@♦ Jung Yunho Meeting other races had been an eye opening experience for Wooseok. He had observed their unique strengths and abilities but it only served to amplify his struggles with himself. How could he compare when his own existence felt fractured, and uncertain? Still, there was something oddly comforting in Yunho's words.

Wooseok's lips curved into a faint smile as he responded, appreciating Yunho’s concern. “Well, I’ve met some kind people along the way, and my master is definitely one of the kindest. But…” He hesitated before continuing, “I wouldn’t dare to say they’re my friends. It’s hard to know if someone’s just being kind or if they really see me as… someone worth befriending.” He spoke honestly. Shrugging, he glanced down at the empty glass in his hand. “I guess I don’t want to assume something that might not be true. Friends…” He trailed off, the word unfamiliar in a way that made him wonder if he’d ever truly experienced it before.

As Yunho spoke again, Wooseok couldn’t help but chuckle softly, his optics flickering briefly at the sound of the nickname. “Seokie?” he echoed, his tone surprised and amused. A faint smile spread across his face as he tilted his head. “I suppose that’s me, isn’t it? No one’s called me that before.” He looked back at Yunho, the warmth of the moment settling into something strangely comfortable. “Well, if drinking is what you want to do, I can drink as much as you want me to.” He nodded toward the glasses, already two deep without a hint of intoxication showing. “Though, I’m afraid I might not be the best drinking partner. I don’t… feel much from these, you know?” There was a playful glint in his eyes now, a rare lightness in his demeanor. It wasn’t much, but in Yunho’s company, Wooseok felt just a little less like a machine and a little more like someone who belonged.

@♅ Shin ¥ Sen had always been drawn to the kind of individuals who carried an air of mystery about them, and the stranger radiated it effortlessly. Even as the man’s somewhat forced smile hinted at a preference for solitude, Sen couldn't help but feel an odd sense of fascination. Perhaps it was the way he nonchalantly spoke of being as old as creation itself. Whatever it was, Sen was already hooked.

"I do apologize for the commotion earlier." Sen began with sincerity. His habit of getting involved in situations he shouldn't be in is admittedly a flaw he’d yet to work on. However, he wasn’t one to let an opportunity for an interesting encounter slip away. The man, clearly intent on enjoying his meal without further interruptions, still gave no indication of discouragement when Sen motioned for the barkeep. “I’ll have what he’s having.” Sen said cheerfully, his curiosity now fully piqued. He turned back to the stranger. "Old as creation itself, huh?" he murmured, almost to himself. After all, It wasn’t often you stumbled upon someone willing to make such a bold claim. Whether it was a bluff, a jest, or a hidden truth, Sen knew he’d stick around long enough to find out.

When the barkeep returned with his food, Sen thanked him with a nod and eagerly dove into the plate, realizing he’d been hungrier than he thought. Between dodging angry mobs and chasing leads, he’d hardly had a moment to stop and eat. His first bite was blissful, and for a brief moment, the hum of satisfaction he let out matched the stranger's earlier quiet contentment. "I'm Sen, by the way." he said after swallowing, his tone softer now. "What’s your name, Mr.?" He smiled, genuinely curious but careful not to push too hard.

@〄 Byun Wooseok ¥✔ “Yeah we are unexpected creatures too, I guess…” He chuckled softly, it was the first time he was thinking about it. After all, being there with angels, demons, and more magical creatures really made him feel not unique at all. He learned all his magic powers but the other creatures burned with amazing abilities like flying and entering into dreams easily, or shooting fire from their mouths. To hear the other chuckling made him smile himself, it was nice. The cyborg was unique in his eyes even when he seemed not to feel special at all.

To hear he was alone in this world made him feel sad, to lose someone important was too hard so to have no one must feel terrible. “I’m sorry to hear that Wooseok… but I hope you have new friends?” he asked with curiosity and quite worry. Not wanting the other to feel lonely even when he barely knew him.

The warlock was smiling widely again when the cyborg seemed to really enjoy his little tricks. “Glad you like it!” He said with a bright smile over his face. “Indeed, please don’t refuse.” He chuckled softly and was glad to see him taking the glass, lifting it up as well before he was drinking the tequila, humming softly at the warm feeling of the alcohol. “It feels nice… drinking with you, Seokie…” He said to him honestly, giving him that nickname without thinking much about it.

@♦ Sen Mitsuji Shin had just sat down with a nice warm meal and some free time when the door was slammed open. Following the man with his eyes, he let out a sigh. Just what he needed… Someone ruining his precious moments of free time. He didn’t react just quietly put down his spoon decisively. After all, if someone was hiding there was always someone following to search. So in order not to be disturbed by this ruckus again he was just waiting for the scene to play out before continuing with his food. And… he was right as a group of men crashed through the door asking for the one who just went into hiding.

Shin didn’t care much for things like this but he did value his time and his quiet so when he knew that there would be a big commotion happening soon he tried his best to avoid it. Best way to do that. Sent the loudest guys somewhere else and since the man in the barrel hadn’t been all that loud while the burly guy with the red beard had been growling and huffing the moment he had come in. Catching the big guy's eyes he discreetly pointed towards one of the side doors of the tavern the one that led to the small ally beside the tavern and then deeper into the labyrinth of the city once someone managed to slip away in that direction they would be impossible to find. Lucky for Shin it seemed like the burly man took his hint and ran with it leaving soon after arriving.

And finally, peace was returned to his meal well at least for a few moments before someone appeared on the seat next to him. Just humming along in reply he didn’t pay much attention. He wasn’t rude so he didn’t just ignore the man but there was also no point in giving a serious reply not while he was just talking without even bothering to wait for a reply. Taking a deep breath and letting it out solely Shin turned his attention back to his food. He didn’t have a lot of time to indulge in such luxury after all food was mostly substant to keep you from fading and running out of energy anything quickly eaten most times cold was the perfect solution. But once in a while a warm meal eaten while sitting down with nothing else on one’s mind was the perfect indulgence.

Finally, some quiet when the man next to him started scribbling in his journal… Only to once again be interrupted. “Right now I am very much trying to enjoy some peace and quiet to eat a warm meal. After all, it is a luxury I’m not often able to enjoy. Normally I would sell my time to you however seeing your enthusiasm… How about joining me for a meal?” He asked the stranger with a slightly forced but also slightly genuine smile. “This way you can ask your questions while I can enjoy my food. I’m sure you will find some interesting tales in my story after all I am about as old a creation itself.” Shin smiled softly this time it was truly genuine. And with that, he left the other to his decision finally getting to enjoy the first few bits of food.

@♦ Jung Yunho "True..." Wooseok echoed as he considered the notion of dragons being magical. "But humans are just as magical in their own way. They can do unimaginable things when faced with adversity, don’t you think?" There was a quiet admiration in his tone. After all, humans' resilience and ingenuity were qualities that should be respected. The praise from Yunho made Wooseok shake his head slightly, though he couldn’t help the faint trace of warmth in his usually serious demeanor. "Well, I have my enhancements to thank for that." he replied with a low chuckle, the sound more genuine than mechanical. His expression softened, mirroring the brightness in the other's smile.

As Yunho asked about his past his gaze dropped momentarily before he responded a bit quietly. "Unfortunately, anyone I knew or who knew me has probably... passed away by now." The words were deliberate, almost as if he needed to hear them himself. He’d long suspected that uncovering his past was futile, but saying it aloud added an unexpected finality.

The sudden display of Yunho’s magical skill caught Wooseok’s attention, his optics adjusting and focusing intently. The fluid movements of the floating glass and bottle fascinated him. "That’s... neat." he remarked, his tone unusually casual, as if Yunho’s presence made him feel more at ease. And when the glass of tequila landed before him, Wooseok looked at it curiously. He nodded at Yunho’s offer, his lips curving into a small smile. "It would be rude to refuse, wouldn’t it?" he replied, lifting the glass carefully. Though he wasn’t sure what tequila was, he trusted Yunho enough to try. "Cheers." he added softly, slightly lifting up the glass towards the other .

Vampire?” He asked after a moment of thought, after all he needed to know Jaejoong wouldn’t cause any trouble. It surprised him how much the other seemed eager to start right now, nodding slowly he gave him a towel and a spray. “Go ahead then-” He said gently to him.

His looks can easily earns him money but he's not the type who could settle with just one job. He requires a variety of environment so it's not mundane, "I'm thirty-eight years old, single, a dragon and I have vast work experience. I've served tables before so you don't have to worry," he smile, wondering what else the other should know about him. “Jung Yunho- I’m the house steward,” the tall human looked at him with curiosity as the stunning guy didn’t look like the type to work at all but he sure could bring many clients. “You are very beautiful, it could bring even more clients, did you work as a bartender before?” He asked him, going to the side with him as he let the other employees take care of the guests for a while when he wanted to get to know the other before letting him work there.

A bright smile appeared all over his face when Wooseok said he meant those words. “Still, this is very kind of you… So thank you.” He said gently as he was cleaning the bar just a little bit.

The cyborg seemed so serious, he wondered if he could also have fun. “You were a human? So you don’t know what happened? Have you ever had anyone to ask about your past?” His eyes were soft and curious when he looked at the other. He was looking at him gently. “Me? I can do many little cute tricks… but also very large and meaningful spells and skills.” He looked at him as he was making the glass flow in the air next to them, the bottle was purring drinks to the two tiny glasses without him touching a thing before they landed on the bar next to Wooseok. “Here is some tequila, you can drink with me.” He offered him with a soft smile, liking him for some reason.

From afar, the noise coming from the establishment can be heard. The Brass Kraken is a popular spot to unwind after a long day so it's no surprise it's a full house almost every night.

The door swings open, revealing a man in a white long sleeves shirt with a dark brown button up vest, and a pair of matching pants. @♦ Taylor Zakhar Perez "Just a little?" Wooseok asked with genuine curiosity, his tone reflecting his literal interpretation of the warlock's modest remark. When Taylor called him "magical" Wooseok tilted his head slightly, the idea clearly not agreeing with him. "I'm more mechanical than magical." he corrected gently, his gaze shifting briefly to his mechanical arm as he placed it carefully back on the counter. "Without these enhancements, I'm nothing." he added with blunt honesty, his words carrying a weight that suggested he truly believed it. Despite his statement, his smile remained faint but sincere. "And no need to thank me. I'm simply stating the truth." he replied, referring to his earlier compliment about the other's smile.

When Taylor leaned in with his question, Wooseok's expression shifted, becoming more serious. "What is there to say?" he murmured, his optics flickering subtly as though processing the inquiry. "I was once a human." he continued, his voice tinged with an undertone of uncertainty. "And now I'm a cyborg, but I don’t really recall why or how I came to be." He paused, his gaze meeting the male's with some sort of vulnerability, shrugging a bit like he had nothing more to say about himself. "And what about you?" he asked in return. Deep down, he hoped the other had far more intriguing things to share than he did.

The smile never left his face when he was holding his hand. “Pleasure to meet you, Wooseok.” He said with his soft voice, but when hearing him out he chuckled and smiled even brighter. “Is that so? Thank you so much, kind sir.” The warlock said with a polite voice as well, it was nice to know the other liked his smile. His eyes were staring at him with much interest. “What more can you tell me about yourself except your name?” He was leaning a bit against the table, wanting to have a closer look at him. @♅ Shin ¥ The tavern door slammed open, drawing the attention of almost everyone inside. A man in a worn traveler’s coat burst through with an ever mischievous grin plastered across his face. “Good evening, fine folks!” he declared, tipping an imaginary hat. His voice was smooth and cheerful, almost too much so for someone clearly in a hurry. Without waiting for a response, he darted toward the far corner, eyes scanning for a suitable hiding spot. Spotting a sturdy barrel stacked beside the bar, he crouched behind it just as the door flew open again. This time, three burly men entered, their eyes blazing with fury. One of them, a mountain of a man with a red beard, stomped toward the bar.

“We’re looking for a scrawny man with a big mouth.” the man growled, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword. “With an attitude that makes you want to strangle him.” He added. The bartender, a seasoned man who had seen far worse, shrugged and kept polishing a glass. “Ain’t seen anyone like that.” he said with indifference. The leader cursed under his breath, glancing around the room. “If you see him, tell him to stay far away from married women unless he wants to meet my fists up close.” With a final glare, the group stomped out, slamming the door behind them.

A moment of silence followed before the barrel moved, and the man behind it emerged, brushing off his coat as if nothing had happened. “Well, that was thrilling.” he said with a chuckle, running a hand through his hair. His grin widened as he turned to the nearest patron, a stranger seated at the bar. “Funny how these things always work out." he mused, sliding onto the empty stool beside them. “Makes me want a drink. Care to join me?” But without waiting for a reply, he waved down the bartender. “Something strong and adventurous, if you please!” he ordered cheerfully before pulling out a leather bound journal. Flipping it open, he began scribbling notes, his pen dancing across the page with ease.

“Just another day in the life of Sen Mitusji..” he murmured to himself with a wry smile, conveniently omitting the part where his charm had almost gotten him killed again. “And what about you, stranger? Any interesting tales worth sharing?” he asked, glancing at the person beside him with a spark of genuine curiosity.

@♦ Taylor Zakhar Perez "A warlock?" Wooseok echoed, his tone even, though a faint glimmer of intrigue flickered in his optics. His internal system quickly began cross referencing all available data on warlocks, pulling up fragments of information about their magical abilities, diverse origins, and the curious tendency for their powers to intertwine with their personalities. "I'm sure you are interesting indeed." he added, a small smile tugging at his lips. Accepting the glass, Wooseok studied it meticulously, tilting it slightly to observe the way the liquid moved. Bringing it to his face, he gave it a careful sniff, analyzing the composition with his sensors before taking a more than usual amount of sip. The drink slid down smoothly, and while there was no physical reaction from him, his systems logged the sensation, noting its warmth and faintly complex taste.

"Taylor." Wooseok repeated, nodding lightly, committing the name to memory. "Nice meeting you." he said politely. Setting the glass down with care, he turned his full attention back to the other. "I'm Wooseok." he offered in return, holding out his hand in a gesture he had learned to signify mutual respect and introduction among humans and other sentient beings. "Did you know you have a lovely smile?" Wooseok then remarked suddenly, his tone calm but genuine as his gaze lingered on Taylor's radiant expression. He had noticed the warmth in the other's smile from the beginning and somehow, that welcoming smile had a put him at ease.

@〄 Byun Wooseok ¥ Taylor was still smiling widely, it was amazing for him to meet different creatures, he never felt intimidated even if he met someone more powerful from him. Thinking he could learn a lot from everyone, and he was pretty good with getting along with just anyone. “We are?” He asked and chuckled a bit, he himself was a warlock so he wasn’t just a simple human. “Well I am a warlock so… I think I can surprise other creatures!” He winked at him sweetly. He was so curious about the other infront of him.

When the other chooses his drink he claps his hands together. “This is a great choice!” He said and simply poured the drink from the large bottle, giving the fancy glass to the cyborg in front of him. “Enjoy! @♦ Taylor Zakhar Perez The other’s reaction to discovering what he was didn’t surprise Wooseok, but he found himself oddly relieved at the warlock’s positive fascination. Too often, those who expressed interest in him did so with ulterior motives. But this man’s excitement seemed genuine and harmless, a refreshing change from what he was used to. Wooseok offered a small nod, acknowledging the other's words. “Humans are still much more marvelous, no?” he replied softly, a hint of thoughtfulness in his tone. Despite his mechanical enhancements, Wooseok often felt that without them, he was little more than a collection of wires and programming. Humans, with all their flaws and strengths, were something far more remarkable to him.

Shifting his focus back to the drink options, Wooseok let out a low hum, contemplating the choices the male had presented. The descriptions of the drinks were intriguing, but one in particular caught his attention. His optics flickered faintly as he tilted his head. “Perhaps Whiskey?” he said after a moment. He wondered if the drink would affect him at all, given his mechanical nature, but the idea of trying it sparked a quiet sense of intrigue in him.

@〄 Byun Wooseok ¥ Taylor was always very kind but when he was at his job he was even extra nice. It still was quite amazing to meet many creatures he didn’t just have a chance to meet where he grew up. After all he grew up between humans even when he was a great warlock he was still a human being. He was thinking hard of what he would recommend. “It depends on your taste! If you like sweets I can give you some fruit cocktail, if you want simple you can have a glass of beer! But you can always drink some champagne~ if you want something harder for your soul I would go with Whiskey. “ His eyes were sparkling but for recommendation he really needed to know what the other liked.

His eyes were wide and surprised to see the other was a cyborg. He looked at his face with the same smile now. “Wow- this is fascinating!” He said quite excited, after all he was the first cyborg he ever saw. “I’m just a boring human, well not that boring, A warlock.. @♦ Taylor Zakhar Perez [] Thank you ^^

Wooseok paused at the bar, the soft clinking of glass and the faint hum of conversation around him forming a backdrop to the barkeeper’s warm welcome. The smile directed at him was genuine, kind, but the words that followed caused a slight hitch in his thoughts. Handsome? It wasn’t something he was accustomed to hearing, and for a moment, he simply stared, his systems sorting through how best to respond. “What would you recommend?” he asked, his voice calm but tinged with a faint hesitation. It had been so long even decades since he’d tasted anything at all. The memory of drinking something, of savoring a flavor, felt distant, almost like it belonged to another person entirely. It only seemed logical to defer to the expert before him.

As the barkeeper’s curious gaze lingered on him, Wooseok decided to meet the unspoken question halfway. Slowly, deliberately, he reached up and pulled back the hood of his coat, revealing the upper quarter of his face. His mechanical optic glowed faintly, a sharp contrast to the more natural lines of his lower features. The faint whir of servos accompanied the movement as his exposed eye adjusted to the lighting, focusing briefly on the barkeeper before scanning the bar’s interior once more. “This is what I am.” he said quietly, his tone neutral but with a tinge of resignation perhaps. Wooseok knew his appearance often raised questions, but he’d learned that it was better to reveal himself outright than to let curiosity fester. His human eye shifted back to the barkeeper, gauging his reaction.

The pub door creaked open, letting in a burst of cold air that swirled around the quiet establishment. Wooseok stepped inside, his metallic form catching the dim, golden light that spilled from the hanging fixtures above. The warmth of the room contrasted sharply with the icy chill outside, but Wooseok paid no mind to the temperature. It wasn’t discomfort he sought to escape, but the quiet solitude of his own existence.

He scanned the space with methodical precision, his glowing optics taking in the empty chairs and worn wooden tables. The faint hum of his servos accompanied his movements as he made his way toward the bar. The bartender, a man whose smile seemed effortlessly warm caught his attention. There was something human about the way the man moved, the way his eyes sparkled as he cleaned glasses and hummed to himself.

Wooseok’s metallic hand rested lightly on the edge of the counter as he sat down, the stool creaking faintly beneath his weight. "One drink." he said, his voice a blend of mechanical resonance and faint humanity. It was a request, but also a test. Could he still partake in the simple rituals of the living? Could he feel anything from it?

The bar was a little far from his home but still it was a decant job. After getting in he was cleaning some glasses while humming to himself. Even when he was a great warlock it was fun playing with drinks and giving them to the costumers. He was always smiling to anyone who came to sit near the bar, offering them a drink as he gave them a little show. using his charms of course to make them give him some tips. He was waiting for clients to get in there cause it was quiet today, maybe the cold weather outside made people avoid getting out. The pub was still closed when Tom and his boys decided to quench their thirst fill their rumbling bellies. A heavy bag of coins was tossed at the owner, an apology for making him served them early in the morning. It was their first time at the establishment hence it was the owner's first time seeing them as well.

"Welcome gentlemen," the man in his forties greeted with a smile, "I haven't seen you boys around. Judging from your outfits you look like, sailors."

Tom smiled, thumb brushing over the tip of his wooden cane. Not that he had trouble walking. He could walk just fine. He required one just so he could knock buffoons into better men, "pirates, my friend," he corrected, easing into his chair with a leg over the other, liking the decor of the place even though he couldn't see much of it properly since it was quite dark. They did stumble a few times while settling down. The only source of light were two oil lamps on the bar counter.

"Forgive me. Let me switch the lights on-"

"No need. Save your electricity," Tom waved his hand in dismissal, "we're actually training ourselves to see in the dark, aren't we lads?"

"Aye." They answered in unison.

"It would surely come in handy someday. You'll never know, right? You'll never know when life starts to become a crossed woman and throws you into a pitch black dungeon," The captain's hand was flailing about as he continued, "nobody likes a pitch black dungeon... Unless it's the ones, yeah?"

"Aye."

Confused, the owner decided to acknowledge Tom with a nod, "well you must be the captain then, Mr.?"

"You can call me Ellie. But only if you're partial to being flayed alive and having an angry pirate skip rope with your entrails. If not then, call me Tom Hardy." Tipping his head, Tom smiled at the now horrified man, then proceeded to reassure him in a soft gentle voice, "don't worry, we're not savages - well, sometimes we are but most times, we're not. Only if we're pissed to the brim and have our brains poke with sausages, "he guffed, "anyway mister, please get us some food and drinks. Thank you."

The man scurried into the kitchen, fetching them whatever food he had left in the pantry, hoping it would be enough. There were bread, cheese, some fruits, tomato and mushroom soups enough to satiate their hunger. In the dark, the pirates were struggling to eat their meal. Tom had to find the bowl of the spoon with his tongue each time. But it was nothing they couldn't manage. They cleaned everything up and stayed for a little longer. It was still too early to have their brains make poor judgements so they opted for root beers.

She continued treating his wound before leaving the man to sleep in peace.

@† Sandara Park {H} "Ayya!" I yelp slightly, rubbing the sore, newly formed bruise on my arm. "Eh, is that how you vamps say thank you in your country? I imagine a bit more gratitude and appreciation for sticking my neck out on the line would result in a free pint inside next." My face sours, looking over at you." I took a moment to see that the only occupants in here were you, me, and your staff remaining. "There was no danger. I'm offended you think me, the great skyborne pirate captain Kwon Jiyong would have the accuracy of some wet-behind-the-ears pup Lass." I puff out my chest, displaying a proud expression of my marksmanship. "Have a little faith. Thanks to me, you're safe, your workers are safe, and your place of business is well intact." I took a moment to examine myself, ensuring all of me was intact. "And I'm doing well; you're traumatized customer. But thanks for asking." I say, shrugging my shoulders to give you a peeved look. "I wonder what would happen, Lass, if the word got out to the Central Circuit that an innocent customer was put in harm's way on their way home from your establishment. What then, my dear vamp, would you do, eh?"

@☾ Kwon Jiyong Thousands of thoughts runs in my head. One of them is glad that everyone inside the pub is safe as I saw my employees sighing in relief. I bite my lip concluding you have a brass attitude like a knight in shining armour yet so proud of almost escalating the situation. “Lass?” Eyes wide in disbelief. A solid punch landed on your arm. “Idiot. You could’ve put everyone in here in danger. We could’ve resolved it without pulling your gun.”

In Effect as of 12/20/24

We appreciate your application to the Ivory of the Mist community.

Until further notice, we are currently not accepting any more Demons, Wolves, Kistune, Hybrids, or Shapeshifters due to the imbalance of races. We are currently seeking Angels, Dragons, Ghouls, Merfolk, Fairies, Humans/mage, Vampire and Cyborgs. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Once the population in the 13 Kingdoms is balanced, we encourage you to reapply for your desired race.

Kind regards, Prince Hendery
