@❛ soojin seo。 Jungkook knew fully well what he was diving into when the ink dried on the contract, when he had signed up for a job that he knew would spread him so thin he'd feel overworked and overwhelmed at times. Except, perhaps it was the fact that body art was cathartic for him. It gave him an out, a medium to release frustrations and stress that otherwise would have manifested in self-destructive habits. Health was of paramount importance, he knew after having a particularly inopportune run-in with fainting episodes in the first year of university. It might have been because of his inability to discern his priorities based on utmost importance, but since then Jungkook has matured enough to be able to earn for himself and progress with his studies. And date cute girls. "I know it isn't." Hearing the words 'I'm fine' often strikes skepticism in himself as well, the words so monotonous and obligatory at times. Yet it's all he can say, because he truly feels fine. Tired, weary at times, but fine. He closes his eyes for the brief moments that her soft palm comes in contact with his cheek, reveling in the comfort. It feels relieving, relaxing, and everything in between. "It's not wasting energy if I like spending time with you. I take naps in between and when I find the time. Being with you makes me happier."
@❛ jungkook jeon。 Axinite orbs examine his features, in particular honing in on the bags under his eyes. For a moment, her brows furrow in unmistakeable concern, the perturbation in her eyes a silent but blatant elaboration of her sympathy. Shifts lasting at such an ungodly time, only to leave for class just a few hours later. No room to breathe with only a minute of rest. It is an unhealthy schedule, no matter how beneficial it may be for him. Beneficial, however the physical strain his schedule has on his body is taxing at best, and she wonders how incredible he must be for pushing through. For going on without an ounce of complaint, and still make reservations in his free time for her. She becomes convinced that he is a being of another caliber; of a much higher ranking than humans, because his endurance is far more impressive than many things she’s seen. “Hearing ‘I feel fine’ is not exactly the most reassuring thing, Cookie.” She admits with a sigh, reaching out to pat lightly at his cheek. “I think I would much rather you get your needed rest than you wasting your energy on me. At least, wasting it today. Because again, you need sleep. You have a four hour gap between work and class. I highly doubt you got enough rest for sustenance.”
@❛ soojin seo。 Had it been with anyone else, Jungkook would have made some excuse and opted to have a one on one moment with his bed for the next five or so hours. But with Soojin he feels electricity run through his veins, energy bursting at the seams until it feels like he’d be able to run the length of a football field three times over. Maybe it’s just the way he’s so entranced by her presence, her aura, her everything. It’s too early to say he’s smitten, but already he feels a pull her way. The consecutive nights of fatigue on top of stress related to university, it all tenses on his shoulders and he’s sure that at some point, someone will scold him for spreading himself too thin. But as it seemed now, that was an issue for the future, because Soojin stands in front of him looking too perfect, too fitting into his daily schedule, to let go. “Yeah, it’ll be fine.” His voice audibly softens, picking up on her concern for his wellbeing. “It’s alright, I feel fine.” There’s appreciation in his eyes as he tucks away deviant strands of her hair behind her ear. “Besides, giving up time with you would be cruel.”
@❛ jungkook jeon。 Had she had already graduated and escaped from the damnation that are exams, Soojin would have not been so quick to compare this place to the fabled underground world. As punishing as it sounds, highschool is not exactly the hardest thing one could endure in their life; not especially with college admissions rolling right around the corner. Highschool, by comparison, pales to the beast that is university, with courses that are much more difficult accompanied by perhaps a more hectic schedule. She really had nothing to complain about, not when this man tolerates sleepless nights from the culmination of work and school hours. But yet he is willing to spend what little free time he had with her, rather than keeping to himself and getting the rest he needs. "Are you sure you want to go out?" She asks out of concern, unintentionally disregarding his suggestions for what seems like a perfect day out. "You barely got any sleep."
@❛ soojin seo。 Hellhole. That's exactly how he had described his own high school, vague, repressed memories suddenly resurfacing and reminding him of days with bags overfilled with paper and frantic studying. Realistically speaking, he probably could have taken a break once in a while, but he supposes his hard work is how he's gotten to where he is today. The school that Soojin attends is vast, distinguished in its architecture. There seem to be few students, yet the air around the school is enough to be bustling with life. "Hop in, then." Jungkook pulls off of his car, the black paint practically glowing under the sun as he pulls the door open, inside cool and air conditioned just for the sake of saving themselves some gruesome minutes. "I was thinking we could go to the theater. Or get something to eat and then hang out somewhere. Sound good?"
@❛ jungkook jeon。 The ounce of reluctance that weighs her down is the direct result of yesterday's reaction, when she had been the one to cause a potential crack in their budding relationship. Just less than twenty-four hours ago, the male's guise had been bombarded with distraught and dubiety, left unsure with the new, distancing element between them: age. And so she had been unconfident since then, uncertain for how he felt for the new discovery. That is, until she had noticed that he had been more than willing to spend more time with her; even going through great lengths that is picking her up from her school. So the toothy grin plastered upon her porcelain visage is giddy. Absolutely overjoyed by just his company. "Yeah, I'm ready to get out of this hellhole."
@❛ soojin seo。 Had Yugyeom seen him at this moment, the man's own personal clown he'd become. Jeon Jungkook, stoic looking bad boy imaged electrical enegineer-in-training, with his tattoos and all, staring down at his phone in delight because of a high school girl? There was no doubt about it. Looking at Soojin now, the heavy sun beating down on their skin and through their clothes, the heat biting maliciously through the fabric even with the aid of the breeze, he wouldn't have it any other way. "Hey." His voice is breathy, as if he's just been winded by the sight of her. "Ready to go?"
@❛ jungkook jeon。 Umber irises glaze over the figure awaiting her arrival, preoccupying himself with the cellular device gingerly cradled within large hands. From afar, she watches as his thumbs tap rapidly on the retina display, the smile that graces such a charming visage bringing the girl to chuckle in delight. The sight was perhaps the most refreshing and adorable thing she had laid her eyes upon that week, despite the simplicity of it all. It took a push for her to take a step forward and interrupt such a peaceful image. "Hi."
