* Plot Room #4: It Was Love That Tore Them Apart

@[ACES] Kim Sunggyu "I'll go then." she nodded. If Baekhyun was there, she would be less anxious and lonely in a foreign place. Especially since it was Sunggyu's dorm. She was still fearful of him and going to his place might mean walking straight into the lion's den.

Eunjung was scared of heartache.

"Baekhyun-ssi?" Sunggyu frowned. Why would she mention about Baekhyun. Sunggyu clearly knew Baekhyun and Chanyeol were in a relationship, but he can't help but felt a tinge of sourness inside. His heart clenched tightly, almost forbidding blood for flow through. "I.. I guess he would." Different scenarios of how Eunjung and Baekhyun played out in his mind.

@[ACES] Kim Sunggyu Eunjung couldn't help but feel a little uneasy. Afterall, they weren't friends nor in any sort of relationship. Just two people embroiled in a scandal together.
"Well... I might get into trouble for missing training," she sighed and thought a little longer, "Will Baekhyun be there?"

"Well, I thought I would invite you over to our apartment.. We're celebrating ACES' debut." Sunggyu rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly as he explained to her. The members have promised each other that they were to each bring someone special over for the party. He wanted to share this moment with her, his someone special. "Please say yes..." His heart pounded loudly, why did he always feel like that whenever he was talking to her. Sunggyu felt a little messed up in his mind.

Eunjung heard what he said and wanted to rebuke him but she didn't say anything. He could say whatever he wanted but she wasn't going to believe a word of that. It was her own little insecurity in a appearance conscious society. Besides, he was a don juan, why should she believe his flattering words? He said those at the mall and now he was saying them again, messing up her feeling for him again.

"Tomorrow.. just training. Why?" she asked, heading to the hot water station to cook the two cups of noodles for them.

@[T] Ham Eunjung Sunggyu held his stomach and laughed at what Eunjung had said. Fat and bald. "Oh come on, it's just one cup, I'm not asking you to live on that.. Besides, it's the cheapest thing here!" Sungyu said it with a matter of fact tone. Making his words sound even more illogical than before. "You're pretty enough to capture all eyes when you're in the spotlight." He told her., assuring her that one cup noodle wouldn't hurt.

He trotted behind her as she paid for the cup noodles. He knew that trainee's pay were at the lower end of the pyramid, maybe that's why claimed she didn't want to eat.

"What are you doing tomorrow?" He asked her knowing that ACES MV would be out the next day and he told the boys to throw a in their apartment. He thought it would be a good idea to bring her along.

"Sunggy-" she narrowed her eyes at the high sodium, high cholestrol food. What happened to dieting. "Sunggyu, that's going to make me fat and bald."

If you ask Eunjung what she liked to eat, wholesome food in restaurants or Korean meals where her favourite. But if you ask her what she could eat (of course, considering cost amd nutritional value) she would anser, "water or air" The strict diet she imposed on herself was with the mindset of becoming the woman on screen that people admired and look up to. A slender figure was absolutely necessary even if it meant starving herself.

"Fine," she sighed, taking the two cups of noodles from the man, "I'll go pay for it." and quickly, she walked off to the cashier, leaving him alone.

Sunggyu's heart pounded so loudly he could hear it himself. It has been a long time he felt this. No casanova should feel this. That's what he had been telling himself for the past few years.

"Okay, but I'm still on a diet and I'm paying." Sunggyu felt the corner of his lips tugged upwards. "I know what's cheap and filling." He told her. It was pretty late and not many stores were left open. "And most definitely won't be seen by outsiders."

He brought her to the building's convenience store. He pushed her in lightly. The doorbell rang the moment they stepped into the shop, sensoring their presence. Sunggyu 'abandoned' Eunjung for a little while as he dashed towards his treasure island. His finger scanned through the different color, flavors, packaging, branding, until he found his target. He picked his favorite flavor and took a more ordinary one for Eunjung, not sure whether she will like it or not. He turned, grinning with his trophy in his hand, as he looked for Eunjung around the medium sized convenience store.

Cup noodles.

She stopped in her tracks when she heard him call out to her. It cut through her heart like shards of glass because being around him hurt when she knew she couldn't be his. Being away from him hurt too, not being able to be in his presence.

Dinner? Should she stay with him a little longer and have dinner? It was late and her diet still stood.

"Okay, but I'm still on a diet and I'm paying."

Perhaps this would be her last time with him before she hands in her resignation letter the next day. There was something blooming between them that was forbidden and she would crush it before it has a chance to grow further.
Eunjung still loves Sunggyu and for that, she'll make a sacrifice.

Seeing Eunjung quickly packing her things, Sunggyu felt his heart sink a little, her in a rush to leave. Did she still dislike him? A part of him wanted her to stay, a big part of it.

"Bye." She picked up her bag and rushed out of the room.

Sunggyu looked out of the window. The sky was dark, he didn't even realize how long they had played around in the studio. It felt strange, the empty room, without her voice. He got towards his belongings, spot an object that hadn't belong to him. A chance.

"Eunjung!" He ran out of the studio, holding onto her bottle in his hand, chasing after her steps. "Dinner?" It was the second time he held her back as of today. He mentally chided himself, why is he doing this again. He chose her. It was official. Within a day, feels built up in him, overpowering his supposedly correct mentality. He hated goodbye, he feared not seeing her for the next minute.

"I see... that's okay. You like tired, you should go back to rest. I'll meet you tomorrow then." she smiled wanly. She was a little disappointed to have to part with him so soon, no, part with him forever. Eunjung hadn't actually let go of the idea of resigning. She could always join another company or even get a job or something. As much as she didn't want to lose her dream, she didn't want to hurt him either.
"Bye." she picked up her things and quickly exited the room, not wanting to make separation any harder.

Sunggyu felt Eunjung staring at him. He looked up and caught her turning away after their eyes met for a second. He quickly pasted his phone onto his ear, calling one of the chorographers as the atmosphere turn a little awkward. "Hyung! Are you free to- Oh sorry! You're having a class now? Oh okay, sorry hyung! Yes catch up soon! Bye!" sunggyu then lowered the phone in his hand. He looked at Eunjung, slightly disappointed, "I guess we have to end our practice here today..."

She was hopelessly in love with him and she knew it. After meeting him, she didn't date anyone even though she knew she was just a one night stand to him. But her pride pushed her away from him. She never stopped liking him and now, she couldn't like him. He was an idol and she would become his burden.

"Okay. I think we should too." Eunjung was starting to feel that if she gave up her dream, he could fulfill his better. She could just... Find another way out?
No, she worked so hard for this, it would be helping him but disappointing herself.

Sunggyu realized what he was doing, again. He quickly held Eunjung back up and stuck his hands in his pocket, turning away from her a little. "I-I'm sorry." He could have scared her again. "I got carried away..." He added with a slightly softer tone. He thought hard about what he had tried to choreograph, it didn't look as good as he imagined. "Maybe we should get a professional in for this." Sunggyu walked over to his belongings and took out his phone, scrolling through his contact list looking for perhaps someone who could help them.

She watched how serious he was. That was his charm- being focussed. A hard working man was always a charming man. Then he made her bend backwards and she got a good look into his eyes. The eyes are the windows to ones soul they said, and right now, she saw a determined man with a gentle heart. One that was living and kind despite his past. She wondered what he had gone thrpugh to become the monster she feared. That monster was long gone now and she was ready to accepthim again.

@[T] Ham Eunjung Sunggyu smiled when she agreed to his suggestion. He quickly took her hand and twirled her around. "We could have stuff like this." Then he pulled her close, "And maybe this." His eyes weren't fixed on her, instead it was on the mirror in front of them. He was already choreographing the steps. "We could add a little tango or swing in it as well." He remembered what she had said just a few seconds before. He also remembered that she was rather flexible. Sunggyu held on to her and pulled her downwards on her waist, making her back bend backwards and then pulling her back up, close to him again. Then he looked at her, "We can really do this."

He seemed really keen on the song but she could see all the comments she was going to get from it. Whatever, she thought, as long as he was satisfied. "Okay, let's do that then."
It was strange, how she wanted to please him so much and how his smile...

It warmed her heart.

@[T] Ham Eunjung "Really?" Sunggyu put a finger on his lip. "I was thinking of that song that I let you hear.. We could.. sing along to it, which means more practice, or we can just have a dance performance that can show you off." Sunggyu started to think of this stage of more showing the trainee off, in this case, Eunjung.

"Fun... How about high level? Like tango or swing? And if we perform while singing live, it would really be quite the performance. " she suggested.
"But I'm not that great in singing so you'll have to supplement me in that area." she bit the tip of her tongue cutely and smiled at her partner. A real smile, unlike the faint, tired ones she had given him in the past.

"Yah.. that was amazing.. you've got to teach me!" Sunggyu stood up and tried to imitate Eunjung but with his stiff body, it was really tough. He bend down and clutched his stomach as he laughed at himself from the failed imitation. "Now now.. back to the topic, we should really choose something fun for our special stage."

She blushed, not sure of what to do, racking her brains through three months worth of training. Finally, when the music turned more fast paced, she decided. "It might look funny... Don't laugh!" she pointed a finger at him.

Sunggyu chuckled, "I'm not one bit good, you should see Jongup though." He stretched out his hand towards her and pulled her up when she took hold of it. "Now it's your turn." He planted his on the cold ground and crossed his arms in front of his chest, anticipating what she was going to show.

She applauded, laughing and saying "Wow!" in amazement. "You're so much better than me." she said enviously. Eunjung had pushed everything away. She would face him like two people that just met. Two strangers. And she didn't like him romantically yet. Yet.

Sunggyu nodded softly, as he listen to her words. Not even yesterday. A clean slate, a fresh start. It would also mean Eunjung would be less mean to him.

"Me? Dance?" Sunggyu rubbed the back of his neck as he took a few steps away from the reflective mirror. Imaging that beside him was the rest of s. "I'm not really good at it though..." He said as he wet his lips with his tongue and stretched out his hands, entwining them together and giving them a good stretch. "Really, don't laugh at me." He ranted, "I'm really really not good at dancing."

Sunggyu just so suddenly lay down flat on the ground with his chest touching and pushed himself up with his knee and his arms, doing a little scorpion move.

"Not even yesterday." she said firmly. He asked if she would dance and Eunjung shook her head playfully. "Nope! I want to see you dance. " She didn't know what he was good at yet and she wanted to find out. For work, of course.
She sat on the floor, a distance away from him and stretched her legs, resting her arms on her thighs- a flexible pose. "We're friends now by the way.".
Friends. It was something she was sure both parties would be comfortable with. Not too distant neither too close.

"Not yesterday?" Sunggyu blinked. He wondered why he gave so much of his aegyo towards her, he don't even show it to s. He mentally slapped himself several times, trying to go back to the shell of the cooler guy in him. Sunggyu's eyes followed Eunjung as she put in another CD into the stereo. He bobbed his head to the beat of the more upbeat songs. He pursed his lips as he listened attentively to the song. Then he saw Eunjung just standing there, "Aren't you going to dance for me or something?"

Eunjung couldn't help but smiled. What he did was cute, she admitted. "Now, nothing happened. We just met for the first time today."
She wanted to put their history away since it was their past that was hindering any form of development to happen, work wise and personal wise.
Eunjung put in another CD into the stereo. This time, more upbeat rap songs.

Sunggyu's eyes trailed from her face, to her stretched out hand, back to her face. He awkwardly took the hand and gave it a firm shake. "Um, am I really suppose to do this too?" He asked, hiding his snicker that was killing him inside. He released his hand and stood really straight in front of her. He bowed politely at her, "I am Kim Sunggyu, lead vocal and leader of ACES. Twenty three this year-" Then he leaned in close to her ear, "Which makes you my noona-" And moving back to his original position, "Blood type A so mosquitoes love me. I love meat, and hates vegetable! My dream..." His confidence fell a little off his original scale. "... is to find a person who I can build a family with and grow old with that person." His unique way of attempting to make her laugh, or at least smile. "Kkeut!"

What she was about to do next shocked even herself. Taking a deep breath, Eunjung turned to face him. "Sunggyu. I think we should know each other better." Smiling softly, she stretched out a hand for him to take. "Hi, I'm Ham Eunjung. I'm twenty four years old. My blood type is O and I like to eat beef. My dream is to become a singer." she said naturally as if it was an interview.

End? They have no officially started any practice. End, did she meant something else? He was caught surprised when she came to hug him. Especially not after he made her cry. He wanted to wrap his arms around her, but before he could, she had escaped again. Coldness engulfed him straightly after.

"Are you going somewhere?" Sunggyu asked when she turned her back on him. He wanted to dig a hole into the ground right this instance. His hand grabbing onto ends of his shirt, crumpling it up. Was he being dumb or what? It was obvious that she wanted to be alone.
