@❀ takahashi mika ᵐᵃⁿᵃᵍᵉʳ What Mika said resonated with Yiyeon, about the fact that she kept her life a little more private than her peers. She had never once found the need to introduce people into her private lifestyle because she could feel the judgement coming from a million miles away, and besides, she didn't want others to know that she was privileged and born with a golden spoon, especially when she'd been taught that the world was a scary place ever since young, whole complicated family dynamics and stuff. She could count on her fingers how many people she trusted, and of course, the older woman sitting beside her had always taken care of her from a teenager now into a fine woman, and a little dinner like this wasn't enough to show the appreciation that she had for her manager, knowing how busy and stressed she must have been taking care of her plus the other members. With that, Yiyeon simply dismissed Mika's concerns with a smile and a light wave of the hand, voice light-hearted and full of adoration for Mika. "It's alright with me, Mikanee! If you find it a little odd... you can always treat me back in the future! It's just a simple meal, anyway; I'm more interested in having some manager-idol bonding time- no, wait... that's too formal... an unnie and dongsaeng time hehe~ also, I'm a boring person within my private lifestyle haha it's nothing much, really."
@♀ cho yiyeon『ᴊᴀɴɢ ᴡᴏɴʏᴏᴜɴɢ』 Mika felt like a fish out of water. She listened attentively to the younger female while reading the menu once over, nodding at the recommendation. This was definitely quite new to her, a bit overwhelming but fascinating to say the least. She was pulled away from her thoughts as the server had addressed her by surname. "Hmm.. well seeing as it's my first time here and Yiyeon here has been raving about the chateaubriand, she definitely has me intrigued. I suppose I'll have that and in medium rare." She smiled at the male and handed over her menu, thanking him too.
She leaned back on her seat while looking around and out the window for a moment, taking it in as Henry walks away from their room. Mika cleared and chuckled softly, toying with the hem of her dinner napkin. "In the many years I've known you, I think this would be the first time we actually sat down together and I get an exclusive on your private lifestyle." She soon sat up straight and looked over at the younger female, someone she had seen grow up but was still mysterious in some way. Not that there was anything wrong with that, manager and idol relationships weren't entirely deep--Mika knew that despite one important exception. She never pried or looked in too deeply on the personal lives of her girls in respect of their privacy.
"It still feels a bit odd that you're the one treating me out especially being the younger one of us two.." It was predicament, at least to Mika. As mentioned earlier, it was Yiyeon's treat. Perhaps for one night she could let this one slide and just enjoy herself. She definitely owes her maknae one even if Yiyeon would possibly deny it. "Is it really ok with you, Yiyi? I really don't want to impose." She asked with a bit of weariness in her voice.
"Oh, trust me, you surely can! The servings are akin to a tasting menu to ensure that one's stomach has enough capacity of it all~" she answered without a hitch, not wanting the older to worry about anything at all. More small talk was made between her and the driver; as much as she was casual in her tone, there was much respect given for the older man, himself having been with the Cho family even before Yiyeon was born. Including the manager in their conversation as well, not wanting her to feel left out, they soon arrived at their destination, and she thanked her driver as he dropped both of them off at the lobby, her feet leading the way not towards the commercial elevator, but the one usually reserved for private guests, acknowledging the guard to let the both of them through as the lift shuttled then upwards to one of the highest levels of the tower, right in front of the restaurant.
With it being such a renowned place, it was stacked full of people dressed to the nines, though of course Yiyeon would've reserved a table (though it was hours prior) and her usual server, Henry, was there to guide the way, bowing and leading the two of them into a private dining room overseeing the capital's skyline, pretty blinking lights of the skyscrapers donning the entire horizon. Seats pulled out for them both, Yiyeon naturally sat down all prim with proper posture befitting of the establishment, beaming over to her manager who gave a quick glance towards the menu, asking her for recommendations.
"Oh, I highly recommend the chateaubriand for the main, one of the finest korean beef I've ever tasted! How thoroughly cooked do you want it to be, Mikanee? If you'rr getting it, of course. Personally, I'm an advocate for medium rare, but it's up to you, really! Also, I'm taking the liberty to have you get my usual course, unless there's something in particular that you want!" The menu on her side wasn't spared a single glance, simple closing it and handing it back over to the server; "The usual, Miss Cho?", whereby Yiyeon acknowledged with a smile and a nod. The server, too, had tact, adding in his own recommendations atop of Yiyeon's own, providing the older with more choices that may be to her liking.
"How about you, Miss Takahashi? (and of course, Yiyeon would have briefed them on whoever's coming with her, which was why he knew the manager's name.) Like what Miss Cho recommended, it is one of our signature main dishes, but if you prefer something a little lighter, our butter poached dover sole or our braised guinea fowl is great as well."
@♀ cho yiyeon『ᴊᴀɴɢ ᴡᴏɴʏᴏᴜɴɢ』 Mika followed her lead and was utterly impressed, as she usually was. For someone younger, Yiyeon always carried herself well apart from her background. She still had a lot to learn from the looks of it she would probably get by as she was quite cultured. "It's going to be a 10 course meal, nee-chan." Yiyeon's voice pulled Mika away from her thoughts and gulped at the knowledge of this meal being more than the usual meal she'd have. "Ten whole courses huh? I don't think I've gone past four or five, so I do hope I can last until dessert!"
She sat comfortably on her seat and reverted her gaze out the window, admiring the hustle bustle of South Korea at night. She smiled to herself at the way Yiyeon had corresponded with Mr. Kim. Clearly the younger was very well mannered and respectful. Mika had always appreciated that especially with a girl her age. Without even realizing it, they soon arrived at their destination. Her eyes were in awe once again while eyeing up the Lotte Tower, imagining how the view must be like while giving her thanks to Mr. Kim as they stepped out of the car and instinctively leading Yiyeon to the elevators. “I should really learn when to turn off my work mode..” she mumbled while leaning on the see through elevator wall.
It was obvious, she’s been working in Korea for so long but had not explored her second home enough. Once they reached the top floor, the girls were greeted by the hostess who led them to their table that had a gorgeous view of Seoul. The distracted Mika thanked the server that pulled out the seat for her and sat down. A quick glance at the menu had her eyes widen at what was in store for their not so small dinner. It wasn't even that she couldn't afford it, it was just all quite fancy for such a casual hang out but who was she to argue and complain. She looked over at Yiyeon who seemed to already know what she wanted, she on the other hand was quite lost.
@❀ takahashi mika ᵐᵃⁿᵃᵍᵉʳ /the corners of my lips immediately turned upwards at the familiar vehicle approaching, even more so when i spot you exiting, reciprocating the side hug with a rather chirpy voice/
yes, we shall~
/there was a reluctant grab onto the bag before it left my fingers, not wanting to seem too spoilt in front of the driver, but i eventually let you do whatever you want with a small chuckle, getting into the car first, greeting Mr. Kim with a deep bow while waiting for you to get in; once you were ready, the vehicle moves off, making the way towards the location smoothly, the driver naturally engaging in some small talk/
The usual place, Miss Cho?
Yes, of course~ Chef Jung does his dishes so well, right~ it's been a while too since I was busy over the month, and I want my manager-nim to experience it too!

@α ryu hajoon@❀ han kook ᵐᵃⁿᵃᵍᵉʳ "you do realise that jiyoung is not me, right? i'm jiYONG, and don't be rude, call me hyung just like you did when you were a little kid," taeyong shouted back, appearing by hajoon's room with a slight teasing grin on his face. "guess it's just the three of us then." sending a text message to inform the manager that they were actually at their dorm and not the entertainment company building, and that it was easier to meet at the restaurant directly, taeyong then gave a tap to hajoon's shoulder, telling him to get up and get prepared. "we'll take a cab there."
@α tae jiyong『ᴛᴀᴇʏᴏɴɢ』@❀ han kook ᵐᵃⁿᵃᵍᵉʳ after sending a message to their group chat, hajoon remained in bed, pondering over the drifting relationships among the members. he longed for their reunion, especially relying on his hyung, jiyong, for company most days. despite this, he understood everyone had their own priorities and commitments. realizing that ten minutes had gone by, he finally rose from bed, cueing up some music on his phone as he got ready to meet their manager for dinner tonight. "jiyoung, are you getting ready?" he shouted from his room, hoping he'd hear him loud enough.
@α tae jiyong『ᴛᴀᴇʏᴏɴɢ』@α ryu hajoon he was done all his meetings, caught up on all of his emails and had his schedules for the rest of the week planned out. logging of his computer, he then grabbed his backpack, put his coat on and then left his office. it was late evening, and the time that he had appointed to meet a few of the alpha members for dinner. doing his research, he could see why the boy group was domestically and internationally popular, and hoped to get to know the members better; for his benefits and theirs.
getting to the parking lot, he got in his car, started it up and just drove to the front of the entertainment company's main entrance way, putting on his hazard lights to await for jiyong and hajoon.
