sea breeze is a seaside town au based in the historic seaport town of haepung* (*haepung is a fictional town). Haepung is situated on the southern coast of korea, characterized by its picturesque beaches and steep hills. With its mild winters and breezy summers, haepung makes the perfect town to relax and get away from the big city.ย
For generations, Haepung has been a significant location for trade with china and japan and as a result, haepung has a unique mix of culture that blends all three countries together. Due to its diversity, most signs in Haepung are written in korean, japanese, chinese, and, sometimes, english. Many families in Haepung have been living here for generations and have created a close-knit community where everyone helps support each other. When you're in haepung, their hospitality makes you feel like home whether you've lived here your entire life or moved here yesterday.ย

There are businesses that have been open since before Korea was its own country, but there are also new trendy businesses that coexist and take over old and dilapidated buildings. guidelines
01) Activity
Activity in sea breeze is intended to be very relaxed. Please do not feel pressured to hit milestones in the roleplay and, instead, enjoy the environment that we have created for you. Feel free to invite your friends to join you in this breezy town.
Inactivity kicks in after 30 days and if your character goes inactive, we will remove you from character and move you into hibernation for a week, then deactivate your character. Feel free to return at any time, even if someone has taken your faceclaim. If there is active roleplaying going on in any of your businesses, we will continue to have these rooms open, owned by npcs.ย
When leaving, please add bada and baram to a group pm and let us know 1) that you're leaving 2) if you intend to rejoin in the future 3) if you would like to close any of your businesses in the town, or continue to have them open with npcs.ย
02) Faceclaims
To prevent character hogging in sea breeze, we will allow duplicate faceclaims for every 50 characters (i.e. if there are 100 characters in seabreeze, we will allow 3 of the same faceclaims, though we do ask for oc names for duplicate characters!) and a base character limit of 3, increasing by one every month.
you'll be allowed 3 characters your first month in seabreeze with a favorite, upvote, and blog advertisement, then for every month you're in seabreeze, you'll be allowed to add an additional character with a blog advertisement. For example: if you've been in sea breeze for 6 months, you'll be allowed to have 9 characters total.
The demographic of sea breeze is intended to be korean with a mix of chinese and japanese immigrants. All races are allowed in seabreeze, though please ensure your faceclaim is in the entertainment industry! Influencers must have 100k+ followers and be easily searchable to be reserved. OC Names are allowed and encouraged, though not required! All characters must be 20+.ย

03) Roleplaying
Marriage, pregnancy, adoption and children are allowed. Please do not have a faceclaim for your children under 20 as minors are not allowed in the roleplay. However, feel free to have your children and family as an active part of your world and include them in your plots and threads as needed. There is no dating ban or any regulations on relationships, though you may feel free to make any life changing developments in the announcements room as we are a close-knit town and would like to congratulate you in character! For consistency, pregnancy will last three months in sea breeze, one month per trimester. Admins will not keep track, so feel free to progress as you'd like, honestly.ย
04) Conduct
Please keep ooc drama outside of sea breeze. The admins are vegan and will not take part of any beef, thank you. This roleplay is intended for adults, please act like adults. If you're a minor, please let us know because we think minors are cool, teach us your lingo! (I'm kidding, minors aren't allowed in this roleplay because we're old and that's weird, sorry bubbies.)
Users will be blacklisted if they are actively harming the environment. This includes making multiple people uncomfortable, pressuring people into situations they don't consent to, using the public chatrooms as a place to vent daily about things unrelated to the roleplay, passive-aggressive remarks, etc. Admins are allowed to kick people out of the roleplay as they see fit and an explanation will be given in your original reservation comment.
If, and only if, things get out of hand with ooc drama in sea breeze, we will not close the roleplay, but move onto a referral-only basis for the roleplay where either an admin has to approve a new user or have three people in the roleplay or three admins from other roleplays serve as references. This sounds like a lot of work and we really don't want to do this, so behave yourselves and keep others in check as well.ย
