chapter one。

Amren has always been the forgotten daughter. The youngest, the least talented, the weakest. Where her sisters performed feats of magic, Amren struggled to perform even the most simple siren call. Her pod doted on her older sisters where she would be left with the scraps, and so Amren learned to fight for what she wanted. And fight vicious. Though try as she might, her progress was slow and where she excelled in using her physical body to beat even the best of them, as long as her magic remained weak, Amren would never be seen as a true mermaid in her families eyes. And so she left. Amren would prove her sisters and mother wrong, her whole pod wrong, she was strong, she was the best they would ever see and she would make them acknowledge her. No matter what she had to do to gain that respect.

Fast and subtle, Amren is not a brawler, instead she uses her small stature and non-threatening demeanour to throw her opponent off. Her tactics are vicious and dirty, a fair fight does not exist in her repotoire; Amren will gladly stab you in the back the second she can.

Amren wields two weapons; the chakram and the sword.

pearl generation perhaps the only redeeming quality about Amren, according to her family, and yet another thing to make her stand apart. Amren is the only mermaid from her pod with the ability to cry pearls. She even might be the only mermaid in the world to do so.

accelerated healing if Amren submerged herself in water, her body is able to heal itself at supernatural rates. Minor cuts and scrapes will heal in moments, deeper wounds will only take a matter of hours. Salt water works best, but fresh will do in a pinch.

siren call currently an unknown power, on top of not being able to control water like her sisters can, Amren's siren song is particularly weak. Despite being told that she would never amount to more than a hum, Amren knows that she has it deep within her. It's just waiting to be let out. ~~hint: jibaro.~~

fire / heat Amren is incredibly susceptible to the heat; even being around a campfire will cause her to dry out and crave water. Her skin will burn easily, skipping right to 2nd and 3rd degree burns the longer she is exposed to an open fire.

constant hydration along with the head, Amren needs to stay constantly hydrated; dehydration can be deadly for her, made worse by her weakness to heat. She has found ways to combat this; she will always have a pitcher of water with her to so she can drink as she needs too, she is known to take private midday baths and when she can, she will sleep in her private pool over her bedchambers. Too long without water(3-4 days) of minimal to no water exposure, and Amren will likely die.

susceptible to human illnesses Amren has a slightly lower body temperature than average and is weak to human disease; a common cold can incapacitate her for days.

weak throat though Amren is a hardened fighter, even she has her Achilles heel; that being . As a human, her gills are no more than pale scars and hidden under elaborate necklaces, but they are still incredibly sensitive. Any trauma to will cause severe trauma and pain, including incapacitating her. This can include gagging her, choking her, physically harming , etc.

important。 I'm very flexible about how we actually rp and will work at your pace if possible. Like, I can do one lining script all the way to novella, in both 1st and 3rd pov. I'm really chill with whatever you wanna do!

writing & plotting style

writing style。 I do script and para to novella. Script is generally done in 3rd pov, while para is done in 1st or 3rd pov. Lengthwise, I try to mirror, but I can get carried away fairly easy, so it's not guaranteed.

Feel free to ask me for a re-write if you are not satisfied with what you were given. Be polite. If you have a specific idea in mind then please do share with me and I will do my best to incorporate it. Please know that if you do this to me, you give me full permission to do it back.

You are more than welcome to godmod my character in various ways as long as it a.) helps move the story along or b.) makes sense for my character to perform said action in the situation. This does not mean you can control my characters emotions or speech but if you need them to sit down or to fall to the ground after being attacked, then please do so. Please note that I will do this to your character unless you explicitly tell me not too..

plotting style。 I prefer plotting over winging most times, but I can work on the fly. My personal preference is too work out finer details towards the start of the plot and come up with specific plot points to work towards; while i'm ok with leaving things vague enough so that creativity can do its thing, i also like setting goals for my characters.

I'd like to say that I respect my own rule about wanting to be approached with an idea in mind but honestly, if I like the sound of your character enough, I'll probably jump the gun and ask you to plot.

To be honest, I like writing starters and will most times if I know what I'm doing and if it makes sense for me to do it. If it makes sense for the plot to start with your character then, well, you know what you have to do!.

activity & reply speed

My replies are on the slower side of things because I'm a full time worker, a chronic procrastinator and have outside commitments from rpr and work. Do not poke me unless it has been five ( 5 ) days and I have not given you an update, it'll just push your reply to the back of the line and you'll have to wait longer. Sometimes my muse just happens to run low or I'm vibing with another roleplay plot more, it's nothing personal and I'll get back to you soon :)

With replies, I'll respect your rules regarding poking and reply speed of course but if it has been three ( 3 ) weeks and I've received nothing (and you're not on hiatus), then consider the plot dropped. I'll pick it up if you decide to respond but I will not be chasing you up for replies.

Don't give me a one liner more than three times in a row. I understand muse and inspiration wavers but when I get little to no effort from you over and over again, then I will drop the plot without warning. I am ok with waiting longer for a reply if you need it, just let me know first. I'm a super patient person.

Communicate. Communicate. Communicate. It's easy to forget things but if you need a break from the plot, need to change it up or even drop it entirely, then tell me.
