@♦ Jongin "Kai, you weren't getting us a good deal on the place, you are getting us a reputation of being impossible so no other realtor wants to help us," Jinki deadpanned. "Besides, I didn't like that house anyway. It wasn't very... homely. I would probably end up killing someone over those ugly yellow tiles in the bathroom." He sighed and got his phone out to check the list. "Yeah, there is one in a suburb. The pictures look nice, but like you say, we don't want to be too far from the school. We can go check and see what it's like, and if we love it... well, we will have to find out if there are busses or trains or something near so we can get to the university, and if not, we will just have to find another place."
@ρ Jinki "What? I was going to get us a great deal on this place," Kai argued, crossing his arms and glaring at the house as they walked over. "Stupid woman, thinks she can pull one over on me. I watched a lot of reality TV while Jongin was at school you !" He shouted, glaring at Jongin next when he pulled him further away from the house.
"You need to calm down," Jongin giggled, kissing Kai's cheek. "So, which house was next on our list to check out?" He asked, wrapping his arms around Kai's waist partly to keep from going back into the house, and partly just to try to get him to calm down a little. He was clearly still annoyed and it was adorable, but Jongin did feel bad for the poor realtor lady. "Wasn't there one a little further from town? I'm not sure how far I want to go from the school though."
@♦ Jongin Jinki dragged Kai out of the house carefully, breaking into a small laugh when Jongin spoke. "I have to agree a litte on that, Kai," he said, shaking his head at his former spirit boyfriend. "It's okay though, I didn't really like that house anyway. We should send Leeteuk to talk to the poor boy though, he looked miserable," he said with a little shiver.
@ρ Jinki "On the contrary you are obligated to tell us of any accidents that happened in the house, so we aren't buying completely blind. You completely neglected to even mention the death because you knew it would drive down property value." Kai snapped back, glaring but he backed off when Jinki squeezed his arm. "We won't be asking for you again that's for damn sure. Next time we will get a competent realtor." He said, so glaring one last time at the woman before he allowed himself to be more or less dragged out of the house
"Alright, new rule, Kai doesn't get to talk to realtors." Jongin piped up as soon as they were out of the house.
@♦ Jongin "It is not something we tell the interested party unless they ask, as most people do not wish to know such things. You asked me but you did not give me a chance to reply," the lady said, highly offended.
"I know, we really should," Jinki said with a sigh before going over to Kai and giving him a gently squeeze. "I think we will take our leave and call you back if we need your help again. Thank you," he said diplomatically, hoping she wouldn't go gossiping to all her realtor friends so they would be unable to find any help at all.
@ρ Jinki "It's damn well possible, this is not the first house hunt I've been on. I know how this works. If you think you can neglect to mention something like a death on the property and still expect us to not only buy from you, but pay full price you're delusional. How do I know you're not going to lie to us about the next place? I demand a discount on whatever house we chose or I will report you for unlawfully withholding information and you will lose your liscense." Kai threatened, his eyes narrowing into a heated glare as he argued with the stupid woman. He was so glad he spent so much time watching TV back when he didn't have a body, he could have been a great actor.
Jongin groaned softly and leaned against Jinki, "I think we should stop taking him places..." he whispered, feeling a bit bad for the realtor lady, but then again she really hadn't said anything about anyone dying in the house.
@♦ Jongin The lady opened and closer and clearly didn't know what to say before Kai demanded a discount. "I'm sorry, w-we can't do that, that would be far below the worth and it's not possible..."
Jinki ignored her continued ramble and sent Kai a glare. He could see the emo kid very clearly too and wondered what had happened to him. He felt a little sick, and he knew he didn't really want to live in this place. He would probably ask Leeteuk to go here later and help the poor kid move on. "I'm sorry, I don't think this house is for us. Do you have any others you can show us?" he asked, interrupting the lady's ramble.
"That's wonderful, but how's the water heater? What's the average cost of utilities for this place? Has anyone died here? Oh, wait you don't have to answer that clearly someone did. Was it the last owner? Oh, no, his son. Okay, you didn't tell us that." Kai said, giving the realtor a less than impressed look as the clearly dead clearly employees teen drifted down through the ceiling. He looked surprised that Kai could see him and Jongin clearly looked uncomfortable with him there. "If someone died in this house recently, I want at least 40% off the asking price, since you so helpfully neglected to tell us that." The kid really wasn't an issue, they could get rid of him easily enough, Kai just didn't want to have to pay full price for anything, let alone something as expensive as this house.
@♦ Jongin Jinki rolled his eyes at his boyfriends, hoping Kai was right.
"And as you can see, the floor is brand new, just put in last year. It's the same in the dining room. The kitchen was renovated last year as well, so it has the newest appliances," the lady explained, waving her hands around. She had given them an odd look when they showed up all three, but had soon gotten over it again, much to Jinki's relief.
He looked around the living room, trying to imagine how it would look with their furniture. He was still not over the fact that Kai had somehow managed to snag up enough jewelry for them to be able to look at small houses. A house had its benefits but he was kind of still stuck in the apartment mentality. The kitchen of this house was really nice though.
@ρ Jinki "I don't even technically exist, if anyone would go down for it it would be Jongin," Kai pointed out with a cheeky smile as he went over to help clean the dishes, ignoring Jongins squeak.
"M-me?! I've never done anything..." Jongin groaned and buried his face in his hands. "Sometimes I hate you Kai..."
"No you don't," Kai argued with a cocky grin, receiving an unamused glare from Jongin that only made him laugh. "Relax, no one is going to jail."
@♦ Jongin "If you are certain. Cause honestly, we don't have the money to bail your out if you get caught. So don't be," Jinki said, stroking Kai's arm a little. Then he gently pulled it off him so he could go wash up the dishes, not a big fan of messes when they could easily be avioded. "Maybe we should buy some more food too, so we don't have to live off of leftovers.."
@ρ Jinki "Don't worry, I was a master of space manipulation. This world and the spirit world aren't always even. It's about impossible to explain, but the stuff I stole was never reported, trust me." Kai promised, waving away Jinkis concern. Jongin was looking at him suspiciously so he just smiled and shrugged as innocently as he could.
"Do I even want to know?" Jongin asked finally, he had never really known what Kai spent all his time doing when he wasn't within his line of sigh. Jongin had honestly not put much thought into it which he felt guilty for. The spirit world just scared him, and he didn't want to be close to it, especially not when he had been so connected to it.
@♦ Jongin Jinki tilted his head, confused as hell. How the had Kai managed to steal things and be solid long enough to get them to a safe place? He wasn't sure his brain could really comprehend anything right now. He looked up when Kai spoke to him, frowning a little. "The money, yes, but I don't want you in pawn shops, Kai. I don't want you to get in trouble," he said, still frowning. "Though maybe Leeteuk can glamour you so it's a little safer. I would feel a lot better if that was the case, at least if you insist on going. I don't know where you got it, but if it was reported stolen..."
@ρ Jinki "Oh, hey, that reminds me. We should pick up my stash at some point in time." Kai said, he could have smacked himsel for not remembering sooner. They really could have used the money. "I didn't spend all that time swiping just for it to rot in that building." He pointed out when Jongin opened his mouth to argue. "We sell the jewelry to pawn shops, and the money we can use to buy a new microwave and a few other things this place needs."
"Kai... I don't know. How do you even know it's still here? I mean..." Jongin tried to argue but Kai cut him off with a shake of his head.
"I know it's still here because that thing was as protective of it as I was. I think it was planning on using the money to kick start whatever new life it thought it was going to have," Kai explained, turning to Jinki. "Would you really say no to extra money right now? Can we even afford to?"
@♦ Jongin Jinki rolled his eyes. "You are y, even if you don't know it," he said, putting a hand on Kai's arm and giving it a squeeze. "And I really don't think so, Kai. You have also seen me fall over air countless of times. At least in bed there's not that far to fall," he said with a little smile. "But feel free to try. Just be prepared that you might actually end up in the hospital with serious injuries..." he continued with a shrug before pushing the food away. "We really need a new microwave.. Should we go find one now? I think I can make room in the budget for a new one," he said, figuring he could skip lunch at school for a while so they could afford a much needed new appliance.
@ρ Jinki "I don't know about that..." Jongin flushed and shook his head, "I'm not really y, I'm more like accidental..." He said, pouting a little bit as he ate the dinner. It wasn't the best reheated but he wasn't going to complain, food was food. Though he was pretty sure Kai's annoyance with it was bothering him more than the actual taste of the food itself.
"I think we could teach you to dance Jinki," Kai said, smirking as he abandoned his food entirely and stood up to walk over to Jinki, draping his arms around his neck. "I know how well you can move, and dancing isn't so different you know."
@♦ Jongin "I might leave the Halloween scaring to you guys," Jinki said with a little grimace. "I was never that fond of having scary children running around. I mean... they are always scary, but at Halloween they actually come in packs and think it's okay to harass poor, innocent people... No, I think I'll go to a hotel room and hide instead," he said, shrugging lightly. He wasn't fond of spending money on things like that, but he genuinely hated Halloween for the hordes of children if brought with it. He shuddered. "Yes, I think so. You are both on legs, so, you know.... hot."
@ρ Jinki "We could just freak everyone out and finishes each other's sentences all the time.." Kai mused, chuckling at the mental image. "We talk twin telepathy to a whole new level." He smirked and took a few bites, immediately unenthused with the leftovers but he was too lazy to care. "Halloween this year is going to be seriously awesome. We won't be able to do a haunted house thing this year, but now there's three of us. We'll have the best house on the block..." He grinned and nudged Jongin's side.
"Best apartment anyway," Jongin corrected, chuckling as he nudged Kai back. "Yeah, it is too bad you can't play the big bad poltergeist... That's always so much fun." He giggled softly and mused on Jinki's comment. "You think us dancing together would be hot? Hmm maybe, Kai has a tendency to make everything ual..."
@♦ Jongin Jinki nodded in agreement. "Good idea. I can go to the office tomorrow and get a form to fill out," he nodded, handing another plate to Jongin and then taking one for himself. He grabbed a fork and sat down at the table to start eating. "I'd love to see you dance together. It would be awesome. And hot..." he mused, his fork in his mouth as he endulged in the mental image.
@ρ Jinki "I was just going to go to your school, I don't think I want to test out just how far Jongin and I can go from each other. I know that Leeteuk said physically we can be as far away as we want, but I don't think that's good or us psychologically. Besides, it would be nice to finally be able to sit in the classroom myself and interact with people. Talk to the teachers, get credit for my answers." Kai said, chuckling softly and hugging Jongin a little tighter.
Jongin laughed and moved away from Kai so that he could take the plate from Jinki. "We could definitely dance for you. I'm sure the teacher will let us work together if we ask her. I think Kai and I would be really good partners."
@♦ Jongin "That makes sense," Jinki said, having forgotten that Jongin danced ballet. "I kind of want to see you dance sometimes. Both of you," he said, turning around when the microwave gave a ping to signal that the food was done. "I can't really dance. I would break both my legs and at least one limb on all people in the room," he chuckled awkwardly, taking the food out of the microwave. "But a college sounds good. You are probably right, it would be good to try your strengths and see what you like. Do you have a college in mind or should we just get you enrolled in the one Jongin and I go to?" he asked.
@ρ Jinki "A cooking school?" Kai repeated, raising an eyebrow and glancing down at Jongin. "Hmm, I don't know. I never really considered it. I mean, honestly I'm not sure what I want to do." He chuckled and trailing his fingers up and down along Jongin's back. "I never really needed to think about it. I mean, I enjoyed cooking because it was something I could learn to do and seemed to be better than Jongin. I enjoyed dancing, even if we have different styles I didn't hate the ballet. I don't know what I want to do. I think I like cooking as a hobby for you guys, but I don't know if it's something I want to go to school for." He explained, kissing Jongin's temple, and his cheek and finally his lips. "I think I want to enroll in a college, to explore my options for real and figure out where my strengths are. I can go to Jongin's dance classes, I'm sure we can come up with some excuse as to why Jongin suddenly has a twin brother."
@♦ Jongin Jinki managed to get the microwave to start and then leaned back against the counter while it worked. "Leeteuk /is/ a miracle worker. If he wasn't so well versed in wizardry I would think him an angel," he said with a little smile. He liked seeing Jongin and Kai interact like this, so happy that they finally had the chance. "We were talking about looking up cooking schools in the area to see if there were any good ones. Jongin thought you might like it. I mean, it might be something for you to do, if you want that," he said, shrugging a little because he wasn't sure how he would react to that suggestion.
@ρ Jinki Jongin pulled on a pair of pajama pants and one of Jinki's shirts before he headed out to the kitchen to see Kay grumbling and muttering swears words at the dysfunctional microwave. Kai shuffled aside when Jinki came over though, throwing the microwave one last withering glare. "I'll get one for us, it was my fault it's not working anyway. One of my temper tantrums ed the stupid thing up. Honesty we're lucky anything in this house works at all. Leeteuk is some kind of miracle worker." He pointed out, leaning against the counter and glancing at Jongin. "So, you two done with your love fest all ready? Honestly, you're going to give me diabetes. I should probably see a doctor already. I swear my blood sugar is reaching dangerous levels being a around you two." He said, only half joking, but he still accepted a grinning Jongin into his arms, kissing his cheek.
"Yeah yeah, you're just as much cotton candy as we are," Jongin pointed out, leaning against Kai and resting his head on his shoulder.
@♦ Jongin Jinki chuckled and got up, not wanting his boyfriend to break the microwave. "We should buy a new one," he agreed, pulling on a robe so he was covered. "Mmh, we can look up culinary schools and see if there are any good ones he would like to take a look at," Jinki said, pulling a pair of slippers on. Culinary school would be expensive, but if that was where Kai's interest was, Jinki would do his best to find an additional job so he could make that dream come true for him. He just hoped he would still have time to spend with Jongin and Kai if he had to juggle university and two jobs at the same time. Going to the kitchen, Jinki wrapped an arm around Kai and gently pushed him away until he had room to work the microwave so it would work. "Sorry it's so old. We should get a new one," he said though he figured Kai already knew that since Jonginhad said it a minute ago.
@ρ Jinki "Ummm..." Jongin trailed off and focused back on the link for a moment before giggling, "He's fighting with the microwave. It's being stubborn again. We should really buy a new one." He smiled and leaned over to kiss Jinki softly. "We should probably go rescue him before he breaks something, or sets the house on fire." He said, not really worried but he could tell that Kai was growing frustrated. While he loved to cook and all, he hated reheating things, or frozen food items. He thought they were disgusting and an abomination. His love for cooking stemmed from only fresh ingredients that he could actually learn to do things with. "We should show him some culinary schools."
@♦ Jongin Jinki smiled, leaning in to kiss Jongin's pout away. "Mmh, if anybody knows anything, it's him," he said with a nod. He was glad Jongin wasn't stubborn about it and insisted on doing it even if it had negative repercussions. He d Jongin's cheek, marvelling at the soft skin. "How far is Kai in the cooking?" he asked, already missing the other. He didn't want Kai to feel exiled or left out and he worried a lot that he would accidentally do or say something that made one of his boyfriends feel less loved.
@ρ Jinki Jongin pouted a little bit at Jinki's logical reasoning, but he had to admit that it was true. Even Jongin didn't know nearly enough about magic to know if it could be done, but he would still talk to Leeteuk about it just in case. Maybe there was a way to do it, and maybe it wouldn't cost them too much. Sure it had been difficult when they didn't know what they were doing and only had their own magical abilities and experience to go on. With Leeteuk's help maybe it could be made easier. Smiling softly he nuzzled into Jinki's palm, softly kissing it. "Well... I'll talk to Leeteuk about it, just to see. I promise that if it will have any negative repercussions then I will stop thinking it about it entirely."
