@♦ Jung Yunho "You are fortunate then." Wooseok mused softly, his gaze steady but contemplative. "You’re free to do the things you like and want. No bindings, no orders to follow. That freedom is a privilege in the world we live in." Though his tone remained even, there was a flicker of something deeper perhaps a quiet yearning for what he knew he could never have. Even if he wasn't a slave, the mere fact that he is run by programs and protocols put there by someone he doesn't even remember and for what reason was already slavery in itself.

The warlock’s kind words brought a faint, fleeting smile to his lips, barely noticeable but sincere. “Perhaps I am worth fixing... I like to think there’s a reason I met my master in the first place.” Wooseok admitted, finally learning to accept his own existence. There was a time when Wooseok might have questioned why he was saved at all, why he wasn’t left to rust and fade into the shadows. Yet deep down, he knew that he feared the eternal darkness more than anything else.

When Yunho spoke about nicknames, Wooseok tilted his head, an almost bashful look crossing his features. “I do apologize in advance if the name I come up with isn’t up to your standards.” he said sincerely. There was a subtle pressure he felt, wanting to do well in something as simple as naming his first official friend. It mattered to him, though he couldn’t quite explain why.

The questions about food and drink brought a thoughtful hum from the cyborg. “I do feel certain sensations.” he began, processing the memory, “but taste? I have none.” He nodded slightly as he recalled his past experiences. “I can feel the texture, the sensation of food or liquid traveling through my system, but the concept of flavor is... now foreign to me.” And when Yunho asked how he felt at that very moment, Wooseok paused. It was a question that required consideration, something he wasn’t used to. He weighed it carefully, scanning through the limited vocabulary he had to describe what he feels. Finally, he spoke. “I feel... adequate.” he said simply. For Wooseok, who was still learning what it meant to feel again in the best of his capabilities, “adequate” was perhaps the closest he could get to contentment.

He lingered on the thought for a moment before lifting his gaze, meeting Yunho’s curious eyes. “What about you?” he asked the other then. “How do you feel right now?” It was an unfamiliar but genuine attempt at continuing the conversation, a small gesture of reciprocity in this strange, new connection with someone who he can now call as friend.

@♦ Jung Yunho Jaejoong wasn't expecting a glass of martini to appear out of thin air. He was expecting a chair moving on its own or some sort of a familiar to appear. Eyes widen and lips curving into an amused smile, Jaejoong is pleased nonetheless and takes the beverage. However, he only hold it in his hand, swirling the beverage idly, "I'm not the type who likes to showcase my dragon form. Not even to someone as handsome as you. Not even for the money. Maybe next time, love," eyes darting towards the alcohol, a small sip is taken. Not that the potential of being drugged worries him, he's just simply not fond of alchoholic beverages, "you're gonna have to drink the rest for me. I'm not into alcohol," hand extends to give Yunho the beverage.

@♅ Shin ¥ Sen paused mid bite, Shin's words rolling over him like thunder in an empty valley. He blinked twice, trying to decide if the stranger beside him was pulling his leg or if he'd just stumbled into the kind of story most people would sell their soul to hear. "Angel of Wrath and Justice, huh?" Sen echoed with a nod of his head, his lips curving into a fascinated grin. "Destroyer of Worlds and Bringer of the Blood Rains? That’s… quite the resume." He leaned back in his chair, his food momentarily forgotten as he studied Shin’s face, trying to read between the lines of his calm demeanor and cryptic statements. Sen’s mind raced, piecing together the fragments Shin had handed him like a puzzle. Stripped of his powers? Betrayed by angels? He had so many questions that his tongue itched to ask, but the man’s air of quiet authority gave him pause. There was something about the other, something heavy, like the weight of countless centuries and unspeakable experience that made him tread lightly.

And then came the question. "Do you believe in God?" It was such a simple thing to ask, yet it hung in the air like a challenge, daring Sen to answer. He rubbed the back of his neck, suddenly feeling the weight of the conversation as though he'd walked into something far deeper than he'd anticipated. "That’s a complicated question." Sen admitted after a moment, his voice quieter, more introspective. "I mean, I grew up hearing about Him. Faith, prayer, salvation, the whole package. But do I believe?" He shrugged, his grin fading into something more pensive. "I wouldn’t say I believe in any one God, but I’m sure there’s some greater force out there behind all of this..." Sen said, gesturing vaguely around him with a soft chuckle, his attempt to keep things light betraying the curiosity flickering in his eyes. "So, what’s it like? Being one of the first? Must’ve been... lonely I imagine. All that power, all those titles, and yet here you are, having to deal with a guy who’s got more questions than sense."

Sen’s gaze lingered on Shin, his grin returning, though this time it held a quieter warmth. "If you’re about to dive into stories of angels and blood rains, the least I can do is buy you another round. Feels like the kind of tale that pairs well with a drink." With that, he signaled to the barkeep again, ordering drinks for himself and his unexpected companion.

@〄 Byun Wooseok ¥✔ “It’s good to hear your master has a good heart!” The warlock said gently, he couldn’t imagine how it felt to belong to someone like that. “No one ever owned me… So I have no idea how you feel about that.” He said honestly and smiled when hearing his next words.
“I’m glad to hear he did that- you seem to be really worth fixing.” Yunho said honestly, enjoying his company he didn’t really mind what the other was but cared about how he was gentle and sweet with him.

To hear the cyborg being so unsure of his words almost made him pout, he looked at him with warm eyes. “Very sure.” The warlock confirmed his statement, seeing the look from him only made him smile more. Wooseok was really cute. “I’m glad to be your first official friend and I look forward to my future nickname!” His voice was gentle, curious to see what nickname the other could give him.

“Oh so you don’t need all of those, this is actually very cool- but how do you feel when you eat and drink?” His eyes were filled with sparkly curiosity. “I don’t think it’s strange at all, but just magnificent! You are such a unique creature and you are alive! How do you feel right now?” Yunho asked him gently, he wanted to know more about him as he had never met a cyborg before and he had so many questions but still he didn’t want to annoy him.

@❖ Kim Jaejoong “Cool trick?” He chuckled at the little request, flicking his fingers together. He made a glass with apple martini appear close to Jaejoong. “Thirsty?” Yunho smiled softly as the glass was in the air still, close to the other guy. “I did, but not from a close view… I see… I am very curious, I have to admit.” The warlock said with a calm voice even when his eyes filled with excitement. “You should go around and show it off, you are a very beautiful creature.” His voice was soft with him, nodding slowly. “In that case, what would it take to make you transform into dragon form?” His eyes scanned the other with curiosity, wondering if he could somehow make him show him somehow that form of himself.

Wooseok nodded softly at the mention of his master. “My master is kind and treats me well. I guess I’m lucky.” he said with a quiet gratitude. “Not all masters or mistresses are like that, I know. But he found me when I was almost broken and has been doing his best to fix me ever since, even though it hasn’t been easy.” A faint smile curved his lips, one filled with genuine appreciation. “He’s probably the only reason I’m still functioning now, after coming so close to shutting down for good.”

When Yunho mentioned wanting to be his friend, Wooseok blinked, caught off guard by the sincerity in the other’s voice. “Are you sure?” he asked hesitantly, though there was a flicker of excitement in his tone. The idea of having someone to call a friend felt almost foreign but deeply welcomed. He studied Yunho’s face for any sign that he might just be saying it to make him feel better, but the warmth in his smile seemed genuine. And when Yunho started calling him “Seokie.” it was hard not to believe him. “Well…” Wooseok began, the determination lighting up his expression. “I don’t have a nickname for you yet, but I’ll think of a good one. It has to be special since you’re my first… official friend.” he said with a small, resolute nod.

As the conversation shifted back to the topic of drinking and eating, Wooseok tilted his head thoughtfully. “I don’t have any need for water, food, or even sleep.” he explained, reaching up to lightly tap his chest. Beneath his clothing, the soft, steady hum of his glowing core pulsed faintly. “As long as this is running, you could say I’m… alive, in a way.” He paused, his gaze meeting Yunho’s again. “It’s a little strange, isn’t it? But it’s the closest thing to life I know.”

@♦ Sen Mitsuji Quietly eating the first few bits Shin didn’t pay much attention to the man next to him. He was listening not missing a question but also taking his time replying after all he didn’t want his food to get cold. After a moment he lowered his cutlery and turned his attention back to the man. “Shin.” He introduced himself. After another moment of silence, he finally decided to give the man something to feed his curiosity. “Angel of Rath and Justice, The Defender of Faith and Death to the Faithless. Destroyer of Worlds and Bringer of the Blood Rains.” He sighed returning his attention to his food. “At least that is what they called me before I was stripped of my powers. I was one of the first angels to be created so I am as old as creation itself since we were created before God created his world.”

With that Shin was sure Sen would have enough to go crazy with and thus he went quiet again to wait for further questions. He was familiar with this kind of people. Always on the search for something thrilling always looking for the story behind the story. Always just need that little more. At least that was his first impression of the man next to him. He had seen many humans like that many of which had broken out of the realm God had created for them and just like Sen had found a broader more interesting world.

He used to be able to see the truth about a human with one glance. After all, as the righteous hand of god, human faith was his to call. But now that he was just a slave sold out and betrayed by the angels of heaven he had lost the ability to see truth within human hearts. He still was able to give a good judgment about a person's character but only because he had lived long enough to have seen it all. With a sigh, he lowered his cutlery again. “Do you believe in God?” He asked the man next to him. Not that it mattered after all once humans left God’s realm they were no longer under the governance of angels but it still was a question of interest to him.

@〄 Byun Wooseok ¥✔ () aw i wanna give him a big hug, poor baby ;;

Yunho was really pretty amused to be around a cyborg, seeing how special and unique he was even when the other guy didn’t seem to notice it himself. It felt very nice speaking with him, he was very intelligent and kind. Not just everyone was this nice, he knew that even when he was very charming it wasn’t too hard for him to get along with just anyone.

The smile he received from him was so sweet and sincere and made his own smile appear automatically. “Oh so you have a master? What is it like? I always wondered how it feels to belong to someone in that way.” He was asking in real curiosity, hoping he didn’t offend him somehow. “Of course you don’t have to answer that if it makes you uncomfortable!” He added right away. His eyes turned quite sad when the other guy told him he didn’t know if they were his friends, it didn’t feel right to him to hear such a thing. “Well i don’t know about them but if you don’t mind… I would like to be your friend!” His voice was sweet as he really meant it, even he would give him a hug if he was sure the other wouldn’t get away but right now he wasn’t sure so he kept his hands to himself.

Yunho nodded happily. “Yes! Seokie it’s your nickname! You can give me a nickname too if you would like!” He had the same charming smile all over his face. “Wait, really? When you drink you feel nothing? This is so cool you can drink so much! But it never affected you before? What about human food?” He was very curious, scanning the other with his eyes, enjoying his company very much.

He chuckled softly at the stunning guy, his eyes opened in surprise and excitement when hearing he was a dragon. "Wow- this is quite amazing." Even with the apron Jaejoong looked so stunning, he smile to himself a bit as he went to check other things for now.

When he returned he was checking his new worker he was smiling when he saw how the beautiful guy made tips so easily like he thought he would. Seeing the other was in a break his eyes looked at him with curiosity, leaning on the wall next to him he saw the other was in pain he was sitting next to him. "Are you alright?" A staff hands him an apron, which he gladly received and put on. The towel and the spray are stows inside the pockets of the apron and Jaejoong goes to clean a vacant table once another staff cleared it.

As he serves drinks and clean, he receives quite an amount of tips from patrons - men and women. Jaejoong is smiling from ear to ear and regardless of the growing cramp in his jaw, he keeps it on for the sake of money, "that hurts," he hiss softly when he takes a break outside at the back of the establishment. A cigarette lights up and a cloud of smoke exhaled. Jaejoong takes a seat on a chair and rubs at a left jaw to ease the cramp.

@♦ Jung Yunho Meeting other races had been an eye opening experience for Wooseok. He had observed their unique strengths and abilities but it only served to amplify his struggles with himself. How could he compare when his own existence felt fractured, and uncertain? Still, there was something oddly comforting in Yunho's words.

Wooseok's lips curved into a faint smile as he responded, appreciating Yunho’s concern. “Well, I’ve met some kind people along the way, and my master is definitely one of the kindest. But…” He hesitated before continuing, “I wouldn’t dare to say they’re my friends. It’s hard to know if someone’s just being kind or if they really see me as… someone worth befriending.” He spoke honestly. Shrugging, he glanced down at the empty glass in his hand. “I guess I don’t want to assume something that might not be true. Friends…” He trailed off, the word unfamiliar in a way that made him wonder if he’d ever truly experienced it before.

As Yunho spoke again, Wooseok couldn’t help but chuckle softly, his optics flickering briefly at the sound of the nickname. “Seokie?” he echoed, his tone surprised and amused. A faint smile spread across his face as he tilted his head. “I suppose that’s me, isn’t it? No one’s called me that before.” He looked back at Yunho, the warmth of the moment settling into something strangely comfortable. “Well, if drinking is what you want to do, I can drink as much as you want me to.” He nodded toward the glasses, already two deep without a hint of intoxication showing. “Though, I’m afraid I might not be the best drinking partner. I don’t… feel much from these, you know?” There was a playful glint in his eyes now, a rare lightness in his demeanor. It wasn’t much, but in Yunho’s company, Wooseok felt just a little less like a machine and a little more like someone who belonged.

@♅ Shin ¥ Sen had always been drawn to the kind of individuals who carried an air of mystery about them, and the stranger radiated it effortlessly. Even as the man’s somewhat forced smile hinted at a preference for solitude, Sen couldn't help but feel an odd sense of fascination. Perhaps it was the way he nonchalantly spoke of being as old as creation itself. Whatever it was, Sen was already hooked.

"I do apologize for the commotion earlier." Sen began with sincerity. His habit of getting involved in situations he shouldn't be in is admittedly a flaw he’d yet to work on. However, he wasn’t one to let an opportunity for an interesting encounter slip away. The man, clearly intent on enjoying his meal without further interruptions, still gave no indication of discouragement when Sen motioned for the barkeep. “I’ll have what he’s having.” Sen said cheerfully, his curiosity now fully piqued. He turned back to the stranger. "Old as creation itself, huh?" he murmured, almost to himself. After all, It wasn’t often you stumbled upon someone willing to make such a bold claim. Whether it was a bluff, a jest, or a hidden truth, Sen knew he’d stick around long enough to find out.

When the barkeep returned with his food, Sen thanked him with a nod and eagerly dove into the plate, realizing he’d been hungrier than he thought. Between dodging angry mobs and chasing leads, he’d hardly had a moment to stop and eat. His first bite was blissful, and for a brief moment, the hum of satisfaction he let out matched the stranger's earlier quiet contentment. "I'm Sen, by the way." he said after swallowing, his tone softer now. "What’s your name, Mr.?" He smiled, genuinely curious but careful not to push too hard.

@〄 Byun Wooseok ¥✔ “Yeah we are unexpected creatures too, I guess…” He chuckled softly, it was the first time he was thinking about it. After all, being there with angels, demons, and more magical creatures really made him feel not unique at all. He learned all his magic powers but the other creatures burned with amazing abilities like flying and entering into dreams easily, or shooting fire from their mouths. To hear the other chuckling made him smile himself, it was nice. The cyborg was unique in his eyes even when he seemed not to feel special at all.

To hear he was alone in this world made him feel sad, to lose someone important was too hard so to have no one must feel terrible. “I’m sorry to hear that Wooseok… but I hope you have new friends?” he asked with curiosity and quite worry. Not wanting the other to feel lonely even when he barely knew him.

The warlock was smiling widely again when the cyborg seemed to really enjoy his little tricks. “Glad you like it!” He said with a bright smile over his face. “Indeed, please don’t refuse.” He chuckled softly and was glad to see him taking the glass, lifting it up as well before he was drinking the tequila, humming softly at the warm feeling of the alcohol. “It feels nice… drinking with you, Seokie…” He said to him honestly, giving him that nickname without thinking much about it.

@♦ Sen Mitsuji Shin had just sat down with a nice warm meal and some free time when the door was slammed open. Following the man with his eyes, he let out a sigh. Just what he needed… Someone ruining his precious moments of free time. He didn’t react just quietly put down his spoon decisively. After all, if someone was hiding there was always someone following to search. So in order not to be disturbed by this ruckus again he was just waiting for the scene to play out before continuing with his food. And… he was right as a group of men crashed through the door asking for the one who just went into hiding.

Shin didn’t care much for things like this but he did value his time and his quiet so when he knew that there would be a big commotion happening soon he tried his best to avoid it. Best way to do that. Sent the loudest guys somewhere else and since the man in the barrel hadn’t been all that loud while the burly guy with the red beard had been growling and huffing the moment he had come in. Catching the big guy's eyes he discreetly pointed towards one of the side doors of the tavern the one that led to the small ally beside the tavern and then deeper into the labyrinth of the city once someone managed to slip away in that direction they would be impossible to find. Lucky for Shin it seemed like the burly man took his hint and ran with it leaving soon after arriving.

And finally, peace was returned to his meal well at least for a few moments before someone appeared on the seat next to him. Just humming along in reply he didn’t pay much attention. He wasn’t rude so he didn’t just ignore the man but there was also no point in giving a serious reply not while he was just talking without even bothering to wait for a reply. Taking a deep breath and letting it out solely Shin turned his attention back to his food. He didn’t have a lot of time to indulge in such luxury after all food was mostly substant to keep you from fading and running out of energy anything quickly eaten most times cold was the perfect solution. But once in a while a warm meal eaten while sitting down with nothing else on one’s mind was the perfect indulgence.

Finally, some quiet when the man next to him started scribbling in his journal… Only to once again be interrupted. “Right now I am very much trying to enjoy some peace and quiet to eat a warm meal. After all, it is a luxury I’m not often able to enjoy. Normally I would sell my time to you however seeing your enthusiasm… How about joining me for a meal?” He asked the stranger with a slightly forced but also slightly genuine smile. “This way you can ask your questions while I can enjoy my food. I’m sure you will find some interesting tales in my story after all I am about as old a creation itself.” Shin smiled softly this time it was truly genuine. And with that, he left the other to his decision finally getting to enjoy the first few bits of food.

@♦ Jung Yunho "True..." Wooseok echoed as he considered the notion of dragons being magical. "But humans are just as magical in their own way. They can do unimaginable things when faced with adversity, don’t you think?" There was a quiet admiration in his tone. After all, humans' resilience and ingenuity were qualities that should be respected. The praise from Yunho made Wooseok shake his head slightly, though he couldn’t help the faint trace of warmth in his usually serious demeanor. "Well, I have my enhancements to thank for that." he replied with a low chuckle, the sound more genuine than mechanical. His expression softened, mirroring the brightness in the other's smile.

As Yunho asked about his past his gaze dropped momentarily before he responded a bit quietly. "Unfortunately, anyone I knew or who knew me has probably... passed away by now." The words were deliberate, almost as if he needed to hear them himself. He’d long suspected that uncovering his past was futile, but saying it aloud added an unexpected finality.

The sudden display of Yunho’s magical skill caught Wooseok’s attention, his optics adjusting and focusing intently. The fluid movements of the floating glass and bottle fascinated him. "That’s... neat." he remarked, his tone unusually casual, as if Yunho’s presence made him feel more at ease. And when the glass of tequila landed before him, Wooseok looked at it curiously. He nodded at Yunho’s offer, his lips curving into a small smile. "It would be rude to refuse, wouldn’t it?" he replied, lifting the glass carefully. Though he wasn’t sure what tequila was, he trusted Yunho enough to try. "Cheers." he added softly, slightly lifting up the glass towards the other .

From afar, the noise coming from the establishment can be heard. The Brass Kraken is a popular spot to unwind after a long day so it's no surprise it's a full house almost every night.

The door swings open, revealing a man in a white long sleeves shirt with a dark brown button up vest, and a pair of matching pants. He walks up to the bar when he spots a man tending the used drinking glasses. The flyer is presented on the counter top, "still looking?" His tone tinges with hope that they still are. Jaejoong needs the money for his rent that's due next week.

@♦ Taylor Zakhar Perez "Just a little?" Wooseok asked with genuine curiosity, his tone reflecting his literal interpretation of the warlock's modest remark. When Taylor called him "magical" Wooseok tilted his head slightly, the idea clearly not agreeing with him. "I'm more mechanical than magical." he corrected gently, his gaze shifting briefly to his mechanical arm as he placed it carefully back on the counter. "Without these enhancements, I'm nothing." he added with blunt honesty, his words carrying a weight that suggested he truly believed it. Despite his statement, his smile remained faint but sincere. "And no need to thank me. I'm simply stating the truth." he replied, referring to his earlier compliment about the other's smile.

When Taylor leaned in with his question, Wooseok's expression shifted, becoming more serious. "What is there to say?" he murmured, his optics flickering subtly as though processing the inquiry. "I was once a human." he continued, his voice tinged with an undertone of uncertainty. "And now I'm a cyborg, but I don’t really recall why or how I came to be." He paused, his gaze meeting the male's with some sort of vulnerability, shrugging a bit like he had nothing more to say about himself. "And what about you?" he asked in return. Deep down, he hoped the other had far more intriguing things to share than he did.

@〄 Byun Wooseok ¥ The other seemed quite interested when he said he was a warlock, even when he used his skills just when he needed to or wanted to flirt he looked like a normal human to anyone if they didn’t know him. “I might be a little interesting.” He replied and chuckled softly, after all he was a very skilled warlock so it was true he was special.”What about you? I never met a cyborg before, you look quite magical to me.” Taylor said honestly to the other.

The smile never left his face when he was holding his hand. “Pleasure to meet you, Wooseok.” He said with his soft voice, but when hearing him out he chuckled and smiled even brighter. “Is that so? Thank you so much, kind sir.” The warlock said with a polite voice as well, it was nice to know the other liked his smile. His eyes were staring at him with much interest. “What more can you tell me about yourself except your name?” He was leaning a bit against the table, wanting to have a closer look at him. He was handsome and unique in his eyes, he didn’t know much about cyborgs.

@♅ Shin ¥ The tavern door slammed open, drawing the attention of almost everyone inside. A man in a worn traveler’s coat burst through with an ever mischievous grin plastered across his face. “Good evening, fine folks!” he declared, tipping an imaginary hat. His voice was smooth and cheerful, almost too much so for someone clearly in a hurry. Without waiting for a response, he darted toward the far corner, eyes scanning for a suitable hiding spot. Spotting a sturdy barrel stacked beside the bar, he crouched behind it just as the door flew open again. This time, three burly men entered, their eyes blazing with fury. One of them, a mountain of a man with a red beard, stomped toward the bar.

“We’re looking for a scrawny man with a big mouth.” the man growled, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword. “With an attitude that makes you want to strangle him.” He added. The bartender, a seasoned man who had seen far worse, shrugged and kept polishing a glass. “Ain’t seen anyone like that.” he said with indifference. The leader cursed under his breath, glancing around the room. “If you see him, tell him to stay far away from married women unless he wants to meet my fists up close.” With a final glare, the group stomped out, slamming the door behind them.

A moment of silence followed before the barrel moved, and the man behind it emerged, brushing off his coat as if nothing had happened. “Well, that was thrilling.” he said with a chuckle, running a hand through his hair. His grin widened as he turned to the nearest patron, a stranger seated at the bar. “Funny how these things always work out." he mused, sliding onto the empty stool beside them. “Makes me want a drink. Care to join me?” But without waiting for a reply, he waved down the bartender. “Something strong and adventurous, if you please!” he ordered cheerfully before pulling out a leather bound journal. Flipping it open, he began scribbling notes, his pen dancing across the page with ease.

“Just another day in the life of Sen Mitusji..” he murmured to himself with a wry smile, conveniently omitting the part where his charm had almost gotten him killed again. “And what about you, stranger? Any interesting tales worth sharing?” he asked, glancing at the person beside him with a spark of genuine curiosity.

I still remember joining RPR 6 years ago and seeing this. Can’t believe it’s still ongoing to this day. All of you did a great job in maintaining the RP’s lifespan \^^/ Happy 6 years, yall!

I’ve contemplated and decided: May I have Lee Taeyong as a cyborg, please?

We appreciate your application to the Ivory of the Mist community.

Until further notice, we are currently not accepting any more Demons, Wolves, Humans/mage, Hybrids, Kitsune, Vampire, or Shapeshifters due to the imbalance of races. We are currently seeking Angels, Dragons, Ghouls, Merfolk, Fairies, and Cyborgs. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Once the population in the 13 Kingdoms is balanced, we encourage you to reapply for your desired race.

Kind regards, Prince Hendery
