ғᴇʟᴀ.ɴɪ: i appreciate the apology, and i’m hoping it’s gen... ɴᴏᴡ
ғᴇʟᴀ.ɴɪ: everything i went through just for you, because ... ɴᴏᴡ
ғᴇʟᴀ.ɴɪ: but that wasn’t enough, you were hurt and i was... ɴᴏᴡ

Instagram? Baek couldn't recall who he could have messaged on there - the handle didn't ring a bell, he only recognized people on Instagram from their profiles or display photos. He had no idea who could have been messaging him until he unlocked his phone and looked at the messages he had sent last week in the middle of the night to his ex. "," He exclaimed as he dropped his phone on desk. "Drunk Andy, you ing mess," He reprimanded his past self. Agh, he was in the middle of working, but his train of thought had been interrupted by this mess, but now was not the time to be distracted. He continued writing up notes for his editor with the thought of his ex in the back of his mind as the read receipt lingered for the next four hours.

"What did I even DM her...?" Baek mused to himself as he curiously opened the messages between him and Lani after submitting half-hearted notes to his editor and cringed reading the messages he sent her previously. "Oh my god, you ing simp-" He choked on his words, embarrassed that he would send the messages that he sent. But if he were honest with himself, he would understand that the twinge of embarrassment he felt was relief that he had finally let himself apologize to Lani, an apology that had been years overdue. Though, he really wished he could have done so in person, rather than over text.

Baek stared at the messages, unsure how to approach them. He wasn't sure if it was appropriate to respond back or to continue the conversation. There were so many words he wanted to say to Lani, but being sober now, it was hard to get any of them out. He spent the next 30 minutes trying to get the words right.
