@✦ ┆ m. sangmin. ᵖᵃⁿᵈᵃ When you begin to skip towards me and smile widely I knew it was you. There was no mistaking that handsome smile, even from this distance. I’m eager to be close to you, my feet picking up their pace again. Stopping once we’ve reached one another. I take the hand warmers from you and place them in each of my pockets, smiling behind the scarf.
“Thank you, Sangda. Hm, I think we should walk around and just see what they have here. Maybe find a nice little spot to sit where there is no one else and admire the scenery?” Looks up at you, reaching for one of your hands and pulling it into my pocket with my own. I slide my fingers in between the slots of yours. I loved getting to hold your hand. In truth, doing anything with you made me love it.
@✧ ┆ k. yugyeom. ʳᵉᵈ ᵖᵃⁿᵈᵃ I'm watching people come and go, offering a smile to anyone who might greet me and all the while my eyes also search out for you and sooner than later a familiar silhouette begins to appear in the distance; was it you? Perhaps it was but I couldn't fully make it out not until the figure comes closer and I hear the sweet calling of my nickname; it was you. With a small skip in my step i meet you half way towards the entrance, a bright grin on my face and i take out one of the pair of hand warmers from my pockets, handing it to you. "Hey babe, take these. Now then, what did you want to do first?"
@✦ ┆ m. sangmin. ᵖᵃⁿᵈᵃ Powdery, star-sparkling white snow crunches beneath the weight of my snowshoes as I advance toward the candy-cane coded gate of the fair grounds. A heavy winter coat, hat and scarf - that is wrapped around my face to the point of only showing my eyes - adorns my somewhat slender frame. Lights and faint merry music tease their existence from afar. I spot a figure standing at the entrance. I wondered if it was you, or maybe someone else had the same idea as we did. If it did turn out to be the latter it would be mighty awkward starting a conversation with them. So the closer I got the more I attempted to see their face. With it being dark it was hard to tell, even with the lights in the near distance. I’d have to just say your name and hope for the best.
“Sangda?” One could hear the questioning tone of my voice, the uncertainty as I slowed my steps to remain somewhat cautious of the presence that stood before me.
@✧ ┆ k. yugyeom. ʳᵉᵈ ᵖᵃⁿᵈᵃ I’ve got a padded jacket on, a beanie to go with to keep my head and ears warm, thankful the weather was not too bad yet so the path and the area I was meeting you was safe. my pockets filled with a pair of hand warmers so we may enjoy our time here but also being as warm as possible. I had arrive first and so I decided to wait at the entrance, a smile on my lips as I wait for you; content to be spending time with you
@✧ ┆ h. kai. ˢᵖᵒᵗᵗᵉᵈ ˢᵏᵘⁿᵏ The smaller one smirks at Kai's challenge, his breath puffing out in small clouds as he falls into step beside him, boots crunching in the snow. “Oh, so vacation Kai thinks he’s got what it takes, huh?” He raises an eyebrow, amusement sparkling in his eyes as he glances over at the pink-cheeked boy. “Guess I should be scared, then.”
As they approach the games, Taehyun eyes the rows of booths with various prizes hanging overhead—plush animals, little trinkets, all kinds of ridiculous prizes just waiting to be won. He tilts his head towards a ring-toss stand, where the attendant grins and beckons them over with a big sign advertising “Winner Takes All.”
“Alright, hotshot,” Taehyun says, nodding toward the stand. “Show me what you’ve got. Winner gets… first pick of the food stalls. You’re going down, vacation Kai.” He can’t hide the grin on his face, knowing exactly how the maknae gets when he’s in this kind of competitive spirit.
@✧ ┆ k. taehyun. ᵇˡᵃᶜᵏ ᶜᵃᵗ He was in high spirits today, having been cooped up a bit too long on the way to the lodge, and then on the way to the fair- he was excited to have some fun to say the least. As they step off the bus, his eyes narrow slightly to combat the freezing breeze, grateful suddenly that winter coats exist and he remembered to snag his before leaving.
Dropping his gaze to the other member, he starts trudging towards the entry stalls. “Normally I would be about those but every fair always has them. This is a fair on a mountain, they’ve got to have some killer candy apples.” His lips quirk into a grimace at the temperature and he shoves his hands inside his pockets, feeling the nip of the air through his gloves.
“I vote games first. You might win normally but this is vacation Kai. I’m well rested and ready to serve your on a plate.” He flashes a cocky smile, face already pink due to the weather despite his beanie and hood combo.
@✧ ┆ h. kai. ˢᵖᵒᵗᵗᵉᵈ ˢᵏᵘⁿᵏ Taehyun can’t help but chuckle at the younger ones enthusiasm, the sight of him practically bouncing in his seat a rare but welcome thing. As he adjusts his scarf and rises from his seat, he glances out the window to take in the fairgrounds, a burst of colors and lights against the wintery backdrop.
“I’m pretty sure they’ll have everything you can think of,” he says, a small smile playing on his lips as he meets Kai’s eyes. “But I didn’t think you were the candied apple type. I thought you’d be all about the cotton candy or maybe… those fried dough things.”
He gestures for Kai to follow him as they step off the bus, the cold air nipping at their faces as he tugs his beanie down a little lower. “So, where are we going first? Ferris wheel? Food stalls? Or straight to the games so you can lose terribly?”
@✧ ┆ k. taehyun. ᵇˡᵃᶜᵏ ᶜᵃᵗ Kai had been glued to the window of the bus for practically the entire ride to the fair. The lodge had a free shuttle to the fairgrounds, so naturally he had dragged Taehyun along with him in excitement. He’d watched the snowy scenery go by the window in anticipation, leg shaking and his eyes glossy. As the bus begins to unload its passengers, he turns to Taehyun and beams casually at the cat, clearly a bit more visibly excited than the other. “Do you think they have candied apples, Tae?”
