He didn’t mind that his question had clearly gone over your head, because you looked so peaceful just walking next to him. It warmed his heart, and he couldn’t help but squeeze your hand a little more, chuckling softly.

@joshua ʳᵃᵇᵇᶦᵗ "I beg to differ, but we'll argue about that another time," he murmured to himself and almost under his breath; a hand clipping on his nape with a rather wide yet timid grin. though, it was true since he hadn't fetched all the answers and keys to her treasure box of thoughts; pyromaniacs on that day tore his remaining family apart; never able to ask her the simple questions any son or daughter would ask at the innocence of sixteen and forward. but he snapped from his own threading mind, breaking into soft laughter, "we could assume so-- I honestly think she just loved any flowers for the fact that they were flowers. bidded them such a sweet good night," which was too true, "my sister once screamed and jumped in my bed, thinking it was the spirit of the garden, carrot, cabbage or some --" he paused as his lips pitched in for a smile of sentiment, fingers ghosting the surface of the leaves, "weirdos, I'm telling ya. weirdos. I was contemplating on strangling her for waking me up."

hoseok's eyes briefly enlarged upon the latter's stammering, only to mutter "cute. so cute," as his shoulders deflated of any tension. there was a few traits he loved and one was passion. he could tell joshua was passionate about flowers, which may or may not have pinched at his heart too hard, causing it to swell and bruise. "I'll love that; thank you, sweets. I think they'll like em-- or at least, I hope so," the afterlife was never a concept he confided in, but part of him held on for the sake of doing the better. his father was always a stern loving warrior, telling his little boy to carry on the legacy; however, he didn't want to go on about his family story; joshua was no therapist. "how are you though? been a slow day?" he hushed with his fingers shoved back in his pockets.

@minghao ˢᵘᶰᵈᵃ ᶜˡᵒᵘᵈᵉᵈ ˡᵉᵒᵖᵃʳᵈ at some point he's stopped actively looking for anything in particular - if it could be considered that he was looking in the first place - and rather turned to enjoying the time alone with you, unknowingly smiling to himself until jostled from his reverie as your voice reaches his ears, head and attention snapping back onto you.

He mused, bumping his shoulder lightly against yours as he tried to find something that you both could enjoy. He was beginning to grow a little stumped until he remembered an earlier conversation.

his own eyes return to roam over their surroundings, smiling to himself at the contrast of the upbeat atmosphere yet serene moment he believes is circling around them, eying some of the food stalls they past by but nothing particularly catching his appetite.

@joohyuk ᵗʰᵒʳᵒᵘᵍʰᵇʳᵉᵈ ʰᵒʳˢᵉ He beams happily back at you, giving your hand a gently squeeze as they swing between the pair. His gaze trails to the many buildings lining the streets, humming thoughtfully to himself.
Maybe let’s walk for a bit and see if anything catches our eye.

@minghao ˢᵘᶰᵈᵃ ᶜˡᵒᵘᵈᵉᵈ ˡᵉᵒᵖᵃʳᵈ his hand tightens around yours as he takes the first steps and leads you down the main street, glancing over to you with an ever present smile and begins to slowly swing our joined hands between us.
is there anywhere you may want to stop off as well? we could get something to eat if you're feeling famished from your little workout.

@hoseok ᵇˡᵃᶜᵏ ᵖᵃⁿᵗʰᵉʳ joshua let out a surprised chuckle when the other recognized him at last, before giving him a beaming smile. "that's okay, i guess i don't have a very…recognizable face." and he immediately felt like he wanted to hit himself in the forehead when the ramblings left his lips. he tilted his head with a thoughtful expression on his features as he stared at the flowers, not realising that the other's gaze was fixated on him. "your mother must have loved them for a reason, if she did have plenty of those in her garden." he mumbled. he turned to the other with a flustered expression at his remark. "th-that's not what i meant! she could've just kept them for their appearance for all we know, and not for the symbolism-" he said, biting his lip.

"well, i do have the gladiolus. it symbolizes strength of character, faithfulness and honor." he says while moving to gesture over to the said flowers. "would you like me to arrange seperate bouquets of each?" he said, looking up at the taller. his thoughts couldn't help but wonder about everything the man had been through, all the trials and tribulations he had to pass to get to where he was now. secretly, joshua admired the man with all his heart, knowing what it took for him to be in the position he is now. but he'd never show that to the other who loved to at every chance he got. not that he didn't back.

@junhui ˢᶰᵒʷ ˡᵉᵒᵖᵃʳᵈ The brewing storm seemed to echo through the darkness Jeongmin helplessly lay in, serving only to magnify the shadow of doom coating his tiny figure. "Sorry?" the tiger scoffed, and Jeongmin swears that he heard him his lips, dripping with ravenous tones. "Man, all of you are just the same. Such. Easy. Prey." This is it. This is how he'll end, in the grasp of a hunter with seemingly a complete disregard for the evolution of self-defense. The cat's snarl merged with the thunder from above, startling Jeongmin, who packed himself up even tighter, the rigid, sharp, scales flaring wide.

"Hello?" a second voice drifted within range, carrying the scent of another feline. Unfamiliar, but with the footfalls it was just enough to place the fact that another big cat had showed up. Of course he would be this down on his luck, he thought to himself, feeling the edges of his plates tremble when another deep growl arose. With his eyes shut, he couldn't see what was going on, he didn't want to, but he dared a quick peek from under his armoured tail to glimpse a streak of dusty white before him. Another hiss slipped out from his mouth as he quickly tucked himself back in, shivering from the extreme proximity to a second possible predator and the growing pain in his abdomen.

"You leave them alone.." It was hard to tell the white cat's intentions in driving away the tiger from hearing alone. Yet Jeongmin, in his waterbed of worry and terror, in an instant assumed he must have been snatching a catch from right under the other's nose. And so he began his prayers, an endless string of apologies and thanks, insulating him from every other sound. If he was going to go, he'd at least want to go with fewer regrets. "I never meant to hurt anyone and I'm sorry I just like being alone sometimes so I become flaky..." his ramble rolled on for several minutes, tears beginning to stain the corner of his eyes. He reached his tiny feet up to his face, trying to wipe the wet streaks away, completely unaware of the absence of the initial attacker. Only when the timbres of the white feline reached him, this time much, much, closer, that he stiffened up. Once again his scales poked out hard in a spiny ball, dead silent in defense.

"No, no please don't," he whimpered after an extended moment of silence, on the verge of plunging down the cliff of paralyzing panic when he sensed eyes boring through his armour, his only protection from the outside world.

@jeongmin ᵖᵃⁿᵍᵒˡᶦⁿ Aimlessly wandering down the pathway to find his way home, Junhui studied his steps cautiously, occasionally staring down at his feet, soon pressing his gaze back upwards and forward to keep him from distractingly wandering into an inanimate object. The silent leopard studied his way back home, taking a different approach, another route to get him back to his place much quicker while the darkening clouds roll in, covering the shimmering moonlight that protected him with at least some kind of light.

A gentle rumble of thunder decorated across the sky, as well as filling his ears with a cautious tone, the rain was soon to come, and if he were to remain dry, he would need to hurry back rather quickly. Though, crossing down this dead street in the wake of the evening, a sound was heard that came from the darkest pit of the alleyway, where no light was shining through enough for the young male to see. It sounded like a rumble, much like the thunder he had heard, and Junhui almost played it off like it was another clap of thunder, but soon the sound changed.

The rumble was like no other, it came fro something else, something near his kind, it came from an animal, almost as if ready to relish in it's next meal. Junhui paused id-way through passing the dark, open hallway, and his golden-ish eyes peered down into the darkness, replicating the faint shadows of what appeared to be a taller being, and a smaller one at best, the smaller one cowarding in defense, like it had appeared to be injured.
"Hello?" Junhui called out, taking a different approach instead of letting the situation slip by his head, and he instead moved closer to what was happening, around this very moment, a clap of lightning brightened the sky for a mere few seconds, and in those few seconds, Junhui was able to witness the full outlines of the two animals before him.

The tiger had just struck the small creature, and in an instinctive tone, Junhui's cautious mood turned into something more protective, and he slowly crawled on all fours, letting his soft, touchable fur stand on end, ears pinned back with a deep, dark growl in defense, moving closer.
"You leave them alone.." He spoke darkly, walking even closer to the larger cat, it's orange and black stripes becoming now faintly visible once Junhui's eyes adjusted to the darkness of the area, and he guarded the small creature while standing behind it, releasing a loud hiss at the tiger himself. The tiger became threatening,asking him in taunting ways like, "Or else what?" or, "What are you gonna do about it, kitty?" Triggering an angering sense in Junhui's mind. Junhui swiped at the tiger, just barely missing him, but he stood his defense in protection of the other creature.
"I won't start a fight with you, but if you don't want the police involved, I suggest you beat it, frosted flakes." Junhui growled in a louder tone, his eyes glowing in the light.

The tiger and Junhui stood at ground for a few minutes, and at last after it seemed like ages, the tiger scoffed, finally letting his guard down, and seeping away down the alleyway further, muttering threatening words under his tone, though the leopard did not care one bit, and once the predator was fled from the alleyway, Junhui had instantly softened. He turned around quickly after relaxing his fur, and he eyed the creature closely, staring down at him with a gentle, worrying gaze, curious of the creature's health.
"Are you, alright?"

@joshua ʳᵃᵇᵇᶦᵗ "jeez, what the . I knew you looked too similar--" he grumbled with widened eyes, lips parting slightly in astonishment, "sorry, morning residue on my eyes. I didn't realize it was you, sweets," he chuckled softly, fingers dousing in his locks. though, in general, he was just mainly surprised for the fact that the latter had worked at a flower shop. to be fair, he never asked, so he could only pull up a wide smile of innocence as his eyes curled along. however, the hazy morning blues washed away, replaces with epinephrine and a heart that threatened to shatter his ribcage to a million shards.

"now that you're telling me all this, I'm not really sure why she would like these-- I never bothered to ask her why, but I knew she knew what they meant," he hushed in bemusement, eyes trailing down to his toes with a corner of his lips quicking up. he glanced up with a sigh, "my mother, I meant. you mean to tell me she was some emo wanna-be that glorified death?" a rhetorical question as best, but he waved it off with another laugh; however, she did get what she wanted if so. "I'll get them then... do you have any other flowers that maybe uh... signified courage or selflessness?" for his father, of course.

@junhui ˢᶰᵒʷ ˡᵉᵒᵖᵃʳᵈ Why? The word blared in his mind, so loud that there might have been sirens screeching into his ears instead. Just two minutes ago he was leaving the library for a short walk, when a gust of ochre dashed him in the side, sending him stumbling away in confusion to the nearest opening. As he settled down, clasping the closest tall object within reach in the alley, he glimpsed the source. A pair of gleaming, golden eyes that belonged to a tiger. The hungry eyes of danger.

Jeongmin's grip on the metal tightened as he peered out, mumbling an apology with his head bowed. He certainly must not have been looking where he walked, he rationalised, so it was definitely his fault that-

His mental ramble was cast over by a rumbling growl that came from the towering figure before him, padding slow, calculated steps towards him. Jeongmin's worst nightmare was coming true. On many days he had spiraled down the endless possibilities of being attacked, yet none of his daily mantras of 'what if's held even a fragment of what to do. And in that moment, he was sent into overdrive, locked in place while all his energy sent into his head in his desperation to think a way out.

It was only when a swipe of silver came across his front that he snapped out of inaction, reeling from the pain that struck him. In an instant he lay on the ground, tucking all his vulnerabilities beneath his plated armour, now a ball of spiked panic. It hurt, but there was nothing else he could do except to pray with his eyes squeezed shut that his armour could protect him from the large cat closing in on him, softly hissing in fear as the air around him began to prickle.

@minho ᵒᵗᵗᵉʳ holds you by your waist as i take a step back, leading you towards the counter where i will play for the set we got, letting you go for a minute to take out my wallet and pull my card out there, handing it to the cashier who is giving us a knowing look. at least that's what i think it is.
