Why you love Ivory

To my fellow writers of Ivory in the Mist,

I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to all of you. Over the years, this community has been my refuge, my creative sanctuary, and a constant source of inspiration. No matter how hard a day might get, or how distant I may sometimes feel, I know I can always return here. Ivory in the Mist has been a favorite pastime through both my adolescence and adulthood, a place where my characters come alive, where my imagination soars. Thank you for embracing my creations, for pushing me to grow as a writer, and for always showing me such kindness. Even when my replies are slow or I’ve been absent, you continue to make me feel welcomed and valued. The bonds we’ve formed here are priceless, and I can’t express how much they mean to me.

To our new members, I hope you’ll find a home here, as I have. May you experience the same joy, inspiration, and sense of belonging that I’ve felt. Welcome to this beautiful community. Here’s to many more years of creativity and unforgettable stories.

I have dabbled in multiple RPs over the past 10 years of being on RPR but no matter how many i visit, Ivory is - and always will be - my home. We've definitely gone through ups and downs, ended up in a few lengthy hiatuses when things got too chaotic IRL but the most heartwarming thing is that no matter how long the hiatus was, people still returned and we'd all pick up where we left off, like friends meeting up after a long while; And that is something i value and hold very very dear to my heart.
(And ofc the ability to plot extra dark is a bonus LOL XD )
For real though, thank you to everyone, old and new, for joining our lil chaotic family. We truly wouldn't be here without you <3

Honestly, in my eleven years on rpr, this place is the first time that I've really made friends and people i look forward to rping with, being around, and simply enjoying being creative with. I am not very good at being social or outgoing so making friends isn't easy for me - but this place is very comfortable and everyone is amazing. When i first joined, i was pretty nervous and scared since everyone was such good writers and seemed to already be good friends - but everyone person was very welcoming and inclusive - not cliquey like other rps on here can be. I love all of the friends that i have made here from old to new. also thank for you putting up with me and me now being on the other side of the world now. really I'm just saying that i love you guys and thank you for taking the chance on this little awkward turtle so many years ago.

I'm just like Nam, I don't know where to start. I am very thankful to be apart of a creative world that you can't find anywhere on RPR. Despite a handful of people here, it is still relativity active and every character has a chance to interact with anyone. I love that the RP can be put on pause like a video game and resume back to where I left off. People come and go but the true fam stay and I'm excited for all the new folks here to have a chance to see how much work Nam and everyone has put into this place. I made friends that turned into family. At times I pat myself on the back for taking the leap into faith in enjoying Ivory when I wasn't sure how things would turn out at that time. I am happy to be where I am IC and OOC. I'm also very happy to have a creative outlet and not feel judged when there is an idea that is very nonconventional. I'm excited to see the new era of Ivory but still keeping it's foundation.
I love my family. I love it here.

The community in this rp are very friendly and helpful. I was shy at first of meeting new peeps, but was able to overcome it thanks to a few who were able to welcome me with open arms. I'm thankful for this rp for making me feel secure and welcomed. I appreciate the team too as well.

I don't even know where to begin. This is simply put it's my one and true rpr home. This started as something a simple act of rebellion many years ago after various negative experiences in other rps and we wanted to turn it into something safe, creative, and liberating. Here it's always been my goal to build a sense of community and belonging for all those that seek it. We have been through so many ups and downs together, cycled through so many phases to keep this world going, and against the odds it still stands. On the days I've wanted to give up writing together, I just couldn’t because something about this place always calls me back. Whether is curiosity about my characters to watch them develop, the OOC members that give cheek throbbing and abs crunching laughter, or even an escape of IRL. It's worth it. It has been medicine to my soul and gotten me through some of the darkest times in my life. I wanted to give back to everyone and anyone who has experienced depression, hardship, and loneliness. My admin's team past and present were/are amazing and I would be nothing without them. Friendships that blossomed here unexpectedly I thank you. And of course my horcux of characters that I torture and love but also challenge my way of thinking and inspire my creativity. I love it all. I will not lie it's a ton of work and yes it does get stressful being admin but it's worth it. Every single time and I will always choose Ivory. I love Ivory in the Mist and I have yall to thank for it.

Ivory is a place where I feel safe to rp and develop my characters. Encourages me to go deeper into my head and be creative. It improves my imagination and how different personality can react to a certain situation. The admins are lovely and the rest of the family have been here for long, it feels like you know them forever. You can always pick up where you left off and everyone is welcoming.

i like the fact that i let my creativity fly with people who love rping/writing as much as i do. coming to ivory helped me rediscover the reason why i fell in love with creative writing and character building in the first place and i genuinely can not wait to see how everyone here develops.

hmm my system tells me i haven't been here for that long to make an opinion just yet. But I will stay and find my way around and come back at a later date.
