@❈ Aoyama Thelma {Aoya} blinks a few times
can i really?
nods slowly and swallows slightly before smiling softly
ah, i am a trainee, yes-
thank you though, for the welcome~ it means a lot
@★ Wang Yiran {Stella} *chuckles*
You can call me Aoya, it's fine
*hums in understanding*
Ah, so you're very new. Well, welcome to the family!
Are you a trainee?
@❈ Aoyama Thelma {Aoya} nods slightly, swallowing nervously and grinning a tad
um i- nice to meet you too, Aoya- i mean-
blinks a few times and stares down at my feet awkwardly for a short moment, coughing slightly before looking up hoping to have gained my composure a bit more and smiling softly
i am, i just got here a few days ago actually
@★ Wang Yiran {Stella} *leans in just a touch to hear before smiling and straightening up again and clasping my hand down in front of me*
Nice to meet you Yiran.
I've never seen you, are you new?
*asks the question, curiously tilting my head*
@❈ Aoyama Thelma {Aoya} blinks a few times upon being spoken to, taking a few moments with my mouth left open in slight shock before responding just barely above a whisper
ah, i- hello-
smiles slightly and tucks some hair behind my ear, swallowing nervously and bringing my hands behind my back to avoid my fingers visibly fidgeting
i’m Yiran-
@★ Wang Yiran {Stella} *steps out of the elevator with my manager, having a conversation in Japanese that somehow transitioned from work to random nonsense; stopping a little ways down the hall, we continue on with the conversation, wanting to finish before parting ways for the day, unaware of the presense of someone else nearby*
Hai, ki wo tsukete
*I say, waving as we finally separate only to finally notice you just standing there*
*smiles and bows my head a bit in greeting*
Hi, there
@❈ Aoyama Thelma {Aoya} sighs heavily, glancing around the main hall nervously as i attempt to figure out where it is i’m needing to go;
purses my lips a bit, thinking for a moment before choosing a random direction and just hoping i’ll be lead to one of the practice rooms so that i can work on one of my weakest points, but freezes in my place immediately as i see you, a slight squeak escaping my lips considering how i wouldn’t have expected to run into you; you were just way too cool for a newbie like myself to meet
@★ Park Jae Jung Bella walked into the building and took off her hat she wore which covered her eyes, she signed softly as she looked around. "So mom did update everything.." She nodded and smiled bowing to some staff that looked at her with widened eyes, obviously realizing who she was. They bowed respectfully towards her and she waved them off as a sign to tell them there was no need for the respect as she was the youngest of Elizabeth Kwons children. "Aish... She still hasn't responded to my messages." She mumbled aloud and sat on a comfortable laid back chair.
@★ Kim Kibum {Key} This wasn't supposed to be so stressful. That was what Hongbin kept telling himself, over and over again. It was just a test of his abilities, that was what his supervisor had assured him, but he couldn't shake the feeling that he would mess up royally and he would be fired and have to return to a modeling career. That was a realistic concern, right? Hongbin let out a soft huff of frustration and hid his face in his hands, trying to shake off the bad feeling. A new voice broke him out of his focus, and he peeked through his fingers at the newcomer. His posture immediately straightened, the weight seeming to lift from his shoulders. "What?" he began cautiously. "Um... no. Everything is fine."
[] yip es i'm so sorry for the wait!! it's been,, an interesting ,, few days
@✯ Lee Hongbin The A/C went out in Kibum's dorm room so he decided it was best for him to just hang out in the main hall where they had charging outlets and actual A/C. It was far too hot to just sit around in a building with no A/C. Sighing he sat down in the chair, charging his phone. When he looked over he noticed someone sitting in the corner obviously having a hard time. He had his head held in his hands and he looked visibly stressed. Curiously Kibum stood up and walked over to him and sat next to him. "You look like you're not having the best of times." He said trying to lighten to the mood. "What's wrong?"
[] asdfghjkl it's I know couldn't think well. Feel free to make it longer! I'm used to mirroring anyway.
@★ Park Jae Jung Soyeon nodded her head and smiles at Jaejung. As they walked she did look around the area, the city was rather beautiful at night. She guessed she never really got the time to enjoy it or she was just too oblivious to the world around her. She then returns her gaze over at the male and smiles up at him. she lifts her fingers up that were crossed as well. "Fingers crossed" She repeated and then re adjusted her bag over her shoulder. "So do you plan on being a soloist or in a group?" She asked and folded her arms again. " I mean I know its kinda whatever you get but when you joined as a trainee what was your goal?" She asked looking at the ground while they walked not really wanting to fall on her face while they walk. She wasn't even that clumsy just more overthinking things and always imagining the worst. "Are we almost there?" She asked out of curiosity. She didnt mean to come across as impatient but it kinda sounded like that. "Ah I'm just so hungry. I sometimes forget to eat. I was just practicing through lunch.
@★ Jeon Soyeon He hummed in agreement. It was a beautiful song, the instrumentation was his absolute favorite thing about it. Every instrument involved just gave the song a tone and sound that he really enjoyed. "Thanks," he responded to her encouragement. He listened to her explanation of her performance, nodding along in the right spots. The insinuation that she "threw something together" was odd and he hope she actually didn't just slap some stuff into a piece. "Ah, that's brave. Very cool though. I'm sure you'll be great too, I'll look forward to it." He thought for a moment about what she'd said before as the thought came back to him. "Honestly, I don't know how it'll go either. The showcase itself is really vague and I kind of hate that," he said truthfully. He was someone that functioned best with at least a little bit of a framework to work with. So, being told to just...have at it was a little daunting. "Fingers crossed nothing goes wrong though," he stated with a small smile, lifting both hands to show his crossed fingers before returning them to his pockets.
@★ Park Jae Jung Soyeon giggled softly to herself seeing how excited Jaejung got talking about his work. It was nice to see and Soyeon understood almost too well. She would get so excited about performing and talking about performing that people around her would almost be annoyed and tell her to shut up. "Ah that's a beautiful song. I can't wait to hear it. I'm not entirely sure how they will work but either way I'm sure you'll be great. " She said sincerely and smiled up at him. "Ah as for me... I kinda threw something together. I has a couple songs I wrote in the past as well as some raps I wrote so I just sat down and started composing something together. I wanted it best tailored to show off my talents. " She said smiling back up at him.
@★ Jeon Soyeon "No problem," he responded, passing through the door as well and keep it open so the before that showed up behind them could exit as well. He bowed in response when the person thanked him and jogged a bit to catch up with Soyeon. Once they were at a matching pace, he casually shoved his hands in his pockets. At the mention of the evaluation he hummed in affirmation. "Mhm, I've been rearranging Lee Mi-Ja's Twlight Blues," he responded. "It's turned out pretty great. I'm actually excited to perform it." An excited smile was on his face as he talked about his work and when he realized it, he toned it down a bit, clearing his throat. "But yeah. That's what I'm doing. What about you?" he asked, turning just enough to face Soyeon.
@★ Park Jae Jung Soyeon wanted to so desperately decline his offer of paying. However the probably arose that she was pretty broke. She may or may not have just spent most of her money on some video games. "Ah okay. Thank you." She says with a soft smile. She then starts walking to the door.
Going through the door way she smiles and bows her head at Jaejung. "Thank you" she said and started walking with him down the road. "Ah okay. That's sounds good." She says and folds her arms over her chest as they walked. "So do you know what you're going to be singing for your evaluation?" She asked trying to start up a conversation. "I'm sure you'll do great" she added.
@★ Jeon Soyeon Jaejung merely chuckled as well, not acknowledging how unsweet the process actually was. It had an incredibly stressful christmas for the Park family what with him being born two months early. In other circumstances or may have been sweet, so the sentiment was still valid.
"Great, my treat," he responded, following her to the door and walking just a touch faster so he could get there and hold it open for her. "There's a place a few blocks from here," he started, though he'd honestly planned on hitting up a corner store and calling it a day. "Inexpensive, but definitely not cheap."
@★ Park Jae Jung "Oooh a Christmas baby. How sweet." Soyeon responded with a soft chuckle. She held her hand over he mouth as she did so often. She smiles and takes her hand down to her wrist to play with the bracelet again. It was more of a calming/grounding thing she did to help her think clearly. When his stomach growled Soyeon couldn't help but chuckle softly as well. she was actually pretty hungry too, sometimes she just forgets to eat because her head is just so scattered.
Nodding her head Soyeon smiles and pulls her bag over her shoulder more. "I mean if you're offering then yeah. Where to? " She asks cheerfully. Soyeon wasn't a picky eater so really anything would do for her. She just enjoyed food of any kind. She starts to the door just so they could get there faster. She was a lot hungrier than expected.
@★ Jeon Soyeon "Ah, then you're technically older," he affirmed, glad to have some sort of orientation for their ages. He could speak a lot more comfortably now. Their age difference wasn't enough to warrant speaking formally, but he was relieved to know that he hadn't been speaking banmal with someone significantly older. "My birthday is in December -Christmas actually," he continued, further explaining the previous statement. He stomach growled suddenly, reminding him of his initial destination before Soyeon had approached him. His had instinctively went up to rest on his stomach and he laughed, ending it in a bit of a sigh.
"Hey, are you hungry?" he asked. He didn't want to be rude and just cut off their conversation. She was the one that came to him, so he felt like she should be the one to do that once she was done saying whatever more she might have had to say. He point over his shoulder with his thumb, back to the exit of the building. "I was heading out to have dinner. You can come if you like," he offered, half-way regretting the offer as soon as it left his lips. He actually liked eating alone. It was ample time to be alone with his thoughts and compress after a long day of being around a ton of people. Again, though, he wouldn't be rude and not invite her along.
@★ Park Jae Jung Soyeon was grateful to see Jaejung wasn't too shaken by it. Well.... at least in her mind. She was just glad the conversation was progressing. It was odd when she was on stage she was a completely different person. Charming, Charismatic, Lively. But off stage she's just... lost. That was part of the reason for her motivation to become an idol. She so desperately wanted to be like that always. Performing was her escape. A lot of her other trainees felt somewhat the same too. She couldn't imagine a life without this.
"Oh! I'm 19 too actually. But I'll be 20 in august. " She says happily, she finally felt like she was getting it together and not being a total awkward mess. "When is your birthday?" She asked trying to continue the conversation. If someone were listening it they would probably think this is the weirdest and most awkward conversation they've heard.
@★ Jeon Soyeon He hadn't even realized what he'd done, so when Soyeon thanked him, he did a bit of a double take before it registered in his head. "Oh, uh, no problem," he said, offering a polite smile. It didn't take very long at all into the staring for Jaejung to realize that she was, in fact, staring. He was very conscious of those kinds of things: people staring at him or talking about him, whether positive or negative. Under the girl's scrutiny, he started to feel a bit uncomfortable and shifted his footing, backing away everso slightly without even noticing that he'd done it himself.
Once she was finally aware of herself though, he shook his head to assure her that it was fine. It wasn't, but no real harm had been done. "Ahh," he hummed in understanding, jerking his bag in an upward motion on his shoulder, effectively shifting the strap as it had started to slip down his arm. "I'm 19." Now that they were on the topic of age, Jaejung realized that he had no idea how old she was either, thus he had no idea how he should be addressing her. Some slight panic set in at that, as he realized he could have been perceived as totally rude for talking to her casually if she was older than him. Swallowing down his anxiety and forcing himself to a solution, he cleared his throat. "Uh, what about you?"
@★ Park Jae Jung When Jaejung helped push her out of the way of the person trying to get through she felt her anxiety heighten just a bit. But she smiled and bowed her head a bit. "Thank you." She said softly then looked down at her bracelet and started feeling over the ridges to help her think more clearly. Or try to at the very least. It was good to hear excitement in his voice. As much as soyeon tried to avoid talking to new people sometimes due to her awkwardness she did prefer talking to someone in person rather than over text because that way she can read their facial features or hear the voice and try and pick up if she said something wrong or not. This always ins't a bulletproof plan, she doesn't pick up on ques that well but it gives her some kind of peace of mind.
"Ah yeah I did. But don't worry it's the thought that counts!" She said happily and then looked up at Jaejungs face. She probably looked a little odd because she was trying to figure out what age he might be. It must have looked like she was starring or something. When she realized she quickly shook her head. "Sorry I was just curious at how old you are and was trying to figure it out by how old you look." She starts out strong but by the end of the sentence she is mumbling. "Anyway, How old are you? That might be easier." She says with a soft laugh trying to just laugh it off
@★ Jeon Soyeon A soft, proud smile found it's way onto Jaejung's face as he'd correctly remembered Soyeon's name. He didn't actually know that many of the trainees, but he was pretty awful with names. Or rather, he was bad with putting names to faces. He was bad with social interaction in general, let's be real. He wasn't even really sure how he'd made it through the nineteen years he'd been on this Earth. Seeing her bracelet, his face lit up, smile increasing. "Oh hey-!" he was cut off when someone came up, trying to get through the door. Apologizing with a curt bow, he moved aside, subconsciously putting a hand on Soyeon's shoulder to guide her out of the way as well.
Reorienting himself to recall what they'd just been talking about, he grinned again. "Your bracelet- That's great!" He was genuinely glad that she found the bracelet. Despite no knowing if it held any sentimental value or not, Jaejung knew that he'd be crush if he lost anything somewhere as big as the company building. "And you don't have to thank me, I really wasn't much help," he admitted with a laugh.
@★ Park Jae Jung Soyeon instantly dropped eye contact out of embarrassment. Something about Jaejung was intimidating to her, this probably stemmed from his experience in starmaker and well his parents influence on the industry. If things were different he probably wasn't even that intimating to her if those things were not a reality. But overthinking was almost a Olympic sport for the nineteen year old. She looked down and noticed she had a silver bracelet on , she hadn't planned this but it just happened. One thing about Soyeon is lying wasn't really something she did very often but the feeling of needing to carry a conversation overturned that moral.
"ah... yeah that's my name." She said and offered a small smile. She mentally cursed herself and bit down on her lip. Why must she be so awkward... This has been something she's been trying so desperately to break. An idol needs some sense of charm. Even trainees can debut without any extreme talent in singing or dancing, just proficiency. But that means they are very charming and know how to please a crowed as well as connect with fans. Soyeon has a hard time connecting with anyone let alone a fan. " I'm glad you're doing good..." She trails off and holds up her wrist. " I found my bracelet finally. Thank you for trying to help me find it the other day." She says smiling sweetly.
@❤ Ahn Hyejin {Hwasa} The similarities between the estranged duo were alarming. He, too, felt like a fish out of water living amongst strangers. Anyone who he previously was acquainted with didn't seem ready to forgive his little disappearance act. With the pleasant exception of that dark haired beauty just waiting for an excuse to forget her troubles. At least that's what Johnny assumed considering he'd been able to muster a few sentences without being told to get lost.
Then again, why would she feel bothered at all by his absence? The two had only shared a few intimate moments before he'd vanished into dark nothingness, like he never existed in the first place. They lacked any sort of bond that would make Johnny Seo a memorable individual in Hwasa's life. Yet she'd stuck with him all this time, clawing at the back of his mind, desperate to return to the forefront. Initially the poor drunkard figured it was some deranged lust and nothing more. Now that the real woman stood before him in the flesh, he began questioning his true intentions.
"Oh, I've been absolutely horrific." The lanky male admitted with ease, his tone of voice uncharacteristically joyous matched with an expression of tainted mischief. Usually Johnny was one to remain reserved, keeping his innermost thoughts and issues strictly to himself. Somehow he felt he could be more open with her. He convinced himself it was because she clearly lied. The way she'd hesitated before answering was a dead giveaway. Despite being away for so long, it didn't take a genius to figure out the latest news. Word spread fast amongst the company of Pulse's tragic end. Hwasa couldn't have been feeling tip top amongst all that turmoil.
Opting not to pry for information, he rather was ready provide an implied solution. "I drink, I smoke, my sleeping habits are unpredictable, and the fact my professional reputation hasn't gone to is beyond me. In fact, I was just on my way to get a couple shots in my system after such a long day!" Johnny explained as he mirrored the other's movements upon a natural instinct, pressing his backside against the wall. He tilted his head down to better take in her ravishing features, mentally noting how she'd grown a thousand times more beautiful than he remembered. "Join me."
@★ Jeon Soyeon A long yawn escaped Jaejung's mouth as he excited the elevator into the main hall. Usually he would have taken the stairs, no matter how many flights because he was never in much of a rush to get anywhere, but this time his legs were killing him. He'd just started dance lessons and honestly couldn't be stuffed to take one flight, thus landing him in the elevators. He ducked his head in greeting to familiar faces, staff and trainees alike, as he made his way to the door. He was just raising his hand to push it open when he felt something touch his shoulder. The action startled him, but he hadn't jump as severely as a few days before, merely raising his shoulders in a single jerking motion. When he turned around, he was face to face with the same girl from before...Soyeon, he thinks.
It took a bit of a delay for him to even realize that she was talking to him as he'd been pulled back to the awkward events from their initial meeting. Once her words registered, however, he subconsciously reached up to rub the back of his neck, laughing awkwardly. "Oh, ah, I'm fine.." he said, trailing off as he didn't know how to carry the sudden conversation. He truthfully was fine. The slumped he'd been in was nothing new to him and it usually passed after a day or two. He usually woke up in the middle of the night with the perfect idea and would head to the nearest instrument to play the idea out, a proud grin on his face as everything came together. It was a vicious cycle, really, but it was pretty gratifying when things came through in the end. "Thanks, uh - Soyeon, right?"
@★ Park Jae Jung It was the end of the day and Soyeon was heading back to her dorms. It wasn't far off from the main building so it wasn't too bad of a walk. However she couldn't get the encounter she had with fellow trainee Park Jaejung out of her mind. Partly because she over thinks things and another part because she really did't understand why he had to put himself down so much. It made her sad in a sense. She thought he was probably one of the best trainee's they have, much better than herself at least. He didn't need to put himself down like that.
Deep in thought Soyeon almost missed the other male in front of him. He was walking out about the same time actually. Quickly she took out her headphones and without thinking she taps him on the shoulder. She felt awful and just wanted to run and hide, but it was too late he was turned around and staring right at her. "Oh um... How are you doing?" She asked and tried to smile the best she could. But she was actually panicking inside
@Johnny Seo It wasn't unusual for Hyejin to wander around the company at night. It was weird being in a dorm with new people and it was suffocating being in her house by herself. She knew it was her fault for Pulse disbanding, for the members leaving and for her now strained relationship with Jennie that was already fragile to begin with. She hadn't been a good leader nor a good friend. So when the CEO came to her and gave her the same positions she had within Pulse she was shocked. It overwhelmed her that someone still seemed to have faith in the fact that she could do a good job and with the reputation of her new company on her she was determined to not let anyone down.
Yet even with this new opportunity old habits die hard, and as usual Hyejin would seek solace from her tormented soul and mind in the form of a bottle of liquor she always kept handy. Always there for her like a faithful lover, ready to come to her aid whenever needed...which happened to be always. She eyed the flask in her hand as its contents called out to her, seducing her for just a taste despite the amount she had already consumed earlier that evening in her distress. It didn't take long for her to oblige and down the contents in seconds, stashing the now empty flask in her bag before leaning against the wall with a sigh.
As she gazed at the unfamiliar female before her in the reflection of the window she wondered when this had become her reality. It seemed as if every time something happened to her or her group, a piece of her soul was ripped away until now when there was barely anything left, if anything at all. From a young age she watched as every thing she went through dulled her eyes more and more until they looked as empty and lifeless as they do now. Her moment of self pity was interrupted by a new yet familiar voice and Hyejin found her breath hitching at the sight in the reflection. She was quick to turn around as if he was a mere illusion her intoxicated mind had decided to conjure up, though why she didn't truly understand. Sure they had had fun in the past, but that was then, before the male before her had all but disappeared on some journey of self discovery or some bull like that. Honestly she didn't care but she also couldn't help but be slightly curious. More so at the fact that he was in her company building, seemingly coming from practice and she found her head tilting in curiosity as she watched him. "Well if it isn't Johnny Seo. Aren't you a sight for sore eyes." A perfectly sculpted brow raised itself slightly as she appraised his new looks, trying to figure out just when he had become more attractive since the last time they met, though she blamed the thought on the alcohol running through her.
"It really has been a while hasn't it." She paused when he asked how she was feeling, for the truth was she didn't really know. She drank to numb herself so she wouldn't feel anything. How could she answer such a question with honesty? She had no idea so she did what she always did. She lied. Besides last she heard he had been in Paris, she didn't expect him to know anything about what had happened with Pulse. "I've been...good. Keeping busy with training you know, work is never done for an idol." She gave a hollow chuckle, the mirth not fully present as it should be in her eyes as she leaned against the wall in front of him. "What about you?"
