@♣ wang zimo ᶠᵃⁿ nothing about life had ever been close to perfect for ziyi. and yet, with what current pace she had at the moment since she made such a big move— from a stable job, and surprisingly so, an even stabler relationship, the woman had grown more than accustomed to settling away from any far-fetched ideals. especially if it meant bearing a stark contrast to the obscene extremities she had been dealt in what she once knew as home, let alone with the people she thought she knew and loved.

every so often, however, it was as if her mind had been deeply rooted in the adrenaline rush of stagnant pain. a sliver of betrayal that seemingly never got by the female with thoughts that only revolved around those she had painfully left behind. her parents, and her one and only baby brother. they never did have the best of relationships under a household so beyond repair, but did this make it any easier for ziyi to just forget about them? furthermore, abandon them for good? not at all. family was still family, even if at times water simply proved to be thicker than blood.

times like these that she spent on her own, such thoughts were even harder to control let alone as the only semblance of company she accepted was in the form of tequila on the rocks. the liquid scorching hot within the column of like magma that gradually singed out her inner peace for she never stopped worrying. never stopped considering the possibilities that revolved around her family. had they been doing okay? were they much better off without her? furthermore, had zimo.. changed for the better? now that she had little to no contact with them, and absolutely no courage to step up and reach out just yet, ziyi wanted to convince herself that she was better off sinking in positivity.

they were fine. and brother dearest, who never once failed to prove her wrong, hadn’t changed one ing bit.

for as far as the alcohol running through her veins could take her, there was no mistaking the more than familiar features that had soon aligned itself with ziyi’s firm, gradually stern gaze. the same fire in her eyes igniting in an instant much like whenever she would catch her brother in the act of atrocities. “you..” here had been no different, no matter how much she feels— hell, knows he shouldn’t be around, she wasted no time in going after the delinquent almost for old time’s sake. “get your back here, wang zimo!” he was certainly quick, but there was no changing the fact that unfortunately for her baby brother, she would always be quicker.

“i can’t even begin to wrap my mind around whatever the hell gave you the idea to cause trouble all the way here.” the woman hissed, taking a swift hold of his wrist and maneuvering his arm against his back almost as if an arrest were to be made once again as she corners his towering body against a wall. the silence of the quiet streets more deafening than the club scene they had narrowly escaped from. “don’t you even think about lying to me about anything, because i /will/ find out and i /will/ get you back for it. now explain yourself!”

It had been quite some time since Zimo had finally gotten things sorted out and moved to Seoul. At least, it had been nearly three months. He was having a fairly decent time in the new environment, even having picked up a proper job so that he could spend money on his favorite band, ReNu, using legitimate means. It was a step in the right direction, he knew, but in the same breath he hadn't left the life he'd lived prior behind entirely. He'd just gotten a lot better at hiding it and slipping away. And if for some reason he did get caught, he had figured out a few ways to get away easily.

For example, he was no longer getting into fights on the streets. The one time he did, all he had to do was act like he was a victim of some random attack. To show off those sweet little puppy eyes and cry a little bit. The police ate it up and let him go without any issues, but the guys who'd ganged up on him were none too pleased. But seeing how things were, them having to stay in jail for a month while he was let off without so much as a slap on the wrist- it seemed pretty worth it to him. But maybe he would regret thinking this in just a couple weeks. At least for now, he really truly didn't care.

It was only two weeks since that incident, and Zimo was doing his very best to be an upstanding citizen. After all, if he got arrested again so soon, he'd be absolutely screwed. Especially considering he had only recently gotten his visa so that he could live here. If something happened, he would be sent back to Taiwan without even a moment of hesitation on the end of the authorities. He could almost already hear the incessant yapping in his imagination. "How did someone like you end up with a visa? What a piece of garbage." The thought of people looking down on him in this way was simply... infuriating. He hated it even more than he hated the way he'd originally gotten his criminal record wiped in the first place.

But today was a nice day. He'd woken up feeling a little confident, wanting to have a bit of fun. He went to work, waiting tables and being as charming as ever to receive extra tips, something that was quite gratifying. Much more so than his additional ways of getting extra cash. Yet at the end of the night he ended up at the club, dancing with some random girl, and sneakily slipping her luckily small wallet up his sleeve. It was just as he was doing this when he lifted his gaze and saw someone he hadn't seen for years. Seeing her gave him flashbacks to that most embarrassing moment he'd had to endure, being arrested by her hands. His own sister. "," he mumbled under his breath, taking a step back from this stranger he'd just stolen from and making a run for it.
