@Dim Sum Mina sat at her desk rifling through the papers that she had handed out to her class. It was just a simple worksheet they needed to fill out giving her basic information about their lives. Age, gender, likes and dislikes that sort of thing. Already she had several of her students complaining about it and it irritated her. It's not like Mina had given them homework or they were taking their placement test, which would come later. It was simple questions that they should know the answers to. She had even offered some early extra credit for those who wanted to stop by and help her with some few chores around the room. None had shown so far, but she was hopeful.
@Nyle At first Mina had been frightened, not of the child mind you but for him. Something about the way that he was carrying himself towards her told of a deep seeded pain. He was also terrified, of what she had yet to discover and something gnawed at her to save him. His slow approach gave her time to shift the papers she was working on into a pile on her desk.
His approach reminded her a little of a small child she had once seen. There had been a witch attack and most of the city had been devastated by it. She had been called in to investigate and take down the witch. The hunt had lasted a week and the confrontation was something that she wished she could forget. All the "collateral damage" that the citizens had suffered ripped her heart in two. She had destroyed the witch but not soon enough. After the dust had settled a little girl had approached her, much the same way that her student was, terrified of the things she was seeing. Mina could only imagine the scenes that would be playing in her nightmares for years to come. Things that a young child shouldn't have had to see.
He finally reached her desk drawing her attention back to the current matter at hand. When he finally blurted out that he couldn't resonate she understood why he seemed so terrified. Smiling at him softly Mina folded her hands to sit neatly on top of her desk.
"I remember you from my lectures and though I have yet to fully memorize my class roster I can assure you that I recognize your face." The boy had always been quiet in class and rather attentive. It was a nice change of pace from some of the other little hellions that also inhabited that class of hers.
Rising from her seat she walked around her desk to stand next to him. "I appreciate you coming to me in search of answers. One so young as you shouldn't have to worry about losing the ability to soul resonate but it does happen. There are many things that can cause it and there are very few who can never resonate again. Introducing something new into the system of the meister or stress for instance will throw off the wavelengths of your soul. Has anything happened recently?"
@Nyle (Never apologize for good writing hun. I used to write like that in high school because it was the only outlet that I had to express myself. I promise I won't feel bad. It's just an exercise in everyone has different writing skills and styles. It's been a long time since I RP'd with anyone.)
@Nyle Mina sat at her desk grading some homework that she had assigned. Most of the students hadn't done it not that it bothered her of course. She encouraged her students to be hands on learners. It was easier to practice instead of preach that way when push came to shove in a fight they weren't lacking. A noise outside her door pulled her from her thoughts. She knew that it was one of her students and she waited patiently for him to enter and express the things that were bothering him.
(Good lord it's about time for me to go to bed and this just shows that my brain isn't where I want it to be T-T)

Mianhee ~
I hate to do this because I really have a soft spot for my two characters but I would like to let them go... I don't feel like it's fair for me too take up two such popular face claims. Thank you for having me and maybe I can come back in the future when I'm less busy.
