@✵ choi yeonhwa〘ᴄʜᴇʀʀʏ〙ᵖᵃⁿᵈᵒʳᵃ Another day, another drag. It seemed like these days Jaejin was simply going through the motions of basic functions. Some would call him depressed, and maybe he was. The cause? Heartbreak. Just the admittance, even to himself, made him scowl. Even now as he sat in the company café, his gaze dark and unwelcoming, his mind remained on /her/.

It was moments like this, that he wished certain gadgets from movies were real. He’d pay good money to get his hands on a neuralyzer and wipe away all memories of her from his brain. But even if he forgot her, he was pretty sure his feelings would remain. He needed a distraction. And for once the universe shined on him, as his eyes fell on none other than Choi Yeonhwa.

His brows furrowed as he watched her catch his gaze and quickly turn away. That was strange. Then again, she had been acting strange with him recently. No not strange. She had been avoiding him. Plain and simple. Why? He had no idea. He hadn’t done anything wrong, at least he had hoped not. But it had been going on for months now.

He wasn’t naive. Jaejin knew the younger had feelings for him, but they were friends, she knew that. She seemed content with it before, so why the sudden change? Had she decided that she had enough and didn’t want to be friends with him anymore? Did she know about how many times he cried over his lost love? Did she see him as the pathetic pining fool he knew he had become and didn’t want any part of it?

So many questions floated in his mind, and he knew that he needed answers. So he stood up, his long legs allowing him to catch up to her quickly. “Going somewhere little lotus?” He hoped the use of her usual nickname would help ease whatever was going on. But subtly was never really Jaejin’s strong suit. “You’ve been avoiding me Yeonhwa. Why? Did I do something wrong?”

His voice was soft, his body naturally closing the distance between them so that no one would overhear their conversation. The last thing he needed or wanted was nosy people in his business. “Don’t go on my account. Stay and get something to eat. Surely that’s why you came here in the first place no?”

yeonhwa stared at the lyrics she had written. oh, how everything reminded her of him—his smile, his laughter, his handsome features. she sighed. how long could she stand these feelings? how much longer could she hold them back? she didn't think she was strong enough for this, but somehow her inner strength was tougher than her outer appearance. yes, she could easily cry, but that's what made her stronger.

nam jaejin.

as his name echoed inside her head, the only name that managed to carve itself into her heart, yeonhwa knew that he did not feel the same way about her. there was another girl who had stolen his heart, and sadly, yeonhwa was not that person. yeonhwa wished she could be that person, to be loved and cared for by a man so kind to her. the way he treated her back then made her feel a pang of jealousy. the day the other trainees reminded her that jaejin liked someone else was the day yeonhwa vowed never to speak of her feelings.

she remained busy and calm when she faced him, acting like her usual self while it bled her inside. it was so painful and difficult to face someone you like without them knowing how you feel. the urge to tell him about her feelings came all at once, but she knew she couldn't. it was for the better.

each day, her feelings for him grew stronger and never faded away, despite her best efforts to act normal and be her usual self. it was hard, but she knew she had to do it for the sake of their friendship. perhaps it was a better idea to stay away from him for a while. so yeonhwa decided to avoid him at all costs. each time they were about to meet up, she would decline and give some excuse, even if it sometimes didn't make sense. she didn't care.

after she finished recording, yeonhwa felt her stomach grumbling with hunger. maybe it wouldn't be bad to grab something from the café—as long as she didn't eat too much, it would be fine. she casually walked into the elevator, which took her to the first floor. stepping out of the elevator, she strode towards the café within the building, humming softly. her gaze wandered around the café, and she noticed jaejin there. her eyes widened at the sight of him, and she quickly turned around to leave the café, silently praying he wouldn't see her.

@✵ miyawaki ayaka ʳᵉⁿᵘ Her face stayed indifferent even as the younger Miyawaki went on and on, telling her whatever her sister asked to deliver to her. Her eyes slowly lowered down towards the envelope on the table and stayed there even after Ayaka was done talking.

Numb.

Sun had never expected how big the impact of the cheery cherry blossom lady had on her until she left without notice, as if the earth swallowed her, even though Sun had done everything in her power to find her, no one was able to find her. Until now. In the form of an envelope and the message the younger Miyawaki brought to her.

Pathetic.

If only she stayed true to her own vow to never fall for someone, she would never feel this kind of pain. Twice. Maybe it’s the universe sign that she should just be the way she was before. As long as she stayed careful about it, Sun didn’t have to worry about her group’s image being tainted because of her.

Hesitation crept up as she reached for the envelope. One part of her wanted to keep it for the sake of the memory, while the other part of her wanted nothing to do with Miyawaki Sakura anymore. In the end, Sun just let out a soft sigh and grabbed the envelope. “Thank you for giving me this and to let me know. Please tell your sister that I wish nothing but her happiness. And also thank you for being a part of my past.” The smile on her lips felt foreign even to herself, her eyes that usually twinkle with mischievousness, now filled with nothing but void.

Standing up, still with that rather small smile on her face, Sun still hadn’t found the strength to look at Ayaka’s face, at least for now since she was truly a splitting image of Sakura. Instead, she bowed her head a little “I better get going now. I have an early schedule tomorrow. Thank you, once again, Ayaka-san. May things go well for you and Renu. See you around.”

@✵ kim yura〘sᴜɴ〙ᵖᵃⁿᵈᵒʳᵃ Even though they were both in the same company, she had only seen Yura once or twice as different labels had different schedules, with ReNu mostly practicing on their own in their dorm studio. Hence, seeing her up close like this, coupled with whatever her sister said about her, had Ayaka becoming rather intrigued with the older woman right opposite her. "Yes! That's me. Please, take a seat," she gestured at the empty chair right opposite her, taking a sip of the drink she ordered before her hands clasped onto each other, twiddling fingers, wondering how she should break the news. It took a moment of silence until she decided to just get into it, holding a pink, decorated envelope and sliding it across the table, voice a little soft, wary. "So... Kkura-unnie... wrote this to you. And... she wants me to tell you that she cherished every moment with you and that... she knows how you feel about her, more than just a fling..." Pausing, she eyed the older female, because she knew the words inflicted knives onto Yura; especially when she knew what her sister truly meant. That they couldn't be together. "But... she's settled in Japan now, and she isn't coming back, and... she doesn't want you to find her. I know it's hard to hear this more so from someone you're unfamiliar with... but in her words: 'you deserve someone better, someone who isn't always seeking fun and someone who can settle down, because I can't.'" Letting out a soft sigh at the situation, Ayaka pointed towards the envelope, giving Yura a dry, sad smile. "She probably wrote more stuff along those lines... and I think she put photos of you two together; polaroids, I think. I'm sorry, Sun-sunbaenim..."

@✵ miyawaki ayaka ʳᵉⁿᵘ Tired. She was dead tired.

Her steps did not have the usual bounciness it has whenever she was about to meet a woman. Ever since that one lady disappeared from her life without any notes, no calls, no message, Kim Yura was so sure that it was her karma. Twice. It happened twice in her life. Both women left her when she was sure that she, who always afraid of commitment, decided to change her way of life and be loyal to them. But it was as if the universe was against her decision, again she had to experience a heart break. She was lucky enough that she had solo schedules to take her mind off though it seemed that today was the day that she needs to stop running and listen. Maybe Sakura had a good reason.

Making her way towards the cafe, her blond hair flutters as she looked around, trying to spot someone she promised to see earlier and her heart did skip a beat when she saw her in the corner; the resemblance was uncanny as she thought it was Sakura who sat there. 'Get a grip. She ain't coming.' She scolded herself. Taking a moment to prepare herself, Sun then made her way towards the girl, with each steps she took, the more resemblance she could see between Sakura and her sister, and if one said that they were twins, she probably believe them. When she was close enough, Sun finally found her voice. "Miyawaki Ayaka-san, correct?"

@✵ kim yura〘sᴜɴ〙ᵖᵃⁿᵈᵒʳᵃ it was 2 hours till closing, and the café was quite empty seeing that it was after working hours for the office people and the like. ayaka, making her way to the place where she would be meeting her sister's fling (she knew her sister was wild, but to even hook up with people within her ex-company? so wild), ordered a simple iced americano before settling herself in the corner away from prying eyes, waiting for yura to arrive, and hopefully she knew how she looked like because ayaka was (almost) the splitting counterpart of her sister, albeit a little taller and more glamorous.
