❝ THE CONCEPT .ᐟ
Mating is a profoundly serious and sacred bond in the wolf world. A mate is more than a partner; they are another soul—a perfect complement to one's own. This commitment transcends the human form, uniting wolves in a lifelong connection. Whether a bond is destined or chosen, one truth remains unwavering: a mate is for life.In this universe, the bond between mates is absolute.
When a mate dies or departs (the roleplay), the surviving wolf often succumbs to heartbreak. However, even if they survive, they can never take another mate, as their body physically rejects the possibility. A wolf is meant for one mate, and one mate only, for life. This eternal bond is marked by a bite that leaves an indelible mark—a lasting symbol of their connection.
– If your partner leaves:
However, since characters cannot die in this universe, you can incorporate into your backstory that your wolf experienced profound heartbreak and was gravely unwell for a long time after their mate's departure. You can decide whether to attribute this to the mate leaving, rejecting them, or passing away (if your roleplay partner has exited the storyline).
– Telepathic bond:
Mates can share a private telepathic bond in their wolf forms, but not in their human forms. They can communicate telepathically and experience each other's emotions—happiness, sadness, fear, and pain. If one mate is injured, the other feels the pain as well, but no physical changes occur. For example, if one mate is bitten, the injury will not magically appear on the other mate's body.
❝ RULES .ᐟ
– Ceremony:
Mating rituals vary across packs, each honoring traditions passed down through generations. In this universe, we deeply value these customs, and each pack's unique practices can be explored in their respective rooms.
– Bite marks:
However, one element is common to all: at the conclusion of the ceremony, both mates bite each other in a chosen location on their bodies. The placement of the bite must be the same for both wolves, symbolizing their unity.
– Locations:
In the Perimeter Room grouping, you can find the designated rooms for the ceremony. Roleplaying the ceremony is mandatory, but how elaborate or simple you choose to make it is entirely up to you. Please, make sure the ceremony is in the style of your pack!
The available rooms—Chapel, Lake, Cave, and Cliff—are marked with letters to indicate which pack each belongs to:
✖ L for Lan
✖ N for Nie
✖ J for Jiang
✖ W for Wen
– Mandatory:
As you plan out the ceremony, please remember to tag all the admins so we can keep an accurate record of mates. And as you write the plot, DO NOT FORGET to add that the leader is hosting it. If you or your partner are changing packs (the submissive/wife must take the dominant's/husband's last name), please inform the admins. Note that while the surname changes to reflect the pack, both individuals will retain their original powers.
