Nope! You are free to create original names for your characters if you want to, but it's optional and you may use your faceclaim's name if you like.
Yes! We welcome all ethnicities, genders, ualities, and nationalities. Just be sure you are respectful, do not racebend, and any such changes you make for your character (such as name or nationality) are logical.
Yes they can! We would love to have more internationals join and diversify the music in our roleplay beyond just Kpop and Asian pop. Reminder that internationals are also more than welcomed in our Kpop-based groups!
If there is an available spot for one of our already debuted groups, then you may apply for it. Check the Idols room to see if any debuted idol positions are available! Otherwise, everyone who wants to become an idol is required to apply as a trainee and earn your way to debut through activity, participating in events, etc.
For the most part, both companies will grant you some amount of creative control once you have debuted. You are always welcome to make suggestions and admins will discuss ideas with idols BEFORE settling on any IC releases. If you get permission from admins and the song is approved, then yes you can! Just don't expect a song to be exclusively yours until we approve.
Often times if you have debuted in a group whose concept and/or songs have already been determined and planned by admins, then we will be the ones who choose concepts and songs for the group. You and your group members can discuss with admins and pitch your own ideas, but ultimately admins have the final say.
Another factor in what determines how much control you have is your activity, ability to follow the rules, and success in your IC career. If you are inactive, rarely post in your group dorm, barely participate in group activities or promotions, etc then you will have a lot less creative freedom. Admins will notice that you aren't working very hard and don't seem to put effort into your IC career, so we will delay your comebacks or reject possible suggestions you make.
Yes, it is possible for producers to release and perform their own music as long as they have the talents for it. Just like normal idols, you will need to prove your activity in the roleplay and get permission from admins in order to be granted this privilege. You may still keep your main job as a producer if you ever release your own music IC.
Yes you can! If you claim IC credits for any song in the Songbook, regardless if it's a remix or cover version, you will receive IC credits for EVERY version of that song.
For Example: We used a rock cover version of Pixy's Addicted for the co-ed band DOX in which someone claimed lyrics and composition for that song. If someone else were to ever use the original Kpop version of that song, the first person who claimed credits would still receive lyric and composition credits. OR if there are multiple language versions they would still receive the lyric credits.
We do it this way simply because it's easier to keep track of who claims what credits if we bundle all the versions rather than trying to give out various lyric/composing credits to different people.
Also, whichever version of the song gets released IC within the roleplay first would be considered the canon "original" version.
For example: The rock version of Addicted that DOX released would canonically be considered the "original" version of the song IC within our roleplay's universe.
