Ivory in the Mist: Roleplay Rules & Regulations

Welcome to Ivory in the Mist, where storytelling flourishes, connections are cherished, and respect forms the cornerstone of our community. Our motto captures the essence of what we stand for:

“Our family’s foundation is communication, tolerance, and respect for everyone.”

1. Age Requirement

To maintain a mature and respectful environment, all members must be 18 years or older. This rule also extends to your face claims and characters.

2. Behavioral Conduct

For six years, our trust in the saying “Trash always takes itself out” has fostered a harmonious community. We reserve the right to decline any application if a writer has a history of problematic out-of-character (OOC) behavior.

Prohibited Behaviors:

• Mpreg (male pregnancy)

• Face-chasing

• One-liners

• God-modding

• Killing characters without consent (revival abilities are exceptions)

Respect OOC Boundaries: Always obtain the writer’s explicit consent before depicting violence against their character. Remember: consent is y!

3. Rated Roleplay and Sensitive Themes

Triggering or explicit content should be handled discreetly in designated areas such as:

• Private messages

• Character walls

• The Dark Room

• Character’s private dwellings

• The Black Light District

4. Conflict Resolution

Conflicts and miscommunications can happen. Handle them respectfully:

• Use private messages to address disagreements.

• If unresolved, you may cease roleplaying with the individual disregarding your OOC boundaries.

• For persistent issues, contact an admin privately for further investigation.

Note: Removal from the RP is a last resort and only occurs in cases of persistent disrespect or harassment. We are proud to have avoided such actions for six years.

5. Equality & Inclusiveness

We celebrate diversity and welcome writers of all orientations, genders, and nationalities. Our inclusive community thrives on mutual respect and understanding.

6. Activity Expectations

Ivory in the Mist values quality writing and thoughtful narratives over quantity.

Inactivity Policy:

• Members have a 30-day inactivity window to refresh their creativity.

• First Warning: Sent via private message after 30 days of inactivity.

• Second Warning: Issued if no response is received within 48 hours.

• Deactivation: Follows if there is no reply within 48 additional hours.

Hiatus:

Let an admin know if you need time away:

• Semi-Hiatus: Up to 1 month.

• Full Hiatus: Up to 2 months.

7. Character Requests

Expand your storytelling potential with up to 6 characters.

Guidelines:

• Second Character: Request after earning 250 points with the first character. Points are not deducted.

• Third Character & Beyond: Each character must have at least 250 points before a new request is made.

Bonus Tip:

Earn a 200-point reward for one character for every successful referral to the RP.
