@ⓝ kangjoon s。❝aphrodite something he'd always been fond of ever since he was a child was the ticklish sensation of the tide coming in, his feet sinking into the sand with each step. giving your arm a gentle squeeze when he heard the tone of your voice -- soft, somehow serene -- he would soon look up at you, a fondness in his eyes. "i want to do this again," bobae would utter softly under his breath and focus back on the calm water, his cheeks a bright shade of red that blended perfectly with the falling sun. "it.. it's so refreshing when i'm with you." the confession was almost accidental, having to clear his throat and laugh lightly but nothing could suppress the warmth in his heart -- he could never deny the feelings he's begun to develop for you.
@ⓣ bobae k。 it had been a long day, but everything seemed to pass by in an instant as we spent time together. time really does fly when you're having fun and kangjoon hasn't felt it in a while. he has his hands dipped into the pockets of his shorts as we thread along the sand barefooted, grains getting stuck between out toes. the waves are calming, the sound of water crashing filling our ears as waves form and go. he shifts his gaze from the picturesque sky to your just as attractive features as you speak, a gentle smile forming on his rosy cloves. "i'm elated that you did."
a soft bubbling feeling forms in his chest as a realisation came to his senses. he wanted you to be there, always. going on little dates, meeting his family and playing with jiae who already loves you.
@ⓝ kangjoon s。❝aphrodite the sun was beginning to fall and soon the moon would take over for another gelid, peaceful night. around your arm was both of his own, securing himself tightly beside you as a breeze washed over them both. taking in the warmth of your body, he nestles closer if at all possible while they begin to stroll along the waterfront. it was beautiful -- the sky mottled with a bunch of pinks and oranges, the water doing its best to mimic it in the reflection. glancing up to you, he only hummed softly, lips parted as he was about to thank you for the nice night; the getaway from reality -- something everyone needs once in a while. "i had fun."
@ⓘ jagang。 midnight's shadows waltz upon the land, each and every wave bringing forth the most soothing of melodies whilst rewriting the history written in the sand-- our own message included, now drowned out by curlicued salt and iridescent seashells-- whereas indigo clouds caper across heavens illuminated by clustered crimson. the beauteous sight, coupled with your dearest presence, easily marks tonight as one of my favorites-- though i consider any memory of mine that you embroider as such. the way autumn's gales seem to chase after summer's fragile remnants has me eventually scooting closer to you from where i've been sprawled upon our shared blanket, muscular arms soon nestled cozily along your waist from behind, as i nose along the curve of your neck, scorching breath tantalizing the prominent vein that pulsates ever so sweetly beneath my lips. my smouldering gaze slithers lower just then, into your hands, and into the bright screen of your phone. takin' pictures, mm. . .? the sky's really pretty right now. not as pretty as you, though.
@ⓒ jongdae k。❝chen ᴴ "good boy bolt! that was a great catch chase!" the compliments spilling past coral brims seemed almost never-ending as the minutes stretched on whilst he played with his ecstatic pooches. coincidentally, it so happened to be the months of subtropical heatwaves, the kind with shockingly humid afternoons where the soulful melodies of cicadas would resonate in the ears of those who dared to venture outside. it was high noon by the time he'd arrived and the sun spared no mercy, beating down with unrestrained brutality. one would think the blonde would start to get exhausted to some extent as he continued to exert more energy, but that didn't seem to be the case. his already tanned, gloriously bronzed skin appeared even more brilliant against the sunbeams as he dashed back and forth between the sand and water. hearing the others voice, hyunwoo finally brought himself to a halt for the first time since arriving, before sauntering over to where jongdae was carefully nestled beneath the shade of a beach umbrella. "don't worry about it, we haven't been here long." he reassures with a radiant smile, water trickling down his sun-kissed form reddened at certain spots where the sunburn at his skin. "the pups are so excited to be here, just as much as i am really." he raises, glimpsing at the scampering dogs for a transient moment before redirecting his attention back to the brunette before him and plopping down next to him -- but on the sand instead. "i haven't felt this good in a long time." the statement was almost a breathy, contented exhale as he leaned back against his arms propped behind his back.
@ⓣ hyunwoo k。 Jongdae was running late to his meeting (because he still can’t summon up the courage to call it a date, not yet) with Hyunwoo. It wasn’t the first or last time he’s made the younger boy wait, and every time he felt incredible embarrassed over his tardiness - with an excuse and especially when he didn’t have one.
Thankfully, this time he did have an excuse: Polaroid camera crossed over his shoulders and hanging by his side, a bag filled with towels, drink, and food in his hand, and just in case, he bought sun block. Hyunwoo had the habit of not putting on sun block and always getting burnt, and it was something Jongdae made sure to remember this time around.
When the boy finally felt the sand under his feet after the long board walk, he couldn’t help but smile. The day was more than perfect today, sun shining and sky blue as ever. As the ocean waves crashed against the shore in that melodious sound that Jongdae has always found calming, he began on his walk until he spotted the younger, adventurous boy and his pack of dogs.
It didn’t take long, however, when a familiar Utonogan sprinted towards him, and Jongdae kneeled down with upmost glee at the sight of Kona. He let the bag stand next to him, hands caressing the dog’s ears gently. “Hey there, good girl,” he mused, looking ahead again and getting the sight of his - well, date - shirtless already and throwing frisbees left and right.
The smile that pulled Jongdae’s lips up was nothing short from brilliant, and despite the sun shinning so bright, Hyunwoo was a million times more stunning here - at his favorite place ever. The elder began to walk ahead, Kona running off back to her owner, and in a moment Jongdae reached over for his polaroid camera, snapping a picture of Hyunwoo and his kids.
“Sorry for getting here so late!” He called out to the younger, flapping the picture in his hands. “Traffic was extremely annoying, Woo.”
@ⓒ jongdae k。❝chen he grew up by the ocean, waking to the sound of waves lapping against gold tinged sands and the euphonious melodies his mother played on the piano every sunrise. ever since coming to seoul he'd been shackled by unforgiving schedules that allowed him little reprieve when it came to recuperate from the pressure and stress that naturally came with it. so whenever he visited the beach, he'd commit it to memory and bask in the bliss of nostalgia, of the familiar feeling of a home that at those transient moments, didn't seem so far away. he didn't just want the sight to be engraved into his subconsciousness, he wanted to bottle in the scent and have seashells to touch and take back home, he wanted to be able to come back to where the ocean was no less than a few steps away. to say he was looking forward to the evening would be an understatement, and with all ten of his dogs nestled in the back and passenger seat of his car, his insides bubbled with inexplicable exhilaration as the beach and ocean finally came into view after a two hour long drive. as if they were voicing the excitement in his thoughts, the dogs started barking in unison, pawing at the windows and climbing over one another to get a glimpse of what lay ahead. "aight' ready guys?"
exiting the car first, he opened the trunk before grabbing a few frisbee's, glad he didn't have to haul much out onto the beach (read: aside from some dog treats) considering the fact that you offered to bring the necessities, mats, towels, food and the like. letting a broad grin steal across his features, he realized there was definitely more than one or two reasons to look forward to the evening after all. after letting the dogs out of his car, he made his way towards the concrete steps that separated the road from the beach before walking down, ten pooches obediently following and padding along with him. and when his feet finally fell upon the sand, his breath hitched. with every step the sand shifted. with every motion forward there was some backward and down, just like walking in fresh fallen snow. yet unlike the crystalline blanket of white bequeathed by winter time, the fine grains under foot give induced warmth into him like a hypodermic needle and akin to their sky-bound benefactor they were golden, as if the sunshine itself were trapped within each crystal of silicone and oxygen.
despite the heat, he found himself frozen in place as his eyes took in the ocean, cerulean orbs glistening against the shimmer of the waves that rolled in white tipped, spreading themselves like fine lace over the beach after they crashed in their soft way. a sparkle of silver orbited within his iris, eyes widening as the waves played the music of his childhood summers long ago with the people he loved and lost -- the sound of his mother singing and deceased father rustling the newspaper, he felt so impossibly at home. in a breath that had the fragrance of the salty sea breeze, it took him a while to notice your familiar figure seated somewhere farther along the beach. however, the built up excitement within him really didn't spare much room for greetings, and with a loud. "it's time for some fun!" he made a full dash, ten dogs following suit in equal elation, barking furiously as they made a full sprint towards the beach together. whizzing past you, his shirt was quick to be discarded, as frisbee's flying in multiple directions almost immediately after and the sound of splashing water rather abruptly, breaking the silence. "fetch!"
