@hyemin p。ᵘⁿᶜʰᵃᶦⁿᵉᵈ Chanyeol's eyes widened, not expecting such an alert at this hour, but crime never did stop, after all. With a sigh, he shook his head. "Such a shame, though, you're going to be on your first case here in Magnolia, so this is a great opportunity, I suppose." He said once she linked their arms together, finding the action to be rather endearing. "Don't worry, pretty lady, you won't get lost with me!" The werewolf chirped with a playful wink before he whisked her away to the meeting room.
@chanyeol p。ʳᵉᵃˡ-ᵖᶜʸ Hyemin would nod her head in response to the offer, parting her lips to speak when a voice calls out across the office. “Officers, board room, now! We’ve got a homicide.” It was the Sheriff, his expression grim and yet somehow lit with excitement. The newer officer sends Chanyeol a curious look before pushing off from where she had been leaning and hooking an arm around the taller officer’s arm. “Lead the way!”
@hyemin p。ᵘⁿᶜʰᵃᶦⁿᵉᵈ "Maybe he actually needs that. It would teach him not to be such a ," the wolf snorted, and even though he was more or less joking, it was easy to tell that Hyemin definitely wasn't. He could tell by her tone that she meant business and he made a mental note not to piss her off. "I see. Don't worry, the other two guys are very friendly. Especially Sheriff Kim. It's always important to have a strong, reliable person in charge of a department, and he for sure fits that category well. If you'd like me to give you a short tour, we can start with his office."
@chanyeol p。ʳᵉᵃˡ-ᵖᶜʸ “Let’s just say that if he decides to do any suspicious business with me... he will never make that choice for anyone again!” Her eyes would crinkle softly as she grins, a lighthearted and yet chilling threat behind her words. At his question, her eyebrows would raise and blue irises would cast their gaze across the offices. “Other than him, and meeting you right now— I do not believe so. If that man is the worst to come I am sure the rest will be easy.”
@chanyeol p。ʳᵉᵃˡ-ᵖᶜʸ Luhan watched the two play around with each other for a bit, not realizing he had been shivering a little until the jacket was situated over his shoulders to keep the slight breeze from at his exposed arms. “Thanks,” he mused, shifting a bit so the kitten could be seen more, but she seemed content to remain within the warmth of his shirt, “She’s been all over me lately. So has Pip but not as bad since he burns off energy quicker. He knows how to roll over now, though!”
@han l。ᵃʳᶦᵉᵗᵉˢ Chanyeol practically had to pry the eager pup off of him so he could wipe his face with his sleeve and stand up, but even then, Pip scampered around the giant's long legs as he made his way closer to the picnic table. He placed his jacket over the elf's shoulders, making sure it was situated properly so it could help warm him up. After sitting down, he instructed Pip to sit, and with reluctance, the puppy plopped down on his , tongue hanging out and tail wagging happily behind him. Chanyeol then reached out and gently tapped Kana's tiny nose before blowing her a kiss. "Are you having fun tucked inside your mom's shirt?" The werewolf asked with a soft chuckle. "I'm sure it's nice and cozy, hm?"
@chanyeol p。ʳᵉᵃˡ-ᵖᶜʸ The elf was so excited to get lunch with the werewolf that he totally forgot to grab a jacket for himself, only dressed in a t shirt and jeans as he walked to the police station with Pip and Kana. The kitten had managed to squeeze her way into his shirt as he exited his apartment, though, so he carried her tucked into the fabric of his t-shirt as Pip tugged on the leash, excited to go on another walk. He had managed to locate the picnic table easily once he arrived and sat down to let Kana muzzle against the bottom of his chin, beaming at Chanyeol when he appeared. “Hi, Chan! We missed you lots so we came to visit!”
@han l。ᵃʳᶦᵉᵗᵉˢ After arranging a lunch date with the other male, Chanyeol finished up a few documents and grabbed his phone and the extra jacket he promised before making his way outside and to the back of the police station. He immediately was greeted with the sight of Luhan and their two adorable pets, a smile making its way onto his face right away. "Hey, Lu. Hi, Pip. Hi, Kana!" He chirped and knelt down so he could let the pup all over his face. "I missed you guys, too."
@cindy k。ʷᵒˡᶠᶦᵉᶜᶦⁿᵈʸ "I have little to worry about? What do you mean by that?" Chanyeol asked, a curious brow raised. He reached and gave her hand a firm shake before dropping it and letting his arm return back to his side. "Ah, I'm sure you do. It's not such a bad thing to accept help, though, either. I'd be glad to rough 'em up a bit if they ever give you trouble. "Likewise. I think we'll be great partners. Have you taken a trip around the entire department and met with all three officers yet? I know you met one already, but..."
@chanyeol p。ʳᵉᵃˡ-ᵖᶜʸ "I agree that face to face conversations are the best form of communication. Definitely. As for him... well, let's just say you have little to worry about." Her gaze seems to twinkle mischievously as a light titter of a laugh slips from her lips. She offers her hand to the other, white nails a stark contrast against her tanned skin. "I have plenty of ways to keep creepy men like him out of my hair. It will be a pleasure working with you, Chanyeol. I can feel it already."
@cindy k。ʷᵒˡᶠᶦᵉᶜᶦⁿᵈʸ "It's nice to finally meet you, too, Cindy. We've talked a bit on the Imperial app, but face-to-face conversations are always more genuine and beneficial, don't you think? Plus, we'll be able to get ot know one another better this way." He replied, a smile of his own spreading across his face. "Oh, no. I'm definitely going to mind him because like I said before, he does this a lot. That's partly why we won't let him interview female suspects or witnesses. It just never ends well, unfortunately."
@chanyeol p。ʳᵉᵃˡ-ᵖᶜʸ Cindy looked up from the book she was reading, her fingers lingered on the pages of, "Microsoft Word: For Dummies!" as though holding the answer to the world. A bright smile grows faintly onto her cherry lips and with a lighthearted giggle she sets the book onto the desk she had been leaning on. "It's nice to finally meet you! Don't mind the officer, he can't help it." Her eyes travel along his form naturally before snapping back to his face. "Succubus, remember?"
@cindy k。ʷᵒˡᶠᶦᵉᶜᶦⁿᵈʸ Just like he said, as soon as he was done taking notes on the numerous phone calls and voicemails left in his inbox, the werewolf opened up his office door and poked his head out. After spotting Cindy right off the bat ( mainly because she was new and the only female in the station ), Chanyeol wandered over to where she was standing. "So, what do you think of the place so far, newbie?" He asked, then lowered his voice slightly. "Other than being stared down by a coworker already..."
@namjoo k。ᵈᵘᵐᵐʸʲᵒᵒ Aw, well that's sweet to say! You're a wonderful addition to the town, Namjoo. /grins as Kana picks her head up and meows at the woman/ She says that it was nice to meet you. /chuckles/ Yeah, let me know if you come up with something. Anything could help, so remember that. And sure, feel free to call. But you're more than welcome to stop by, just to talk. Don't be a stranger! I get bored here pretty often.
@namjoo k。ᵈᵘᵐᵐʸʲᵒᵒ That sounds good then. I want to try and help out the best that I can. /hums, reaching to gently twirl my finger around Kana's tail, laughing quietly when she starts to 'attack' the appendage/ No need to thank me. My goal is to keep everyone here safe, and you're no exception. As long as you live in Magnolia, then you'll be under my protection. But yes, that would be extremely helpful. I can see if I can dig up any further information while I'm waiting for you to bring the documents to me.
@namjoo k。ᵈᵘᵐᵐʸʲᵒᵒ I'm sure it's not your fault. But hey, if you do end up finding anything, let me know, alright? Even the smallest thing, I can track off of. It doesn't take much. I just need his scent. /runs a hand through my hair after setting Kana on top of my desk, watching as she padded around on the keyboard/ Of course, it's no trouble at all. Well, yeah, I wouldn't like to be away from him for a long period of time, but maybe I can take some of the shifts if the guys need me to. Um...If there's anything you need me to know, about your friend, you, or the people who could be after you, it would potentially be helpful.
@namjoo k。ᵈᵘᵐᵐʸʲᵒᵒ Oh, I'm glad. I'm glad. I haven't been here for too long yet either, but I've settled in well and have a job doing what I love and a boyfriend, so I'd say I'm doing more than alright. /gives her a sheepish smile before nodding/ Yeah, most people here are welcoming and chill. A fallen angel...hm...Do you have anything of his that I'd be able to smell? I could find him easily with that. /once again nods my head as I stretch out my long legs in front of me/ I understand. We don't have very many cops here at the moment, but maybe we could try and recruit more, so a policeman could sit outside your home or hotel room at night to keep you safe? I'd offer, but I just wouldn't have that much time...
@namjoo k。ᵈᵘᵐᵐʸʲᵒᵒ Are you happier now coming here to practice instead? I know you haven't set up yet at the hospital, but.../my brows knit together in the center of my forehead/ Huh? Why did you guys end up parting? If that's not too invasive or anything. However, if you want me to be able to find him, which, I'm assuming that's what you came here for, then I'm going to need lots of details about your traveling companion. I'm an excellent tracker, but I need some information to go off of.
@namjoo k。ᵈᵘᵐᵐʸʲᵒᵒ /after listening to her story, I blink and then nod my head slowly/ It's probably safer here than in any other city. Everyone that lives here contributes to that, especially myself and the other officers, because, well, that's our job; to keep the citizens safe. But, you're saying that you ran off with a supernatural from another city, and now you're both living here? Or did I get that wrong?
@namjoo k。ᵈᵘᵐᵐʸʲᵒᵒ /watches as she rubs her head against the woman's hand, then reaches to pick her up, holding her in my arms before humming/ Of course. /says while plopping back down on my seat and nods my head towards one of the vacant seats nearby/ Go ahead and sit down, Namjoo.
@namjoo k。ᵈᵘᵐᵐʸʲᵒᵒ /looks up from the file that I was scanning over once I hear my name being called, a smile forming on my lips as I stand up to greet her/ That's me. I'm assuming that you're Namjoo then? It's good to see that you found the station without getting lost. /says as Kana pokes her head out from behind my shoe, peering up at the new woman in interest before letting out a quiet 'meow'/ Oh, and this is Kana!
@hansol c。ᵛᵉʳˣⁿᵒⁿ "it's the least i could do after /my date/ sent him to the hospital," minnie countered, though she couldn't stop the small smile making its way on her lips. she knew what was coming. it was only a matter of seconds until he would give in — and there it was. a content sound left from , although it didn't last long. not with the police officer revealing the outcome of the fight.
noticing the way hansol was glaring at the officer, she nudged him gently and kept her eyes on the human. she could only hope he would allow it, especially since she was the heiress of this town; if he even recognized her at that. her stomach sunk when she saw the officer shake his head, still avoiding eye contact with hansol. the witch's orbs focused on the handcuffs dangling from his belt. she couldn't imagine those on her friend's hands. besides, those flimsy restraints wouldn't really hold back him from doing much. he would easily be able to break the cuffs if he wished to.
seeing as the officer would not be letting them off easily, minnie couldn't help the thought of pushing the man's mind into a more favorable position for the pair. she knew it was wrong and no doubt guilt would consume her later, she did not want to see hansol going behind bars. it was much more preferable that they ended their date with a walk back to their respective homes. without even thinking twice, she stared into the officer's eyes with the friendliest smile she could muster up, the mind control incantation running through her mind that she had memorized regretfully. but it was temporary, thank goodness. it seemed to be working because he was definitely in a trance, and only when she broke her gaze from his did he finally speak.
"ah, actually, you are free to bail him now. in fact, please take your time with it. i'm very sorry for the inconvenience."
"oh, that's pleasant to hear! we'll work out the bailing process tomorrow. thank you very much," she chirped up, an exaggerated chuckle leaving . "we'll be taking our leave now then, right hansol?" holding onto his arm, she bowed to the officer and inched her way over to the exit.
@minnie y。ᵐⁱⁿˣⁿⁱᵉ "haaah?" hansol drawled, and he looked at minnie with an eyebrow raised. "why are you going to apologize to that ? it's his ing fault! why would you apologize for something you didn't even do?" there was no way in hell that he was going to let the witch go off on her own to that man. he was well aware of the fact that she was more than capable of protecting herself, but /still/. thinking about her going alone irked him to no end, so he leaned back on the chair, a scowl on his face. "i'm going to come with you — but i ain't gonna apologize to that , got it?" he said. him apologizing to a mere human?
no.
his cheeks were scarlet at her next words, and he looked away, suddenly finding the floor more interesting than anything in the room right then. "shut up," he sputtered, sinking into the seat even more.
then the bastard — police officer — came again with a displeased look in his face. not that hansol cared. this man was a human, after all. although even if he was rough, he had enough respect for the rules and law, but that wasn't to say that he would mind breaking them if he thought it was necessary. he clicked his tongue, and he glared at the man with an intensity that would unnerve anyone that was at the receiving end of it. he noticed the way the police officer tensed and avoided the dog's glare. nevertheless, he kept his gaze at the human without faltering.
@hansol c。ᵛᵉʳˣⁿᵒⁿ minnie let out a 'hmph' and crossed her leg over the other. "if you won't go . . . then i guess i'll go by myself," she concluded with a shrug of her shoulders. smiling up at hansol, she glanced at him with expectant eyes, still clinging onto his arm. he would definitely not like it if she went alone, especially if the man really had been staring at her with bad intentions as he had claimed. "of course, you'll look good, but you'll get frown lines. besides i prefer you with a smile. you look ten times more handsome then," she confirmed with a nod of her head as her eyes studied his features for a brief moment.
"do you really want me to?" she queried, a teasing tone underlying the question. the witch ruffled his hair and then smoothed the locks down neatly as could be done with hands. out of the corner of her eyes, she noticed the approaching figure of the officer that had dealt with them earlier. "we have company," she whispered, lowering her hand down. the face of the officer did not look very pleased and she could only hope this wouldn't end badly.
"mr. choi hansol, you have been charged for disturbing the peace according to witnesses. you'll be doing jail time until someone can bail you out. you'll have to wait until the case is completed before bailing however," the man announced gruffly as he handed minnie the paper to fill out about the incident that occurred.
as soon as those words left the officer, she felt her body tense up. it was no surprise that it might end like this, but the idea didn't settle well on her. naturally, who would accept their friend being arrested? "a-ah, officer, why don't we pay the bail now?" her hold on hansol's arm tightened, afraid he might be out of her reach if she didn't hold him firmly enough.
@minnie y。ᵐⁱⁿˣⁿⁱᵉ "apologize? ha! no," hansol said, looking away and crossing his arms in front of his chest. he closed his eyes in instinct when he felt her finger on the space between his brows, and he fought the urge to let a sound pass from his mouth other than a grunt. "why would i apologize to that bastard? he deserves that — and i'm still going to look good even if i have a glare anyway." was he confident? yes. was he arrogant? no. how was telling the truth arrogant, anyway? he was someone who never lied — he absolutely thought that he was one good-looking lad. well, if one got genes as good as he did, they'd think the same.
unfortunately for them though, he was one of a kind.
"if you want me to stop complaining then you can start by letting go of my hair," he grumbled. he didn't mean that — of course, what dog didn't like petting? heck, even humans liked it. his cheeks still felt warm, and he badly wanted to learn the ability to control his blush — no, not blush, just the redness of his cheeks because he /never/ blushed. "i'm not a puppy, damn it." lack of bite. he felt a light shiver in his body when her fingers grazed his ear, and the coral hues of his cheeks darkened just a little bit. "o-oi!"
@hansol c。ᵛᵉʳˣⁿᵒⁿ with a raised brow, minnie gave the glaring male a pointed look. "he's not as strong as you anyways. besides, you must have him terrified of us now! we need to apologize." it was a miracle really that hansol had never been in trouble before with how reckless he could get sometimes. she could feel his glaring orbs on her and clicked her tongue in response. "your face is going to stay that way if you glare too much," she chided, moving her hand to press gently in between his eyebrows before returning to his hair.
"you act like this is the first time i'm doing this," she scoffed, not even the slightest bit alarmed by the volume of his voice. she could feel curious eyes on them, a delicate shade of red tainting her cheeks at the attention the pair were receiving. "stop complaining. people are looking," she whispered, pouting upon the glare he gave her. to others who didn't know hansol well enough, they would think he was a brooding dog, but the witch knew better. the truth was that he had such a weak spot for petting. "just relax, you big puppy. it's been a long night so i'm just helping you out," she cooed eventually, grazing her fingers behind his ear.
no matter what he said, she knew he was a softie when it came to affection like this.
@minnie y。ᵐⁱⁿˣⁿⁱᵉ "why should i apologize? it's that ' fault for being so goddamn weak that he can't take even a single ing punch from me," hansol said, and his cheeks flushed the faintest hint of red when the other linked her arm with his own. he blinked and he shot a glare toward the witch's direction, though it lacked the usual bite he held. it was just too ing obvious that he wouldn't never get angry with the lad — well, he was sure of that, even if the witch hadn't really done anything to make him anger.
and that said something. his patience was as thin as a piece of paper.
the rosy hues in his pale, pale face had darkened at minnie's words. "the you're calling cute?" he hissed. he opened his mouth again to say something again, when the other lifted her hand up to his hair, ruffling it. immediately, he shut up, and his ears twitched. his glare sharpened — but yet again, it lacked any hostility and annoyance from him. "the do you think you're doing?" he'd yell, but he didn't, well not at his usual volume anyway. it was still loud enough to capture the attention of the others. it was quite a hilarious scene: a glaring dog like hansol with someone petting him with the cutest ing smile in the world, and he wasn't doing anything about it.
So uh hey guys. Would it be possible after I'm accepted at the new one to be reaccepted here long enough to transfer over my profile and stuff? If not, it's totally fine.
