"i was quite nervous too, mainly because of the pressure of wanting to do well in order to help you out," yeji confesses, pausing for a moment before mirroring his smile, "i'm thankful you're putting your trust in me, i would've understood if you didn't take the offer for numerous of reasons." her offer did sound too good to be true, after all, it's often the appealing and ideal situations that have a catch to it. though yeji wasn't looking for anything in return, she's helping out purely because she felt like it and she hopes renjun knew that. well, she'll definitely let him know. yeji shakes her head in response, a sound of disagreement escaping her lips as she refutes with a gentle smile, "whether i knew the directions or not, you still put effort and consideration which deserves appreciation. not everyone does it, you know."

the expression on his face causes her to stifle a small laugh, raising her hand slightly as she apologises, "sorry, that was a bit dramatic of me." instinctively her eyebrows subtly furrow at his hand gesture, refraining herself from nagging him about the importance of having a full meal by immediately answering his question, bargaining a little, evident by her rather cheeky smile, "you can treat me to a drink, if you let me treat you to a snack."

"nah nah, of course it was me. but I don't really think I'm funny guy but if you said so, I must be one. heh. but thanks for the compliments. I think your dressed up are nice too. it's makes you looks confident and I like that in woman. " mumbles him as he chuckles. "well at least I flirted with a right girl ? ,,I mean look at you ? you're pretty and cute too. ahem." said him as he rubs his nape and smiles awkwardly. "sure thing then, do you want me to use my phone or your phone ? how bout I used mine and later I'll send it to you?" asked him a little bit nervous.

"who else but you~ am I talking to anyone else right now? hahaha. and yeah, I do like the way you dress, you're neat." her eyes widened at the mentioned of babe, then giving a little squint back with shake of her head, a 'tsktsk' escaping her lips. "and you say you're not hitting on a girl, but here you are, clearly flirting with me." her gaze on the sky quickly focused back down to the male, surprised at his talent but photography being reminiscent of her ex, the one she still can't let go, and she was intrigued at how this stranger, well, not a stranger anymore, could pull it off in his own way. "hmm~ do it then, take pictures of me and i'll see. who knows, maybe i'll get you to be my photographer for one of my makeup shoots!"

"you're unbelievable but if you said so then it's alright with me. oh so you like my dressed up ? thanks but I'll try to help you somehow? and yes please take your time, no rush babe." said him as he nodded before he realized that the words slipped. "I mean, dohyun sshi. I'm sorry." mark watched her in amusement before he looks up at the sky as well. "the view is so pretty... do you want me to take a photo of you here with those background?" asked her genuinely curious. "I used to be photographer back then when I'm in America too. but I'm not that good tbh. " tell him as he's being humble about it.

@✽ mark t. "well, if you say so, mr. sweet talker! I could use some opinions on picking out clothes, i believe you have a keen eye judging from the way you dress? hahaha. let me just finish my drink first, hm?" she gives him a soft smile, finding him quite comfortable to be with in comparison to the guy who latched on to her just before; she didn't even know why she agreed to be with him in the first place when he was a cheater and abusive - maybe because her heart never truly left someone she longed for too. just thinking about him made her gaze wistful, simply sipping on her drink and just staring at the sky, watching the setting sun painting a picturesque scene in the background.

@✽ yeonseo o. "Well I mean yes, but you know you had a good vacation when you get sunburnt.. um .. I think?" after chuckling she made a sigh of content, knowing it wasn't just her working around here. "well I suppose that is true as well, trial run or not, really, easing it up for you in any way I can will just make me happy Seo...... unnie.." Gahyeon chuckled at the little one's playfulness before folding my arms at him and grins. " One day , you and me will have fun huh , how does that sound.. heh! "
After sleeping for a few hours , she woke up and wiped away her slight drool , she turned to the last few pages and looked in horror at the large block of text, shaking her head and laughed to herself, "so long as the last few pages are not to do with the text, I will do that last." she nodded before looking at her watch. "oh dang, I slept for at least four hours." she mumbled to herself before pulling the blanket off her to have a look at it, "where did this come from? though it is indeed incredibly soft and warm."

@✽ gahyeon l. Yeonseo chuckled as she smiled at the other. "Yes, coming back at full steam - but I don't know about being sunburnt that sounds painful," She answered with a small nod. "I have others that run the cafe, so don't worry about that," Yeonseo answered as she shook her head. "Plus, I would still be in teh cafe working just not splitting my focus and stopping to take care of Moonki that would be you when we do the trail run," She added, holding Moonki smiling at their interaction. She watched the little one giggle at her boop on the nose, clapping his hands. Yeonseo started back to working making drinks and sweets, simply letting Gahyeon sleep.

" come back full steam and sunburnt but it will be worth it!" she folded her arms and looked up to the sky , contemplating , wishing she could take the other on vacation for a while but frowns a little. "no ? because no one will run the cafe, ah heck.. oh hm? yes sounds perfectly fine with me ah!" she smiled before looking at Moonki, giving him a playful little salute. "ohoh hello there little man, I am Gahyeon, protector of many and little cuties like you." she gently poked his nose before smiling over at Yeonseo , grinning a little. "fine, fine what good be a pilot if they sleep at controls, suppose you are right ah!? as long as you rest as well too Seo.. but in due time heh!"
while sleeping she wrapped the blanket around her the best she can smiling a little in comfort and warmth.

@✽ gahyeon l. Yeonseo nodded. "Yes, that is why we take vacations, to relax and recharge," Yeonseo wasn't sure when the last time she actually took a vacation was. She nodded as she looked at Gahyeon. "Hmh, maybe we can the test run on a day after your exams are finished. Does that sound okay?" She asked as she picked up Moonki as he ran over, holding up his hands to Yeonseo's mumbling baby babble. She patted his back as she moved her posture towards Gahyeon. "Moonki, this is Gahyeon-noona, say hi," Yeonseo introduced them as the little boy babbled something, waving at Gahyeon before she moved back to the cafe. "You do need rest, Gahyeon - think about taking a rest after your exams," Yeonseo mentioned, bouncing the little boy a bit as she followed Gahyeon back inside the cafe. She disappeared into her office, putting Moonki down for a nap. She attached a baby monitor to her hip as she walked back into the cafe, noticing Gahyeon. "Awh, poor baby," Yeonseo chuckled, grabbing one of Moonki's blankets draping it over Gahyeon before returning to work.

@✽ yeonseo o. " so I guess that is why , we take vacations? " she tiled her head before humming a little. "hm? a few hours at the cafe , as a test run, alright then, that sounds like a plan and be rest assured, if .. if I succeed, then will you finally take a rest miss seo?" she tilted her head in curiosity before humming a little then grins . "thank you, Seo! just h... hm? " she paused for a moment, contemplating on when the last time she ended up having a moment to rest, with studying and work running through her hands like water she looked over and grinned , happily. "I haven't rested for a long time so I don't know what that even is so therefore, Gahyeon doesn't need it." making her way back into the cafe and sitting back down to stare at her studies , she placed her head on the table and ended up falling asleep there, perhaps , she was wrong ... she needed the rest... despite knocking down the coffees she had earlier which will give her the energy later.

@✽ gahyeon l. "Exactly, I would love to be carefree - but realistically we can't do that as adults. I have too many responsibilities to be carefree," She answered as she glanced at Gahyeon. "Yes, babysitting is the term and if you think that you are up to the task then we could do a test run. Maybe watched him for a few hours one day at the cafe?" Yeonseo asked as she wasn't trying to say that she didn't trust Gahyeon - but watching a toddler was a lot of work and she didn't know if Gahyeon knew everything or needed help or tips before she watched him for longer than that. "I will text or ring you up for sure," Yeonseo smiled down at the other as she nodded. "True, true - so do you Gahyeon. Don't stress yourself or overwork yourself with studying. You deserve rest time as well," Yeoneo could know how stressful and hard studying and studying could be for students.

@✽ yeonseo o. well she wasn't wrong, even Gahyeon could see the blessing that he brought, watching him throw the ball she curiously waved at him. "if only us adults could be as ..carefree ah. Wait, babysit is that the term? I see, well as long as it gives Yeonseo unnie rest then yes I really would ah." she rubbed the back of her neck before nodding , contemplating before slipping Yeonseo her business card. "After tomorrows exam, I know I will be free as much as one can be , so it is here, and understand that it might be hard, so if you need anything, please just ring or text me, anything to ease you up , I will be happy to do." she emitted a small sigh before giving Yeonseo a gentle shoulder pat , checks the time and heads back in to study while mumbling to myself. "busy lady needs rest time, no matter how she gets it."

@✽ gahyeon l. Yeonseo nodded as the other repeated what she had said. "He is, but I love him more than anything. A little blessing," She honestly said as she watched Moonki tossing the ball up in the air and catching it himself. Yeonseo nodded. "Yes, that is just how kids are, totally," She agreed as she glanced over to the younger one. "Ah, you would be willing to babysit him? Even after knowing he can be a bit of a handful?" Yeonseo let out a small chuckle. Even though she did chuckle, she was grateful that the other would even offer the favor even after not even knowing her that well. "Oh thank you," She took the cookie, biting on it. "I understand what you are saying - but it is hard when it is just me. Besides I like being a mom to that little energetic bugger," Yeonseo answered

@✽ yeji h. “It’s really nice to meet you in person as well! Honestly, I was a bit nervous about meeting up, but seeing you in person now is such a relief..” he sheepishly admitted, his hand moving to rub the back of his neck. Renjun quickly shook his head at her words, small smile tugging on his lips. “Regardless of if you helped me or not, I’m still grateful to have you reach out to me! I was so stressed that day..” a small chuckle left his lips as he thought back to the night he posted that story; he had been so stressed and just wanted to complain, he had t expected someone to message him and offer help. He really was- is grateful for Yeji. “You seem smart, plus this is your mother tongue.. so I trust whatever you teach me..” The Chinese male really was putting his trust in her, as nervous as he is. As he was thanked, he smiled a bit more, hands coming up to wave away her words. “Really, you don’t need to thank me.. after I sent the directions I realized you’ve definitely lived here longer than me and probably already know your way around. My brain didn’t work fast enough.”

A soft ‘Ah!’ Left Renjun’s lips as he nodded, moving to open up his notebook before he heard Yeji gasp. He quickly stopped, looking over at the woman in slight concern before he heard her. A slight deadpan look covered his features as he stared at her. “Ah, you scared me.. I thought something happened for a second..” he recalled his earlier endeavors, remembering how he had snacked earlier at his other job. He raised his hand, moving it in a way to indicate ‘so-so’ before pointing at her. “I should order something to drink before we get started.. do you want anything? Coffee? Tea? Or something to snack on before we get started? Remember, I said I’d treat you.”

@✽ yeonseo o. after hearing rugrat, Gahyeon couldn't help but laugh while sitting up , perhaps though, Yeonseo wasn't wrong. "mischievious, cute but cheeky? that sounds like me , but I mean suppose thats just the way kids are hm? curious, exploring and learning too , I mean, suppose it makes sense." she nodded towards the other before smiling. "you are welcome, geeze, if only that was the way, but honestly if you need rest and need someone to help out with his energy, let me know, on my days off, I wouldn't mind running around and having fun again." she laughed before randomly pulling out the last cookie from her pocket and handed it to Yeonseo. "here I was going to save it but seems like you could use it, as well as rest too, closing late.. looking after an energetic little one, heh, you need some peaceful time Miss Seo." perhaps Gahyeon wasn't good with words, but with a sigh, hopefully the other would get her idea.

@✽ gahyeon l. Yeonseo hurried after the toddler as he scurried off, squealing a bit as he scampered off from his mom. "Yah, don't run off you little rugrat," Yeonseo called out to the younger one. She sighed as he passed Gahyeon, chasing after who knows what caught his attention before throwing around the ball in his hands, keeping himself occupied. Yeonseo paused for a moment, keeping her eyes on the little one. She turned her gaze towards Gahyeon, chuckling. "He is a cutie - a bit mischievous and cheeky but cute," Yeonseo reached up touching where the other had put the flower. "Thank you for the flower," She commented then letting out a small laugh. "I wish I could give you some of his energy. Less work for me," She picked up the ball that rolled towards them, gently tossing it towards the toddler who scampered off to go get it.

@✽ renjun h.ˡⁱᵏᵉ ᵃ ᵐᵒⁿᵗʰ⁻ⁱˢʰ relief is evident on yeji's face, quite proud of herself for recognising and approaching the right person. her smile widens, nodding eagerly at his correct assumption before respectfully bowing in return, "yes, that's me! it's very nice to meet you in person, renjun!" she cheerfully mentions, obediently taking the seat across from him as he gestured. hugging her bag as it sits in her lap, yeji waves her free hand to instantly refute his claim while answering, "oh no, don't be. i haven't even helped you out yet— but i really hope i can be of help though." in that brief moment, she recalls the text message he sent earlier regarding the directions to the cafe; despite, knowing the way, she was still grateful for his thoughtfulness and he deserved to be appreciated for it. "also, thank you for sending me the directions by the way, it was really considerate of you."

"now, should we get to business?" she rumages through her bag, only to cut herself off by gasping while she snaps her fingers, remembering a matter more important than studying, "oh! but first— have you eaten yet, renjun?" she lifts her chin to gaze up at renjun, her priority quickly transitioning from studying to ensuring he had eaten or had something to drink, "or would you like to order anything before we begin?"

@✽ yeji h. Every passing moment left the Chinese male getting more and more nervous, fingers tapping and drumming against his notebooks as he waited for Yeji to arrive. He lost cursed himself for arriving early, now having to deal with the nerves as he sat by himself. He never really had a tutor before- could he really even call Yeji a tutor? He wasn’t exactly sure, but he didn’t really care. The woman was kind enough to offer help even without knowing him, Renjun couldn’t be more grateful for her stumbling across his Instagram story.

Have it be luck (or more realistically just time passing by) his thoughts were interrupted by a presence and a voice. He perked up as he heard his name, eyes matching up to stare at the woman before nodding. “Ah, yes!” He raised from his seat, bowing before pointing at her. “And you’re Yeji I’m assuming?” A small smile tugged on his lips as he sat back down, gesturing to the seat across from him. “You really don’t know how grateful I am for you.. genuinely, I’m very thankful.”

@✽ yeonseo o. after catching some fresh air, she then picked a flower and stared at it for a while, mumbling to herself, "suppose it is pretty though." After sitting on the bench she thought for a while before lying down on said bench, there was barely anyone in the cafe's garden so it wouldn't matter really. Staring at the sky and getting lost in her thoughts for a while, she was brought back by seeing a kid run by, which made her suddenly jolt up. "Oh heck, how long have I been out of it for? " checking her time , she managed to sigh in relief as it was only early afternoon.
Looking around again and watching the child run around, she laughed before finally putting two and two together after seeing Yeonseo again. " Ah, I suppose things make sense now miss Seo, here." she carefully slipped the flower into the older ladies hair before stretching. "He is indeed cute, I wish I had all that energy again."

@✽ gahyeon l. Yeonseo nodded as she glanced at the other. Yeonseo wasn't always the best at math - but she was decent with it when she had a calculator so good enough. "Of course no problem." Yeonseo was plating another order as she set it at teh pickup counter, seeing the other step out of the cafe. It was good for others and the customers to step out and take a walk when they needed a break. Yeonseo started doing some dishes as she glanced over to Moonki. She picked him and caught one of her workers to watch the cafe for a little bit so she could change Moonki. She disappeared into her office and changed Moonki, and then she went outside letting Moonki run around and get some energy out.

@✽ renjun h.ˡⁱᵏᵉ ᵃ ᵐᵒⁿᵗʰ⁻ⁱˢʰ after finishing her shift at the daycare centre and completing a small errand for her father, yeji immediately heads over to the cafe. whilst walking to the establishment, her thoughts were filled with a million ideas of ways to help renjun improve his korean, alongside with doubts as she remains unsure as to how much assistance she could provide him. yeji certainly wasn't experienced to teach, aside from helping the kids in daycare to read and write the alphabet, could she really be of help? after all, his grades were on the line and if she helped him, only for him to fail later on, she'd feel extremely at fault.

arriving to the cafe, yeji pushes the door open and enters in, her eyes glancing around before landing on the person she was looking for. based on what she remembered on the photo from his post, it seemed like it was the right person, but there was still a chance she was wrong. hesistantly, yeji approaches the table with a polite bow, a bashful smile on her face as she proceeds to ask a question, "hello, by any chance, are you renjun?"

@✽ yeonseo o. listening to her words, she contemplated before mumbling back. "oh? division? hm that makes sense, thanks Miss Seo." writing down the answer , she quietly scanned through everything, only to nod at the end. "ok everything seems right, oh thank you for looking after things too." she got up, stretched then made her way outside, occasionally looking at other peoples works, wondering about their jobs. "ah fresh air, good coffee and good snacks, I might have to come back well, not often.. maybe." sitting by the flowers, she hummed a little before gently picking a flower.

@✽ yeji h. The chime of bells rang as Renjun pushed open the cafe doors, eyes lighting up at the brightly lit place. He had sent Yeji the directions earlier, slightly cringing after as he realized she probably already knew where the cafe was. He didn’t let himself think too much about it, drifting his focus to rechecking his bag, making sure all the books and study tools he would need into his backpack. A breath of relief left his lips as he realized he didn’t forget anything, small smile tugging on his lips before he went over to one of the smaller tables available. He set his bag down next to him, pulling out his phone as he anxiously typed away to his online friends. Call him lame, but his nerves were high. His past experiences with with teachers and tutors had been nothing good, often leaving him discouraged and frustrated with himself- far more lost and confused on his Korean skills then he was beforehand. This was- hopefully- going to be different. Yeji seemed genuine and sweet, and besides… what person just randomly hits someone up on Instagram offering help?

His texts between his friends got shorter and shorter until they said their ‘goodbye’s, turning off his phone and sliding it into his pant pocket. He let his fingers drum against the table, lips slightly puckered up as he let himself blank out while he waited for his soon to be tutor to arrive.

@✽ dohyun k. "Eh, pls don't misunderstand that; I was just trying to say that you're actually pretty, so yeah. "It's a compliment, really!" He was a bit flustered at the tease, as he laughed right after. "Aye, please don't tease me like that, Dohyun Sshi." Mark hummed softly at the question before smiling as he answered her. "Well, I know, but I just want to find some place that is not too crowded with people I know." "Seoul is way more prestigious, but I want to be independent in this small city." He tilted his head and chuckled. "barista? well. Maybe I could give them a try. "Thanks for the suggestion, Missy." Mark nodded his head. "it's alright. I'll just listen to my music, and you can do your things. At least I can protect you if ever that guy who knows might come again." the thought that hit the guy earlier makes him grimace.

"wha... pretty girl? who? me? are you serious? and you say you're not trying to hit on girls, mark-ssi..." she couldn't help but to laugh back, a genuine laughter after a hostile experience, nodding and listening to his story as to why he was here. "ah.. I see... but why here, why not in seoul where there's more prestigious universities? and part time job hm... you look like you can be a barista, im sure you'll attract a lot of customers!" she grinned back, but shielded her arm away from him, shaking her head lightly and waving off his concern. "it's fine it's fine... i'll be alright. you sure though? it's going to take a while and it might be too boring for you."

@✽ ayaka m. as it is an unwarranted, never considered situation that every staff member in the zoo — yihyun herself included — for leaving her spot in the middle of feeding her favourite cub, uma. she quite memorized how every muscle curling on her face to know her own emotions; this one constricts too hard it could magnetize both her eyebrows together. she hates being the person below the spotlight, but how she snatches the paper from her co employee's hand after leaving her apron and gloves has said spotlight grow brighter. looking back, it was cringe worthy; it is wrong to place her anger to someone else anyways, so it can be justified.

anyone within a six feet radius could hear how her grumbling accompanied her unhurried, spiteful footsteps; mouth readers could tell she was complaining about being disturbed or how she wanted to go back so bad and stand up for herself. she doesn't mind being the person to do the doubletaking and fetching of orders, but the reason behind it is what irks her further. just thinking about it has her hand flying on her nape as her neck cranes from one side to the other, careful if ever she strains a muscle too much it might cause more pain than it dwindles her annoyance.

the lady isn't petty when it comes to workloads and always likes being asked for a helping hand to other employees — they are dealing with animals from the wild, after all, and they need all the help they can get — but this one is a different employee of its own. she doesn't know why no one else has filed a complaint to them, be it endangering co-employees one time while feeding the crocodiles, or for their patterns of slacking off during work hours — that they, surprisingly, haven't caught up with hr yet. employers may have reasoned of them the zoo being understaffed which is understadable, or among other things; the complaints ends up as a notification and — maybe, just maybe — the reason why they like to pick on her. nowhere near understandable, but she's digging in their hustle.

yihyun's state of hostility, however, didn't last long. there is no other reason to keep her blood boiling further for the day, especially when it comes to fetching coffee orders for everyone. they probably forget that they can spend a little more equating three more donuts as personal order, and the employer will let them so (they're pretty kind and generous, as to why they're likeable) and makes it all reason to add a grin on her face. no one else can have four donuts in their orders except hers, it's a win-win!

waltzing her way in the cafe, yihyun notices swarms of people coming in and out of the establishment. arms of her wrist watch saying it is near lunch time with her once-over, however still keeps her surprised. it may take her time to have her orders but a miracle in disguise. she certainly needs a couple more cups of coffee before getting to clear her head.

yihyun skips herself from the entrance to the stations, light to her steps, the grin on her face impossibly higher upon seeing someone familiar, familial, working. even if her interfering garners a stare or two from the customers, as if specks of her work could get mixed up in their coffee, she heeds no mind — elbows on smooth surface and leaning forward in hopes to strike a conversation(?). "ayaka onee-chan, ayaka unnie! do you know how to handle rude coworkers? i might have mentioned them sometime before, the one that pushes my friend during work hours to crocodiles, they crossed the line this time. seriously. that i have to say bye to uma temporarily to do something that was tasked to do to them today. can you believe it?! it's so unreasonable! and get this, even manager-nim let it slide. again! i hate it so much that i...—"

@✽ ayaka m. Yeonseo smiled as she noticed that Ayaka had gotten a lot of cafes ready to go which she was grateful for, and they wouldn't be opening too late behind their usual opening time. "Yea, he was being cranky this morning. He isn't a morning person like his mama - but we gotta adult," Yeonseo chuckled, laying Moonki down in a booth snuggled up in some blankets. She set his diaper bag next to him as she was starting to flip down chairs from the tables, setting them up. "We could arrange something like that - I could do both - give you a bit more on over time and you can leave early. I have no problem with that. I just have to calculate the amount later in my office and I'll get back to you," Yeonseo said as she glanced over at her. "Also, wintertime is ending so we should start thinking about what kind of seasonal drinks we would like to sell besides sakura blossom themed as we'll do that when it gets closer to the sakura season," Yeonseo added

@✽ nijiro m. "Alright then. The recommended ones. Is it your first time here? if so, welcome again! Not really.. I came here as soon as this place was seeking workers so to say if we just open up.. You have to ask my boss, apologies for that," she chuckled, speaking in fluent Japanese that sounded like flowing water. As soon as she tapped the orders in, she bowed her head in the Japanese way and grinned up at the other. "miyoshi ayaka. It's really nice to meet you. It's not everyday one would bump into another Japanese in a different country and most especially in a small town. The total bill will be 11,000 won. will you like to pay in cash or by credit card?"

@✽ yeonseo o. realizing that she might be the first one around, she decided to get everything ready for the influx of customers later on and heard the female boss's voice from behind to which she turned in response and bowing her head slightly to greet. "Morning, Boss! It's okay. I got this. Ah, little boss is being cranky? I mean, who does like mornings after all? I'm with the little man on that", she chuckled playfully as she finished with the coffee machines and moved on to check that all syrups and toppings needed topping up. "You know you can always give me a call in the morning if you ever find yourself late to attend to the little boss. I don't mind coming in a little early provided that i could leave earlier or get paid over time."
