☆ Coffee Shop

@☆ Sunkyu Startled from my thoughts when suddenly someone takes a seat in front of me, I blink as the girl introduces herself, looking down at the extended hand before registering in my mind. "Ah, hello." Extends my own hand out and shakes "I'm Kyungsoo." Smiles timidly, before pulling my hand back to my tea and taking a sip. Looking the girl up and down, she didn't seem like she was trying to sell me something, but it seemed a little odd. Why did she come and sit down here in front of me, of all people? My thoughts raced as I stared at her, abit awkwardly as I said nothing.

-walk into the shop and orders a small herbal tea with stuffed bread. Once finished ordering and receiving food & tea, heads over to a window seat, taking a good look outside before starting to eat my bread-
Hmm... what should I make today....
-drifts off into thought as tons of recipes fly through my mind, lips curving upwards when I start thinking about seafood-
Some kind of clam or mussle dish sounds so good now... I should get fresh ingredients today.
-nods in determination after thinking outloud, takes a sip of my tea amd looking outside again, a content smile on my face-

@♆ Baekhyun Who could have thought, Chanyeol would be working alone this day. He is rather not impressed from the two consecutive calls he received the moment he decided to open up the cafe, one moment the other barista who luckily is one of his close friends was on the other line explaining how she had been cheated on and didn’t have an energy to work yet Chanyeol had to put up with all her _____s intend of actually getting on with the work, and the next moment he’d be receiving a text from the other. Now that remains a suspicion, he’d be dealing with them two. But the main focus are not them, he had far more things to worry about. The shop for example, Chanyeol went back to stacking the cups just underneath the counter and the sound of the door opened alarmed him. His body felt like it had been fully energised as he jumped up from his crouching position, “yes sir, how can I help?” he gleefully asked the rather confused looking man as he didn’t quite catch what the other being had said.

@☆ Chanyeol After several days of getting used to his new set of legs, Baekhyun decided to do some exploring on his own. His first stop was to try some of the things humans usually eat or drink; the curiosity of how different it would be to that of what they have back in his home. With a determined look on his face, the merman-turned-human made his way inside the cafe in hopes of trying something new and hopefully enjoying it. However, the names of the beverages they served in the cozy cafe were so strange and foreign to the confused male. Espresso? Americano? Frappaccino? What were these names the humans were calling their beverages. Or where they food? Walking up to the counter, now a bit more hesitant, Baekhyun waited to get the barista's attention. He tested the words under his breath, wondering just how to pronounce them. "Es...press..o?" the word felt foreign on his tongue as he furrowed his brows together, hoping he had said it right and didn't make a fool of himself in front of the humans, though, he didn't forget to add a "please" at the end.

The sound of an old grandfather's clock ticking was the only one to be heard in this quiet atmosphere. It's silence was almost too deafening, Chanyeol had just finished brewing his favourite, expresso. 'Here comes another long day' he signed sipping on the freshly brewed coffee. Holding onto the tiny cup, Chanyeol walked toward the door and displayed the 'we are open' sign on the door.
