@go minsi. a sigh expelled from his lips as he slipped on his shoes after he donned his matching dress shirt and pants. checking his reflection on the mirror again for good measure, he made sure he was ready to take in the eclectic combination of dimmed lighting, and the blaring lights of the nightclub sign. his raven hair grew more in length, foregoing the gel for the evening. getting rejected by a bouncer would bring him to his chagrin, and would add onto the enumeration of things minsi would for. at the very least, he can take a respite from agonizingly grading papers and add this night to the catalogue of odd experiences.
left foot. right foot. just the proper way to wear them, a thought a certain someone may not have in their mind, like the person he had been texting.
two years passed since he went on that impromptu road trip with minsi, someone he considered to be an interesting character. one he willingly took to bed moments before their car crashed into a dhl truck, he mused with lingering shame.
thoughts whirred in his mind as he wended his way down the hilly pavement and to her apartment. but he rarely recalled a moment where they did not disturb him. evening twilight arrived as jinyoung finally arrived at her apartment complex, the last dregs of the sun fading into the darkening horizon.
rapping his knuckle against the door, jinyoung waited for the slow rasp on the door hinges. but it came quicker than expected, a completely bare foot peeking out of the door.
“aish.. i didn’t think you would seriously go barefoot, minsi. – you really wanted twigs to stick to that badly, huh?” carding his fingers through his hair, he let out an exasperated sigh. half out of frustration and half out of concern for her, to compensate for the lack she had for herself.
after a couple of moments, however, he relented to crouching down a little for her, giving her room to climb onto him.
