Death City

@Blanc It was unusual to be so well-informed so Mars had to agree that is was at least something. Of course the skeptic in him had to wonder what Death hadn't told them because he truly doubted they had ALL of the information. Mars had been around too long to believe that it was all laid out for them so easily. There was probably a twist and that was what worried him, but only slightly.

"Rumors about what?" he asked and glanced at his partner, one eyebrow raising in his curiosity. There were always rumors at the DWMA and that was nothing new. Sometimes they were just plain weird but there were a few occasions where the rumors held some truth and those were the most interesting. "Yeah. It's up ahead."

The embarrassment of having been caught while staring sent her into a sheepish twitch. She tuned away despite feeling just a little bit of her doubt disappearing from the way he reacted. It lessened even more when she checked the direction of his waving. She flashed a bright smile and was about to tell him how she did not expect him to be fond of children, but that was soon forgotten.

"Good point..." At his words, a serious expression fleets upon her features, disappearing almost as quickly as it appeared due to her conscious effort to seem positive. "Well, at least we know something I guess!" She grinned at him and stretched her arms out above her head in a casual manner. She rid herself of her own negative thoughts by shaking her head as they walked on. Silence to her was terribly unbearable, as she often finds unwanted thoughts seeping into her consciousness, so she attempted to strike a conversation. "You know... I heard a lot of rumours..." she trailed off when she realised what she was about to say, and once again shook her head. "Ignore me. We're almost at the docks, right? Let's make sure we do this right."

@Eilisa Mina smiled happily at the woman. "I sleep on occasion but most of the time I have a million other things to do and when I try to settle down very rarely do I get to sleep. I always find that a good book helps."

Shaking her head at the woman, smile never leaving her face, she added. "Don't feel stupid. I think you're about the only other person that I have met in Death City that actually ENJOYS to read. That seems to be the problem. You'd think that most people would read not just the students that you force to do so."

@Mina "That...makes too much sense. God, I feel slow now." Eilisa, as uncomfortable as she felt with so much contact, decided to let the girl drag her along. She was only being helpful, so why prevent that? Plus she had been so mad about getting lost in a matter of minutes that she needed something - or someone - to keep her check. Who better than a giddy coworker.

"Does that mean.... you don't sleep much?" she asked, the words launching almost instantly out of . "I'm just wondering."

The weather was quite nice in the city for that time of year and he was enjoying it immensely. In fact the day was almost perfect except that he wasn't alone and it wasn't exactly a pleasures stroll. Mars was stuck out there on a mission with his new partner and he wasn't sure what he had done to bother her but she rather made it clear she held him in no regard with just a look. Under normal circumstances he would expect such a glance from a female because he would have done something to deserve it but this time he was relatively innocent.

Mars looked at her and blinked innocently, not really sure of what to say to her. Fortunately she seemed to distract herself with shopping so he didn't have to bother coming up with with anything. He shoved his hands in his pockets and shrugged casually before turning his gaze to cute toddler walking for the street with her mother. "I don't know." he said cutely, responding to his partner but waving at the child who had been staring at them. "Death likes to play games with us and honestly we were lucky to even know that."

Blanc accidentally let slip a wary sigh as she strolled down Death City, her mood slightly dampened by the sudden mission appointed to her as well as the new weapon. Truthfully, she barely even knew Mars, but she had heard rumours that he had walked out on several meisters before, and she could not stop herself from doubting him. Her doubt was clearly shown on her face as she took a long glance at him. Her expression only changed when they passed her favourite clothing store. "Special sale!" she exclaimed out of nowhere and longingly stared at the shop. "Ahhh, it that the one time I get to leave the Academy is because of a mission..." she muttered to herself before turning to the guy beside her, already calculating whether or not they would have enough time to shop after finishing their mission and before the shop's closing time. "Hey, Mars, how many people in total did we need to take out?"

Mina took the woman's arm in her free one and started leading her down the sidewalk towards the never ending set of stairs that would take them to the school that she adored. "You see, there aren't really that many well read people in Death City. About the only people who read are the students who are bettering themselves to enter the world of chaos. So a majority of the books are at the school." There had been many sleepless nights that she had been thankful the library was in the school. No walking the dark and gloomy streets in order to look for the perfect book to cuddle up with.

Eilisa rose an eyebrow. How could she be so... excitable over something as simple as a library. Well, to the lost female, it couldn't have been considered "small", but still...

Plus she knew where more than one was?!

"Oh yeah... schools have those..." The woman sighed as she scratched the back of her head. Now, did she keep it simple and go to the library that could easily be considered a lost in found or get lost in town trying to find a tiny building? "Welp, DWMA library it is!"

@Eilisa Mina giggled like a giddy school girl. The poor lost woman in front of her was looking for the very place that she frequented. Most people at DWMA tended to sharpen their fighting skills, she preferred her mental ones. Books were her small escape from the harsh reality that the world tended to offer.

"You would be lost trying to find my second most favorite place in the world wouldn't you? Fear not! For I know exactly where two can be located. The question now is do you want the smaller of the two located in the city or the bigger one that is actually in the school where you work?"

"Thanks," the dark-haired woman replied with a smile. She paused to look around the vicinity again. Before she spoke of this request, she had to make sure said building wasn't in view. She didn't want to look as ridiculous as she had already felt if it was found. But if she wasn't confused, then she wouldn't have met a new teammate... more or less. So she it up and decided to ask then. "Would you happen to know where the library is?"

@Eilisa Mina nodded knowing exactly what she meant. "Getting back to the original topic though I believe you said that you needed some help." She saluted the woman. "I am here to help you in any way, shape, or form that you need it. After all, DWMA staff has to stick together."

@Mina Eilisa nodded to this, "A little guidance, huh? Sounds nice. But yeah, that's nothing new. Pains in the neck are everywhere. I get headaches just thinking about them... and remembering the headbutts I delivered." She laughed then, placing her hands on her hips. "I still miss them, though."

@Eilisa Mina shrugged. "Not all the students are bad per say they just need a little...guidance. Every once in a while the guiding force is a good smack upside the head but it all works itself out in the end. Most of the students are good kids and others tend to be lunatics. It's keeps things lively though. I can promise you that you'll never be bored."

@Mina "Yeah, I heard... a lot happened at the school," Eilisa said with a small laugh. She extended her hand in return, shaking hands with her. "I'm Eilisa, and I'm the new nurse. Sometimes it's hard for me to believe myself, but it's true." She smiled a bit as she looked around the town once more.

"So, you must have the patience of a saint to teach students...again. Some I've seen can be pretty reckless. And they don't even have a partner yet."

@Eilisa Mina's smile widened. "I'm one of the teachers at DWMA. You're...Eilisa right? The nurse that took over after the...unfortunate incident." Things were always happening to the staff of DWMA. Some of them were reassigned places, others turned out to be villainous scum that needed to be hunted down and dealt with to keep the citizens safe, and others just retired to live out the rest of their days on a quiet beach somewhere.

Shifting her paper bag into the crook of her elbow she extended her hand to the woman. "We haven't been formally introduced. I'm Mina, I teach the new weapons and meisters all sorts of useful things."

@Mina "If I see the same coffee shop one more time...."

Eilisa had to stop herself then, noticing someone approaching her. A nervous laugh escaped her lips as she straightened her posture and scratched the back of her head.

"U-Uh, yeah. You can!" she replied before she paused to study the female's appearance. Besides being fairly interesting to the eyes, she seemed familiar. "Haven't I... seen you before?"

@Eilisa Mina had been peering through several store windows in an attempt to make sure that she had everything that she needed for the coming year. Her students last year had been little hellions and several things in her classroom had been destroyed. Some collateral damage was to be expected but really her model skeleton being chucked out the window had been the last straw. Thankfully none of the other faculty had minded when she borrowed one of her weapon students to put the brats in their places.

Shifting the bag in her arm she continued down the street. Glancing to her right she spotted Eilisa. The poor woman looked lost and even though Mina hadn't talked to her that much she knew how confusing Death City could be to those who were unfamiliar with it. As a fellow educator she felt that it was her duty to help her out. Walking up to the woman she smiled. "Is there anything that I can help you with?"

"Hm... Hate it already." Changing continents was a pretty big thing, but Eilisa didn't have much of a choice. "Oh well." As she walked the streets of Death City, the girl felt out of place. It was a feeling that easily swept over her, which made her want to drop everything and just stand on the sidewalk, staring at nothing. "Jeez... just where is the library, anyway?"
