love songs, female empowerment, ballads — elovie has written it all, as her inspirations stem from cinematic masterpieces and picturesque views. easily, one could discern that separating herself from her craft is quite natural, but this time, as she prepares herself to perform a classic composition of love, it feels different. not that this noir trainee has experienced such romantic feelings, but this certain soul might as well have been the closest she's ever gotten to scratching the surface of it.
so, for the first time in her career, elovie tu has written a song with a specific someone in mind.
in comparison to her vocal performance last summer, eve thought it'd be most optimal to showcase a different side of herself for this year's festival. undoubtedly, her talent lies in her voice, but also her dancing skills — so, when the lights dim and her backup dancers have taken their positions on stage, she follows behind with a head microphone, and takes in a silent breath.
even if, in the end, she won't be rewarded for her efforts, she's simply grateful for being given an opportunity to perform, to feel like she truly belongs on the stage.
❛ you know i got ya
ain't nobody got you like that
ain't nobody gonna have your back like the way i do
love me, just say you do
when the spotlight graces eve, she appears heavenly with her dark tendrils that contrast her white attire (that has heavy semblance to ballerina fits). her voice is soft and moves are simple enough for her to maintain a steady breath. and when the next line begins, she bats her eyes for a flash of innocence to lace into her performance, all paired with a sweet smile.
❛ i really like it
nothing in the world could make me feel the way you do
the things you do
i really like it
nothing in the world could make me feel the way you do
the things you do
as the chorus catches up with her, the spotlight turns off, and the back screen showcases a full moon, allowing for the audience to become a witness to her slim physique as her silhouette is shown. though, it's revealed that she's not alone as a male backup dancer is lifted upon the platform and he's quickly within her reach. he gently takes a hold of her hand and together the two share a brief dance duet; he twirls her, carefully holds her waist, and raises her up with ease as she successfully poses whilst in the air. and when he safely lands her onto the floor, the moon, once dressed in pure white, now filters in a deep shade of crimson, in which the song switches tempo for a short verse.
❛ i love you and me
dancing in the moonlight
nobody can see
it's just you and me tonight
look at you, now look at me
are you ever, ever gonna find someone like this?
look at you, now look at me
are you ever, ever gonna find someone like this?
eve, having learned her lesson from her previous group performance, manages to uphold her energy throughout the second verse and chorus of her song, and not to mention, with an alluring simper. albeit the performance not having been finished yet, it was quite prominent to anyone watching that the trainee was already proud of her progress so far, and even excited for the ending she has planned. so, as the music continues, and she's able to leisurely sing with such fluid movement through the end of the chorus, the lights dim yet again, granting ample time for her team to rid of her sheer tutu and for her to begin her rap by dropping it low.
❛ under the moonlight, all in the moonlight
you should put a ring on it, "i do, i do," right?
still get the blue light, we gettin' nasty
i found a new ride, here in the backseat
love so good, i bet he be cashing out
got a feeling that rush's like you're passing out
couldn't handle these girls so we crashing out
evie on the way, i can back it out
rap has never been eve's strong suit, but perhaps there had been something in the air that night, for she maintains a good flow between her stanzas and is confident enough to even gift the audience a few expressions she's practiced. but, despite eve proving she can rap, the choreography definitely steals the highlight of the bridge. chest pumps and brief bounces near the floor, she captivates the crowd entirely so, and if they thought it'd end there, they were mistaken.
when the rap section finishes, an edm-like remix begins, to where she commits all her energy to the last choreography portion of her performance. although it's all upbeat, eve completes every move expertly; subtle body waves, wide arm swings, and passionate hip sways. and as the song comes to an end, she takes long strides back towards the screen, following the beat as it allows for her to present her final poses, until her dance partner from before returns. this time, he holds her waist as she secures an arm around his shoulder and leans her head back, knee lifted high enough for the two to recreate a romantic silhouette together as the finale to her performance.
without any regrets, she hopes to have left the audience as breathless as she was, and that she's protected the designated title of noir's secret weapon.
It had been a while since the drummer had sung in front of an audience. It had been an even longer while since the two had sung together on stage. It brought back too many memories of their old days, though not all of them were good, and some of them were memories only he could remember. This performance made him incredibly aware of it, especially as they stood in front of each other at the center of the stage, listening to the countdown for their starting point through the in-ear monitors.
The piano sounded accompanied by their harmonized voices, a song they'd composed together specifically for this one performance. Japanese being the obvious choice for the language when taking into consideration what they wanted to convey with the song. The moments represented in their art.
Reece started strong right from his first verse and Tomo couldn't seem to tear his eyes away from his currently blonde bandmate. The lyrics sounded much more real here and now than they had any of the hundred times he'd heard them before. Not only that, but the expression on the slightly taller man's face and the way he kept their eyes locked as he went through the words, made it feel like Tomo could understand every single word the other was trying to put out. There was suddenly a much deeper intensity to the song, Reece's emotions coming off stronger than Tomo believes even the other boy realized. It was almost like they could finally get a short glimpse into a small portion of the struggles the drummer refused to share.
To anyone who knew what he'd been through, the meaning being Reece's lyrics seemed quite obvious. As for Tomo's parts, even to him they still sounded ambiguous. A part of him had been thinking of his family, his mom, and sisters, all he'd put him through, and how much he regretted it despite still being unable to completely change himself. That wasn't all though. WISC, and especially Reece, had been on his mind as well as he put the words to paper.
"Within the scent of the night, even if I glare at the sky
All I can change is myself, that's all"
He hadn't realized it when he wrote it, and it hadn't felt as intense when they were practicing for the stage, but now it hit him full force, and he could tell how his own emotions took over his voice as he closed his eyes. A silent apology to Reece for how their last band had ended. But DOX was different. It felt different from the start, like a second opportunity and the perfect way to fix whatever had been lost. Even if it couldn't be done until Reece's memories slowly started coming back, they'd all do it step by step, and this song felt like a good start. He couldn't tell whether Reece or the audience could feel it too, but to him, this performance felt almost like a conversation. Sharing something they hadn't in a long time.
"The shadow of someone laughing, the voice of someone crying
Everyone is hoping for happiness"
Even if the other can't remember all of it, there are certainly parts that he does recall, and Tomo is sure the other can also notice the way their voices fit into each other, and how it goes beyond just endless practice. It comes off as effortless and natural, like they'd been doing it for years, because they had. It takes the song a few steps further, making the duet sound like it was always meant to happen. As the guitars are picked up for the closing act, he can feel the vibrant energy that has now spread through the venue and he is sure their feelings are translating to the audience with the same intensity as he is perceiving them. His gaze locks into Reece once more as their voices melt into each other once again to bring the song to its end.
"No matter what happens,
The unforgettable dreams or the inescapable present
Overwhelmed by the world, I learned the purpose of loss
(I must) Light up my destiny"
the red thread of fate— although commonly associated with romance, emanates the sheer importance of destiny, fate, and the alignment of connectivity through place, time, or circumstance. it may stretch, and/or tangle but never break. and with it is a fragment of reece’s journey to stardom untold, not just with tomo who had stood by him for the longest while, but anyone who had closely watched him all throughout including those in the audience under this summer festival heat that grew like piping hot magma, brimming in anticipation for the duo.
“intoxicated by those hazy flashbacks,
my unbending heart. my trembling hands
want to grasp something, that’s all.”
to all that he remembers is the minimal trembling of his fingers that barely ghost over the mic stand as his voice meshed in a symphonic harmony with his fellow bandmate. their voices always complimentary to one another, yet brazen as they cascaded in a distance out in the finest depths of the festival yard, drilling into the ears, let alone minds of spectators chained to the acoustic melodies. his orbs of dark brown glued to tomo’s as they fed off of each other’s dynamic prowess, completely neglecting the countless nights without sleep they’d had, retaining focus on perfecting the song of the hour that was their drive to artistic resilience.
“no matter what happens—
the unforgettable dreams,
or the inescapable present.
overwhelmed by the world,
knowing the purpose of losing,
(i must) light up my destiny.”
to all that he has forgotten is the root of prime he had started with. eliminating the misconstrued shackles of insecurity as he sat in the shadows as some wannabe rockstar. summers much like this one, he used to enjoy with his former band regardless of how small the crowd, let alone, the gig in general would have been. all a young reece could focus on was that he had a voice to be heard and thoughts to be perceived through every self-penned lyric combined to form spectacular serenades to whoever would listen.
even if it meant a good majority of songs would be kept in wraps and remained to be seen, reece was contented in just the smallest of beginnings for he believed not only in himself or tomo, but the integrity of musicality as a whole that brought him the utmost joy, now speaking true to every watchful gaze he’d return with a piercing passion— never once thinking that he would live to see the day where many would run a flock for the reap.r’s continuous growth had he not survived his disastrous coma, the spirals of trauma that came with it, especially the unfortunate case of amnesia which had tossed a couple of good years of his life down the drain.
“even if the way is paved with thorns,
which only appear in front of me.
i will show you i can overcome it.”
to all that matters now, however, is how he had found himself with dox. better yet, transformed into the artist that he is, and became one of the final pieces to the puzzle that completes their group.. no, family, as a whole. the same smile he thought he’d lost ages ago, essentially finding itself across his visage with years of practice. ripples of emotion are past the column of his throat, and with a given intermission, pulls a guitar into his grasp just to finish off the song with what steam he had yet to let out, assembling crowds into a chaos of headbanging, fist-pumping fury— a sight that had grown so beautifully accustomed to him and his fellow frontman.
coming such a long way just to truly feel at home, it was the company of 3 in which he’d basked in the sole comfort and amplified confidence of to stand on the stage today. with so much more fight left within, reece allowed himself to succumb to the glorious triumph of fate he had been dealt on his own accord, as the duo essentially simmers down to an enraptured finish, protecting the sanctity of an ample amount of performances to conquer, which would be all he could have ever asked for and more.
“ephemeral, scattered epilogue,
torn apart mercilessly by the wind.
whether one laughs or cries,
everyone deserves happiness.”
one bottle of jack consumed to the very last drop, a quick fluffing of his messy midnight tresses, and klaus was good to go. this would be one of the largest crowds he performed for thus far, dark brown eyes shrouded by shadows as they gazed out upon the thousands of faces before him all moved with anticipation. the calm before the storm never struck so sharp. he'd been playing hard rock and metal for so long, yet now would be experimenting with a more romantic rhythm. the devil of insecurity found itself tapping on his shoulder with indecent thoughts; would they like what he had to perform that evening? did he deserve to be there when so many other talented individuals worked hard to get on this lineup? was he good enough?
none of that mattered once pulling his beloved guitar into his grasp, the thick steel chain strap digging into his leather-clad shoulder. it was now or never. after mumbling a quick greeting for the audience and giving a nod to his band, light wispy synths slowly built up like a black fairy's wings flittering in the cool night air against the contrast of a deep bass guitar line. bright lights once shining over the stage dimmed down to pitch darkness until a gleam of red ghosted along his porcelain face, glowing just as the blood moon above creeped from behind grey clouds.
“black lipstick stains her glass of red wine.
i am your servant, may i light your cigarette?
those lips smooth, yeah i can feel what you're saying, praying.
they say the beast inside of me is gonna get ya.”
it was no secret that klaus possessed a unique vocal range, yet only in opera had he ever truly allowed his natural untampered voice to flourish. this time there was no scratchy hoarseness nor roaring raspy screams though. for once the dark prince sang low bass tone melodies smooth as whipped butter, rich as cacao chocolate, and velvety as a glass of merlot wine. hips hugged by tight leather sway while he strums on his electric guitar, rolling his neck back in a much more relaxed position and fluttering those piercing eyes shut so all there was left in the world was klaus and the music.
“i beg to serve, your wish is my law.
now close those eyes and let me love you to death.
shall i prove i mean what i'm saying, begging.
i say the beast inside me is gonna get ya, get ya, yeah.”
soon the bridge simmered down from hedonic sensuality into a much more demure introspection. his once deep bass voice that commanded attention then softened, whining and begging with a lighter baritone that dragged out the lyrics as if he were crying out to let his innermost thoughts touch to moon. slow and steady did the man drop to his knees upon the cold hard floor, edging against the border between the spacious stage and massive cramped crowd of people just below. one by one each instrument diminuendoed soft and silent until just the gentle notes of the synth keyboard were left as a background.
Yongja is a talented rapper who has faced his fair share of challenges in the music industry. One of the most significant obstacles he has had to overcome is a previous company that screwed him over and took all of his old songs. This unfortunate experience is a common story in the music business, where artists often struggle with issues of ownership, creative control, and exploitation.
Yongja's journey as a rapper began with a dream and a passion for music. He poured his heart and soul into creating songs that reflected his life experiences, thoughts, and emotions. These songs were not just lyrics and beats to him; they were pieces of his identity, his voice, and his artistry. When he signed with the previous company, he believed it was a stepping stone to success and a platform to share his music with the world. However, little did he know that this company had ulterior motives. They lured him in with promises of fame and fortune but ended up taking advantage of his talent and hard work.
The company, driven by greed, manipulated contracts and legal loopholes to claim ownership of all of Yongja's old songs. They effectively stole his intellectual property and stripped him of creative control. This not only hurt Yongja financially but also emotionally, as he watched his artistry being exploited without his consent. Yongja's story serves as a stark reminder of the harsh realities that many artists face in the music industry. The struggle for creative control and ownership of one's work is a battle that has been fought by countless musicians throughout history. It's a testament to the importance of artists being aware of their rights and having the resources to protect themselves in a business often filled with predatory practices.
But Yongja didn't let this setback define his career. Instead, he used it as motivation to rebuild and reclaim his creative identity. He knew that the only way to move forward was to create new music and regain control over his artistry. In the aftermath of this unfortunate experience, Yongja emerged as a stronger, more resilient artist. He poured his anger, frustration, and determination into his music, channeling his emotions into powerful verses and captivating beats. His lyrics became a testament to his resilience, a message to the world that he could not be silenced or held back. As he continued to release new music and build a dedicated fan base, Yongja's story of perseverance began to resonate with people from all walks of life. His songs about the company that had wronged him became anthems of empowerment for those who had faced similar challenges in their own lives.
Over time, Yongja's hard work and dedication paid off. He was able to negotiate with the previous company and regain control over some of his old songs. While the scars from the past were still there, this victory symbolized a significant step in his journey toward justice and creative freedom. Yongja's story serves as a cautionary tale for both artists and the music industry. It highlights the need for greater transparency, fairness, and ethical conduct within the business. It also underscores the importance of artists protecting their work through proper legal representation and contracts that safeguard their creative rights.
In conclusion, Yongja's journey as a rapper who faced betrayal by a previous company and the loss of his old songs is a testament to his resilience, determination, and commitment to his craft. His story is not just about the music he creates but also about the battles artists often face in a complex and sometimes unforgiving industry. Through his music and advocacy, he has become a symbol of hope and a voice for change, inspiring others to stand up for their artistic rights and never give up on their dreams.
The song is called No Title, and it represents that he has no title and has no label, and that his new start with Revolt will be a positive one, as Revolt's maknae, and this song is about this one particular struggle.

duet performance with Dawn ]
Staring at her reflection on the mirror, Ashley took a deep breath to calm her nerve down. It was not because she's worried about whether if she would gave a good performance or not, she was more worried about that one risky move that she would do later in the choreography despite having practicing it over and over again. "Ashley-ssi, 2 more minutes. Please standby in backstage." The staff told her to which Ashley just nodded and after one last cheer, she and her dance team made their way out to the backstage. It was not a new song from her, but it would definitely be the first time she ever performed it live and Ashley for sure didn't want to let her fans' expectation down.
Meeting Dawn-ssi backstage, they went through the rundown of the performance; where Dawn would appear and where she walked before rejoining Ashley at the center stage. Even though they did great in the rehearshal, it's nerver hurt to take extra rundown to ensure that nothing's going wrong. When it's her turn, Ashley closed her eyes as the video showing a countdown, with her dancing crew was already on the stage laying down, she stepped up to the stage with the cheer from the audience. Her gold cape, gold mic and gold stage props, adding more majestic feeling to the ambiance, exactly the way she wanted it to be. With a confident strut, she made her way to the main stage, taking off her cape along the way then sitting on the golden throne as the song starts.
The song went off smoothly, putting on higher notes when it reach the bridge part of the song "Welcome to my world and my show. Come on now and watch me sway. When I do it my way." The middle east kind of melody mixed with the upbeat music was easyly become one of the part of why her fans loving this side track as much as her title one and she received a lot of comment from them wanting to hear her singing the song live, to which she answered with this performance. It wasn't a performance with heavy choreography since she wanted people to focus more on her voice, Dawn's rap and the surprise element later.
After the second chorus, she got a little break time though not before saying "Girls, look who's coming out~!" with a high note, signaling Dawn that it was her time to slay the performance. While everyone's attention was on Dawn's performance, Ashley was getting ready for the stunt she had prepared so much and hope that there wouldn't be any error or it would be a fatal one. As the small part of the stage being lifted up, all the lights were on her as she sang with a soft voice "....falling down." This is it. This was the cue as she let her body fell back into the arms of her dancers who were ready to catch her, she could hear the scream from the audience as she pulled the stunt, every passing second before her back touched the dancers' hands werequite frightening but luckily everything went off smoothly and she met up with Dawn at the center stage nonchalantly, giving the girl a soft smile when their eyes met and finishing it off with her high notes. "Come now and watch me sway when I do it my way." She sang off the last part of the song while making her way back to the throne and sit down while in the end putting on a golden crown, staring at the audience with a queen-like authority. She waited until the cheer was over then standing up, bowing with happiness to the, again, cheering crowds with a satisfied smile. This was what a perfect performance for her like, and she's happy she could show and share it with the crowds.
After calming her heart beat, Mia walked towards the stage, smiling to the audience present while bowing her head and her upper torso. Holding her mic in front of her lips, she closed her eyes when the melody started playing. "Baby take my hand, I want you to be my husband. Cause you're my iron man and I love you 3000. Baby take my hand, I want this to be something straight out of a Hollywood movie~" Her sweet, melodious voice flow through the air, not forgetting a soft smile on her lips as she sang the song she had chosen carefully, as a way to convey her feeling indirectly towards someone who she knew maybe that he would never accept her feelings, but well, a woman can dream, can't she? Plus she had always wanted to show people that she was more than just a center, a face of her group. She also got a skill too. Mia continued to sing, and clearly she looked like she's really enjoying it. Her performance might be a complete opposite from what Maia performed before her but it might be a good thing so the audience could experience more diversity of the performance in this event. Once she was done with her performance, she bowed towards the cheering crowd and waved as she walked backstage, feeling content for having a good performance.
it had been a long time coming for maia to be up on stage performing on her own. and as with each stage, the woman aimed to make each one better than the last— worth the wait as she ensured everything would be polished down to a t. this time, however, rather than to have it perceived as just any other performance, she wanted it to be a celebration with the crowd. a party only meant for her, and those that would join her for the day as they embraced the joys of summer fever with open arms, a sheer reflection of her ever so highly awaited return.
“are you ready for me, los angeles?”
pandemonium was afoot as maia’s stage was announced through reverberating speakers, sending festival-goers into a roaring frenzy of energy as hot as the radiant heat that permeated all over. rays of sunshine acting as amplified beams of spotlight glistening like the metallic sequins of her outfit that made itself known the moment her visage appeared on the vcr screens, and soon, in prominence behind her loyal entourage of backup dancers that gave way to her imperial entrance fit for stage royalty. eventually would they ride the crescendo of bass with the formations of their bodies in a solid groove to slowly engrave a new chant into the heads of many, that would ultimately be the introduction to a possible upcoming hit for the season. a smile spreading across her glossy tiers as she simply fed off of spoiling her audience in the best way she knew.
“i know you want this party,
come take a picture.
i need ya’ focus on me,
come take a picture.”
like a siren songstress, her stage presence was the embodiment of mysterious magnetism; intoxicating anyone that watched on to drink up the persuasion of her lyrical cockiness of truth. leaving nobody, especially those in the front row, safe from her reign of power. for had there been any better way to enjoy summer at best, then maia would surely make it known that all answers simply lead to her. with each flirtatious gaze, sensual yet commanding body wave, and flawless hair flip; she demanded all eyes on her, as she’d readily come to prove each time that she was born to be the life of the party on stage. better yet, one for the books, where pictures of her would surely last longer. last forever. engraving the memory, let alone, the exact epitome of a well-seasoned performer in their prime.
“spine-tingling, freaky naughty,
it’s on, secret party.
engrave it clearly, baby.
come take a picture.”
as she sang on and kept up on the thundering pace of dancehall, a plethora of autographed polaroids would soon fill the skies as the idol herself took to the stage with her self-choreographed dance break, the chorus of the song carrying itself once again in an addictive stream of resonance. dancers easily surrounded the stage for what would bring the performance to a breathtaking finish, where maia essentially faded back into the center with one final send-off of a flying smooch, and a beamingly radiant smile now that she’d completed all that she set not only her heart, but her soul and mind to do. registering throughout that the festival was off to a great start and on its way to an undeniably remarkable finish with only more delights to come.
Sighing a bit softly as he made sure his outfit was okay and got ready waiting for the backstage crew to let him get ready for the performance as when the one before him was done he went on stage the lights start to dim before the band behind him which he was very thankful for or learning this on such short notice, he took a deep breath to calms his nerves. Even though he been preforming for how many years he still had the nerves right before the music starts before it would melt away as if a adrenaline would hit him at the right moment. As he started to sing he felt himself smile at the crowd and get lost into the motion of the song.
Tomo tucks the black tank top back into the black pants and readjusts the elbow brace for the nth time since he was called in to prepare, exhaling out the nerves slowly, though those were thankfully drowned out by the excitement of performing. The previous performer was already midway through their stage and his own turn was quickly approaching. A stylist stands in front of him, fingertips lightly pushing his dark locks into the intentionally messy styled look while the slightly shorter male behind him adjusts the in-ear monitors and makes sure the equipment is correctly taped and tucked into his back pocket. He is too focused on making sure everything is perfectly ready for the stage to notice the song coming to an end, but the intense and deafening cheer from the audience lets him know the other has just finished and the hands that had previously been on him quickly disappear, instead ushering him on.
As the lights dim and the stage is quickly rearranged by the responsible staff members, Tomo follows the band in, head facing down so the curly bangs will partially cover his eyes. He starts out in the middle, the microphone neatly placed on its stand in front of him, and the red lights immediately rise as soon as the guitar kicks the song off, earning them a thundering response from the excited fans. Instantly, his carefully styled hair is disregarded as his head bangs sharply along to the beat once the drums set them up for the first verse. The instruments fade back a little to allow his voice to fill in the space left and he doesn't move much at first, remaining at the center, eyes on the crowd and hands motioning along to the verses. It is only once the first chorus comes around that the mic is skillfully pulled from the stand to allow him to walk the stage as he sings. He initially uses this new self-imposed freedom to get closer to the hired musicians, hyping them up and feeding off their own energy as well.
As the second verse comes along, Tomo turns his attention to the audience, nearing the edge of the stage and crouching down, one knee on the floor for balance as he leans forward a little. His eyes lock onto this one girl in the front row who has her phone out and held up high towards him, her free hand reaching out as she screams over the music as loud as she can. His clothed hand mimics her own gesture, wrist wrapped in black bandages for the styled look reaching out to the girl which only elicits further screaming from that section. A small smirk attempts to pull at the corner of his lips as he achieves the intended reaction but he quickly pulls back up from his spot to hit the next chorus.
The performance flows mostly effortlessly, the vocalist skillfully carrying the song with the help of the musicians who take over the instruments for the set. There is a smooth drop in the instrumental as the bridge approaches, sticking to a low bass line accompanied by a few melodic notes from the rhythm guitar. "Alright! You all learned the words yet? Sing this last chorus with me, come on" Tomo uses this moment to direct some words at the public to get them a little more hyped for the finale.
"Well, everyone's listening, and they know the difference. You're not failing our senses, but you're pushing my limits-" His tone is kept low for the follow-up. Just two sentences of this heavier atmosphere as it builds up to the final chorus, and once the drums kick right back in his voice turns loud and raspy once more, the DOX bassist stepping back up to the edge of the stage to urge the people in the venue to follow along.
By the last chorus, most of the crowd was able to pick up on the melody and sing along, aided by the large screen behind him which showcased the lyrics for the ending of each sentence in big flaming letters. "If you're throwing-" He took advantage of this, singing the starting bit before ripping the microphone away from his lips and raising both his arms, directing it at the crowd to encourage them to follow. A small proud smile makes its way to his lips as the loud voices echo through the venue in response - 'me to the lions'
"You should know I'm-" He repeated the gesture once more, mic still directed at the fans, while his free hand motions at his throat, mimicking the lyrics that somehow sound clear as day through the words of a unified audience - 'not scared of dying'.
"I wouldn't take back one thing I did, one word I said" The bassist carefully works through the last bit of the song, adlibing a little as he walks his way back to the starting point where the empty stand remains. His right hand holds onto it as his eyes close for the final bit, voice turning smooth and quiet one final time as the melody softens, bringing the song to an end. "On god, I'll make you wish you did"
making vocal warmup exercises. shaking and twisting her wrists with one microphone in her right hand. being on standby at the ramp of the staircase leading up to the stage awaiting her stage while another fellow trainee did her gig. her eyes on the bright strobing lights filling the entire venue and the female's low husky voice filling the entire stage. xenia casually bouncing to the beats and melody of the song. as soon as the guitar was whipped out, she couldn't help but to head-bang (read: slightly) along too.
her hands automatically reached up to clap in response to the ending of the song as soon as the lights turned off, her heart already thumping so hard behind her ribcage that it became louder in her eardrums. nervosity ate away at her mentality and soul but she knew she gonna ace this somehow. the stage staff beckoned her to get ready to go up onto the stage and she returned back the response with a nod of her head, pushing her IEMs into her ears while walking up the stairs and onto the platform where an X marked on the floor showing its center. the countdown started in her iems, causing her to bring her mic up to her lips.
"it's for all of you who have always been defeated by what life have thrown at you."
strong bass beats came on, followed by the melodic war cry and xenia bobbed her head to the beats, her body physically swaying to the melody. "Peace! I'm a scissor, I'm all for the peace~", she said huskily, holding up a peace sign near her left cheek rather playfully. "But if you rashly come at me, I’ll peacefully lay you down. Rock, raise our fists up, fists above the head." switching from a peace sign to making a fist, raising her hand over her head, she walked up to the front slightly with a little swagger in her steps. "You undermine me cuz I’m a woman, I Mother Nature beat ya." her fist dropped to her side, wiggling her fingers mid-air as a smug look took over her visage.
she used her spread out hand to fan herself while rolling her eyes slightly. "Paper! Fan your hands, up and down. Now I’m gonna steal all the applause, terror. No need to hide it, awaken your locked up voices." straightening her shoulders and puffing her chest with a shake of her right shoulder, she took a confident stance and rapped the remaining of the verse A. towards the end of verse a, she shifted from the center to the left of the stage, increasing her bass voice for the chorus.
"Give a soul clap, let me get a soul clap
You’re it if you don’t put one out, rock paper scissors
Give a soul clap, let me get a soul clap
You’re it if you don’t put one out, rock paper scissors"
Whilst during the chorus, she even played the game with the audience, smiling brightly at how she won over some and lost with some others. adrenaline shot through her, seeing how the audience simply responded back with the game, causing her to make bigger steps towards the other end of the stage, half dancing and just letting herself go on the way there through verse b.
"Raise up the peace signs, two fingers, a sign of peace
Like taking pix with your friends on vacation
Raise em up, vic victory sign
But if you come at me, my hands are scissors
Good bye paper better choose ya weapon wisely
Fists, our Power, throw em up above your heads
No need to use it, won’t ever throw it
It’s our connection, our hearts are one
The voices of the silenced and the weak
Paper, fan your hands up and down
Gather your hands and pray, pray for everyone’s fortunes
Instead of a fist, let’s shake hands, now everybody clap"
She then moved onto the final chorus, even playing the game as well as not to lose the momentum. Bopping along to the beats and the adrenaline being her main source throughout, she put all her might into the final verse and making her moves bigger than before. "Everyone, come on! sing along to the chorus!" She yelled out to the audience. The collective voices from the spectators combined with her finished the song with the accompanied beat drop of the bass. She let out this forgotten long exhale with a satisfied smile on her countenance, her free hand reaching up to comb through her sweaty front hair to push it backwards. xenia then bowed to the concertgoers at a ninety degrees and did a small wave, returning to the backstage and thanking every stage staff as well as the band who helped with the MR. not forgetting to return the microphone, she hurried to make space for the next performer.
After making sure that everything is ready, the stage's lightings were turned off, saved for one that shine on the standing mic in the middle of the stage. Taking a deep breath, Yue slowly made her way towards the mic as the guitar played the melody, signaling the performance has just started. Her deep voice, which once before made her feel insecure, booming from the speakers. The voice that many people commented didn't match with her rather feminine appearance. Her own voice which she used to hate but now, she took a step forward to beat all of those prejudice and showed people what Zhang Yue could do, even though she might be far from debuting but at least, she hoped, by appearing in the event, people would know her more and could gain more confidence for the future. The song which she wrote herself, showing her resolution to not let those people who talked bad behind her back influenced her decision, which she hope that it could also motivated people who had the same problem as she was. "I'll rise up like a giant. Hold my head a little higher. So don't you doubt me when I'm fighting my lonely nights, Standing tall like a giant Yeah I'll be going higher So don't you doubt me
When I'm down in my lonely fights, I Stand up like a giant"
As the first song came to an end, the lights light back up, showing the band behind her, getting ready to play the second song, which, as sappy as it sounds, she wrote it thinking about her cousin; since without her help, Yue was sure she would be stuck in a hell hole after the loss of her parents. Bonnie & Clyde. They really could be counted as partner in crime. For that, Yue was very thankful but she was never good in saying thank you so this song was a token of gratitude for Stella. The performance was going smoothly until it reached the bridge part. "....They wanna steal our golden crown but all the roads will lead 'em back to us~~~" After hitting the high note, she took her jacket off and threw it aside before grabbing a guitar she prepared earlier and while tuning the guitar, she bopped her head to the music. Once it was set, Yue started to strum the guitar giving more of the rock tune to the song and resuming to sing the song till the end. She gave a good long strum before ending the performance, avoiding to give any smile before all the lighting turned back to normal which was then she bowed towards the audience and returned backstage, feeling happy that she could do such a good performance.
» Valentine's Bash - Shut Up And Groove (Tomo Duet with Maia) «
Although the line-up had been announced, the audience was not aware of what the artists had prepared for the stages. Songs, collaboration group units, and duets were all intended to come as a surprise to the present fans, much like the different sides of themselves some of the idols planned to showcase. Tomo was one such case, with the duet he and Maia had planned being nothing like the music he'd usually put out. No, this was a much softer version of him that would appeal to his soothing vocals. Ditching the black rocker fashion, he opted for a pink loose shirt to match Maia's outfit, which he then tucked into the black skinny jeans. They'd opted for a bit more of a funky vibe than the bassist was used to, but the song was good and stripped away the lovey-dovey theme, instead going for a breakup or even a 'tired of love' mood which he enjoyed. Running a hand through the overgrown hair that had been styled into messy waves, he spotted Maia on the opposite side of the stage surrounded by staff members who prepared her for the performance, only to give off an okay sign to his side once everything was ready. The technicians started them off with the lowered lights, allowing Maia to quickly slide into the small phone booth prop just as the first beats of the song could be heard.
Much like it had for previous stages, once the light melody of the softer song played through the speakers and the female idol was illuminated by the stage lights, the energy was running through the venue at full strength once more. Most of the first part consisted of the girl's lines with Tomo's short adlibs being covered by the backtrack to delay the surprise, and hence, Maia had the stage nearly all to herself, only having to share it with the backup dancers, who despite being quite talented, could not hold a candle to the way Maia held everyone's full attention. That was, until the post-chorus which had the male finally join her on stage. As soon as the fans caught a glimpse of Tomo, the screams and cheering doubled at the excitement due to the unexpected duo. "Shut up and groove, shut up and groove" His voice flows over the soft instrumental as he steps onto the stage, head bobbing to the bass-heavy beat he'd prepared himself, and eyes kept on the floor only to be met with Maia's big smile once he does raise his gaze, his own features mirroring his partner's joy. "Just keep grooving~"
His body naturally fell in with the rhythm of the song, his free hand adding to the routine with his improvised motions that accompanied the lyrics as well as the girl's own moves. When it came to strong routines and choreography, he might not be incredibly talented, but he made up for it with stage presence and confidence that rivaled Maia's, and with each line, the two grew more comfortable on the stage, their chemistry going along perfectly with the song of choice. As the girl's rap part approached once more, he stepped up to her for some curt interactions, the back of his fingers coming up to her cheek only to be brushed off with a smooth motion of her head "I don't have to say it, go away" he can feel the audience getting more and more enticed by the two with each shared gesture and each harmonized word. As the chorus comes to an end he brings himself away from the girl and into a crouched position near the edge of the stage, his voice slipping into a clear and cool tone for the bridge.
"No, baby let me go... I don't need you anymore" There is a playful smirk on his lips as he sings the line straight to his friend, the slightest shake of his head teasing along with the lyrics. Yet, the teasing is quickly turned against him as the beat picks up and once more and he is left alone on the bench that they were meant to take together. For barely a second he thinks Maia might have forgotten the routine, but a glance up at the sly smirk over her lips tells him all he needs to know, and in a matter of seconds her hands are on his knees, allowing herself some space between the spread thighs. The move is bold and Tomo is sure it is stamped all over his face, lips parting slightly in surprise, but he attempts to play it cool and follows his friend's lead. Trying to keep the more casual and relaxed atmosphere transmitted by the vibe of the song, he lets his hands rest over his thighs, allowing only his eyes to linger on the girl's body as she performs the small show not only for him but also for the packed venue, her little dance being showcased in the large screens right behind him. The light touch of the girl's lips against his cheek rips a chuckle from him, though it goes quiet due to the lowered mic and the loudness from the public at the unexpected exchange.
The small grin on his face as the song came to an end was genuine and he was sure Maia could tell the moment her glance landed on him. She had the same confident smile over her features, the slight mischief twinkling in her eyes from her earlier trick. As the last few notes play, he does push himself up from his spot on the bench, instead ending the song behind it and next to the girl, hand carefully circling her body and resting lightly over the fabric that covered the girl's waist. He flashed a bright smile to the camera, accompanied by a quick wink which was promptly displayed on the large stage screens, and just like that, the duet came to an end with what he'd consider a successful performance and a very thrilled audience.
there was nothing that could compare to keeping the crowd all riled up— matter of factly, it felt just like music to maia’s ears, hearing the audience scream their hearts out for more. thankfully so? there was no way that the young performer could let anyone down. oh no, she had to give in to the rampant need to show amplitudes of her love on valentine's day right back, and what better way to do it if not with another special performance accompanied by an even more, special guest?
the stage depicted something straight out of a little sketch; maia putting on her best work with some acting as she made good use of the props that surrounded her. stepping out of a telephone booth and then walking towards a bench beside a lamp post as she kept her eyes on the camera projecting her every move all whilst keeping in character and singing out to everyone that stood by to spectate this playfully supposed story of love.
“whether or not I go home at midnight—
mind your own business, leave me alone.
why are you being like this all of a sudden?
what’s gotten into you?
why are you calling me so late at night?”
she kept it sassy yet cute, the tiniest semblances of a smile on her lips growing as the performance progresses, and more backup dancers that were once made to act out as civilians on set would eventually break out to dance around her. soon, she’d tease everyone she could as she strutted around the stage, commanding each area, but her main person of interest would soon appear— her duet partner, none other than tomo. and boy, was he in for a world of chaos.
“shut up and groove,
just keep groovin’.”
the minute he had appeared on stage, she was unable to keep herself from smiling from ear to ear. feeling overjoyed, knowing how much she truly yearned for a collaboration despite fate choosing otherwise. now, however, she’d gladly let the fellow singer do his thing. keeping her gaze trained upon his every now and then as she would allow their voices to easily mesh into one, going from playfully nudging her shoulder against his, booping the tip of his nose and all before she’d allow comfort to set its course and then?
what was once rehearsed numerous times before, maia had daringly decided to add a little spin of her own.
despite the initial setup requiring both performers to sit on the same bench centered on the stage side by side, soon became the woman pushing tomo to take a seat on his own. and as the music would shift with the dancers backing away, she’d take matters into her hands to provide her dearest friend a lap dance. her hands would spread his thighs so she could undulate her body, nimble touches accentuating the curves of her body as she swayed her hips and took a quick dip to the ground in front of him.
not once would she allow him to touch under all that spotlight, but instead feast on such a plunge of faith much like the audience. strutting her way behind tomo, she then wrapped her arms around him and then quickly pressed a smooch to his cheek before making her way back to his side, beaming with feigned innocence as their performance could soon come to an end with something everyone could take away from as a surprise valentine's day treat.
it all came down to valentine’s day. a time to celebrate nothing but love, love, and more love. maia was all for it, truly having no qualms whatsoever especially when she almost always had so much love to give. but leave it up to her to always switch things up a notch especially if it meant greeting the audience with the element of surprise. for while the stage was a picture perfect scene from a fairytale, stage props elevated to set the mood for the young performer’s enchanting start— as her steps slowly trailed towards the center of her stage and her glossy lips parted for her to sing, out came the lyrics that was only a tell tale for anything but the usual concoction for romance.
“barbie wanna party like all night,
and she looking like a zombie in her off-white. yeah, she looking— yeah,
she looking for a hand out.”
and what was once a choreographed number, backup dancers accentuating her every move from one side of the stage to another soon turned into an all out party of freestyle. maia easily escaping the clutches of poised suffocation as she focused on the audience, essentially going from greetings to posing enough for any camera she could find until her confidence leads her below the stage to get in all close with the support system she knew and loved for better synergy as everyone chimed in for the chorus, word for word.
“you only call me on the weekend,
you only love me when we freakin',
you got me jumpin' off the deep end.”
her heart sang on as a self-coined rendition of triumph, for there would be no grief, or call out whatsoever for her happily ever after— not when she had herself to hang on to, and surely, when she had just enough to keep her going. everyone she knew she needed without the slightest ounce of doubt. and as confetti would shoot out and descend from above by the time maia had made it back on stage, finishing what was left of her number, there was no telling the woman otherwise that her celebration could be cut short. because as she ultimately leaves, all there was, was the unspeakable cravings for more of maia. just as she’d wanted it, being her own saving grace.
(Valentine's Day Bash baby don't stop by NCT U (duet w/ Jie Zhao (Jay))
Meeting up with his hyung he smiled as he had quickly changed into his second outfit, it was still almost all black but with ripped jeans and a shirt that was slightly longer on one side showing part of his stomach. While it was much different that what he was use to wearing he was pretty excited. As he and Jay were called he smiled wishing the other luck as he followed the other to the stage waving at the crowed once more getting into position. He honestly felt much more relaxed with his hyung on stage with him than when he went on earlier alone. While he was still nervous it was not a bad as he had a more confidant look that he had before. The late night practice he knew is should pay off.
Singing his parts when the music played he smiled more listening to the other sing and rap as they danced next to each other doing the moves he was suppose do. Smirking a bit a the crowed as he dance as the other rapped. The other being on stage helped him out a lot, he looked into the crowed as he preformed showing them the different styles that he could do.
it had been a long time coming since reece would be able to finally push something out of his archives. something he just knew he had a full force of faith in to finally let the world have a nab at. but at what cost did it inevitably come to represent everything that he could no longer relate to? ironically standing all on his lonesome for february the 14th, unable to truly empathise with any songs of raw, endearing romance when his song fed his soul in ways he would not imagine possible.
initially it was sheer pride that had the man standing behind a dj booth on the stage, such nimble fingers setting the pace to the tunes he’d mixed together himself one second after the other. each craft a personal embellishment of himself, and soon, to an embarrassingly vulnerable degree now that he was slowly sinking into the mood and eventually singing his heart out to the crowd.
“green greeneye like a palm tree— my body is petrified with emotions. medusa.”
he looked out, only able to sing to the one soul that was no longer there to receive his secret serenade, had he truly cared to admit. the epitome of a man’s one and only muse, now long gone leaving him to dust as his voice carries the audience along with a melodic symphony of supposed sadness disguised in some soothing funk. was it perfect for valentine's day? sure. but it only took one perceptive being to witness that the man was calling out for a loss he never really did see coming. at least, not this soon.
“my heart is already plugged into you and with it, you ran away. fadeaway.”
the crowd, entranced with the spine chilling rhythms of a rolling crescendo, only cheered on for this sight of reece that was anything but of the norm— it was calm to a fault, like a white flag hoisted up in surrendering. although despite the years that came battling with one’s own (multiple) demons, much like this sudden anchor that unknowingly weighed down upon his shoulders, he’d only seek ways to be better. do better.
and so, as his steps trailed away from behind the dj booth, he took a seat by the center of the stage and proceeded on with a guitar solo. stepping away momentarily from his sole image as dox’s drummer, and instead demonstrating just why he was working to be the beloved all rounded artist that he wanted to be. always evolving each and every time. making sure that even until the very moment that the stage lights would disappear on him, he’d put on quite the show, letting all supposed turmoils be bygones just as he ached to practice to perfection.
“yeah, i freaking need her.
— and i’m looking for you,
‘cause i’m lost.”
he did have some sort of reputation to protect after all. and he would let the day of love remind him of that fairly well too.
(Valentine's bash Aikotoba (special version) by Shonen-T (Daehyun's solo)
The thrill of preforming was something he always looked forward to when he was younger while he was on Broadway. Sometimes preferring it over the films he was in due to hearing the reaction of the crowed as he and the rest of the cast told a story in front of them. So getting to be able to go on stage again was getting him pumped up to be honest. He wondered if his dad and his uncles were in the crowed, that was the only scary thing because he didn't want to disappoint himself in front of them. Waiting backstage he looked at his outfit again and leaned on the wall in the waiting room listening to the performers before him. he was impressed by all of them. While it had been awhile since he was on stage himself he never forgot the thrill of being on stage himself. Blinking a bit getting pulled out of his flashback as one of the stage hands told him he was up soon as he thanked the other and heading to the where he was suppose to wait.
Double checking his ear piece and his outfit which consisted of a while shirt and a plaid pink shirt over it with with black jeans. When his name was called a smile graced his face as he made his way up on stage and looked at the crowed bowing slightly to them and waving. "Happy Valentine's day everybody~" As he music started he looked at everyone, a upbeat version of a slowly song started to play. Ai Kotoba or Love Words was the song he had chosen but to add a small twist to the song, making it more upbeat and playful than it was before. He felt himself get into the music and it felt like he had never left the stage and he looked at the crowed as he sang and reached his hand to the crowed before him.
His favorite part of the song was the chorus a song a bout love and how words were sometimes hard to express. Looking into the crowed as he finished the bowing his head both hands over his chest holding the mic as if he is holding a heart. Hearing the sound of the crowed he smiled at the all and bowed again as he did at the start.
. (Valentine's bash - Sparkle by RADWIMPS (Chanshik's solo))
Not having as much stage experience as some of the others, honestlyt this was his first time on the stage, he was quiet nervous to say the least. Dressed in a black sweater and jeans he went on stage and looked at the crowed quietly, while he knew some of the ones in the crowed he didn't know if that made his butterflies worse or better. Watching the ones before him preform he smiled seeing how amazing they were before he was tapped on the back by one of the stage mangers telling he up was up soon as he waited where they told him to. Soon it was his turn as he looked at his outfit fixing it to make sure it looked clean. Taking a deep breath as he made his way on stage walking over to the mic that was ready for him and the chair that was set up for him. Smiling at the crowed he made a heart with his hands. "I really hope you all enjoy this song and remember that wither today or tomorrow love is timeless"
Looking out into the crowed once more he smiled seeing the people he knew before closing his eyes as he heard the music playing from the speaker and from his earpiece. Relaxing, as it started to play he started to sing. The song he learned for this event, for him was soft song something the meant love beyond time, though even then you should still live in the moment. Something he wanted to live by in a way, to live in the moment even if it was hard for him. As the chorus came he saw as the started to dim a bit more as the screen from behind that showed the stars, and a light on him turned into a light blue and got bit brighter. "Words like "tomorrow" or "future" or "fate" No matter how far they extend their hands We breathe, we dream, we raise our love In a timeless land that is far out of reach" He hoped that the song would reach the hearts of the audience.
As the song slowly came to it's end the lights started to go back to normal as he sang the final lines to the song "How I hope to have forever to spend This life, no, all future lives Right here in this world with you" he slowly lowered the mic to his lap as he heard the cheers and clapping of the crowed. Looking at the crowed he bowed slightly he smiled making another heart with his hands before placing the mic back on the stand before getting off the stage with the chair and sighed happily when he was backstage once more.
» Valentine's Bash - Rebel Love Song (Tomo Solo) «
As time passed, the other idols and trainees were being called one by one to take the stage, and a short glance at the song list stuck to the wall right next to the wait room door let the male know his turn was coming up. Making sure his guitar was tuned correctly, he pushed his earphones deep into his ears to play his pick for the solo stage one last time. It was a song that had more of a DOX vibe while still sticking to the Valentine's theme of the show and giving him an opportunity to show off the guitar skills he had switched up for the bass when joining the band. From the time spent backstage, everyone could tell who was feeling the pressure, some more nervous than others, a few more on the excited or even confident side. Tomo stood with the later group. Not only did he want to show a great performance, but he also felt the need to make up for his terrible stage during the summer showcase. With that in mind, he'd picked up the guitar again and gone for a song that allowed him to show that he could solo the chords while giving out strong vocals and good stage presence. It should be obvious he could do it considering he was usually on the bass anyway but he'd somehow managed to prove otherwise last time. Not this time though, he was confident.
As soon as his name was called by one of the stage staff members, he slid his phone along with his earplugs into his bag's pocket and finished his water bottle. He picked up the black denim vest to slip over the band-stamped sleeveless and slid his guitar strap over it before following the woman down the hall and towards the waiting area near the stage. The technicians helped him fix up everything needed and left him to watch the last couple of minutes of the performance before his, though his attention diverted to the loud crowd ahead. Fans of all different styles, here for all different acts. The thunderous cheering brought his eyes back to the stage as the other male proclaimed his gratefulness before heading backstage. As he passed by, Tomo offered a quiet 'good job' and a thumbs up, earning him a short proud smile before he was being tapped on the back and urged on stage just as the lights dimmed and the other instrumentists made their own way towards the back of the stage.
Running the tips of his fingers over the body of the red and black guitar, one of the first ones he'd gotten with the money made from concerts and sales, he let his usual charming smile take over his features, showcased on the big screen behind him as the white and red lights lowered back to the center of the stage. The powerful encouragement of the audience only grew stronger as he screamed onto the mic "Are you ready?" the band immediately picking up at the last word and quickly followed by himself. He the chords through the intro, the loved instrument passing him a sense of familiarity and passion with every tune it pronounced, much like he felt whenever he was up on stage be it on the guitar, mic, or bass. As the vocals got closer, he finally reapproached the front of the stage where the mic was set on a stand, the words echoing along the crowd as his voice accompanied the sound of the band. He sang through the lines, adding in a few extra notes to the guitar melody whenever he had the chance, his confidence escalating with each moment he spent on the stage, the thrill of the performance and audience slowly engulfing him.
As the second chorus came to an end, one of his hands wrapped over the microphone for the short bridge, the other one balled up in a fist and raised over his head to the beat of the song, a gesture that was quickly mimicked by the hyped-up fans. "Wild and running, for one reason, they can't stop us, from our freedom" As soon as the last word left his lips, his fingers fell right back to the strings letting the back vocals take over as he smoothly moved back on the stage, facing the other guitarist for the harmonized solo. The two sailed through it together with ease, deeply lost in the strong melody that pierced through the venue, heads lightly moving to the sound as their fingers fast-paced through the lower part of their guitars' necks. Allowing the other to lengthen the last note, Tomo safely slid his guitar under his right arm so it was hanging over his back instead. Moving to take the mic from the stand and heading to the front of the stage, his hands come together in a request for the audience to follow along. There was only one thing he could complain about singing the entire song while playing, and that was that it took away from his stage freedom, having him stuck to the spot where the mic stand was placed. Being one who enjoyed moving around and getting close to the crowd, he made use of the last moments of the song to fulfill that need of his, singing the last chorus straight to the crowd as he stood over one of the small platforms. Only bringing his guitar back to wrap up the performance with some last few notes, he let them ring out even as the lights dimmed again, a loud 'Thank you' dropped onto the mic just as the band fell silent in favor of the audience's cheer.
has one ever seen such a thing so alluring in its own twisted right? maia would have certainly agreed. in this case, however, she was keen on conquering the stage just to unveil a sight that was unlike any other. like a spider prominent visible in its cobwebs of glory, she’d unleash sensuous wrath onto the audience of the haunted mansion as she rises from the floor with her entourage of dancers surrounding her in an enclosed formation. one that would soon disperse the minute the look on the idol’s face deepened in the urgency to further explore the perimeters where the stage lights shined, guiding her mellifluous path whilst she danced.
her gaze remained strikingly sharp much like the movements her body would be able to carry out. every curvature to her figure naturally emphasised with each fluid sway, twist, and swing she daringly threw herself into. all so long as she could convey the soul-stirring amount of freedom she felt as a performer where the stage would be her personal playground. and the audience— her playthings, permeable to the venom of persuasion maia’s performance carried. every dancer surrounding her would play a big role in synchronisation as a soldier to her reign even for the brief moment she’s able to claim the stage all to herself for a solo number.
not once does she miss out on a single beat, easily keeping up with the vivacious electronic tempo that elevated what movements she would serve. much like a dive into a split amongst many other tricks that put her span of flexibility to the test. with the precision of detail being just as important as the essence of timing, in the blink of an eye, maia is tearing away her first wardrobe of all black into a boastful blood red. immediately would the lights change, the aura shifting onto a secondary level of her illusive prowess. and yet, her energy does not falter but only grows greedier in her stage command until she proves why it is that she deserves to bear the crown.
instead of being significantly for the sole purpose of gloating, it was all to mark down just how far she indeed has come. starting from the bottom and only able to go all the way up, little did maia have any intentions of ending her journey just yet. by the time she’d put a strong finish to her performance, striking a pose as she caught her breath, it was with the immense amount of support she got that the female knew she could always carry on. the stage lights soon dimmed into darkness over her, but even then she knew that nothing could take away from shine. unless it was the need to see even more of what maia could bring. her power would remain all that eerily strong, as ever prominently so on this haunting halloween night.
it had been a little over a long while since reece has ever tasted the glory of a good solo performance. his mind had been clouded with numerous thoughts, most of which ached for a rekindled flame of some sort that still clung on tight within every fibre of his being; the passionate drummer that he knew he still was and could never, ever let anyone forget. surely there couldn’t have been a better way to revive his performative vigour if not with a classic. call it a special collaboration if you will between two notable staples of rock music, but to reece it was only a matter of time. halloween all the more being an absolute fit for such a diabolical release.
as reece sat in darkness behind the drums with both sticks held firmly in his grasp, he’d wait as the platform slowly ascended to the stage at such a great height, but little would this do to strike fear in his eyes. oh no, none of that. for what remained in his orbs of deep stygian were remnants of hunger— to perform and soon, lap up what emptiness there had been without his presence, setting the mood for the grim one to gradually start tearing everything to shreds with his own uniquely placed moderato. surely would this hold everyone in place for what ought to be the most menacing ride of their lives. the flashing stage lights illuminated his every move, and backing audio roared throughout the venue that remained a slave to the rhythm of his choosing much like the decorum of the audience singing along word by word, entranced as the chorus kicked in.
“how did we get here? when i used to know you so well?
yeah, how did we get here? well, i think i know.”
just when it seemed like anyone was permitted a break, recovering slowly from their adrenaline-induced highs, it was only a matter of time before fate would switch up on everyone. little would the reap.r allow for any stage representing dox in any shape or form to go without being unforgettable. worked to the state of passionate perspiration, breath caught on an irregular pace through the furious head banging and sway of his arms equipped with skilful ringed fingers. his digits slowed down but only for a moment to replace his drumsticks with those lit up in flames to join his intense crescendo as he began to play onwards; personally opening the hallowed realm of the underworld just to truly reel every individual back in. for whatever pitiful soul hadn’t been aware of dox nor the reap.r before would now have no choice but to submit to the immense heat that the performance encased.
“there is something i see in you.
it might kill me, i want it to be true.”
engraved would be a sly simper across his lips doused in satisfaction to see just how much he could ultimately bring the haunted house down. he’d put his all into the performance much like any other, his body worn out to the point that he could collapse but for the devils, their fandom, reece would do anything. what truly mattered the most was making sure the impact he’d left behind was something that kept anyone talking for ages— positively having them swept away until the very next stage invasion to come. that there would be all the reap.r could have ever wanted, dare he’d be asking for much at all as he settles down whilst holding a flaming “x” above his head formed with his drumsticks, signing off as per usual where he all at once disappears behind plumes of smoke.

〖 ❛ sᴜᴍᴍᴇʀ sʜᴏᴡᴄᴀsᴇ 2022 ❜ 〗 ⫶ hello again everyone! we've decided to conclude voting early since we've received many poll responses and believe no one else will be voting after this point. please remember that these winners are not solely based on votes from the polls, but are combined with the vote number you received from your dice roll and the votes from making your ic posts in the stage room ( everyone received 10 votes for making very detailed stage posts, good job ! ).
congratulations everyone ! your rewards and badges will be sent out soon, including the participation rewards that everyone will receive regardless of winning or not. please give the showcase event announcement another read if you've forgotten what rewards are being granted. to all the winners, your ceo(s) will discuss the details of your reward in a meeting as soon as possible. just wait for the ceo(s) to tag you when the time comes.
we will also reveal the results of ONLY the voting polls without counting the votes from your dice roll down below. these results are not official winners, but knowing just how much the people loved your performance may help boost your confidence ( and your company will take notice to your stage presence ).
