of the fae.
