@โœงหš k. taehyung what was supposed to be something along the lines of a stress-free evening and having a good looking to maybe chat up and get to know a bit. being a divorcee was quite lonely - added to the fact that gayoung was a parapsychologist of all things. she saw spirits for a living, trying to help people and help these spirits cross over. you can say she's a real life ghost whisperer. thankfully watching the show while growing up as a kid may have helped her in more ways than one, added to her mentor being a pillar along with her mother by her side.

however, another day, another draining one that brings the haggard young woman to where she is right now. she was captivated by the side profile next to her. it's not everyday she would walk into haepung's local bar and spot a good looking man such as this one. she's not blind and anyone with functioning eyes can see just how stunning he is. that is- until he did what he did, creating another stressful mess. as if gayoung didn't have enough incidents and annoying encounters to deal with.

it's not like she's mad by any means, doesn't mean she's overly joyful and brimming with glee that now her lap is completely soaked with his drink. the stickiness of what she assume to be coke mixed with the rum didn't really help and the man spreading it in a panic with his jacket only made things worse as it spread the soiled, cold feeling all over her bare thighs - just under the flimsy material of her dress.

"it's fine.... i- jesus, you're fine, it's alright," breathing in deeply, and breathing out - gayoung thinks her inner peace of mind that's at work here. she also thinks that this might be the part of her that's a clinical psychologist, giving her some semblance of patience as a tired smile cracks onto her features. she tried her best to not grimace and a soft snicker sounds - first time since the clumsy mishap as she takes the man's coat, when she heard the compliment.

"well, then ... i guess we can both agree that we're gorgeous in each other's eyes huh?" the young woman flashed him a cheeky smile before removing his coat completely and frowning a little due to the mess that he made on his clothing on top of things. "you ruined your jacket now too, tsk tsk. you could've leave it - a mess, but I would've used paper towels." she mumbles with a small smile, a bit more relaxed now. she spoke to herself inwardly and told herself, 'it happened, it cannot be done, what's done is done. accept it and move on.' so here she is, grabbing a couple of paper towel squares that the bartender offers her way and she thanks him with a small grin before rubbing at the moistened cloth and even dipping under so she could wipe over her thighs that are sticky and gooey with the mixture.

"ah, you're not a complete idiot darling and thank you again for the compliment, but you don't need to fret about dry cleaning either - how about you buy yourself another drink and maybe the other round on you for myself, call that even and you keep me company tonight. sounds like a plan?" gayoung was definitely bold, she carried herself with confidence, charm and wit, she had a poised way about doing things and this wasn't a first encounter she has had where hits the fan. this was child's play honestly and she has been encountering worse during her entire week. it's almost the weekend and gayoung just wanted to de-stress from the week's work that kicked her left and right.

the sighting she had today was so negative and malevolent, she felt far too drained but she still managed to crack the man a small smile as her head tips to the side. "want to start off by telling me your name, handsome? i'm gayoung."

@โœงหš m. gayoung "And whose fault is that?" Taehyung grumbled into the phone. "Come on, you gotta help me out here. How am I suppose- Oh, come on!" Now he was whining, his fingers running through his bangs that had already outgrown themselves since the last time he cut them.

When the other line goes dead the burning sensation of stress accompanies the sting of him tugging on his poor hair in frustration. He loved his job, seriously he did, but when a very important and very expensive shipment of Kashmiri, a special type of saffron imported from India, magically disappears after being sent out for 'delivery' and no one can seem to pinpoint where it landed and no one can do nothing about it... he doesn't quite love his job.

Who does he call? Does he contact his insurance company for this? No one really teaches you these things right off the bat. He's been winging it since the moment he arrived in this small town with nothing but an old suitcase stuffed with all of his belongings and whatever dignity he could manage to scrape together. Not knowing a single soul and pouring his entire being into this shop in hopes of giving himself some sort of motivation to wake up every morning. It doesn’t do much to one's will to get out of bed.

Sighing Taehyung could only stare at his phone in silence, the screen cracked in multiple places from being dropped too many times, around him people moved passed him, going about their daily lives without so much of a glance in his general direction. It was times like this that he truly felt alone. Like a small, insignificant drop of water in a vast, raging ocean. It's not like he had anyone to turn to talk to about this, to maybe get some helpful advice, reassurance, or maybe just to vent about how he was now short close to a thousand dollars. Oh, how he was growing tired.

"Screw it," he laughed to himself "I'm getting a drink."

It wasn’t long until Taehyung found himself sitting in front of a chilled glass of rum and coke, the ice clanking together as he toyed with the drink, twisting it here and there as he eyed it. He hadn’t had a drink since he moved into town and the last time he did it landed him in front of his ex’s front door. Crying and begging to know why she had done what she did and if she ever truly loved him and meant all those bitter-sweet promises…

Shaking his head as he tried to get rid of those unwanted thoughts, Taehyung took a sip of the cool drink swallowing down any thought of her before he dug himself deep into the hole he had barely finished filling. He wouldn’t let himself fall again, he promised himself, promised that this time he would do it right. He will start over. He will be happy. But maybe with another drink because this one tasted like a dirty gym sock.

Grimacing he moved the drink away with his pinky suddenly very offended at the nasty taste of alcohol coating his tongue. It was time that he admitted that he was a man, a very ‘manly man’ he’d say, that enjoyed the privilege of a sweet fruity drink and there was nothing wrong with that!

“Good Evening dear,” the most angelic voice says at his side and despite its soft tone, scares the absolute crap out of Taehyung and sends his hands flying to cover the beating drum of his heart…and in its crossfire, the very full glass tips over and if his day couldn’t get any worse, and empties on this poor woman’s lap.

“Oh my god! I am SO sorry—” taehyung stutters as he shoots up, immediately shedding his coat to try to clean up the dark liquid. “I am so so sorry! I didn’t see you there, it’s been a day but still, that’s no excuse again I am so sorry—” he rambles as he very clumsily tries to mop up the liquid with his coat, his only new piece of clothing that he had gotten himself as a present recently getting ruined by the alcohol, not realizing that he just may be making the situation worse.

“I promise I’ll pay for the dry cleaning, oh my goodness I am so so sorry ma’am,” He stumbles as he finally looks up to the poor soul whose day he just ruined. Leave it up to Kim Taehyung to always make his problems everyone else’s problem. “Oh god, and you’re gorgeous and I just dumped my drink on your lap and now I look like a complete idiot.”

It wasn't unusual for moon gayoung to find her way walking into haepung's local bar in need of a quick fix. Sometimes it may be different types of wine, testing and trying, it always become a trial and error situation due to wanting to experience new things in life. But majority of the times— she would have to honestly say that it'll be something along the lines of her desperately needing to forget what happened today.

She was clad in a brownish toned dress, not fit or appropriate for work perse, but work called when she was on a leisure activity, meeting an old friend for lunch earlier, what was supposed to be fun and relaxing and ending off the evening with drinks at a fancy rooftop lounge her friend told her about— didn't even pass lunch.

She was called by a family she's assisting with their paranormal encounters and majority of the times, when it stresses her out and takes a huge toll on her, she's at the bar nursing a drink. Which she does as soon as she walked in, her long strands shifting with each step, heels clacking onto the floor as she comes straight up to the counter, knocking twice and asking for a gin and tonic. Her eyes found a male next to where she stands and simple says a sweet, "good evening dear." Before moving to settle down on the stool next to the handsome male. A side profile that showcases he is indeed a stunner— quite the looker.

@โœงหš s. kang the surprise slowly dissipated and morphed into fond amusement at the sight before her - her surprised, blind date, was no other than a guy she had worked for not too long ago. give or take two weeks ago? it was an event that surely took her breath away and the male did a good job at giving her the time of day she very much needed and wanted. to say the least, momo couldn't complain, she loved the evening and it went by splendid. "wow, offensive much? are you wishing it's someone else? should I take my leave now?"

the young woman taunts, a haughty grin on her lips, even tipping her little frame over towards the entrance she just came through, as if teasing that she would turn on her heels and get the outta there if the man wanted her gone. a twinkle of mischief and intrigue in her eye- dead set as she takes in the view that has become before her. song kang sitting there, looking as sharp and sleek as she recalled. even if the clothes is a bit more casual compared to the black tie event. hers included - since she chose to wear a long, flowing gown, with a low dip v line at the front and back. this time, she's showcased in a short, black dress that can be considered elegant, classy, yet a tad bit y.

at least, the young woman hoped for as much. a soft snicker eventually leaves her parted brims as the girl made her way over towards the chair that's tugged out carefully by the gentleman and a hand is carefully brushed up against his arm. "I see, chivalry isn't dead after all, why thank you, dear." a soft smile is shot his way as momo settles into her newfound seat, the warmth provided by the ambiance and serenity in the luxurious space that's the bar. the lights rained down on her body and highlighted the distinct makeup settled on her features as she brushes a hand through her strands, untangling the muss of locks.

"so- I am guessing the elders thought that we were a good match that night, hence all of this shenanigans," she flails a hand over at the male opposite to her, a wry grin playing on her lips as a soft laughter filled the air, alongside the music playing from the speakers on both sides of them and the chatter casually happening around them. leaning forward, arms folded atop the table, the young woman takes a long, hard look at the other with a soft hum of approval. "I can see that handsome is becoming of you - I think you look even better from when last I've seen you. imagine what I might be seeing next year to come added to that." her words are light, smooth and airy as a grin plays on her roseated pair while her fingertips busy themselves with drumming against the top of the table they're seated at.

"so - are you not heavily entertained by the choice of your blind date? one word, and I could easily leave you be you know," again, she's playing around, teasing him, wanting to get a little kick out of it as her foot reaches beneath the table to nudge against his with a soft chuckle leaving her pair. a softness is shown in her gaze as her visage lights up a bit and her eyes find the menu before the two, showcasing an array of cocktails, shots, wine choices, beers, stouts and mixed drinks. even added onto the side there's a list of cutters that can be chosen from to help with their alcohol intake for the night.

"do you want to order first and catch up, handsome?"

@โœงหš h. momo The sound of high heels clicking on the floor made him straighten his shoulders and prepare himself for a woman he had never seen. Blind dates were not his thing, but he was committed to at least appearing. He took one more sip of wine, hoping this would be an exciting person after all.

Then, he heard her voice, soft yet sounding with the hint of laughter. "I'm so sorry I am late, I got held back with a side gig." It was a voice he'd know anywhere, one which had often filled the room with laughter and a biting wit he'd never expected to enjoy.

He looked up, and there she was, Momo. The shock must have appeared on his face because she blinked twice, her eyes wide as they took him in. A flicker of surprise danced across her expression before a playful smirk replaced it. "…Song Kang…?" How his name rolled off her tongue so easily.

Song quickly shifted from surprised to unfazed, the easy smile he was known for slid back onto his face. "Momo," he said smoothly, while his brain was racing to fill in the gaps of how on earth /she/ had ended up as his blind date. He took in her outfit, classic Momo, all sleek lines and subtle allure, attired to perfection with that unmistakable confidence. The kind of look that tells you she isn't just here to play along with anyone's plans.

He set his wine glass down and leaned back, raising an eyebrow. "Let me guess… the old ones had something to do with this?" He managed a dry chuckle, his eyes met hers, sparkling with mischief. "And here I thought I'd get to surprise someone new."

For a moment, he was back at that function, remembering how she'd been his "plus one" at the black-tie event. He'd needed someone to fill the spot, someone comfortable handling herself among business types with ease and Momo had fit the bill to perfection. She'd been more than a stunning date, sharp and witty, she knew how to keep the conversation flowing, smoothing over his discomfort in that world with a cool, effortless charm. And, oddly enough, they'd enjoyed themselves, her snarky humor and ability to make him laugh had turned an otherwise unbearable evening into something.. almost fun.

They held each other’s gaze for a moment, the shared memory of that gala hanging in the air between them. It was strange, and maybe a little dangerous, being with someone who already knew his reputation but also knew how to handle him, and herself.

He stood up and pulled out the chair on the end of the table out for her, "Have a seat, Momo-chan."

@โœงหš s. kang her look: https://pin.it/3UenkL7F0

" it!" momo harshly swore at her heels as it flopped out of her hand for the nth time tonight. she was rushing to get ready, her deal cut late, she had a last minute assignment, to track down someone for the mob she's working for, keep an eye out and watch his every moves. she wasn't going in for the kill tonight - thankfully. but here she is, going in for something far more nerve-wrecking than a first kill.

her boss was a mother figure to her, at the services she worked at - of course, she wasn't supposed to be 'seriously' dating anyone. not like momo could even keep a relationship to begin with. the woman struggled to hell and back to even handle being committed to someone, as sleazy as it may seem. but mrs. shin wanted her to have the best of the best of her time at haepung and what better way than to set her up with a rich businessman on a blind date.

"fun stuff," she scoffed at her reflection, adding a bit of gloss over her rosy couplets, eyes sparkling with a hint of mischief, albeit annoyance. upon glancing at the clock, she was forty-five minutes late. the bar is right down the road- close to the little hotel she's staying the night at. due to convenience, as she rushed out, she makes sure her wallet, phone and other essentials are with her. a pocket knife tucked into her clutch for safety as and a pepper spray can - one can never be too careful. being a trained hit woman also allowed momo into the secrets of knowing about things out and about there. she wouldn't wish to face any semblance of trouble.

she doesn't know the man who she's being set up with, only know the table number he would be at, the bar being quite luxurious, with staff members waddling through and serving drinks and even little dishes if patrons got hungry. it was a prestigious place, not run down by any means as momo finally walked into the area. asking one of the waiters hanging around for the table number her boss lady told her that her date would be sitting at. "number 3?" momo was pointed in the direction and she smoothly walks over. heels clacking against the floors, even with the music thrumming from the bass speakers, her posture tall and proud, chin held high as her curves fell into flow with the tight-fitting black dress.

she always managed to dress to impress and tonight was no different, even if she wasn't keen on some silly, little blind date. her eyes fixate on the male as she stalked nearer, but his back faced her so she could only see the top of his fluffy strands. he's tall - that was... inevitably attractive to her to say the least. a curl on her lips is given as she walked on over and faces the male before bowing her head slightly. melodious voice tremoring from her parted lips, '"I'm so sorry I am late, I got held back with a side gig," momo eyes finally found the face she was speaking to, eyes widening and doing a double take, eyeing the waiter and the guy. this guy being no stranger whatsoever but a client of hers. a lovely one at that, someone she thoroughly got along with.

"... song kang...?"
โœงหš s. kang 2 weeks ago
@โœงหš h. momo The laughter and the soft strumming of a guitar within the bar were warm and lively. Low-hung lamps glowed upon the wooden tables in gold. Sitting hunched at a small table in a corner was Song Kang, swirling a glass of deep red wine, the color in the glass reflecting the flickering lights.

8:03 PM. Three minutes into the date. She's late, she might not even turn up. He should just leave. But his grandfather's voice still echoed in his head, "If I hear that you bail on this meeting, I'll make sure to have a line of girls queuing outside your house, each with a marriage cert and a pen in their hands." He groaned in silent, with a heavy sigh.

His grandfather had spoken only mysteriously of "a lovely girl," without disclosing her name or anything else. Skimming his finger around the rim of the wine glass, Kang made an attempt to appear unconcerned even while the knot in his stomach pulled tighter. He didn't like it one bit, being kept in the dark, but his grandfather wasn't about to take no for an answer, especially when it came to 'dating' and 'getting a wife' matters.

After a few minutes more of waiting, he was getting impatient. He reached for his phone, the cool glass surface against his warm skin, and rapidly typed in a message.

/She's still not here. Can I leave now?/

He hit send, his heart racing as he looked at the door with each swing, a mix of hope and frustration building up inside him.

The cheer of clinking glasses and voices raised only plunged him deeper into solitude, as if he was some outsider looking on from a world without him. He sipped the wine, cool and velvety, smooth to the taste, but it did little to ease his mind. He had barely any liquid remaining in the glass, while his mind was filled with many thoughts. Song Kang sat alone in a bar, waiting for his date to arrive. Yhe lively atmosphere in that place growing far away from his concerns.
