@c chanhee α “Did you?” The omega raises one eyebrow, and then the second. “You’ve been receiving treatment from doctor song? Perhaps she didn’t transfer me the whole file then.” He swivels back quickly, typing rapidly into the computer behind him, expression slowly changing to one of interest. “...Hm.” Taeyong drawls, sliding back to gauge Chanhee with an unreadable expression. “You said you’ve been feeling worse. Explain.”

@l taeyong Ω The doctor's words completely caught him off-guard, and Chanhee froze for a moment. He wasn't exactly expecting... well, anything like that. And then, when he mentioned how there was nothing documented about his therapy, he simply shook his head. "No, that can't be true", he responded, habitually running his fingers through his hair, "I've had... something like system dysfunction, and i've talked to doctor song about it, we talked about the whole procedure. Puberty never really set in for me. I started my treatment a few years ago, and I'm feeling progressively worse with what it's doing to me. I've had-" He bit back a hitched breath before he continued; "That /has/ to be a mistake."

@c chanhee α "That's what everybody says." Taeyong snips right back, not interested in going over the usual routine of beating around the bush. "But transitioning is never the way people imagine it to be." The next words, however, catch him off-guard. "Why are you taking hormone injections?" Leaning back slightly in his chair, he scans the patient profile in his hands with eyebrows furrowed. "Those are usually only assigned to those with system dysfunction or need to recover from surgery. And your file indicates that you're neither of those cases."

@l taeyong Ω After years of suffering through his monthly hormone injections to make Chanhee the alphaj he was supposed to be, he only felt burdened, worn out, and disconnected with himself. After reflecting for some time, he'd managed to make up his mind - he wanted to cancel his current treatment in exchange for the opportunity to transition. The way Chanhee was brought up certainly left some scars on him, and after socialising for about four years and starting to really mingle in clubs and such for merely a few weeks, Chanhee knew that his role in this world wasn't one of an alpha's.
"I'm not in the right body, doctor", he blurted out without further ado, the spark in the young lad's eyes long lost as the words rolled off his tongue, "and getting these alpha hormones injected onth after month makes it only worse."

And Taeyong had to say, the number of people that he's seen step through those doors were not few in the least- but how many of those truly stuck it out until the end? It was a long and difficult process, and when he listed out all of the potential complications, only too many lost their courage. So why him, you ask? It was only because Yuqi was all too nice, giving people false hope when there wasn't any and leading to too many regretting it halfway through- which was only worse. So Taeyong and his eternal resting face was a good match for scaring off the uncertain, like this one coming through his doors, surely. The omega lifted his eyes coldly to the stranger, gesturing for him to take a seat. "What are you here for?"
