The Beach

@Mars "You are a very sad man." Vetis said, shaking his head and sighing. He felt bad for Mars, he really did, but he just couldn't empathize. He'd never been close enough to anyone to really care if they died. There was no one in his life that was worth years, a life time, of depression and loneliness. He had one night stands, beautiful woman and the occasional y man thrown in there as well. That made him happy, he didn't connect to people and he was okay with that. "You and are almost exact opposites you know that?" He asked in amusement as he sipped at his second drink. "You care too much ,and I just don't give a about anyone."

@Vetis "I would have guessed that you would be the first to really enjoy being a teacher." he joked back at his friend and thanked the guy from the beach bar who brought over their drink. The comments about Pearl were all things he had heard before and he just let them slide off of his back like water off of the feathers of a duck. There was no way to compare such a loss. She wasn't a lover or just a friend, not even just a partner. They had been together for a year collecting evil souls, their souls resonated together thousands of times and were still bound at the moment of her death. "I am well aware of the numbers Vetis but I am still not interested. As it is, I am happy enough with this drink and this view."

@Mars "Being a teacher's not all it's cracked up to be." Vetis admitted with a disappointed sigh, he finished his drink and sat up to look at Mar. "Dude, no offense, but you gotta get over that girl. I get you two were a serious thing and all, but it's unhealthy." He said, frowning a little. He didn't like how miserable Mars sounded when he talked about that girl, granted maybe it was more like longing or sadness than outright misery, but to Vetis that was all about the same. He was hung up on a dead chick and needed to move on already. Vetis never let a girl get to him that deep. "There are millions of woman out there, you'll find a new one."

@Vetis When Vetis really got going on a subject Mars knew better than to interrupt or chime in. Rather he just let his friend get it all out. Instead he silently got the attention of the waiter at the nearby bar to get another drink for the both of them. "I was too busy kicking trying to become a death scythe for any of that nonsense. Well, until I met Pearl." Mars mumbled and then shrugged. "There really wasn't much time then for chasing girls and I ignored those who threw themselves at me." What he didn't say was how much he missed her, he couldn't. Even after all the years since her loss he didn't dare utter those words. "Bet you had fun though and this time you get to be the teacher."

@Mars "Pretty much, can't say as I really care about the rest. I don't make friends really well and importance that sounds too much like responsibility." Vetis groaned, shaking his head and running his fingers through his hair. "At least the nurse is hot, who doesn't have fantasies about a hot nurse?" He pointed out with a grin as he glanced over at Mars. "When I was still in school I had a regular thing with my nurse, and my teacher. I blame them for my promiscuity and the fact that I don't give a what's in your pants." He shrugged and picked up his drink, talking another healthy swallow. "My teacher was a son of a too, he loved to bend me over the desk. I miss him."

@Vetis "I remember being that way when I was their age. Hell, I was so cocky I refused to be paired up and did absolutely everything I could without a meister." he said with a laugh, reminiscing about his past glories until they got too close to her. At that moment he downed the rest of his drink, feeling the smile leave his face but tried to distract it by looking at his friend. "Is that it then? Not the friends or the importance of the school but one hot nurse you wanna sleep with?"

@Mars "Every day of my life." Vetis answered immediately, taking another long swallow his drink, "I hate kids." He admitted, groaning and sighing as he set his drink aside. "They're annoying, I mean they try and they have all these ridiculous dreams. But at least they have enthusiasm I guess." He shrugged and shook his head, setting the rest of his drink aside for the time being. "I should really retire, or find a new job, or both." He grumbled, "I swear the only reason I'm staying is the for the nurse." He said with a nod of his head. "I love hot nurses."

@Vetis Without any regard Mars snorted into his drink at his friend's comment and began laughing. "Oh lord. You are many things Vetis but angel is not one of them." he replied and shook his head. "We don't have anyone here that young although sometimes it does feel like it. The girl I am talking about is 19 so I guess she isn't really a girl but a young woman. Any younger and I truly will feel like a e." Mars looked over at his friend and stuck his tongue out playfully. "You know as well as anyone that I don't swing that way. Just not my thing, no matter how many or who tries." There was just something about the female form that spoke to him on a primal level. He had thought about men and even kissed a few but it honestly just felt disjointed to him every time. The attraction just wasn't there. "You ever wonder why on earth we are teachers sometimes?"

@Mars "I am an Angel." Vetis argued, chuckling and sipping at his drink, "I'm a god okay? I get boys and girls acting up in class trying to get detention. And the ones who stay after class to try to get extra credit. It would be cute if they weren't all like twelve. I like adults, is that too much to ask? I'm not screwing a student, they aren't any fun." He said with a disappointed sigh. "I'll stick to ing you." He teased, smirking and glancing over at the other and looking him over appreciatively. Mars was certainly hot as hell, Vetis would take him to bed in a second if he could. He appreciated a nicely build man, just as much as a curvy woman. He wasn't picky, it was all .

@Vetis "I know. I am so y that I am surprised angels aren't just falling out of the sky to get a piece of this." Mars replied with a completely straight face as he picked up his drink and brought it to his lips. The cool liquid felt amazing in contrast to the hot sun beaming down on them and the alcohol certainly didn't hurt his mood. "You're not bad either though. Driving everyone crazy yet this year? How many have confessed?" he asked, a small smirk on his lips as he rested back against his beach chair comfortably. "So far I think only one girl has a crush on me. She is cute and I might think of it if her partner weren't so clearly into her."

Vetis picked up the fruity drinks he had ordered and carried them over to the other man who was already relaxing on the beach chair, "Hey y, have a drink." He said, handing one of the drinks over and taking a sip of his own. "You look good without a shirt, just saying." He chuckled and sat down in his own chair, leaning back and sighing happily. He really needed a vacation from all the little brats at the school. He really hated kids sometimes, they could be a real handful. He didn't know why he signed up to be a teacher. It wasn't his brightest career move. But it accommodated his lazy light style, so he only complained half the time.
