@felix l。ˢᵖʳᵉᵃᵈᵐʸʷᶦⁿᵍˢ [ you don't have to reply to this if you don't want! this can be the ending. :> ]
chanyeol instinctively leaned into felix's touch, the warmth coming from his palm spreading throughout his entire body. sure, maybe they both /had/ known the answer, but hearing it out in the open, coming from the angel's lips made chanyeol's heart flutter in his chest. he couldn't stop smiling; he just couldn't. not when he untied the ring from the kitten's collar. not when he slid the little piece of jewelry onto felix's finger. not when he held his fiance's face and kissed him so softly. "you're my everything, little dove. you're my everything and then so, so much more." chanyeol murmured against those two soft pillows, kissing them one, two, three more times before pulling away far enough to be able to look at felix properly. their tiny kitten mewed happily from his spot on felix's lap. "now that we got the cheesy part of the date over with, how'd you feel about taking a little splash?" he asked with a devilish grin, mischief filling his bright orbs.
@chanyeol p。ʳᵉᵃˡ―ᵖᶜʸ As Chanyeol got up from the chair and bent down beside him, Felix could definitely feel the tears starting to tip over. He stayed silent while staring into his lover's eyes as tears slowly rolled down his freckled cheeks. This man right here was everything to him, and that much the little angel always made known. To him, Chanyeol was his whole world. He revolved around that man. He poured every ounce of love into that man. Chanyeol was his first kiss, his first boyfriend, his first time, his first date, his first for every single thing that Felix ever experienced. And the more time he spent on earth, the more movies he saw where the girl had a dream proposal, and the more he figured moments like those only really appeared magical in films. Now, however, with the love of his life bent to a knee in front of him, a kitten in his arms, a ring attached to a collar, a proclamation of love and a question hanging in the air. The answer comes easy. "I think we both have always known the answer," the angel teased lightheartedly before squeezing his hand hand, turning in the chair to properly face him. "A thousand life-times and the answer will never change, Park Chanyeol..." Gently dropping the kitten into his lap, Felix uses his free hand to cup Chanyeol's cheek and gently caressing with the pad of his thumb. "I love you more than anything... /Yes/, I will marry you."
@felix l。ˢᵖʳᵉᵃᵈᵐʸʷᶦⁿᵍˢ as much satisfaction, as much joy as chanyeol received from seeing his lover holding that kitten so tenderly, him saying 'yes' to the question he was about to pop would bring him happiness beyond belief. "her collar," he repeated, nerves becoming more and more evident with every word he spoke. although, the question felix threw back at him hit him like a ton of bricks. /was/ he sure? two heartbreaks left him depressed, hopeless, and hurt. he honestly didn't think he'd be able to even entertain another relationship, let alone another engagement. but felix...felix made him feel whole. his wolf knew, he knew that felix was the one. felix was his /mate/. "yes," chanyeol replied with utmost confidence. "yes, i'm one hundred percent sure about this." and, just to show how serious he was about his decision, he pushed himself up from his chair, only to drop down next to felix's on one knee. taking the angel's hand in both of his own, he peered up at him, a small, but genuine smile on his lips. "lee felix, will you make me the happiest man on earth, in this life and the next? will you marry me?" chanyeol whispered softly, fingers squeezing felix's between them. "you're everything i could ever want, and you complete me in ways that i didn't think were even possible. i love you, my little dove."
@chanyeol p。ʳᵉᵃˡ―ᵖᶜʸ The ever-lasting banter between the pair caused Felix's head to tilt back while he let out a fit of wheezing laughter, enjoying this way too much -- and it was clear who had taken the upper hand this time. After a moment, he was able to calm down to continue cooing over the tiny kitten, who seemed content despite a little confused as it sat comfortably in his palms. Felix couldn't help but lean forward to press a quick smooch to the top of its head before looking up, blinking over at his lover. "Oh-- her collar?" He carefully moved the collar around before finally spotting something that was originally taken as a tag, seeing how it glinted and shined. Then, after a closer look... that was no tag. Felix's blue eyes slowly widened as he realized that it was a ring, and from the looks of it, it was no ordinary ring. It took him a few seconds to finally piece things together and when he did, his eyes quickly became misty as they snapped up to stare across the table. He now knew what this was, and for the first few moments, it was like he forgot how to function. "Are you sure..?" Felix asked breathlessly, looking between Chanyeol's eyes. He knew the other had been through much with his previous relationships and he knew that the idea of another engagement was going to require some time, some trust, some faith, and a little bit of everything else. So Felix waited. He provided, he cared, he tended, and he waited. And now that it's /actually/ happening... he can't quite believe it -- it feels so surreal.
@felix l。ˢᵖʳᵉᵃᵈᵐʸʷᶦⁿᵍˢ "there's nothing wrong with that, no. just be prepared to have appreciation for you showing your appreciation for being appreciated." chanyeol shot right back, a smug smirk on his face. no way in hell would the wolf allow his boyfriend to have the last laugh with this. felix did so much for him and hardly ever asked for anything in return. the complete one-eighty turn of felix's emotions had chanyeol holding back a loud laugh. one minute, they were discussing who was more dirty-minded than the other, and then the next...felix was cooing and snuggling with their new kitten. his boyfriend's reaction was expected; chanyeol knew the little angel loved and treasured every single creature on this planet. sure, they had pets together, but this would be their first one /together/. the thought made him all giddy inside. the giddiness didn't last, however, since those dang nerves from just moments earlier had come right back and were making his palms all sweaty. "uh, well, i remembered one of my buddies telling me that their cat had recently had a litter of kittens and that he and his wife were trying to find homes for them. after our conversation earlier, it gave me the idea to run to his place and take one home for us. this little girl was the runt. isn't she precious?" he whispered, watching the interaction with a fond gaze. "but, um- hey, lixie, what's that on her collar?" honestly, he didn't know where he'd conjured up the spot to tie the engagement ring onto. but to him, he'd wanted the proposal to be unique as possible, so hey, why not have your new baby kitten carry it for you?
@chanyeol p。ʳᵉᵃˡ―ᵖᶜʸ "Alright, then consider it a bet!" Felix chirped cheekily before sticking his tongue out. He had no doubt that Chanyeol had it in him, and that perhaps it just needed a little nurturing before it'd finally come out. Everyone was romantic in their own unique way so the little angel hoped his lover wouldn't feel the need to follow along to any sort of expectations, that he could just feel freely and go in any direction he pleased without having any pressure on his shoulders. Felix /loved/ him and he loved being able to watch Chanyeol be himself, both at home and when they're running through the woods and in moments where only he got to see. "And I want to show my appreciation for being appreciated, is that so bad?" Nothing but love and adoration gleamed in his blue eyes as they peered up at him, cheeks flushing in response to the kiss and head ducking a little while a grin plastered itself on his face. "I will proudly claim the title of being the ed on in the relationship," the angel giggled as he settled into his chair, head lifting up. "However, if you said you didn't love every second of it I'd--" Suddenly, there was a kitten in his face. Felix blinked once then twice before his entire face lit up, gasping in pure delight as he tenderly took the tiny feline from his lover's hands, scooping it up in his smaller palms and holding it close. "Hello! Oh my gosh, you're such a cute little thing!" The excitement was evident in the way his smile took over his face, cheeks bunching up and eyes happily crinkling around the edges as the kitten sniffed the tip of his nose. "Where'd you find this little fluff ball, babe? Goodness, you're so cute-- what a cute little face!"
@felix l。ˢᵖʳᵉᵃᵈᵐʸʷᶦⁿᵍˢ "you think so? because i'd bet you one hundred dollars that i don't." the wolf challenged, a mischievous glint in his golden orbs. okay, maybe he really wouldn't go through with this bet. after all, being with felix changed him so much that perhaps he really did have more romance inside of him than he originally thought. these gestures were becoming easier and easier for him, anyway. "i know you would, my love. but sometimes you deserve to be pampered and spoiled and just...celebrated for the sweet little cutie that you are. i want to make sure you feel appreciated. because what kind of boyfriend would i be if i didn't make that happen?" after nudging felix's chair forward a bit, he pressed a kiss atop the angel's head before circling around the table to his own seat. "y'know, people must think i'm the dirty-minded one in this relationship, but little do they know that it's actually you, tsk." chanyeol cackled, then glanced down at the small box sitting near his feet. the tiniest of meows could be heard coming from inside the hole-filled box as if reminding him like 'hey, i'm in here! don't forget about me!' smiling to himself, he carefully took the lid off, clasped his hands around the tiny black and white kitten, and lifted it up onto the table before placing the feline in front of felix. "say hi!"
@chanyeol p。ʳᵉᵃˡ―ᵖᶜʸ ( god i ing wiiiiiiiiiiiiiish ;;;;; it'd be like a dream c ome true )
"Hey now, I'm sure you have /some/ romantic bones in that body of yours!" Felix is giggling as he's tugged into the tight embrace, easily and quickly melting into it as his own arms lift to return the hug just as tight. He's doing his best to hold the tears in to avoid looking like a baby but -- this was just too beautiful and thoughtful, and perhaps crying a little wouldn't hurt; maybe it'd further show his appreciation. Sniffling softly, the angel presses a quick kiss to his cheek before pulling his head back, lifting a hand to smooth Chanyeol's fringe back with a loving gaze. "And I'd do all of that and more for you, babe. I'd face down a god for you if i need to." Felix watches his expression change to something more playful and gives him a look, ready to start running any second now. However, when Chanyeol seems to change his mind on it (for now, at least), the angel lets it go with a pouty glare before easing down into the chair with a soft 'thank you.' "Always looking for a chance to get me wet, huh? Typical."
@felix l。ˢᵖʳᵉᵃᵈᵐʸʷᶦⁿᵍˢ [ right? someone take me on a date there, grrr. ]
chanyeol's grin nearly split his face in two once he noticed the awestruck look on the angel's face. "i did, yes. not bad for a guy who's got no romantic bones in his body, huh?" he teased, allowing the other to take in the view for a few breaths more before drawing him into his arms for a tight, warm hug. "you always do so much for me, whether it's cooking or cleaning or just...sitting and listening to me rant about my day at work, so i figured this was the least i could do as a thank you." he honestly didn't want to think about where he'd be if it hadn't been for felix's presence in his life. the little angel had saved him in more ways than one. "oh...?" a brow quirked up as he drew back far enough to be able to look the other in the eye. "y'know, i hadn't been thinking about tossing you in-" he paused. "but now..." after letting out a loud laugh, he released his boyfriend and carefully guided him to one of the chairs before pulling it out for him to sit down. "kidding, i wouldn't do that to you. at least, not right now."
@chanyeol p。ʳᵉᵃˡ―ᵖᶜʸ ( s obs it's so pretty T ^ T )
After finally getting all of the debris off of him, Felix turns off the flashlight on his phone then pockets it. "Alright, I'm coming!" He calls out in response, not having looked up just yet but when he does a second later, his eyes fly open and his jaw drops. The angel stutters a little in his step as he takes it all in, studying the precisely placed candles stretching along the small deck leading to a table that was clearly meant for two. Felix's eyes water a little as he makes his way over to Chanyeol, still gazing at everything he had taken the time to set up. "B-Babe... this is so beautiful-- you really put all of this together?" It's almost mind-blowing, the reality of someone doing something like this for him when he hadn't expected it at all. There's a cute little flush appearing on his cheeks despite the tears in his eyes and a smile adorning his features when he turns to face his lover, his mate, his /whole/ ing world. "If you throw me into the water, it's game on. Just saying--"
@felix l。ˢᵖʳᵉᵃᵈᵐʸʷᶦⁿᵍˢ there were a thousand and one ways to mess this up, and chanyeol had nearly half of them on his mind. hell, the police academy hadn't even been this damn stressful. but, he supposed when he wanted something to be absolutely perfect for the one he loved...his best friend, his boyfriend, his mate...then nerves felt inevitable. despite already having the perfect setup planned, a comment he made earlier in the chatroom changed the presentation ever so slightly. the wolf worked quickly, arranging the table and chairs and candles and lights just as he'd envisioned them. he hadn't even realized how much time had passed, however, until he smelled an all too familiar scent, followed by an equally as recognizable voice. "felix? i'm over here!" chanyeol called while putting the final touches on the appearance of his masterpiece. proudly, he stood back to admire his work before turning and facing the direction of felix's voice to greet him.
@chanyeol p。ʳᵉᵃˡ―ᵖᶜʸ Slipping on his shoes and making sure the house was secure before closing the door behind him, Felix trudges down the steps and heads off into the woods in the direction of the lake. There was a shortcut that ran from their backyard towards the area, making the trek there much shorter than it would be by car. The angel ducks below low branches and tries his best not to trip over anything but that's a lot easier said than done. resorting to the flashlight on his phone to make sure he could see where he's going; so focused on the path his two feet are on that he doesn't quite notice anything ahead of around him. Felix steps out of the tree line with a huff, brushing off the pine needles with a pout. "Why do I always manage to get tangled up somehow?"
@christopher b。ᵐᵒᵒⁿˢʰⁱⁿᵉ [] ioweroawerawer I wasn't even aware I hadn't replied to the other thread we have--- ihm >n<
San was watching the other, a hint of curiosity floating in his gaze. He'd had his lantern for so long and was just thankful that it had never broken on him before. He was sure it was something he stole once upon a time from his captors but it had become something of a treasure to him over the years, especially considering he never had traveled with much, if anything at all. He was thankful for Christopher even offering to assist him. Although San preferred the cold, he could only handle the cold to a certain degree in his human form and he tended to opt for his human form more often since it drew less attention. Occasionally, he would allow himself to shift into his half-form to give relief to the side he was hiding but he hadn't lately because of all the trips to the market. He didn't want to scare anyone away. There were a lot of different species roaming around, from what he knew, but they didn't seem to be any that would draw as much attention as him.
He looked curiously down at the bag before going through it, slight confusion layering his features as he looked through it. "Thank you," the dragon uttered quietly, the sound seemingly a bit broken, less fluid. He was still getting used to talking. even when he went to the market, they'd gotten to a point where he didn't have to talk too much because it was just routine. "No..." he paused trying to find the right words, "Nowhere... else to go. Lake is like home." Christopher was right. In human form, it was difficult living like he was, and, considering he wasn't confrontational, he'd just had to move a couple of times to stay out of the way of travelers and animals. Not to mention, he moved when he could out the fear he'd be considered a threat to others. "Not easy," he ended up adding before shaking his head slowly, features riddled with confusion at his own mistake. The timing of what he'd said had come just after Christopher's comment.
"Thank you for help," San offered a smile, "Hungry? I can cook for you with fire." He gestured to the campfire that Christopher had been nice enough to make when he arrived.
@san c。ʰⁱᵈᵈᵉⁿᵐᵒᵘⁿᵗᵃⁱⁿ It's been only about 30 or so minutes since Christopher wandered through the brush to approach the dragon. The issue at hand was his broken lantern. Apparently, it was pretty much the only thing keeping him warm at night. The human had packed several things into the bookbag he had strung over his back, which was now sitting beside him as he perches on a stump. A decently sized camp-fire was in front of them, radiating enough light for Christopher to be able to see what he was doing -- something he had set up upon arriving to the site -- and providing enough warmth to keep both of them satiated against the night's brisk air. He was using the tools he brought to fix the lantern, brows pinched in concentration and eyes never leaving the object once. It was starting to come together. "Oh, before I forget," Christopher broke his silence by suddenly piping up, grabbing the book bag and tossing it to San's feet. "That's for you." It had two blankets, a few hoodies, and a pillow all compiled into the bag as well as a flashlight. San was living on his own, all the way out here, and while Christopher still believed that was /incredibly/ unsafe, he can't (and won't) force the other to live differently. Still, though... "You sure you're comfortable living all the way out here?" He inquired, lifting his head and regarding the other with a quirked brow. "I seriously don't see how you are, but then again you're not human, so..." The human glances back down at the lantern. There was something a little off about the look in his eye. "Anyways, I'm almost done. This was an easy fix."
@san c。ʰⁱᵈᵈᵉⁿᵐᵒᵘⁿᵗᵃⁱⁿ ( shhh you know i'm more than willing to wait for you bby uwu ♥ it's worth the wait hehe
btw i will give a reply to our heir plot hopefully within the next few days! i keep getting burnt out from getting swamped in replies on top of my new job so i'm trying to really take my time with getting enough energy to handle a novella reply >< )
Christopher watched the male's reaction closely, wanting to see how he'd handle the cream and its smooth taste. He was hit with the sudden urge to take San anywhere he could just to watch him experience everything there was to offer. The world was their oyster and frankly, Christopher could do with a nice bowl of ramyeon right about now. Shaved ice was really good, especially as a late night snack, but ever since Felix had recommended the shop a while ago, he hasn't been able to crave anything else. "It does need to stay cold, unfortunately. It's a dairy product and they spoil /very/ easily," he explained, reaching out to take the carton back. "Which means I'll have to chug this fast before it spoils since it's been out of the fridge for a bit. A small laugh leaves his lips, noticing how San would reach out to him everytime he tripped and not minding it, needing the little extra help to navigate through the darkness. "Yeah, I'm one of the harmless humans, I assure you--Ow, , why there are many roots--But, uh, aside from too curious for my own good, I have no ill intentions. You'll be a grown boy soon then, San." With a wide, charming dimpled cheeky grin, he blindly reaches out and pats his shoulder before tripping yet again. "Motherer--"
@christopher b。ᵐᵒᵒⁿˢʰⁱⁿᵉ [] Yes, I'm sure and I'm sorry for making you wait so long for a reply. ;;
Staring at the carton, his brows pull together before he pours some into his mouth. He tries to think of how to describe the taste as he hands it back. It was very sweet but he couldn't think of the word itself. "G-Good," he utters out, meaning it even though it probably didn't seem like he did. "Cold. It... It stays cold," he questions, wondering if he could even keep some. He was aware there were some foods that had to stay cold or they didn't taste good anymore, or smell good either, after a short amount of time. He wasn't sure why that was but it was something he'd picked up on. "Milk," the dragon repeats, trying to think of what he's had that wasn't fish, helping to narrow it down. "I want to try," he smiles widely enough to show both of his dimples, "Milk and cream." San gets worried whenever he sees Christopher trip, instinctively reaching for him each time. "Human? Not scary, not mean human," San smiles brightly again, "I am... Mm, I am dragon. Baby dragon but adult soon."
Upon noticing the curious look in the other's eye, Christopher follows his gaze before extending the carton out, nudging his elbow with it encouragingly. "You can try it! Go ahead. They're not expensive, actually. Pretty cheap good ones at the corner store nearby." He was just speaking idly to fill the silence, fully aware of the fact that San was still trying to get a grip on the concept of words and sentences and wanting to spare him the humiliation of struggling to find the right things to say. Even though Christopher constantly told himself to not ramble so much it ends up happening without him even realizing most times until someone ends up pointing it out at least. Back then, he certainly wasn't like this. Back then, Christopher looked and felt dead to the world. Now there's obvious life in his eyes. "I mean, you've tried milk I'm assuming, right? There's different /flavors/ of it, mate. Strawberry milk, banana milk--which is my favorite--chocolate milk. Is there a peach milk? I don't know honestly. It'd be cool if there was. I like a lot of fruit flavored things." As they walked down the path, ducked periodically below low branches and did stumble a few times over some overgrown roots but that's because humans couldn't see that well in the dark. Granted it was only evening and the sun was only halfway beneath the horizon, since the accident, Christopher's been having trouble with his eyesight in general. Best to be careful and not fall on his face. "Oh, uh, I'm human. If you can't already tell, haha."
@christopher b。ᵐᵒᵒⁿˢʰⁱⁿᵉ [] You're all good. You just do what you feel. No worries. ^^
Glad that Christopher didn't seem upset or frustrated with him yet, San still takes a moment to understand before he's following the other. He isn't quite sure where he's going but he's trusting the other to help him. He isn't sure if others are this kind on the island but he's glad to have finally worked up the nerve to really talk to someone and get some help. San glances over when Christopher drinks from the bottle he'd held. He remembers the other mentioning it to be a cream, curious since he heard the other say that it was good. The dragon finds the other's laughter and smile to be warming. When he used to see him, he couldn't say that he ever remembered really seeing an expression like that but it's nice to see now. He understands what it means to hurry and moves faster to keep up with walking alongside him, hoping they reach their destination soon.
@san c。ʰⁱᵈᵈᵉⁿᵐᵒᵘⁿᵗᵃⁱⁿ ( sorry about the length switch
brain go brr at multi para rn )
As patient as ever, Christopher waited for the other to fully grasp the new word as his smile slowly turned more warm and more genuine. Less strained. Less forced. He seemed to have let go of whatever that was a few seconds ago. "Yes, ice-cream," he enunciated slowly just to help San further grasp how to pronounce it properly. Though it was rather interesting simply because there was still a thick Australian accent to his voice regardless of what language he was speaking in the moment. His eyes turned to crescents as his cheeks pushed up, smiling widely at the other while gesturing at him to follow. "Come on! i'll lead you over there. It's not too far from here, actually. Just a little ways in that direction." Christopher gestured off towards a path towards the left of them as he walked forward, finally stepping out of the tree line and letting him become more visible in the light. It was then he remembered the jug in his head and looked down at it, eyeing the label curiously. It was a sweet cream milk that was quite popular amongst the locals, it seemed. They enjoyed drinking it on its own and he bought it to put it in his coffee. The human man gives a pause, uncaps the jug, brings it to his lips and takes a small taste. His eyes lit up, twinkling in delight as he took another sip before putting the cap back on. "Oh, man, this is actually quite good, who knew-- Anyways, come on!" With a sheepish laugh, Christopher gestured again for San to follow him as he leads off towards the path. "They close at a certain time, so we'll have to hurry."
@christopher b。ᵐᵒᵒⁿˢʰⁱⁿᵉ Without his abilities, it wasn't always easy to read his surroundings, but he did his best. He was trying to do so even now as well. San can tell there's something on the other's mind, wishing that he could help somehow but he wouldn't even know where to start, even more so if he would even be able to understand entirely. He can understand emotion and gestures but words aren't his strong suit. He's glad beyond words that his drawing has gotten much better. It does help that he does it in his free time. The dragon's new nest had become filled with the drawing and writing supplies in the past few months as he's done his best to replenish the resources, his supplies all back home in his mountain cave.
"Ice...Ice cream," he repeats, saying it a few times until he thinks he has it right. He hugs his sketchbook to his chest, gaze on the other as he talks more about the ice cream, understanding some of his words. San watches as Christopher's expression seems to change again, hoping the other is okay. He's been so kind to him already that San really doesn't want to make Christopher uncomfortable or uneasy. "Park? They have...i-ice cream," he asks, stuttering and hoping he's speaking coherently enough for the other to understand. There's excitement in his eyes, a sparkle. It feels like it's been such a long time since he's had ice cream. It's one of his favorite dishes from home. "Please? We go?"
@san c。ʰⁱᵈᵈᵉⁿᵐᵒᵘⁿᵗᵃⁱⁿ Christopher was... aware that he was wearing the shock out loud without meaning to. After all, nobody here even knew about his past. And even back in his original hometown, he fought desperately to avoid having his name in the papers (it ended up happening anyways, of course, because people pieced things together). It was pretty much right after that when things turned south but we're not going to open that can of warms. Not now, not ever. He wanted to keep that demon buried. No one was going to find out about what Christopher endured back in Australia. To be honest, he wasn't sure if he wanted to get close to anyone just yet, deciding to play it safe and stay closed off. That... hasn't really worked, though. Felix, Yeonjun - they've both become people that the human is starting to care about. Would San be another?
They've seen each other before... but that was when Christopher was weak. And he never liked the reminder.
Shoving his internal mental breakdown, he straightens his posture and pays more attention to what the other was trying to explain. Eyes narrowing slightly at the sketch before finally catching on to what San was really looking for. "Oh, /that/ cream! It's called ice-cream." He informed with a small, dimpled smile. "You can normally find it on street vendors in the city or even at the park. Of course you can buy some premade but they just don't taste the same." Don't start rambling. It annoys people. Christopher presses his lips together in a thin line then awkwardly gestures behind him, cheeks dusting a soft pink with humiliation, embarrassment. "Uh... there could be some vendors in the park? If you want I can... take you over there real quick?"
@christopher b。ᵐᵒᵒⁿˢʰⁱⁿᵉ San hadn't been on the island for long, although it felt like forever since he he'd never been away from home for this long. He had heard some passerbys of the lake question if he were a mirage or a ghost on more than once occasion. Thankfully, there weren't many people out today it seemed, at least not near the lake. He couldn't help coming here since it felt like a piece of home, comforting.
In the time that he's been here, he's yet to really try out the apps until today. He's glad he didn't shy away from giving an attempt yet again but he still feels uncomfortable using the technology to communicate. He hadn't thought about it before but the thought hits him now as he finally realizes the stranger will be coming to meet him soon. It's amazing he hasn't starved with how long it's been since he's tried to hold some sort conversation with another person. He tends to have more of an appetite in his human form but can last longer without much nourishment in his dragon form, which is why he usually keeps his other form most of the time. He ends up frantically searching if he had his mini sketchpad on hand, sure he remembered to bring it out with him this time. The dragon sighs in relief when he comes upon it and just in time it seems.
He hears his name and nods slowly, underaranding that much. San isn't sure why the other is reacting the way he is but can't deny the ping of familiarity in the other’s face. It finally hits him. "Path walk," he blurts out, frowning. San was trying to process a proper sentence after his brain had translated what he wanted to say but it came out much too soon, "Hello." He smiles weakly, feeling embarrassed, though his eyes widen when he sees what Christopher has brought with him. He shakes his head, "Not right cream." He opts for his sketchbook, quickly drawing a sketch of bowl of ice cream with a few scoops and then another he'd discovered that he also didn't know the name of which was the Asian style shaved ice he'd come across a couple of times. He shows the other his sketches, "This cream? Your cream good, too?"
@san c。ʰⁱᵈᵈᵉⁿᵐᵒᵘⁿᵗᵃⁱⁿ This was a rather interesting turn of events. The last thing Christopher expected to do was grab the cream from his fridge and decide to make a trek through the woods in order to reach the lake, where he'd then meet an unfamiliar (and new) face just to give him said cream and then... hang out. Of all his weird little antics, perhaps it was the human's growing need for company that was beginning to take hold of him. He misses his family. And he misses waking up to noise. Now it's just silent and Christopher has been struggling to sleep because of it, struggling to settle in to this place because wanting to spend time with people is one thing and actually having a social life is another.
He only really has like two friends and he would feel selfish by reaching out and yet here he was ducking below a low branch to avoid getting hit in the face, increasing his pace as the lake started coming into view. Christopher then found himself standing in the tree line with a clearing in front of him. He could see San a good distance from him but that wasn't what made him halt all movements.
San, as it turned out, was /not/ an unfamiliar face yet they were still a passing stranger that he came across several times in the past... back when he still lived in Australia. Christopher was in rehab when he first saw San on the trail (frequent walks or hikes helped him fight off the urge to dabble in the devil's flower) and then one day, he stopped showing up after packing things up and disappearing off the face of the earth. And it's been several months since Christopher was last in Australia. A part of him distantly wondered if the other male even noticed. "You're San?" He finds himself saying, feeling like he was going through whiplash right now. "Holy , uh... Hi?"
@hyunjin h。ˢᵃᵘᶜʸᴶ "Well, nothing negative as of right now. I think I have come to realize that when I have the comfort of a very close friend, he goes quiet, or at least, does not attempt to make himself known." He still had concern about becoming too angry or riled up around those friends since he obviously would never forgive himself if he hurt those close to him, but having a bit of stability provided some relief for the wendigo. "Then we can do all of that...except the meteor. Both selfish? Perhaps. Although, as strange as it may sound, I do not mind you being selfish when it comes to me. You can be as selfish as you want." There, he said it. He could only hope that Hyunjin wouldn't think it was too weird. Complement...They complement each other? Yes, that actually seemed to make sense, and, honestly, Sehun liked the warmth it brought to him. "You definitely do give me energy; I have been more active than ever. So, I agree. We fit well together." He murmured, eyelids slipping shut as his face was held so tenderly between Hyunjin's hands. "You do not have to sound like me to be smart, you know. You have been smart since the beginning, but maybe you just did not know that." He chuckled along with the other before his eyes opened back up and he broke out into a gentle smile. "And, in addition to being intelligent, you also are very stunning. Pretty, beautiful...if there even is a proper word to describe not only your features, but also your personality."
@sehun o。ᵒʰˢᵉ Hyunjin eyed the other for a short while, contemplating whether he should expect some sort of unwanted reaction from the dormant creature inside of Sehun. Was he scared? No. Was he concerned? Definitely. But only because he hoped that the beast was not causing the other any harm because of the affection. He was still sure that if the circumstances required it, the imp would step in. "Hm, that can be a source of worry. But as long as he's not doing anything negative just making your eyes light up my world, we can get along just fine," Hyunjin smiled tilting his head to the side as well. "I still want to do al of that. Except the meteor," Hyunjin mumbled through the pout, his fingers absent-mindedly playing pretend piano with Sehun's fingers. "And I dont want this to end anytime soon either. So we're either both selfish, or just like each other," Hyunjin was pouting still whilst shrugging. He didn't mind knowing the other was 'selfish'. In fact, the information caused him to want to just break out of his skin and tell everyone exactly what Sehun had just told him. Hearing the sad part of Sehun's life again, Hyunjin gnawed at his bottom lip. If he could, he'd change that in an instant. He reached over, his hands cradling Sehun's jaw from both sides. It became of habit at this point. "If I told you that I feel like we complement each other, would that make sense? I know, I read people say this often when they are in love and things, but... wilt feels like we do. You... keep me in check while I give you energy. And I think that kind of beautiful in a sense. We... we fit, you give me what I haven't got and vice versa," Hyunjin spoke, his thumbs caressing the other's cheekbones. "See? I already sound like you, so smart," he suddenly joked, sputtering a little as he tried to not laugh out loud.
@hyunjin h。ˢᵃᵘᶜʸᴶ "I...was not aware, either. I can only recall one other time my eyes glowed like this, and it had been before the beast took over. That is why I was so confused. This has only ever happened when I felt anger, and, as I said and as you can tell, I currently am in no way, shape, or form angry." After allowing himself to be tugged back towards the imp, Sehun settled once more on his sleeping bag, legs crossing themselves underneath him. "Which you already have reminded me many times... You managed to make me the happiest I have ever been. And, even if you did not remind me of my worth or tried to explain that I deserve these things, I am confident that I would still be happy. But - let us avoid you being struck by a meteor or anything else that could cause you harm. Call me selfish, but I do not want my happiness taken away so soon...or ever." He mumbled, free hand rubbing at his nape. After not having someone so dear to him to worry about like this up until now, Sehun was certain that if he ever lost Hyunjin, it would completely destroy him. "You cannot believe it? What is the part you cannot believe? Before I left, my family would always tell me that no soul would find me suitable for them because of how I acted and how dull my personality was. So...if anything, I am the one who cannot believe that you, who is full of life and energy, everything I am not, have taken a liking to me. It is surreal."
@sehun o。ᵒʰˢᵉ "I'm glad you are very happy, I was just surprised," Hyunjin said already grappling at the zipper of his jacket to take it off and cool down a little. "I wasn't aware you had that ability," he snickered breathily, removing the jacket finally and bi-handedly pushed his blonde locks out of his face. "But I'm glad I can have a very clear giveaway of your happiness," he smiled, ear to ear, his eyes squeezed into crescents. "I-" Hyunjin turned his head, thoroughly taken aback. If it weren't for his self-determination to show Sehun exactly the same things he has just been told and related to, it wouldn't be so shocking. Was the wendigo secretly a psychic? Was that a trait of the creature he wasn't aware of? "A-And that's what I want to do for you! I want to keep reminding you that you are so much more than you think, that you deserve to be happy. And if I can make that happen, if I can make your eyes glow like this /constantly/ I think at that point I could be hit by a meteor and not have one regret in my life, because I would feel accomplished," he instinctively reached for Sehun's hand and held it in his hands, practically dragging him back from the heater. "You're special. To me, to the chefs, to your patients, to your friends, to so many people! I don't... I can't believe that I'm the one you chose to be your special someone," with a little pout forming between his slightly pink flushed cheek, looking up at Sehun with adoration and underlying disbelief. "And I will continue to prove that to you," with a firm, decisive nod, Hyunjin declared.
@hyunjin h。ˢᵃᵘᶜʸᴶ "I am not sure what else it would be from then, considering that I am very happy right now." Technically, he did have one other idea but wasn't one hundred percent sure. Happiness made the most sense at this moment in time, anyway. Sehun's lashes fluttered slowly once the other released his face, although the warmth on his cheeks remained for a few moments longer before finally disappearing. "Are you okay?" Sehun questioned as he watched the imp look rather frantic. "I can turn those heaters off if you think they are going to be a problem, but otherwise, you do not have to apologize at all. A little heat would not be too much to handle." Even his dogs seemed to be content with the temperature, both pups now laying on their backs, unmoving, with their eyes closed. "Well, you do deserve to hear those kinds of things." He murmured, already standing and moving to the nearest heater to switch it off. "It sounds like I need to continue to remind you how special you are. Not just to me, not just to Vivi and Monsieur, but to the town as a whole."
