@☁︎┊lan chanyeol ᵇ Kang relented with a light chuckle, deciding on the banana bread for it did sound quite enticing, after all. “Banana bread it is, then.” he said, nodding with a small smile. He appreciated Chanyeol’s effort to clarify his intentions and reassured him with an easy tone, “Don’t worry, I didn’t take it the wrong way. It’s a thoughtful gesture.”
When the conversation turned to holding the pup, Kang admitted with a sheepish smile. “Yeah, this is my first time.” He sat still as Chanyeol carefully settled the little one into his arms, following his instructions to let the pup squirm until it found a comfortable spot. Sure enough, the tiny creature wriggled a bit before settling snugly against Kang’s chest, nuzzling into him.
A warm smile spread across Kang’s face as he gazed down at the pup. He let out a soft coo, cradling it closer instinctively. “You’re right, he’s adorable.” Kang murmured, his voice filled with genuine awe. It was a moment he hadn’t expected, but one he found surprisingly heartwarming.
@☁︎┊lan kang ᵃ “No, I must pay. You’re using valuable resources and paper too. So please. Let me at least pay.” He was firm with his decision, but soon enough. Chanyeol chuckles. “Alright lets do this. I can pay you in banana pudding and banana bread? Or any meal you want. But, don’t take it as me flirting with you. Just friendly gesture~”
Chanyeol looks at Hyunwoo as the pup yawns, stretching in the betas arms. The beta watches Kang, smiling warmly. “Sitting is what I learned the quickest way to get into the hang of holding a baby.” Chanyeol nods, holding the pup with one arm, cradling the pup on his chest, while fixing the others arms. “There ya go.” Smiling warmly. “First time holding a pup?” Chanyeol teases lightly, stepping closer, he gently settles the pup into Kang’s arms. “He will squirm, but its more so he can get himself comfy. Let him do it, but of course don’t drop him.”
@☁︎┊lan chanyeol ᵇ “No need for that.” Kang replied with a shake of his head. “It’s the least I can do for a colleague.” He offered a gentle smile, his tone reassuring. “ I can definitely take the time to check them for you so you know your scores.”
At the mention of the pup’s nickname, Kang’s smile widened. “Woo sounds adorable.” he agreed, warmth evident in his voice. Following Chanyeol’s suggestion, he carefully took a seat, positioning himself as instructed to hold Hyunwoo. Mimicking the beta’s posture, he extended his arms, ready to receive the tiny bundle. “Like this?” he asked, his expression a mix of curiosity and nervousness. “Why do I suddenly feel nervous?” he mused. Despite his words, there was a glimmer of anticipation in his eyes as he prepared to hold the pup.
@☁︎┊lan kang ᵃ “I- You’d really do that for me? I’d happily pay for the copies so I can try doing it myself? You don’t even have to grade them.. I know you’re busy.” Chanyeol could feel his mind working on a schedule. What could he possibly move around to make time for studying, reviewing, and even taking mini tests. He was excited to start reading and learning a lot.
The beta looks to the professor, smiling warmly. “Well, yes in a way. But he seemed to calm down more at your voice. Its very soothing to the ears.” Chanyeol gently sways the sleeping pup in his arms. Humming a soft lullaby, he lovingly coos at the pup.
Hyunwoo sleepily nibbles on his onesie sleeves, Chanyeol felt happy. “Mhm Hyunwoo~ Woo or Hyunnie.” The beta offered the professor to hold Hyunwoo. “He’s an easy pup after a meal.” Giggling, he slowly stands with Hyunwoo in his arms. “Please have a seat. I learned to hold a baby sitting down first.”
@☁︎┊lan chanyeol ᵇ "Do let me know if you'd like a copy of the tests or exams as well, just for review purposes." Kang added, his tone gentle, accompanied by a faint smile. He admired the Beta’s determination to learn, even amidst the challenges of balancing work and self-improvement.
At the mention of his voice soothing the pup, Kang chuckled softly, shaking his head in modest disbelief. "I think you’re simply very good at calming him." he said, his dark eyes briefly glancing at the now-peaceful little one nestled in Chanyeol’s arms. Kang couldn’t help but be impressed by the natural care and warmth the other exuded.
When Chanyeol introduced the pup as Hyunwoo, pride evident in his voice, Kang echoed the name thoughtfully. "Hyunwoo.." he repeated softly, as if committing it to memory. However, the next moment caught him by surprise. The offer to hold the pup left Kang momentarily stunned, his usual composed demeanor giving way to wide-eyed curiosity. "Oh... may I?" he asked, his voice tinged with hesitation but also a quiet eagerness.
@☁︎┊lan sehun ᵃ The janitor stared blankly until the other finally began to repent. He leaned back on his chair, surveying the scene with an uncanny interest. Baekhyun's lips curled minutely; the sight of the professor hard at work, back bent lowly, was one that was pleasing to the eye.
The wind blew in from the open door, causing Baekhyun to curl himself tighter in his jacket. What a shame, he thought, seeing Sehun shiver without any warmth to protect his upper body. The janitor could have indulged in some tea then.
He started to rid the table of the rubbish, when his movements halted upon hearing incoming footsteps. Baekhyun eyed the professor warily, assessing the latter of potential attacks. A foreign weight was on the collar of his fleece jacket– and it was gone, off his body and onto the professor's. The cold promptly bit at him, goosebumps rising along his arms.
Baekhyun said nothing but allowed the taller to get his gripe in. His duty was done; there was almost nothing left to be said. With an unhurried pace, he collected his tools and moved to snatch the mop that was still in the cocky male's grip. He carried all tools in one arm, holding the cleaning rag in the other palm; casually, he flicked his wrist and slapped the rag to the taller's cheek. "You missed a spot."
Baekhyun sneered at the other before bracing himself to face the onslaught of chilly blasts outside the lecture hall. He would allow his fleece jacket to be used by the pitiful professor. Rolling the mop bucket out the opening, his strides did not break as he called over his shoulder, "Take your damn papers and shut the door after you leave."
@☁︎┊lan kang ᵃ “Just being honest that’s all.” He said with a sincere smile, lovingly looking to the pup he was feeding. Chanyeol hummed a soft lullaby to his feeding pup, gently swaying the little one. His eyes softening, oh how he loved little pups. The warmth this little guy gave made Chanyeol swoon. He looks at the alpha with a small chuckle leaving him.
“Thanks I appreciate it.” The smirk caught him off guard, the red in his cheeks appearing almost immediately. “I-i sorry. I-i’ll make sure to give you the heads up.” Chanyeol chuckles and he pulls the bottle away, soon burping the full pup. He looks at the papers, his eyes widening in surprise. “T-thank you! I’ll study hard.” Chanyeol grins, nodding. “Usually he is very fussy. Guess he loves your voice.” The beta pecks the pups cheek. “This is Hyunwoo. My fussiest of fussy pups.” Saying with pride plastered all over his face. “Would you like to hold him?”
@❀┊jiang wheein ᵒ Kang's expression remained composed as his sharp eyes swept over the chaotic scene of glitter clinging to every imaginable surface. Still, there was a brief flicker of amusement that he tried to keep in check, especially when the other quipped about the “shiny” state of her office. "Shiny is one word for it." he replied dryly, though the faintest smirk tugged at his lips before he resumed his task.
Listening to her explanation and the mention of condoms, Kang’s brow quirked ever so slightly, though he said nothing at first. Instead, he methodically swept the glitter into a small, growing pile, his movements precise and unhurried. "You shouldn’t take this to heart, Professor." Kang finally said, his tone firm but reassuring as he straightened to look at her. "This isn’t a reflection of you or your teaching. If anything, it speaks to a lack of maturity on their part." His gaze shifted briefly to the garbage can she was filling, an almost comical mix of glitter and discarded prank items and he shook his head lightly, a faint sigh escaping him. "Students can sometimes test boundaries, but it’s not your responsibility to carry the weight of their misbehavior. You’re clearly doing your part as an educator. it's they who need to learn respect." He continued sweeping, the repetitive motion steadying his thoughts. "And it’s good you’re holding firm on their grades, though. If they think a stunt like this will earn them an A+, then they’re in for a rude awakening." Kang looked up at her once again, a glimmer of something softer behind his otherwise stoic demeanor. "And you don’t need to clean this alone. I’d say you’ve already done enough for the day." His words weren’t extravagant, but with him helping without hesitation spoke volumes. It was his quiet way of offering support, ensuring she wouldn’t feel alone in handling the situation.
@☘︎┊nie baekhyun ᵒ ' what word?' the younger male asked, his tone dripping with playful defiance as he glanced up at baekhyun. the smug expression on baekhyun’s face only ignited something sharp and restless in him, stirring a challenge he couldn’t resist.
despite the charged air between them, sehun turned his attention back to the task at hand, diligently scrubbing the floor until it gleamed with pristine perfection. his movements were methodical, but the cold started to creep in, making him shiver. without a second thought, he stepped behind baekhyun, tugged his jacket off the older male’s shoulders, and slipped it on.
' next time we meet,' sehun murmured, his voice dropping low as he leaned in close, his lips brushing the shell of baekhyun’s ear, ' I’ll make sure you pay. '
the deliberate intimacy of his words sent a ripple of tension through the air, but sehun straightened quickly, a sly smirk playing on his lips as he returned to his task. with his back turned to baekhyun, his mind churned with ideas - plans to turn the tables and make the ever-smug janitor pay in ways he wouldn’t see coming.
for now, though, baekhyun had won this round. but sehun was never one to back down, and next time, the game would be his to control.
@☁︎┊lan sehun ᵃ He ignored the other's bait, barely giving him a glance as he tapped his finger languidly on the wooden desk. "Print it all you want. Make sure to add in, front and center, a photo of me dunking your face into the mop bucket." The steady and easy rhythm of it hid the annoyance growing underneath. Every minute he spent in Sehun's presence was a minute wasted. Hearing no swish of the mophead against the floor, the janitor cocked his chin at the professor, narrowing his left eye. The sharp rap of fingernail on the wooden surface ceased. "Are you going back on your word, Lan Sehun?"

@☼┊wen hyunjin ᵒ Class was boring. He knew all this already. His gen-eds were mind-numbing; he hated being lectured on stuff he already knew, he hated when people interrupted the teacher's droning with a stupid question, usually one that would make them repeat what had been said not even five minutes before. The suppressants made it pretty easy to zone out during them, let the teacher's voice trail off into indistinct, muffled sentences. His eyes were always wide and unfocused, and he was always completely still other than the slow, methodical tap of the eraser side of his pencil against paper. Or the clicker part of the pen, if he was out a pencil. He was good at acting like he was listening, though. In the muffled nonsense, he'd learned what his name sounded like, and he would tune in to answer questions asked of him before immediately zoning out again.
This day was like any other. The bell didn't even bring him back to earth this time, but the sight of someone in front of him, and the familiar scent mixed with equally familiar cologne. He blinked, his rhythmic, silent, tapping pausing as he looked up at his visitor.
"Hyunjin," he said flatly.
Not that he wasn't happy to see him. He enjoyed seeing the youngest of the Wen heirs. Namely because he knew what it meant. They didn't associate except for when the younger needed... well, to let loose. It had started as honest to the gods tutoring, but... He forgot who had made the first move, but nevertheless, the scene they made just for themselves in the library would play in his mind almost nightly everyday since it happened.
But then again, that may just mean he was obsessed, maybe even a little unhealthily. He had one of the prospective heirs of their pack coming back pretty frequently just to have some fun... Could you blame him? He was pretty, he was warm, he was dominant, he was always wet, he was nobility, essentially. He was everything good, he was a dream. At least, to touch and to look at. The only thing he wasn't, was Juyeon's and Juyeon's alone. Why would he ever be, but the obsessive part of him felt the ache in his teeth every time the other was around, this time being no exception.
"There's no one here, you can drop the act," he added, his gaze unwaveringly pointed at the slight curve of the other's waist even as he stood and walked to the door to lock it. "You want to right here I assume," Juyeon's voice lowered, and he dragged a hand over Hyunjin's stomach before he sat back down in his chair.
@☘︎┊nie baekhyun ᵒ sehun’s icy blue eyes flicked upward, locking onto baekhyun’s with a cold intensity. the janitor’s incessant mocking had finally struck a nerve, and sehun fought to maintain his composure. he was no stranger to conflict -his rogue days had taught him plenty - but hurting an omega, no matter how provocative, was never in his nature.
he wasn’t raised to stoop that low, even if his past whispered otherwise.
he glanced down at his neatly folded shirt, now sullied, and sighed. his mind was already replaying the countless times he’d scrubbed it clean, hands raw and aching until it gleamed white again. this shirt wasn’t just fabric; it was a symbol of his control, his effort to stay untainted in a world that often tried to stain him.
the mop clattered to the floor, yanking him from his thoughts. sehun’s gaze fell to the tool, then back to baekhyun, who clearly expected him to pick it up. standing half- in the cold air of the classroom, sehun’s skin prickled with goosebumps. he raised an eyebrow, his anger melting into a sly smirk.
' the ?' he asked, voice laced with amusement now. ' you expect me to clean like this? ? why, baekhyun - are you a ? ' his lips curled into a teasing grin, the tension in the room shifting. ' nie baekhyun, the infamous . should we print that in tomorrow’s news? ' he took a deliberate step forward, clutching the mop dramatically. ' or…what is this? you want a show? '
he leaned on the mop for effect, watching as baekhyun plopped into the chair, clearly taken aback by the sudden reversal. sehun’s laugh was low and rich as he continued to toy with him, fully enjoying the unexpected shift in power.
@☁︎┊lan sehun ᵃ Feeling smug about his retort, Baekhyun was caught offguard, his breath stuck in his throat as his arms were forcefully twisted back. The mop's clatter onto the ground was the only sound heard in that pause, before Sehun breached the silence with his threat. Hairs on the back of the janitor's neck rose, yet he felt more repulsed than anything. Baekhyun growled back in the same intensity as the alpha. " off with your Lan rules. I am not bound by them; you are."
He let out a huff and stumbled when pushed away, grabbing onto the desk in support. Baekhyun whirled around sharply, his uncovered eye immediately latching onto the absurd sight of the general on his knees over his dirtied, expensive garment. The janitor barked out a mocking laugh. The scene pissed him off. "I have no regard for your apology, especially when you act like a child, crying over pretentious, overpriced items. No, i want you to clean up your damn mess."
The dried muddy footprints, crumbles of soil and dirt on the table, and disorganized lecture hall in general laid around them in evidence. Baekhyun wasn't going to let the matter go so easily, not when it had happened countless times. He had to ingrain the concept of cleanliness such that the other didn't apologize yet repeat the same actions. He paused by the mop. With a practiced kick, the janitor used his foot to hurl up the stick, catching it in one palm.
"Show me the Lans are as honourable as they claim to be." He tossed the mop to Sehun. Walking over to the neglected chair, Baekhyun picked it up — righting his wrong — and sat on it, crossing his arms expectantly. 2A Lecture Theatre would be sparkling by the time the Lan wolf was done.
@❀┊jiang jia ᵒ lan younghoon was a curious mix of tradition and individuality. clad in elegant, traditional clothing, his striking platinum blond hair made him impossible to miss in any crowd. a true lan to the core, he carried himself with the poise and righteousness expected of his lineage, and his sharp intellect was undeniable.
but what set younghoon apart most was his unyielding passion for biology. as a child, he spent countless hours poring over the massive library at his family estate, devouring every text penned by the esteemed lan scientists. by the time he left home, he could recite those books almost by heart, always yearning for more.
when he enrolled at fenrir academy, his decision to study biology was instinctive, driven by a hunger for deeper knowledge. on the surface, he appeared calm, but beneath that composed exterior was a fire of anticipation, eager to uncover new wonders in the field.
that fire dimmed quickly. the first lecture left him disheartened - his expectations clashed with the reality of professor jia’s teaching. younghoon, never one to hold his tongue, approached her after class, armed with books and unwavering confidence. he systematically dismantled several of her claims, backing each correction with meticulous citations.
it wasn’t the kind of interaction most professors welcomed. and certainly not one professor jia would forget, or so he thought.
but lan younghoon had never let fear of stepping on toes deter him.
fast forward to the present day, and younghoon had taken a step toward his future by signing up as a substitute teacher - a prestigious opportunity offered to promising sixth years to prepare them for their days as university professors. yet, despite his confidence in the subject, the logistics of teaching still eluded him. for one, the biology class had changed its location, leaving him standing in the corridor with a crumpled paper in hand and a confused expression on his otherwise composed face.
scratching the back of his neck, he scanned the hall until his gaze landed on a familiar figure - professor jia. her presence was unmistakable, a sharp reminder of their earlier clashes. gathering himself, he smoothed his jacket and approached with the practiced politeness expected of a lan.
' good day, professor, ' he greeted, bowing his head with impeccable respect, his icy eyes meeting hers briefly before shifting away. the formalities were flawless, but there was no mistaking the underlying hint of tension as he prepared to ask for directions.
@☼┊wen jihyo ᵇ jaehyun vividly recalled the first time jihyo stepped into his classroom. she wasn’t one of his students, but her reputation preceded her - a prodigy beta who turned heads with her intellect and curiosity. her name had come up more than once in the staff room, spoken with admiration by her professors.
young, brilliant, and inquisitive, jaehyun thought. the perfect recipe for someone who could ignite his passion for teaching.
he remembered their first encounter like it was yesterday: she had approached him after a lecture, tentative but determined, with a notebook clutched to her chest and a spark of curiosity in her eyes. her shy but thoughtful questions had pulled him into a world of endless possibilities, their discussions growing from brief exchanges to something he now looked forward to every week.
their weekly meetings became a ritual, an hour set aside exclusively for their shared fascination with foraging and ecology. and today was no exception. fressed crisply in a white dress shirt and black pants, jaehyun was leaning over an open book when the familiar sound of footsteps stirred him. he glanced up to see jihyo standing in the doorway, her eyes eager, her presence lighting up the room like clockwork.
a smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he closed the book, moving it aside. ' ah, miss jihyo, 'he said warmly, gesturing to the chair beside his desk. ' punctual as ever. your questions never fail to challenge me - they’ve sparked a new kind of enthusiasm in my own research. '
standing, he retrieved another chair, placing it beside his table with care. 'come, sit. I’ve discovered something fascinating just yesterday. did you know that fungi can talk to each other using electrical signals?' he pointed at the book, ' recent studies suggest that fungal networks, known as mycelium, can transmit electrical impulses that resemble communication patterns, similar to how neurons work in the brain. some scientists even liken these networks to a wood wide web because they allow trees and plants to share nutrients, warn each other about dangers, and even exchange chemical signals underground.' his voice trailed off, his eyes gleaming with excitement, the start of yet another deep dive into the natural wonders they both adored.
@☁︎┊lan younghoon ᵃ ╰┈➤ Flashback To a Few Years · · ·
Jia stood just outside her classroom, her posture poised almost statuesque, yet the slight tension in her shoulders betrayed the impatience simmering just beneath the surface. Her eyes scanned the nearly empty hallway before darting back to the documents in her hands. Lan Younghoon. The name stood out on the paper, clean and precise. A young alpha, three years her junior, stepping into the world of teaching. His resume was impeccable, but it didn't put her at ease. Instead, it twisted something in her gut, a faint unease that she couldn't quite shake.
She exhaled, her breath barely more than a whisper, as her gaze on her wrist watch. *Maybe lost?* she wondered, though the idea of him wandering around somewhere in this building felt more like a distant hope than a reality. She shifted her weight, her heels clicking sharply on the polished floor as if to remind the empty corridor of her presence.
It wasn't like her to feel unsettled. She prided herself on staying composed no matter the circumstance but the idea of another person scrutinizing her teaching— the very thing she had spent years refining— made her skin crawl. She couldn't bear the thought of being reduced to something to be judged, observed. The headmaster's words echoed in her mind like an unwelcome refrain.
"It's best for the substitute to see your approach firsthand."
His voice had been steady, insistent as if she needed more eyes on her, more opinions. The thought made her skin prickle.
Her fingers tightened around the stack of papers, her knuckles pale against the crisp white edges. She took a slow breath, trying to steady herself, but it didn't quite work. The longer she stood there, the more the tension coiled in her chest, spreading like a vine through her thoughts.
She exhaled a breath she didn't realize she had been holding, forcing herself to stand taller, straighten her spine. She couldn't let this discomfort show— not now, not when she was supposed to be the one in control. The headmaster's words, the conference within few days, the waiting— everything felt like a weight pressing on her chest but for now, she could only wait for the male to appear.
@☘︎┊nie jaehyun ᵃ when it came to her education, wen jihyo approached it with an intense enthusiasm that bordered on obsession. she was the type of student who meticulously rewrote her detailed notes—not once, but twice—and eagerly raised her hand at every opportunity, keen to respond to any question her professors posed to the class. while her behavior appeared to be overzealous to some, she had her reasons. her time at fenrir academy wasn't merely an opportunity—it was an obligation she felt bound to fulfill, both for her own future and that of her mother.
in her relentless pursuit of knowledge, jihyo took every chance to absorb all that the academy had to offer. one discipline she had keen interest in exploring was foraging and ecology. understanding how to navigate and thrive in unfamiliar terrains, she believed, could prove indispensable depending on how things played out after her graduation.
fortunately, her enthusiasm was met with understanding by the foraging and ecology professor, who patiently answered her question about identifying edible mushrooms. she had taken his openness as an invitation to delve deeper into his expertise.
with a determined glint in her eyes, jihyo entered the classroom. she approached the desk where the professor was seated. “good afternoon, professor jaehyun,” she began, her tone warm but purposeful. “thanks for addressing my question the other day. if you have a moment, i’d be grateful if you could indulge me with another.”
@☁︎┊lan kang ᵃ Wheein’s eyes were shining, lips curled into an amused grin as she watched the professor’s expression change when he saw the glitter sticking onto her desk, floor and walls. “Very... shiny isn’t it?” the woman let out, reaching for a few wipes yo clean the surfaces with, manicured hands curling around the fabric. “Well, I’m not sure if I would define myself as patient as that was exactly the opposite of how I had reacted earlier, but thank you for the compliment. I suppose I’ll take it after trying to clean this for hours already. Weren’t the condoms supposed to be enough?” The omega let out a small sigh as well and noticed Professor Kang getting a broom and soon beginning his sweeping. “I appreciate you helping me, Mr. Kang.” Wheein walked to her garbage can to put the dirty wipes in, her can already filled with some glitter from earlier and condoms that had been stapled on the door. “If that is student’s ways of thinking that they’ll get an A +, they are wrong. I usually get good and calm students, so this surprises me.”
@❀┊jiang wheein ᵒ Kang followed the other to her office, mildly curious about the extent of the damage. Surely, it couldn’t be that bad, he thought, but not until he saw it for himself. Glitter sparkled chaotically across every surface, clinging stubbornly to the walls, desk, and even the carpet. His brows raised slightly as he surveyed the scene, a mix of surprise and disbelief flickering in his expression. The sheer extent of the prank was beyond anything he’d expected. "You have remarkable patience." he remarked, casting the female professor a look tinged with both admiration and incredulity. "Dealing with something like this... repeatedly, no less, is no small feat." Kang then let out a small sigh, his gaze sweeping over the room again. Without another word, he walked to the corner where the cleaning supplies were. Picking up a broom and dustpan, he began methodically sweeping up the glitter with quiet determination.
@☁︎┊lan kang ᵃ after their conversation in the staff room, wheein lead the other professor to her office that was now painted with messy glitter because of the trick that one or many of her students had pulled on her. “here we are~” she said with a chuckle and a disapproving shake of her head. “messy, isn’t it?” she added and rested her hands against her hips.
lan younghoon never considered himself a man of fortune. if anything, his life was a mockery of the very concept. betrothed to someone he could barely tolerate, let alone like, and now that same person seemed hell-bent on tarnishing his most prized possession: his pristine reputation.
the day had already been grating. he was rummaging through the university library for advanced biology books, hoping to craft innovative material as a substitute teacher for miss jia’s class. but fate, ever cruel, had different plans. his quest for academic inspiration led him to stumble upon a sight that sent his blood boiling - minjeong, his so-called fiancé, entangled in an indecent moment with wen jungkook at the back of the library.
it was the last straw.
without a second thought, younghoon stormed toward them, dragging minjeong away by the wrist before she could protest. he snatched up her scattered belongings, his grip firm but controlled, and practically shoved her into the nearest empty classroom. the door slammed shut behind them with a resonant thud.
lan younghoon was the epitome of control - measured and composed - but right now, his patience was thinner than a thread. his sharp features twisted into a mask of restrained fury as he turned to face her. ' are you out of your mind?' he hissed, his fingers raking through his platinum blonde hair, leaving it slightly disheveled - a rare crack in his usual polished image.
' do you have any idea what they’re saying about you?' his voice cut through the silence like a blade, low and sharp with barely contained anger. ' if you don’t care about your reputation, fine. that’s your choice. dut don’t you dare drag my name down with you. '
he leaned over her, their faces now dangerously close, the tension palpable. his piercing gaze locked onto hers, his finger pointing at her with the precision of an arrow aimed at its target. ' do you understand me, minjeong?'
@☁︎┊lan chanyeol ᵇ “You’re flattering me.” Kang replied, his voice even but tinged with modesty, clearly not one to linger on praise. Still, he was inwardly pleased that Chanyeol found the lecture both engaging and understandable. His gaze shifted briefly to the pup nestled in the sling, softening slightly at the serene sight of the little one feeding.
“As I mentioned before, you’re always welcome to join my class.” he added, tilting his head in Chanyeol’s direction, his expression as composed as ever. “Though...” he continued with a faint smirk, “a heads up would have been appreciated.” His tone carried no malice, only a gentle reminder. Reaching into his bag, Kang pulled out a stapled stack of papers and set them down on the desk in front of Chanyeol. “I distribute my lecture slides in advance to help with note taking.” he explained, tapping the top of the stack lightly before straightening. “Consider these a head start for next time. And as for the little one..” his eyes flicked back to the pup, “he seems well behaved. Let’s hope he keeps it up.” He said with a soft smile, sliding his free hand into the pocket of his trousers, his gaze shifted back to the pup with a hint of curiosity flickering in his otherwise composed expression. "What's his name?".
@☁︎┊lan kang ᵃ The lecture really intrigued Chanyeol, something about the way Professor Kang taught really drew him in. Although he couldn’t write any notes or draw examples, his mind was working a million miles per hour. The beta felt eyes on him, offering Kang a warm smile, nuzzling the sleeping pup to ensure he slept. Once the lecture was over, almost on cue, the pup started cooing, Chanyeol grabbed his nursery bag, soon feeding the pup a bottle of milk.
At the question, he smiles. “Very informative, well structured. Even a dummy like myself understood. Makes me wanna visit your class more.” He chuckles, humming while he fed the little one. His eyes sparkling woth a pure love for the young pups he tended to, soon looking over to the professor. “Wish I could have taken more notes. Thank you for not kicking us out. He’s usually a calm pup.”
@☁︎┊lan chanyeol ᵇ The remainder of the lecture unfolded seamlessly, though Kang's gaze would occasionally flicker toward Chanyeol and the small bundle nestled against his chest. It wasn’t out of annoyance but rather a quiet attentiveness, ensuring the pup’s cooing wouldn’t escalate into anything disruptive. When the lecture concluded, Kang dismissed the students with his usual calm authority, watching them trickle out of the room. He then began gathering his materials, sliding his lecture notes into his bag before his voice broke the relative silence of the nearly empty classroom.
“How did you find the class?” Kang asked, his tone polite yet curious, his attention still focused on his belongings. It wasn’t until he zipped up his bag that he turned his gaze fully towards the other, his piercing eyes softening slightly. “I trust it was informative?” He tilted his head slightly, genuinely interested in the other's thoughts.
@☁︎┊lan younghoon ᵃ “when will you admit that you're a voyeur?” is the first thing she asks him while she fusses over her bruised wrist; redness dots on her pale skin as she sits upon a dingy table that had never served its purpose for more than a decade now— much like the entire room. an old, depressing thing. left to rot, forgotten, chairs strewn all over the floors, walls vandalized by delinquent students that had nothing better to do but to write incriminating words to their mortal enemy.
for now, it stood witness to another display of vehemence— lan younghoon eyeing down her state of dress: sweat soaked, make up smudged, and still smelling like wen jungkook's stench. a stranger would never assume that they're betrothed since they were kids. “the least you could do is to tell me that you liked the show.” she's teasing him now, yet her words come out like sandpaper on skin— biting.
@☁︎┊lan kang ᵃ The fact that he was able to sit in on one of the lessons made Chanyeol feel like he could actually learn something. The teaching style really yhe beta in. He wanted to learn more from Kang. His eyes softening when a few students answered questions when asked.
Taking notes, Chanyeol blinks when he hears the soft cooing from his pup. His ears and face now a reddish hue, looking to Professor Kang, those eyes. Others would cower, Chanyeol? Oh he melted. Blushing even more, he releases hs scent to soothe the squirming pup. Gently patting the pups bum, lulling him back to sleep. Soon he decided to just sit back and watch, no more notes. He needed to keep his jands on the pup.
@☁︎┊lan chanyeol ᵇ Kang stood at the front of the class, his voice steady as he introduced the basics of Anatomy to the gathered students. His sharp eyes briefly caught Chanyeol slipping quietly into the room and sitting at the back. Kang didn’t pay him much attention at first. After all, he had told Chanyeol he was welcome to sit in on the class whenever he wanted, though a little notice would’ve been appreciated.
The lecture proceeded without interruption as Kang explained the skeletal system in detail. However, a soft cooing sound broke the quiet concentration of the room. The professor paused mid sentence, his gaze sweeping toward the back where Chanyeol sat. Then Kang noticed the small bundle strapped to Chanyeol’s chest, the pup he was caring for, now stirring softly in its sleep. Kang’s sharp eyes rested on Chanyeol for a moment, his expression calm but firm, silently reminding him to keep the noise to a minimum before resuming his explanation, seamlessly picking up where he left off.
@☘︎┊nie baekhyun ᵒ sehun's eyes widened in horror as he watched the male casually toss a dirty mop onto his immaculate white dress shirt. the audacity! his pristine dior shirt now bore the indignity of filthy mop water, and to make matters worse, the offender had the nerve to throw it back at him, mocking him in the process.
a flicker of rage crossed sehun's face, his patience stretched thin. he wasn’t one to lose control easily, but when he did, it was catastrophic. memories of a military camp incident flashed in his mind - the day he'd nearly suffocated a general with his deoxygenation ability for a mere insult. sehun’s jaw clenched as he stepped closer, his calm demeanor unraveling.
' you really do have a death wish, ' he said, his voice low and menacing. In an instant, he closed the distance between them, his hand snapping out to grab the male by the wrist. with a calculated twist, he pinned both of the other's hands behind his back, his strength and precision leaving no room for resistance.
sehun leaned in, his breath warm against baekhyun's ear. ' don’t forget who you’re messing with, ' he growled, his tone a dangerous mix of authority and frustration. ' i’ll apologize for the mess I made, but mocking lan principles like this? that, I won’t tolerate.' his voice was cold, each word carefully sharpened like a blade.
with a firm push, sehun released baekhyun. then, as if the entire encounter had been paused for dramatic effect, sehun knelt before his soiled shirt, his expression morphing into one of utter despair. he cradled the garment as if it were a fallen comrade. 'my dior shirt...' he whispered mournfully, his voice thick with sorrow. it was a moment of tragic irony - sehun, the powerful protector of gusu lan, brought to his knees by a ruined piece of couture.
@☁︎┊lan sehun ᵃ He observed in silence the moment the mophead made contact with Sehun's dress shirt, taking the time to appreciate the other's horrified look that was coupled with a gaping mouth. The blooming wet stain matched Baekhyun's growing amusement, although the only thing he showed of it was the twinkle in his uncovered eye.
Baekhyun had definitely struck a nerve. Cocking his brow derisively, he made no move as the other undressed, flooding the atmosphere with his muted rage. It was a blatant show of power, an act to fill the smaller with fear; yet, instead, Baekhyun found himself noting that that was what it took to finally rile up the general. If only Sehun held the same attitude towards his surroundings.
Holding the professor's stare, the janitor swatted at the incoming ball of fabric towards the ground and promptly placed the used mophead onto it. It was a petty move, but one Baekhyun would take to get his point across. "Come on, maaaaaan," he dragged out mockingly. "I thought we were friends?"
Sehun's increased ire and overwhelming presence struck at Baekhyun in full force after his smart remark, causing the latter to unwillingly take a couple steps back. He tilted his head, deciding they were on even ground. An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth. He placed both hands on the mop. With a quick flick of his wrists, Baekhyun batted the 'clean' laundry back at Sehun, the water droplets from the mophead flicking into the air. "Soaked it just for you. Anything else you need me to wash?"
