@✧˚ y. jimin As much as Soobin was one to consider Jimin often, sometimes more than necessary if there be a limit, he never thought the building itself would be a highlight of something out of her reach. Quite the contrast, he assumed she enjoyed a reason to visit the building, perhaps that’s the cause of the taunting factor never crossing his mind. For if it did, he’d avoid bothering her to come.

Certainly, they had made significant strides, at least in the navigational department. From the initial day when he texted her the directions and his location to the present, she now arrived with such precision it seemed as if the process had become second nature. A meticulous individual she was, particularly evident in her awareness of his fondness for the deliciously prepared dishes. Not that he had much protest, she would insist on making him take the leftovers. This indulgence was a true guilty pleasure; Soobin’s thought process resembled a forked route, leading him back to the same conclusion: despite ordering from his favorites, he knew precisely who would deliver them. Which led to the extended presence of Jimin, as both were aware she wouldn’t return to the shop, ultimately satisfying the taller male’s dual desires. He never allowed himself to feel any regret, as his actions were slightly selfish; he preferred to savor her company.

"But you’ve come all this way... I can’t do that. It feels like I'm exploiting my privileges… those are reserved for haunted houses, you know. So you have to accompany me." His brows furrowed, and a noticeable smirk played at his lips. Regardless of how many times she reiterated her stance, Soobin felt an inherent need to reciprocate, if not to her directly, then to her family. He envisioned himself growing older, still visiting that very bakery in person, ordering excessively, and insisting on paying with the cash she had consistently forced back onto him. Stubborn though he was, he simply couldn’t help himself.

“Now then.. Let’s get started, shall we?”

@✧˚ c. soobin The distant chatter of whispers, echoed off the walls of the antiquated building. An interior she has grown accustomed to since the first time she was brought along to help him study. Despite frequenting the place often, she would still find herself looking at all and every direction in awe of the decorations. She enjoyed academic buildings of all sorts, albeit it was a bittersweet reminder of what she would never experience.


Out of habit or routine, perhaps even both was the sole reason Jimin always packed more than he would order whenever his information lit up on the delivery fulfillment screen. Which would always end with her shoving all the leftovers into his arms to keep, the small gesture leaving the ravenette with a ear to ear smile. she knew the route like the back of her hand, all the way down to the exact seating area she would spot him. although the delivery was a customer order technically, there was no doubt she wouldn’t return to the shop for the rest of the work day. oftentimes creating excuses for weaseling out of the closing shift at the bakery, simply to accompany soobin. They knew her antics by now and for obvious reasons never once objected her from doing them. But more than anything it was a great escape for her, a distraction from whatever went on in her day to day. It didn’t matter because she was here with purpose, and that was to ensure he reached his study quota. (And bring pastry incentives) “Yah… you don’t have to keep ordering and paying.. just text me what you want and i can just bring it…” She lost count how many times she reiterated, even going as far as to return the paid amount in cash stuffed in the leftover bag. But she knew his reasoning for doing so despite her never ending protest against it. Reminiscing always ignited a warmth of adoration to pry at the left side of her chest.

The library was an ideal sanctuary for his studies, a crucial element for excelling in his major. Thus, he often found himself several mornings each week dragging his bookbag and sequestering himself in a secluded corner of the library’s upper floor, an area he had effectively claimed as his own.

Ironically, despite this optimal study environment, his focus was undermined by his neglect to procure breakfast or snacks, which led him to contemplate his best friend’s delivery service. While he often entertained the thought of asking her for a favor, his sense of duty compelled him to place and pay for his own orders rather than simply request them. This internal conflict consistently resulted in him scrolling through options and ordering an ample amount of food, enough to satisfy two appetites. His hunger, more persuasive than his reason, prompted him to place his order with a contented curl of his tiers as he awaited the delivery, an attempt to return to his studies a trying task.
