@โงห s. mingi Minah faked a gasp, her hand dramatically flying up to rest upon her chest. "Smack them? Mingi, how could you? Such violence against harmless little sugar monsters," she teased, her lips curling into a smirk. "Guess I really need to step in and show you how it's done.
Her eyes sparkled with mischief as she playfully jabbed his side, completely disregarding his towering presence. "Stick close then, 'tower of terror,' and take notes. I'll charm those kids out of their candy without even lifting a finger." She grasped his wrist and pulled him along.
@โงห k. minah "Wow, you must be scarier than a ghost if that's true." His tone of voice was teasing as he nudged her lightly on the shoulder. Mingi let out a scoff at her tease with an exaggerated eye roll: "Please. I'm towering over them. What to be afraid of?" I can smack them and it'll be fine." He returned the poke on her cheek, grinning cheekily. At least he knew taking candies from the kids was much easier to handle than surviving another trip to the haunted house. "Well then, show me what you got, Kang Minah Noona. I'll follow behind you to make sure the kids wont run away crying."
@โงห l. dongmin "So... funny thing is, well not so funny for you pft. There's the exit on the other side. The first side there is currently blocked off by more ghouls and ghosts from what I've noticed as we were passing through. Sooooo question is, my big baby pft— think you can handle passing through the house quickly and we dodge as much as we possibly can?" Momo asks with a soft chuckle, the annoyance to the ghost and now with dongmin panicking seem to have dissipated. She won't admit in a million years but seeing the male get scared did bother her.
She felt a little bad and guilty that she brought him here,,causing her to solemnly take hold of his hand in hers. Linking their digits together as she rubbed at the back of his palm, caressing carefully and bringing his hand up to her lips to press a docile kiss there in hopes of comfort. A soft burst of her affection as she peeked up at him with a small smile. "I'd protect you okay? Promise." She nods firmly and inches up on her tippy toes to press a soft kiss to the male's cheek before tugging him gently. "Ready to brave through the horrors of Halloween with me, my knight in shining armor?"
@โงห h. momo did she just scold the ghost- who does that even. dongmin's eyes widened in disbelief as he watched momo did that to the ghostly figure. “when did i say that even?” he muttered, his voice barely audible. a small huff escaped his lips as he shook his head. “but yes, please,” he said, his voice laced with a hint of desperation. “guide us to the exit, please.” he couldn’t help but feel a surge of embarrassment as he realized he was acting like a scaredy-cat in front of momo. fake , my . even though they were fake, they were designed to scare people to their very core, and it worked on scaring the out of dongmin.
he couldn’t believe he was reduced to this. a man who prided himself on his courage and composure, now cowering in fear in this very haunted house. he glanced at momo, who was glared at him. “and excuse me, i won’t pee myself in public, that would be so embarrassing,” he mumbled to himself, more like afraid to face the wrath of the already annoyed woman.
@โงห l. dongmin "What the ?! Lee dongmin?!?!" Momo's voice was shrill, annoyed and definitely perplexed that this mf would do this to her. Of course, he would be quick to be on her tail and chase after her because he want to be her bodyguard and protector on a real life job! With real danger out there and however, within these four walls with terrified screams and horrors and fears —. Her breath stuttered out as momo whirled around to glare at her friend and she held her hands up before wiggling her foot to get the clammy hands off of her.
"Let go!" Her voice is sharp and low, a glare given that the ghost couldn't help but feel intimidated she's sure. Her eyes glowered at the "creature" before giving her thanks and stalking off, more like stomping off angrily to yank on dongmin's hand and shove him back. "Yah! What the heck was that?! You're scared of fake ?! But the real deal you're all for, "leave it up to me, I'd protect you, pretty girl." She scoffed and smacked his chest gently before shaking her head once. "Do you want to leave before you pee yourself?"
@โงห h. momo dongmin's heart was still pounding from the first jump scare. just as he thought he was safe, a second, even terrifying creature emerged from the darkness. it was a long haired creature that crawled towards them with unnatural speed. as if it had won a crawling competition. fear gripped dongmin, and he covered his face with the hood of his jacket as he hid behind momo, hoping to shield himself from being the target of the ghost. it worked, and the ghost instead latched onto his friend's ankle, sending a piercing scream echoing through the air. as if the sound was infectious, dongmin's own scream joined the chorus. in a desperate attempt for survival, he pushed momo towards the crawling horror. "here, take her instead! leave me alone!" he backed away even more and searching for the exit - it seemed it was an impossible task when he had no idea where the exit was. "tell me where the exit is, you long haired ghost!"
@โงห s. mingi Minah stifled a giggle as her eyes shone, watching Mingi try so hard to act unconcerned. "Me? Cry over candy?" she teased, nudging his arm. "Please, I'll have all the kids handing over their best treats by the time I'm done."
She leaned sideways to him, one eyebrow cocked over a playful grin. "Saturday, eh? I'll make my schedule clear for that then." then she turned their attention back to their candy raid session "But you'd better keep up-I'm not slowing down for anyone. And just for the record," she said, leaning in just a little closer, "if I see you flinch around any more little goblins, I'll have to make sure they know you're the one to go for." she reached up and poke his cheek lightly.
@โงห l. dongmin A little snicker left momo's lips once again and she couldn't help but coo under her breath due to how adorable dongmin was acting and behaving. Her head shakes slowly as a little laughter fills the air amongst the screams coming from higher up before the duo. Since the male did pull them away to pause their tour, they were a little way back, leaving the two lagging behind as she her lips and glances around. Just as they turned the corner a flip in momo's tummy alerted her of the possible, impending attack!
"Ah!" A sharp yelp is given in surprised as a goul came straight up, this one had long, stringy wet hair covering her face like that of samara, similar to the girl in the ring as she starts crawling towards them and momo has to yank on the male's hand with a nervous laughter as she moves towards his front. Even with the pounding heart in her chest, the clammy hand holding hers is enough to make her know just how nervous and terrified the younger is. Hence the tiny woman placed herself in between the taller and the "ghost". The jumpscare was a 10/10 as she tried to maneuver from the woman even when her foot was touched and held onto. Causing her to jerk and scream in surprise but she's pleading in Japanese this time. "Let me go. Let me go. Stop. Stop!" She wasn't fully scared perse but her heart did race off and anxiety choked her up from being held and having to "protect" lee dongmin.
@โงห h. momo the adrenaline coursing through dongmin's veins was a stark contrast to momo's light carefree laughter echoing in the dimly lit corridor. an obvious reminder of his momentary lapse in composure. he had been so caught up in the haunted house's theatrics, his heart still pounding, only to be met with her teasing remarks. despite his attempt to regain his composure, the memory of his high-pitched scream still lingered in his mind. a part of him couldn't help but to cringe in embarrassment. perhaps entertainment agencies should recruit vocalists from haunted houses, where a variety of high-note screams from the visitors were on display.
with a playful scowl, his voice laced with feigned annoyance, "definitely still me, i pulled you right here so you could be spared by the ghosts." despite the playful peck on the nose, dongmin couldn't help but to squint at her. "yes, let's go. hold onto me, you little menace. because i'm not coming back for you if you lost your way in this annoying stupid house." he glanced around before moving forward with his clammy hand holding onto momo's tightly. as they moved more deeper into the labyrinthine house, the fear and the fun intertwining, dongmin couldn't shake the feeling that this was an unforgettable experience ever.
@โงห k. minah "I'm not scared of kids. They just too loud for their own good." Mingi huffed as he glared at the passing kids who were laughing and talking-screaming at each other, the distaste on his face was painted blatantly. Once the kids disappeared from his line of view, he shifted his attention back to Minah and sighed. "Fine. Let's go do the trick or treat. Dont cry if you don't get any candies or chocolate though~ as for the amusement park, let's go there this Saturday?"
@โงห l. dongmin "Why the heck not?! Could make you be my handsome prince and I'm giving you a coat so the prince doesn't feel too cold." Momo teases and a little giggle left her lips albeit the reluctance which makes her grimaced at the sound, causing her to mutter a soft, "yuck!" It was light and soft as her thumb caress soothing rubs on the male's hand at the back, wanting to comfort him, even though he's playing a tough game — frankly, she knows her best friend far too well.
So said, so done, a clown did scare the crap out of them! Causing momo to jerk and jump backwards, yanking dongmin with her in the process as a yelp emits. But what terrified her more was the dolphin like scream coming from the younger. Her eyes wide, lips parted wide as her orbs almost bulge out and she couldn't help but burst out in an uncontrollable fit of laughter. The manner in which dongmin beelined for the other side has the older woman laughing and trying her best to catch her breath, her eyes rimmed with unshed tears from all the chuckles as two palms instantly glide up to squish his rosy cheeks. Fingers caress and rub at his rose-coated skin as a little chuckle ensues. "Who's the protector now, mmh? Big baby." She croons fondly and leans in to press a little smooch onto his nose. "Can you go on?"
@โงห h. momo "of course, it would be weird if i asked for yours right?" he snorted, rolling his eyes playfully. dongmin felt the fleeting soft touches on his hand, his gaze dropping to their interlocked fingers. he squeezed momo's hand gently, a silent promise of protection. as they stepped into the dim, flickering light of the haunted house, the eerie sounds of creaking floorboards and distant whispers filled the air. grotesque shadows danced on the walls, casting an ominous glow.
"a clown- pft. no clown can scare me," he boasted, trying to sound brave. just as he finished his sentence, a life-sized, ghoulish clown with a face that looked like it had been carved from nightmares lunged at them from the darkness, scaring the group effectively as they turned the corner. dongmin let out a shriek so high-pitched it could shatter glass, dragging momo away from the clown, separating themselves from the group. his face was a comical mask of terror, his eyes wide with fright, anxiously scanning the empty space for a moment of peace.
@โงห s. mingi Minah leaned her head to the side, puffing out a teasing grin as her hand rose to tug playfully on his sleeve. "Aww, don't tell me you're scared of kids now too," she teased, stepping a little closer to him so that shoulder to shoulder they touched. "Besides, who said anything about headaches? You've got me to keep things under control, and I can handle a sugar rush or two.
She leaned in, placing her hand lightly on his arm, looking up at him with sparkily eyes. "And if it gets too wild, well… you can always retreat to that room of yours," she said, winking. "But come on, don't let those tickets go to waste! It'll be fun."
@โงห k. minah "No, it's fine. If you can't make it. I'll just ask someone else to go there, it'd be a waste of the discounted tickets I got..." He gave another shrug at her, not wanting to sound too excited just at the prospect of spending more time with her. "But if you insist, my room is just a door away." Mingi nodded a little before raising his brow at her teasing, his eyes glanced at the kids wearing different costumes around them, nose scrunching a little in distaste. "Kids only bring headaches... Especially when they are high on sugar... Are you sure you want to?"
@โงห s. mingi Minah caught the slight drop in his expression and almost felt bad for giving him a hard time, almost. She took another step closer, her voice softening. "Maybe I can make time for an amusement park, just to make sure you don't embarrass yourself again." The corner of her lips curled upwards, though there was something else behind her teasing.
Minah crossed her arms, a sly smile dancing on her lips. "Oh, come on, Mingi. We're here already, and really, what else is there to do? Besides..." she added, eyeing the costumed kids running about, "wouldn't trick or treating a bit more, terrifying? I mean, surrounded by /all those kids/? Who knows what terrors they are capable of." She shot him a playful grin, nudging him with her elbow. "Just imagine it-you, towering over a sea of pint-sized monsters. Scared yet?"
@โงห l. dongmin ()so thicc only to realize the tee so bicc djsksk
"Uhuh... you keep playing darling, I know you far too well by now." Momo tuts her tongue softly, an amused smile playing on her brims as her eyes twinkled with wicked intrigue, mischief and sheer amusement at the younger before laughing under her breath. "Wow, look at you, being so cute, such a gentleman aren't ya?" The woman whispered, smiling softly as she reaches up to bring his coat closer and she's inhaling the scent coming from the tall male.
A wave of comfort and peace filled her entire being. Her senses being flooded with lee dongmin, a hypnotic essence that has always been. Her eyes roamed around the haunted house slowly as they eventually start stepping in. A couple more people are behind them and in front, so momo and dongmin are sandwiched in a bit which is safe to say it may very well, be their best option. Her slender digits roam over the veins lining the back of his hand, just needing something to touch and fiddle around with, it grounded her. Dongmin always did that.
"Protect me he says. Something tells me this isn't one of those moments you'd ditch being a bodyguard to look out for me on a hit. Something tells me, you may just run off and leave me in the face of ghosts. What if a clown pops up mm? Or.... a weird smiley face," a knowing smirk plays on her features as the shorter woman faces the handsome male and she chuckles while venturing in deeper with him, the spooky music playing vibrates around the "house" structure they entered in and she's huddling closer— more so because she wants to be close to him, less because she's cold or terrified. Far from it.
dongmin had always been a bit wary of haunted houses. sure, he'd been in some pretty dangerous situations before, but at least those were real. these spooky places, filled with people in weird makeup, just didn't sit right with him. but momo was excited, and if she was happy, he'd do anything. so, here they were, standing in line, waiting to get scared or revealing who would be one that hit the highest note inside the haunted house.
"pft, scared my ," dongmin scoffed, trying to look tough before pulling out his phone to wave it in front of her. "i'm going to take pictures of your funny face when you're scared." as they waited and moving forward little by little as the previous couple before them entered the haunted house, the black haired guy noticed his companion's shoulders were bare. "it's gonna be cold in there, i bet," he said, taking off his jacket and draping it over her shoulders. "and this way, the fake ghosts won't be able to touch you." holding her hand in his bigger one as they walked into the dark place held hands as they walked into the haunted house slowly. dongmin squeezed her hand tighter. "don't worry," he said. "i'll protect you."
little did momo knew, dongmin had a secret plan. he was going to use her as a shield if any of the "ghosts" got too close. he'd keep up the tough guy act, but inside, he was just as scared as anyone else in this very place.
It wasn't something that the young hit woman was used to, that's for sure — dragging her best friend along with her, her ride or die, her confidant, that special person who played a special role in her everyday mundane life — momo couldn't help but beg the other to come along with her. The younger male probably didn't expect for when momo to suggest a simple hangout it would result in anywhere close to being a haunted house of all places, yet here she is, tugging the taller by his hand, clasping her fingers around his larger palm with a soft snicker leaving her peach tinted brims.
"Don't tell me you're scared now, are you?" The young woman taunted the younger male with a grin playing on her lips. Eyes lit up with a fiery taunt as formulated a cheeky little smirk. A soft laughter filling the air as the two enters the haunted house with their tickets in hold making sure to give to the guy at the entrance. A deep breath is taken as momo's chest heaved slowly and she squeezed dongmin's hand in her hold before glancing up at him with pursed lips. "Are you gonna protect me or would I be the one needing to protect you in the end, pretty boy?"
@โงห k. minah He didn't expect her comeback, which caught him off guard. It rendered him speechless as he stared at her with widening eyes. Mingi couldn't help but roll his eyes when she again. Haunted house might be his weakness, but at least he could handle all the amusement park rides just fine. "You don't have to worry about that. What happened inside there." He gestured to the attraction behind them. "Will never happen in the amusement park. But yeah, I won't force you to come with me; you must be busy with the bakery." He slipped his hands inside his jeans pocket, shrugging a little as if it wasn't a big deal if she couldn't go there with him, while the truth, he felt a little dejected. "So where do you wanna go now? And no, we are not going to join any trick or treats thingy. It's for kids."
@โงห s. mingi Minah raised her eyebrow and gave him a smirk. "Oh, don't flatter yourself, Mingi," she said, crossing her arms in unimpressed fashion. "I'm sure you just needed the comfort of someone braver," she teased, throwing him sideways with mirth in her gaze.
But the concept of an amusement park had sparked her curiosity, which she wouldn't let him know. "Amusement park, huh?" she answered completely uninterested, shrugging her shoulders. "We'll see if I'm free. But don't expect me every time to play knight in shining armor." She flashed him a teasing grin, obviously enjoying the game.
@โงห k. minah The word 'cute' from her made his face turn red even more. It was one adjective that had never been associated with him. But strangely enough, he didn't mind it if it was her who called him that. Not to mention how melodious her giggle was.
Whoa. Wait. Hold on.
He did not just think like that.
Mingi's eyes were set on Minah's face as she talked. Despite the teasing, he found himself smiling at her. Well, he might've shown her a very uncool version of himself, but maybe next time, it would be his time to shine, though he couldn't help but raise his brow at her "You liked me clinging on you? You could've just said you want me to hug you, noona. I won't judge~" He returned the teasing grin, finally calm enough to back. "Next time, why don't we go to the amusement park?"
@โงห s. mingi Minah tried to suppress her laughter, but Mingi's flushed face and that little pout were too much. A giggle did slip out despite her best effort. "I'm sorry," she managed to say with a voice quivering with laughter. "I've just never seen you look so... vulnerable. It's kind of cute, actually." She playfully nudged his arm. "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone," she whispered, bringing her face in, like it was their shared secret.
Then, trying to lighten the mood, she added, “Besides, who else would I want to go through a haunted house with? I kind of liked having you cling to me like that.” Her teasing grin softened. “Maybe next time we can pick something a little less terrifying, hmm?”
@โงห k. minah Once they were out of the nightmare, Mingi could feel his legs turning into jellies from all the fear and tension he felt during the walk through the haunted house. The moment he glanced at Minah, he knew that she wouldn't let this slide and that his fate of being teased about it for eternity was sealed.
Mingi's face turned red, now the embarrassment hit him like a truck, remembering how pathetic he must've looked like for her. His hand quickly went up to wipe any remnants of tears, his lips butter forward, forming a little pout at her poor attempt to stop herself from laughing. "...Go ahead. I know you want to laugh. Must be very amusing for you." There was a slight annoyance in his voice, but more because he showed a totally uncool side of himself to this woman.
@โงห s. mingi Minah couldn't help but feel her heart twist at the sigh of Mingi clinging onto her with his dear life. His tall figure trembling, desperate to escape. She had never seen him look so vulnerable. This confident boy brought down to a sniveling terror, clinging to her like she was the only lifeline. At first she was surprised by how tightly he was holding her, almost squeezing the breath out of her, but that humor she felt earlier hitched into something softer, more protective.
"Hey, hey," she whispered, rubbing gentle circles up his back as she pulled him closer, trying to calm him through the sobs and pleading. "It's okay. We're almost out. No more surprises, I promise."
The zombified staff member who had scared him took a step back and gave a furtive smile upon seeing Mingi's distress, as if he had planned for that to happen somehow. Minah urged him forward, her arm still firmly wrapped around him now, she was intent upon stopping anything else jumping out to scare him. She upped the pace, her hand still resting on his, to hurry their way toward the exit, muttering soothing reassurances. "Almost..."
Finally, they reached the end, and the moment they were outside, she felt Mingi exhale a shaky breath of relief. She said absolutely nothing, letting him take all the time he needed to steady himself and regain his composure. When he finally turned to her, as much as she tried to resist it, even to biting her lower lip, she couldn't help the grin that spread across her face. "A-are you.. okay?" She stiffled the laughter that was about to escape from her lips.
@โงห k. minah He lost the ability to speak right now as he followed Minah to the exit. It was a very embarrassing sight of him, but when being forced to face something that you detest so much, the embarrassment became something so minuscule that it slipped off your mind, as long as you get to leave as fast as you can.
The relief that Mingi felt when he could see the exit sign was immeasurable. Glad that soon he would be out of this hell hole, but it seemed like fate had another plan for him as the staff who dressed up like a zombie patted his shoulder from behind, successfully making him scream as loud as he could and ended up hugging Minah so tightly, almost squeezing her as tight as how he shut his eyes. His whole body was shaking and finally, he broke down. A sob faintly came out from him as he begged. "No, no, no... Please no more... I give up. Please just let me go, hyung... No more scary surprises, please... I beg you..." The words came out broken in between his sobbing. Screw manly image; all he cared about right now was just to finally get outside and be as far as he could from this haunted house.
@โงห s. mingi I think we're almost there." Minah turned to look at Mingi, seeing the desperation in his eyes and instantly regretting her decision. She had thought maybe she could by suggesting a second round. But seeing how on edge he was, that idea instantly flew out the window. "Just a little more!" she pep-talked, taking his hand in her own and lacing their fingers before giving a soft squeeze. She patted the back of his hand, trying to give him strength.
"We're almost there," she said, trying to keep him from noticing her small, amused smile through the flashing lights and shadows. It was an unexpectedly endearing sight to see him—tall, confident Mingi—getting the wind knocked out of him, hints of tears even in his eyes as he was. She'd remember this, a side of him he likely didn't let out in the open often, and he was still trying to be brave, doing his best.
Now she knew why he had made so many excuses to avoid haunted houses. Knowing it now, though, she couldn't help but feel a little guilty. What was it that drove him through his own fears to bring her here? If she was honest, now she actually felt kind of bad for dragging him into his own personal nightmare.
@โงห k. minah Throughout the way, Mingi refused to let go of Minah as he kept clinging onto her. Screw manly pride. Pride couldn't chase the ghosts away. He didn't mind if she later once they were out of this haunted house alive. Mingi was only able to look on the path, not wanting to lift up his head unlike the woman in front of him who was so bravely maneuvering through the pathways to the end of the attraction. Her laughter brought a question in his mind, what kind of woman enjoyed something like this? She was really one of a kind. Countering her laughter was weak whimpers coming from him but it was then when she screamed for real, Mingi felt his heart dropped, almost running as fast as he could toward the exit but remember he couldn't and wouldn't be able to go through it all alone. He was so shocked that a sniffles could be heard from him as she asked if he was okay or not. No, he couldn't cry right now. The tall man quickly wiped the tears from his eyes and nod, almost like a robot. "I-I'm fine... is it still far...? the exit, I mean...?"
@โงห s. mingi "AHHHH—hahaha! " Minah screamed, her voice seamlessly morphing into a laugh as a skeleton in a black cloak dropped down from above, startling them right at the start. She had an idea of how these haunted houses worked, one scare from above, the next probably lurking on either side. Putting up a braver front, she led the way or rather, pulled Mingi along, he was clinging on to her instead of the other way around at the start.
She placed her hands over his and slid them upwards to give him a reassuring squeeze as they moved ahead.
"It's gone, it's gone!" she reassured him over her shoulder, checking that he was still hanging in there. Every scare was just making Minah laugh more, the laughter in the dark as she tried to anticipate what might be around the next corner. They approached one of the narrow bridges when out of nowhere an actor in costume reached up and grabbed their ankles. "AHHH! Oh my god!" A real scream was let out before breathless laughs tumbled out from her as they both stumbled into an empty corner to catch their breaths. Her heart was racing wildly as she pressed a hand onto her chest, the thrill of it still coursing through her veins. Turning her head to Mingi, she was finally able to ask, "Are you okay?"
@โงห k. minah A gasp was all that Mingi could let out from his mouth as Minah dragged him inside the haunted house. The moment when the darkness engulfed them, Mingi's brave facade was thrown outside the window and replaced by the true emotion that he rarely showed. Truth be told, Mingi was never a fan of something with a horror theme; that's why Halloween was his ultimate foe; when everyone else was having fun, he preferred to stay at home. His steps were uncertain, and if it was not for Minah's hand that was still clutched on his arm, Mingi would've just turned around and left. His eyes darted left and right, trying to guess from where they were going to be surprised by the ghosts inside the haunted house. "C-can you walk faster...? T-this is such a ba---HOLY !" in the middle of talking, something fell off right on top of his head and Mingi did what the best thing he could do. Screaming and clinging to Minah for dear life, body is shaking with fear as his eyes was shut tightly, refusing to see whatever that was. "Is it gone? Please tell me it's gone. Oh God. No no, let's get the hell outta here...." He wasn't a rapper for sure but one could mistaken him for one if they heard how fast he was talking right now while still refusing to let go of Minah.
@โงห s. mingi The blood of Minah ran crazy with excitement, and the adrenaline was so strong in her body that she could hardly hold it in. She didn't even notice the slight stutter of Mingi or the slight shake of his hand as he took the ticket from the counter. Standing at the entrance herself, she grasped her own ticket. Her eyes shone with a childlike sparkle, and to her, it was as if this haunted house were some sort of Disney Castle ride. The screams just added to the excitement for her. "Are you for real right now?"
"Yes," she whispered, her eyes on Mingi's with a calm, straight face, channeling Wednesday Addams. "Inside now." And with that said, she clutched his arm, the fingers marking themselves on his skin, as the curtains swung open with a push from her, stepping right into darkness with boldness. It was to be the beginning of his nightmare, yet for Minah, her very own Disney Castlen Haepung style awaited.
