history

chapter one。

Olivian would find little difference between living on the streets and living in a familial home; at least in the streets, he could devise quick-witted schemes to keep himself out of the armoured grasps of Kronic guards.

The warm hearth of a fireplace would remain a childish dream as he sought shelter in the streets of Magneum City. Instead, Olivian and the band of ragtag children would master the ways of manipulation, for how else would they acquire their next meal? Olivian would learn how to quirk his brow, soften his expression, and draw out just the right amount of pity. After all, who could deny a starving child a slice of burnt bread?

It was during these years that Olivian would learn of his skill in invisibility, disappearing into the crowds after pick-pocketing an unsuspecting merchant in the streets. It was easy to be unseen when you were but one of thousands of young beggar boys, but it was another to vanish into thin air as if you never existed in the first place. Olivian would continue to remain undetectable as he slipped in and out of increasingly challenging situations; until he thought that perhaps he was invincible.

He would be proven sorely mistaken as he attempted his biggest heist yet: stealing from the king himself. Olivian would never remember the next 24 hours, only waking up chained on a slavers boat to Zoraq, where he was to be made into a slave.

The slavers would not get that far. The wild folk of the Sierra Luna would come in the night, burning all that bore the Kronos symbol until nothing but a group of terrified children would remain.

Olivian, his brothers and sisters would be taken to nomadic camps and placed with families that would care for them as their own. For Olivian, he would be placed with a fearsome group of hunters and learn the ways of the wild. His skills of disappearing were valuable, Olivian even becoming renowned for them.

There's also a chance I may end up giving him some elf heritage(like.. a grandparent as most, most likely a more distant ancestor). it depends if i decide i want to pursue the lost family story arc?

- the mercenary work is his least important job, he is a ranger first, a spy second. he doesn't particularly enjoy being a spy or mercenary but he knows that times are hard and he has to do what he has to do.

❛ ‏original background ❜ Olivian is a man who bears a thousand names and a hundred faces but the small few that he would bear a glimpse of his past would know this; Olivian would never know where his blood family may hail from, that his life course would be forever altered when a fearsome clan native to the Sierra Lunari took him into their nomadic camp, and that you may very well have crossed paths him before, yet you would never know it.

Powerful, evasive, fluid. Olivian is talented in forms of hand to hand combat but his preferred style is that of disarming his opponent and dealing a final devastating blow. He is light and quick on his feet, able to roll out of the way with a seconds notice and will keep moving to disorient his opponent.

Olivian is known to use many distracting tactics; such as smoke pellets, glass shards and more if he feels that he's being backed into a corner. But while you may feel that you need to watch his feet, I would suggest keeping an eye on his hands.

A thief is a master at the slight of hand and if you don't pay attention.. Well, that's a very nice stab wound you have there.

before you approach me

important。 I'm very flexible about how we actually rp and will work at your pace if possible. Like, I can do one lining script all the way to novella, in both 1st and 3rd pov. I'm really chill with whatever you wanna do!

writing & plotting style

writing style。 I do script and para to novella. Script is generally done in 3rd pov, while para is done in 1st or 3rd pov. Lengthwise, I try to mirror, but I can get carried away fairly easy, so it's not guaranteed.

Feel free to ask me for a re-write if you are not satisfied with what you were given. Be polite. If you have a specific idea in mind then please do share with me and I will do my best to incorporate it. Please know that if you do this to me, you give me full permission to do it back.

You are more than welcome to godmod my character in various ways as long as it a.) helps move the story along or b.) makes sense for my character to perform said action in the situation. This does not mean you can control my characters emotions or speech but if you need them to sit down or to fall to the ground after being attacked, then please do so. Please note that I will do this to your character unless you explicitly tell me not too..

plotting style。 I prefer plotting over winging most times, but I can work on the fly. My personal preference is too work out finer details towards the start of the plot and come up with specific plot points to work towards; while i'm ok with leaving things vague enough so that creativity can do its thing, i also like setting goals for my characters.

I'd like to say that I respect my own rule about wanting to be approached with an idea in mind but honestly, if I like the sound of your character enough, I'll probably jump the gun and ask you to plot.

To be honest, I like writing starters and will most times if I know what I'm doing and if it makes sense for me to do it. If it makes sense for the plot to start with your character then, well, you know what you have to do!.

activity & reply speed

My replies are on the slower side of things because I'm a full time worker, a chronic procrastinator and have outside commitments from rpr and work. Do not poke me unless it has been five ( 5 ) days and I have not given you an update, it'll just push your reply to the back of the line and you'll have to wait longer. Sometimes my muse just happens to run low or I'm vibing with another roleplay plot more, it's nothing personal and I'll get back to you soon :)

With replies, I'll respect your rules regarding poking and reply speed of course but if it has been three ( 3 ) weeks and I've received nothing (and you're not on hiatus), then consider the plot dropped. I'll pick it up if you decide to respond but I will not be chasing you up for replies.

Don't give me a one liner more than three times in a row. I understand muse and inspiration wavers but when I get little to no effort from you over and over again, then I will drop the plot without warning. I am ok with waiting longer for a reply if you need it, just let me know first. I'm a super patient person.

Communicate. Communicate. Communicate. It's easy to forget things but if you need a break from the plot, need to change it up or even drop it entirely, then tell me.
