Even the hope that he held that, while he knew Kion wouldn't return anything romantic, he thought things would be okay if the other would at least still see him as a friend. 'The worst someone can say is no,' is what they say. Something about this was so much worse than a simple, 'no.'

The tears he'd been managing to hold back finally began to slip as he listened to Kion's words. As he took in the other's expressions, the tone in his voice. Jayden's hands were shaking, his heartrate picking up and knees just a step away from buckling. He knew well enough to know he couldn't move. If he were to go nearer to Kion, what would happen? With how the other seemed, he felt that anything was possible. Even something he'd never truly imagined to be. "It isn't a joke," he whispered. He knew he probably shouldn't have said a thing, but he couldn't help it. All he wanted was for the other to take a breath, tell him it was okay, and let him down more gently.

"Kion, please... I didn't- I wasn't doing anything as a joke, I really care about you. I would never," he had to pause, to take in a breath and shake his head before continuing. "I would never pull a prank like this on you... I wrote that letter... I wrote... I wrote it because I meant it... I really am," he froze, unable to finish that sentence. And yet he pushed through, speaking even more as if it would do anything to help. He somehow knew it wouldn't, though. He never should have written the letter or gotten the chocolates in the first place. "I don't want you to hate me, Kion, I just... I couldn't keep it to myself, any longer. I'm sorry," He managed to say, the hurt evident on his expression and in his tone.

And at the same time, he couldn't stop Kion from leaving. He couldn't even bring himself to watch the other go, a newfound fear building up within him. He didn't want for this to be the last time he spoke to the other. He didn't want his most recent memory of Kion to be this way. Of a side he didn't even know that Kion had in him. And not in a way that one would daydream about-- that /he/ would daydream about in the past. Instead, it was as if his worst nightmare was coming true. It was too late. Nothing could stop this, right? He wondered this as his knees finally caved, arms lifting to cover his face.

He was absolutely humiliated. If someone were to see him like this, what would they think? And yet, it was like he was frozen. Unable to move.

@❀ he jiaxiang 「ᴊᴀʏᴅᴇɴ」ˣ.ᵈʸⁿᵐᵗᵉ it felt absolutely diabolical to do such a thing to someone he valued a lot in his life, yet kion caved into the urge to roll his eyes, his gaze growing dark as he chuckled bitterly to himself. he couldn’t look at jayden, he just couldn’t. it was a sheer mystery what was going through his friend’s head when he wrote such a thing, the more kion wanted to come to a possible conclusion as to why the letter even came to be in the first place. he genuinely sat back and pondered if he had overstepped in their friendship— done anything at all that was deemed more than necessary, harmless banter or not.

although the more he went on thinking, then the more his head started to ache, essentially.. he felt like he didn’t want anything to do with it. dare he almost decided he didn’t want anything to do with his friend at the moment? he’d gone through enough tosses and turns as of recent, some of which he had barely recovered from. so just why in the world did this have to add on to everything else? it wasn’t fair, but then again nothing in the world was, and kion was beginning to become a firm believer in that all too well.

approaching jayden, he simply held the letter out in silence just waiting for him to take hold of it. “here.. /here take it./” some short moments later, it is an obnoxious impulse that causes kion to push the letter with a hefty amount of force towards jayden’s chest. “man, you’re too good. we talked about this, right? these types of pranks– these.. /jokes./ you almost got me there, but let’s stop with these? i used to think they were funny, but i’m not really enjoying it anymore. i’m tired. i’ve had enough, actually. let’s just end this here.” he spoke, an expanse of red now scattered over his gaze with his voice, doused with the unexpected nature of a threat. their friendship soon dwindling into a realm of unfamiliarity: awkwardness, and a suffocating amount of it.

he wasn’t going to hurt jayden, kion simply couldn’t. but there was no telling what else he was capable of should they still be within a feat of one another, and so it was with that he simply up and left. vocal lessons long forgotten.

And yet, with how the other seemed to react, the way he looked at him, the tone in his voice... it was all so different from what he knew. Part of him hoped that this was only his mind playing tricks on him, and that he was just overreacting, seeing the reaction incorrectly. Maybe Kion wasn't actually so... angry? He couldn't tell.

"I... I didn't.. I mean..." His words seemed to fail him, heart shattering into a million pieces, which shattered again, and again, until it was nothing but powder. The pain in his chest was astronomical, and the power it took for him to hold back his tears was almost more than he could bear. "I didn't mean for you to see that today..." he finally managed to whisper, his voice cracking at the end of them.

@❀ he jiaxiang 「ᴊᴀʏᴅᴇɴ」ˣ.ᵈʸⁿᵐᵗᵉ kion hadn’t been in the best of moods for the past several days now, but the young trainee wasn’t aware just how much more fate was to toy with him. rendered absolutely perplexed, all he had been aiming for was an absolutely solid while of focus in what he dreaded the most, vocal lessons. but now, all he was dreading was what he felt at the moment— confused, frustrated, anxious. so many things all in one that he honestly just did not want to decipher, especially when it came to the apparent fact that..

“jayden’s in.. what- with, huh?..”

he read the letter many times in a span of what felt like forever because his head was spiralling, it was almost as if the words on the letter were playing around. making fun of him almost. of all things that might have seemed like a joke that the two had went over the years of friendship, this here was something that felt completely off. something that caused the trainee to essentially look at his supposed friend in a way he never had before. different. “this yours?” he sat up, letter still in grasp that was almost as firm as his voice.

,,on this day he'd decided to bring a forgotten gift with him, unsure of whether or not he'd go through with giving kion his chocolate and note- but at this point, of course, he'd decided against it due to the sensitive nature of the issue and not wanting to ruin his friendship with kion
,,he turned, bolting back to the practice studio and pushing the door open only to completely freeze up, wide eyes filling with tears from anxiety and fear at what he'd returned to- he was too late, but it was only a matter of time, after all

With another huff and an apprehensive look, she sat in the car and buckled up. Now that she was in the car, she took the time to admire the clean interior and also reflect on the fact he now knows her age and the fact she was a student. Could she make herself anymore identifiable? Cringing,she reached underneath her bottom to grab her broken phone and attempt to open it but that ended in failure. Frustrated she threw off her baseball cap to let her braids cascade down her shoulders “I go to the college down the street..just drop me off at the gate”

With a sigh she placed her hands on her hips and turned to crane her neck up to look at him” so what if I’m lying? What good would it be to give you my address hm? If you’re gonna report me to the police just do it now no need to get all fancy and delay the process..plus you’re weird “ she huffed,whipping out her broken phone to hand it over “look, I’ll even give you my phone to call the cops. Make this quick, I have classes soon”

@♣ aurora skies ᶠᵃᶰ he stood there, observing her, after walking to the door of a fancy sports car, he opened the passanger side "get in kid" he assumed that she was immediatly younger than him and that she was a teen, from the ages of 15-to maybe 18, he thought she had been hiding, maybe she was a trainee or something, or a cameraman, that had to hide to get good videos and photos of the idols, "i know you're lying" he said, it was something he had always been able to do from a young age, he could tell when people lied

Her tongue was poking the inside of her cheek as she schemed a get away plan.ofcourse she couldn’t give him her address but what did she give him? She could give him a random apartment block nearby? Only she would ever be in this type of situation “ uhm..I live nearby. Only three blocks down the street” she lied as she turned around to look at him,pulling down her mask to finally show her face and the forced fake smile that formed on her plush lips. If she had to pacify him, then she’ll do it

@♣ aurora skies ᶠᵃᶰ "no, really its fine" he said as he blocked the door easily, slightly trapping her "ill give you a ride." he said again, this time more serious, he was very set on giving the women a ride home, not completely aware that she had been stalking him until she picked up the cameras, he stopped mid sentence and looked at her "were you recording me...?" he asked, he didnt seem mad about it, just curious, he pulled his phone out of his pocket and glanced at the time, it was late, "im giving you a ride" he said sternly, opening the door for her

I’ll get home on my own” did he think she was stupid? Well, her actions spell stupid but she was far from it! What if this was a trick to find her address to give to the cops? Not good “I’ll uh see myself out “ she gave a tentative now before attempting to quickly shuffle past him through the now unlocked door

@♣ aurora skies ᶠᵃᶰ he sees her phone and then her face, "hey..." he walked over to his bag and pulled out his sweats, taking his wallet out and walking back over, he opened it and took out a few bills which appeared to be 10's but were actually 100's he handed her about 10 of them and looked at her, "here," he knew what he was doing as he picked up his stuff and asked, "do you live around here? i can drive you home" he said as he unlocked the door and held it open for her

Where all idol this weird? “Uhm…yea I’m fine” she said, apprehension evident in her voice and body language. Bending, she picked up her phone praying her screen hadn’t shattered in a though an pieces and when she saw that it in fact had,she almost cried “ just my luck “ with a sigh she rose and looked around the room for her cameras “look,guy, this won’t happen again ok? Just let me go and you won’t see me again” she was now looking at him with sharp eyes,heart beating 9 to nothing.

Won’t happen again I swear” her body language clearly gave away apathy but her voice tried its hardest to be as sincere as possible

@♣ aurora skies ᶠᵃᶰ he kept dancing until a figure in the corner of the mirror caught his eye, he froze, mid dance move and turned his head to the side and saw her, he let out a small scream "yah!" and looked at her for a few more minutes before letting his arms fall to his sides, he backed up a little bit, looking her up and down a few times, "shes obviously a fan, look at her hat and mask" were the only words that were running through his mind as he stood there, "are you ok?" was the first thing that managed to slip from his mind and out his mouth. "im a ing idiot" he thought just after he said it, internally cringing at himself.

They’re gonna love this one. Fan girls for whatever reason go feral over grown men showing skin but hey,more money! Too caught up in her excitement, she shifted too much and ended up slipping on something which unfortunately propelled her from her hiding spot “ oh my god oh my god oh my god!” She squealed internally as she stood there frozen with wide eyes” I am so ed!”

She let her eyes roam over the man and hummed in bemusement “I’ll never understand idols or their fans but they sure do make money” that was what made her job worth it, the money it generated. Was it exploitation? Sure but they exploit us so why can’t we them? That was her justification for doing what she does. Did it make sense morally? Nope but it made enough sense to her and that’s all that mattered

She seriously needed a new job, stalking and taking pictures and videos of random people isn’t gonna look so good on her resume. With a sigh she quickly set up her cameras in position” all this for people who wouldn’t spit on you to put out a fire” she made a soft clicking noise with her tongue before once more sighing her infamous sigh and turning around to go to her hiding spot
