@ᵃ son hyunwoo. Without thinking, he tugged his sleeves till they became taut over his shoulders and acted as hand covers, fidgeting with the hem as he captured the brightness in Hyunwoo's smile. "Still, I should be the one taking care of these things, not my guest.Mm...thank you Hyunnie Bear."

He glanced down at the tiny bear plushie, giggling at the scenario of big Hyunwoo taking a poor little plushie down. "So silly but so cute. Oh you give the best cuddles, don't you know hyung?"
Yutaro settled on the couch with his friend. The bag of popcorn pulled open, and the steam slithered out with the scent of the popped corn filling the room, mixing with the two hybrids' scents. The beta puts something on nice and light-hearted for the two to watch, he doesn't have a mindset on what to watch and simply wants to bask in the comfort and warmth of his companion. He mirrored a smile, the warmth reaching his round, doey spheres, sharing the same sentiment without using words to convey it.

The moth hybrid leaned his head against Hyunwoo's shoulder, the plushie resting between the two as if enjoying the digital art on the screen ahead of the two. "Mmm, what's your favorite movie, Hyunnie?

@ᵇ goto yutaro. Hyunwoo blinked, surprised by Yutaro's comment, his face flushing at the thought of being Yutaro's number one bear. Of course, Yutaro could just be placating his guest, but Hyunwoo liked to think that their friendship was growing stronger day by day. Sighing softly when Yutaro went to his bedroom, the alpha continued to clean the kitchen, wishing that he was better at expressing himself so he wouldn't frighten Yutaro with the depth of his feelings.

"I don't mind,Taro bean. I like helping you out." Hyunwoo beamed at his friend once he returned to the kitchen, his eyes landing on the small plushie that Yutaro was crumpling in his hands. "Hmm, I think I can take that plushie on. I bet I can cuddle better than him any day." Chuckling, Hyunwoo followed Yutaro to the couch once the popcorn was ready, letting his friend make himself comfortable before he took a seat next to him, boldly draping an arm around the younger man's shoulders. "A happy, fun movie sounds good. I'm always in a good mood when you're around, so it doesn't seem right to watch something sad or scary."

@ᵃ son hyunwoo. "Your rival???" He laughed behind his hand, eyes shutting during the gesture. "Hyung you are too silly, you are my number one bear." He blurted by accident and once it hit him, he flushed a deep shade of red and scurried away to his bedroom. The Beta needed an excuse to recover. He retrieved the little bear plushie, returned to the kitchen, and saw that Hyunwoo acted more like a host, taking care of the leftovers and cleaning up.

"Ah...Hyunnie, you didn't have to; I should have done all that. Y-you're my guest."
The tight grips tormented the poor teddy bear in Yutaro's hands, twisting at the plushie due to his nerves around Hyunwoo. "I um, I don't like horror movies....too spooky. Maybe we can watch a happy, fun movie." The microwave let out a beep, and Yutaro handed the bear toy to Hyunwoo so he could take charge of the popcorn. "Let's move to the living room and get comfy."

@ᵇ goto yutaro. "Speaking of plushies," Hyunwoo said, a hint of amusement in his voice, "I want to meet my rival, your new bear plushie. I have to size up the competition," he teased, a smile on his face as he cleared the table, setting their dirty dishes in the sink.

Hyunwoo replaced the lids on the take-out containers before putting them neatly in the refrigerator, stacking them so they wouldn't take up too much room, the simple task providing him with a few moments to collect himself, the little kiss he gave Yutaro making the edge of each of his ears turn bright red. Closing the refrigerator door, he watched as Yutaro made the popcorn, the aroma of the freshly popped kernels mixing with their own scents, a heady combination for the anxious alpha who was completely unaware that his friend was as flustered as he was.

"Mm, I like most movies, even horror, so you can pick what you'd like to see." Leaning against the counter, Hyunwoo tried not to stare, forcing himself to look anywhere but directly at his friend, casting his eyes down at one point to gaze at his shoes. His mind was filled with things he wanted to say, but he kept his mouth shut, reminding himself that he needed to go slow when it came to Yutaro.

@ᵃ son hyunwoo. The touch to his hand was enough to cause a ripple of warmth to swell into his chest cavity. His smile grew, but he would keep this a secret, the feelings he harbored for his companion if it meant getting to be by his side longer.
He fluttered his lashes, gaze swiftly falling to a safe zone, knowing he would quickly blossom to a different shade if they lingered too long while on the topic of Hyunwoo's clothing decision for the sleepover. "Of course, I'll give you blankets, a comfy pillow and even a plushie of your choice."

Yutaro excused himself from the table with a ready hand stretched out to take care of their plates until his friend beat him to it. The beta revealed a gentle smile, content with the idea. "I would love that, ,hyung~"
He let out a surprised squeak from the kiss only to retreat to the cabinet where the popcorn bags were; fetching one, he hurriedly assembled the bag and popped it into the microwave. His hips pressed to the counter where his hands gripped the edge until his knuckles became more prominent.

"what kind of movies do you like? Is there anything you've been meaning to watch?" He asked while the buzzing and popping commenced behind him.

@ᵇ goto yutaro. Once Yutaro started offering him things that he'd need to stay overnight, Hyunwoo smiled, reaching across the table, patting his friend's hand again. He realized that he was taking every opportunity to touch Yutaro, but the innocent pats were becoming important to the alpha since he couldn't really act on his true feelings. Leaning back, he took a sip of the beer before he spoke softly. "I'd appreciate a toothbrush, but you don't need to worry about clothes. I'll just take my jeans off and sleep in my sweater and underwear. I'll be comfortable as long as you can spare a blanket."

Finishing the lasagna, Hyunwoo nodded. "I'd love to watch something. Now that your heat is over, we can cuddle if you'd like." Patting his stomach, the alpha added. "I think I can find some room for popcorn." Rising to his feet, Hyunwoo started to clear the table, gathering the dirty dishes, stacking them carefully. "I'll put the leftovers in the fridge. You and your roommates can share them, okay?" As he walked past Yutaro, his hands full, Hyunwoo leaned closer, impulsively pressing a little kiss against the top of the beta's head. "Thanks for inviting me, Taro bean."

@ᵃ son hyunwoo. Yutaro finishes his mouthful of food, glancing over his shoulder with his attention drifting toward his bedroom door. His mind was already setting further into the host's mind zone now that he was having a surprise sleepover with his dear friend, someone that made him easily flustered and stuttered over his words and thoughts as if his shoelaces always became untie when he stepped in the same room as Hyunwoo.

He started with a long hum, cooking up his sentence before suggesting it out, "I might have an extra toothbrush, though, if you need pjs....I don't think my clothes would fit your muscular physique." Yutaro returned his head forward, the corner of his lips, doting the leftover tomato sauce that left a reddish stain behind. "I don't think you would be trouble, I would be surprised...I mean, how would one be trouble at a sleepover?" His innocence or natural goodwill lenses were a heavy indicator in those words, batting his lashes as if they were his wings.

The beta finished his plate, smears of sauces is the evidence of a good meal on the plate with tiny bits of food, unable to be picked up with his metal fork. "Did...did you wanna watch something together, I can make popcorn~?" He lays his fork on his plate, neatly folding his hands on his laps, still kicking his feet underneath his chair, content with spending whatever time with Hyunwoo.

@ᵇ goto yutaro. Hyunwoo sat back in his chair, a look of relief on his face when his friend agreed that he could spend the night. He knew it was an innocent request, but he was surprised how much nerve he'd had to work up to ask the simple question. He realized it was because Yutaro meant a lot to him, and he didn't want to mess up by rushing things. In all honesty, Hyunwoo had never met such a naive man before - - at least not one that he was interested in. Most guys he'd dated in the past had actually pursued him, and he'd often agreed just because he hated to hurt anyone's feelings. Of course, that lead to a lot of short term, unsatisfactory relationships. Many men were drawn to Hyunwoo's looks, but they really weren't concerned with getting to know the alpha more deeply. The was good, but now that he was older, Hyunwoo knew that he wanted more - - someone who cared about all of him, not just his body.

"I appreciate it, Taro bean." Hyunwoo said, wiping a couple of crumbs from the garlic bread from the corner of his mouth. "I promise I won't be any trouble."

Hyunwoo tried to focus on his food, but he found himself stealing glances at Yutaro, wishing he could express how he was feeling, but knowing it would be a big mistake. He imagined Yutaro telling him to leave, the apartment door slamming in his face when he said he wanted things to be more physical between them. Shaking the thought from his mind, he took a bite of the lasagna, the flavorful pasta tasteless in his mouth as he chewed it, his mind not on food, but on his friend.

@ᵃ son hyunwoo. Yutaro was quick to dismiss that plan, waving both of his arms in front of his torso, "No, no its okay, I'll go grab it. I don't want you to be burdened with that task, and its a way to pay back some of your deed for the food. "

The Beta himself was content with a can of Coke, manipulating the metal tab to push the seal down, revealing the opening with a satisfying pop sound that announced the bubbly contents inside. He scooped a serving of ravioli, took most of his plate, and added a side of garlic bread and a touch of lasagna.

With hesitation, the moth hybrid took his shades off, wincing at first as his eyes adjusted to the light radiating off from the lit candles, thankfully he was towards the end of his heat, so it was bearable at this point. He choked a bit on a lump of nothing in his throat, his cheeks and scent flaring up, "Ah, oh um of course, I'll prepare the couch for you. I-I wouldn't want you to venture out so late either." He reassures his guest with a sheepish smile, taking his first bite of ravioli, humming at the food as it taints his palette with sweetness and savory notes of spinach and cheese drowned in tomato sauce.

@ᵇ goto yutaro. When Yutaro brought him a beer, Hyunwoo patted his hand. "Don't worry about replacing the beer. I grab some at the convenience store and bring them to you so you can leave them for your roommates - - to show my appreciation." Opening the beer, Hyunwoo took a swig, sighing happily before he nodded. "Yeah, let's eat. I'm starving."

Hyunwoo waited to see what Yutaro chose to eat, making a mental note of the things that his friend seemed to prefer. Once he was sure Yutaro had plenty of food, Hyunwoo filled his plate, taking a bite of the garlic bread, his lips. As he ate, he argued with himself internally, finally working up the courage to speak. Setting down his utensils, he caught his lip for a moment before he spoke.

"Uhm, do you think it would be too much trouble if I stayed here tonight, Taro bean. I'm really not looking forward to walking home in the cold. I can sleep on the couch - - " Hyunwoo's voice trailed off as he waited for the beta's response.

@ᵃ son hyunwoo. "I'll make sure you get a share of leftovers too, its only fair that we both get something in return, more so you because you bought it."

Once the candles were lit, he turned off the lights in every room, sighing in relief. Finally, he slipped the blanket off. It was odd that the fake lights did more harm to the moth hybrid, unlike the flames of the candles coming from the table. He opened the fridge with his lips twisting in thought, observing what was in the fridge, "I don't drink beer....but I think my roommates do, I am sure they will be okay if I use one and replace it the next day." He takes a can and rests it in front of his friend's plate only to sit across from him, a happy smile stretching along his visage, the flickering of the lights reflected on him.

"Let's dig in? no?"

@ᵇ goto yutaro. Hyunwoo wanted to help, but Yutaro seemed to have the meal under control, and the bear hybrid did his best not to be in the way. Nodding when Yutaro mentioned all the food, Hyunwoo chuckled. "I wanted to be sure I brought things that you might like. If there are leftovers, that's good. It means you won't have to go out. It really is cold and spooky out there."

Watching as Yutaro went to his bedroom, Hyunwoo was tempted to follow him, but he took a seat at the table instead, reminding himself not to do anything that might fluster his friend. The smell of the food mixing with the muted scent of Yutaro's pheromones made the alpha feel a little dizzy, but he did his best to hide his reaction, offering Yutaro a smile when he returned with the candles, waiting patiently while he lit them, finding the flickering light romantic.

"Do you have a beer?"

@ᵃ son hyunwoo. He took the bag and hurried off to the kitchen to take everything out, laying the containers on the table only to fetch dishes for the two. He turned around, plates in each hand.

"You got so much. I am super hungry, but I feel we will still have leftovers~ Thank you, by the way, Hyung." Yutaro relaxed a bit, glad that his scent wasn't bothering his friend or so he assumed. "I can light some candles....I have a bunch of them in my bedroom." He tugged on the blanket, ensuring it was still protecting his skin from the artificial lights in the apartment. Yutaro slipped into his bedroom, the one room that would smell heavily of the hybrid, he returned with a few candles cradled in his arms, taking them to the table, placing them in the center and lighting each one up.

"Do you want anything to drink?"

@ᵇ goto yutaro. Hyunwoo beamed at Yutaro once he opened the door, stepping inside, handing the bag of food to his friend before he slipped out of his shoes. He caught a whiff of Yutaro's scent, but he didn't let on because he didn't want the Luna moth hybrid to be uncomfortable.

"I hope you're hungry. I got ravioli and lasagna and garlic bread too." Hyunwoo followed Yutaro into the kitchen, the heat of the apartment making him feel better, warming his skin. Leaning against the counter, Hyunwoo could tell that Yutaro was still sensitive to light. "You know, you can dim the lights if you want. I'll be fine."

@ᵃ son hyunwoo. Once Yutaro knew he was having company, though his heat was at its end, he took a scent suppressant just in case, not wanting to bombard the alpha with his pheromones.
He waited by the door, a blanket wrapped around his head, which was decorated with a floral pattern bucket hat and oversized shades to block any light from his sensitive eyes.

Yutaro perked up and rushed over to the door, opening it, beyond excited to see his friend had made it. "Hyunnie~! Come inside." The younger male stepped back, giving his guest space to settle in, and stretched a hand out for the food bag. "I'll put those in the kitchen for us."

@ᵇ goto yutaro. Still smiling about Yutaro's last text, Hyunwoo wandered down the hallway toward the beta's apartment. Blowing on his hands once he reached the front door of his friend's place, Hyunwoo paused for a moment to collect himself, his face flushed from the cold, a bag filled with Italian food in his free hand, the aroma of tomato and oregano filling the air around him. Knocking on the door, Hyunwoo shifted on his feet, eager to see Yutaro again.

@ᵇ lee hoseok. he can hear hoseok in the apartment having become familiar with the sound of his footfall and the pattern of his gait. to hear him call out softly, using the petname that has come to fill his belly with enough warmth he fears he might burts into a constellation himself, brings a smile to his face. so he's facing the door with a besotted expression as it opens, fingers teasing the hem of his loose sweater.

he speaks softly, outstretching a hand to beckon his love in and takes a seat on the floor beside his bed, settling on a soft blanket and collection of pillows. candlelight flickers across yixing's skin and the yellow-gold fairy lights bathe the room in an incandescent glow keeping the mood intimate and quiet. hoseok's tail doesn't go unnoticed and he silently curses himself for not revealing more of his own hyprid parts, belatedly remembering their promise to share.
i thought we could talk and cuddle? maybe? spend the rest of the evening together since we both were busy.

@ᵇ zhang yixing. quietly slipping into the flat is a given at this point, the code to the shared apartment memorized and tucked away in the part of his brain that js reserved for his beloved; still, it never fails to fill his chest with a particular kind of excitement - one that causes his tail, visible for the first time in a few days, to sway softly behind him, the ruddy ears on top of his his head twitching along. unable to hide his grin, he slips past the communal space, digging into one of the two bags he brought with him - the one that did not hold the gift he prepared for his partner - just to take out a tupper of slightly wonky looking cookies with a little "for the cuties of apt 110! ♡ - wonho" note stuck to the lid of it and placing the box on the kitchen counter before moving further towards the familiar room door.

he calls out gently, not too loudly, still knocking on the room door despite his annoucement. his tail already wags faster as he smooths over his frankly garish christmas sweater, thumping against his thigh in excitement as he cracks the door open and peeks inside the room, scanning it immediately for the older man.

I always had small ideations of love, but they’re all gone now.
