@✽ subin j.ˡⁱᵏᵉ ᵃ ᵐᵒⁿᵗʰ⁻ⁱˢʰ Having arrived a good 30 minutes earlier than their intended time, Seoham sat quietly in Florestrellia waiting in comfortable silence. It had been a busy month for him, with the directors of Seoulwood along with his co-producers nagging at him to finalize some of the bigger roles. He himself was a producer for the drama while also being the author, so they really needed his opinion on finalizing the roles, even with the casting director giving him some hints. A lot of good hints, and some hints being absolutely not what he saw when Seoulwood turned into live action. The person he was meeting that day, he hoped wouldn’t really disappoint him: Jung Subin.
Seoham would always gather inspiration for his work from everywhere: books, movies, k-dramas, paintings, and the occasional web drama. The latter is where he first spotted Subin. He had no preconceived notions on the boy aside from the fact that he acts very well from what he saw on his laptop screen. Seoham was scouting for the male lead of Seoulwood that day, and the past five interviewees were not good enough. He didn’t directly tell them that, but they’d find out eventually. The webtoonist had his eyes on Subin from the day the casting director gave Seoham his contacts. All he had to do was interview the kid.
@✽ jiho g. It was one of the day that Xiao decided to move away from her streaming set up because she needed to meet up with one of her childhood friends from grade school days. Jiho and her went to the same school when they were little where they met for the first time, both of them were just little girl that immediately became friends as they realized they have a lot similarities. They had been helping each other during classes whenever they had something the other didn't understand, learning about each other's culture since Xiao wasn't Korean so Jiho teaches her Korean while Xiao taught Jiho Mandarin. The friendship they shared together was something special even after they went to different school afterwards, and Xiao dropping out of school to begin her game streaming career later on, they stayed in touched through everything. She taught Jiho about games while Jiho teaches her about arts and everything that's related to the topic.
It had been a long time since they seen each other because both of them were so busy in their own careers, but today is the day that they finally got a chance to meet with each other. Checking the time as Xiao checked herself in the mirror one last time to make sure that everything was just right. Wearing her favorite shirt with a pair of shorts and a pair of pink boots that she usually wears for something like this. Putting on one of her favorite hat as well before heading out of the door. Breathing in the fresh air as she walked toward the cafe that's right next to her apartment where she had been living for the past few years, putting on her music she usually listens as she hummed with the melody in her ear as Xiao continued walking to the destination.
All the memories from their childhood just came back to her as they put a big smile on her face, noticed the cafe was right up ahead as she takes out her phone before texting Jiho that she is almost there. She pushed the door open when the smell of fresh coffee and the sweet scent of pastries just came rushing to her senses, loving how everything smells as she find herself a table to sit while waiting for her best friend to arrive. A young woman like her always love something sweet which was the reason she love to visit this cafe because they have some of the best pastries she ever got, she knew that her friend Jiho would like them as well. XIao would be wait for the other to get her so they can order together, they always share delicious food or places to eat and promise each other that they go together wherever that place was. Even though the smell of fresh pastries and the coffee made her wanted to order already but she would rather wait for Jiho so they can discuss everything together.
@✽ sooyoung h.⁰²⁰⁵²⁰²³ A bright smile tugged on Sicheng’s lip as he shook Sooyoung’s hand, looking her in the eyes before gesturing her to the seat across him. “I must say, it’s a pleasure to finally meet you in person. After speaking with your manager, I was anticipating this interview.” The Chinese male felt his cheeks heat up at the compliment, eyes glancing down as a bashful smile fell over him. “Ah, thank you.. I try my best. My writing is something I pride myself in, even if not all the words feel right. I’m glad to hear such high praise though, that means I’m doing something right hm?” His words were lighthearted as he started moving some items that were on the table back into his bag, creating more space for the woman so they could get things officially started.
“So, Sooyoung.. I already discussed through emails, but just to restate to you, please don’t feel shy to speak up during any time of the interview. If at some point anything gets too difficult for you, feel free to let me know. We can either completely stop and disregard that subject matter or you can take a moment to compose yourself before continuing.” The author pulled up a new document in his laptop, typing away a format before gasping. “That’s right! Are you hungry or thirsty by chance? I’m happy to treat you- I insist even, as a thank you for agreeing to this.” The line was short and he was already getting up, grabbing his wallet before smiling down at Sooyoung. “We’ll also discuss payment for your agreement, your interview times, as well as for being able to use your statements.” He looked around, glad he chose a more secluded table as he hummed in thought. “I’m really, really happy you agreed to this. I want this book to be as truthful and as inner connected as possible, and thanks to you I get to put this best version of my book out.”
@✽ yeeun s.⁰²⁰⁵²⁰²³ He shrugged slightly at her response, fully agreeing of course but not wanting to let it show too much. “A lot of us didn’t really like him, especially me. But you seemed to like him a lot so I didn’t say anything, didn’t wanna overstep you know?” Seoham’s jaw clenched slightly (for some reason) when she mentioned that her ex-boyfriend had taken a lot of her firsts. Of course he thought of a lot of things, but strangely it irked him more than it probably should. He was taken out of his thoughts when Yeeun turned the question onto him. “My girlfriend? Well, we broke up like… a few months after graduation. Things didn’t really work out between us but eh, it happens.” he answered calmly, finishing the last of his lemonade, his straw making noise signaling the few droplets coming up until the liquid was gone.
With his plate and glass cleared, he tucked in his legs underneath his chair, one foot non-stop as he watched Yeeun speak. “Yep, it wasn’t that hard, surprisingly, since I was already familiar with my grandparents’ old house that I’m living in.” He was definitely worried about how his question came out, did she think it was a date? Probably not… or probably. He felt some relief when she replied with a sound yes and he nodded along, mirroring her actions and propping the side of his face up on the table, on his elbow. “I’ll try my best. I haven’t just been here for a month, technically. I visit every few summers and holidays because of my mother and grandparents. It’s a dat–” He paused, he was stupid enough to almost say ‘It’s a date then?’ when he shouldn’t have done so so casually. “I-I’ll text you when I’m free so we can hang out.” he stuttered out.
@✽ seoham p. "you hated him too? gosh...i should've listened to everyone that knew about him because they weren't too big of a fan of his either," she responded, a soft huff leaving her lips as she slouched in her seat. "he wasn't the best. did take a lot of my firsts but he was...something," she added, only to end up laughing at herself as she shook her head. she was quick to brush off the topic, turning the relationship one onto him. "what about you? what hapened with your girlfriend? if you don't mind me asking of course." she knew. at least that's what she wanted to think. she was aware the two weren't together as the small rumours flooded the art club, ones she would say she never enjoyed listening on but this one was the only one that caught her attention.
yeeun leaned comfortably back in her seat as she listened to him, nodding at his words. "i figure you're already situated and everything?" she asked, referring to him being in dandelion for almost a month. there it was. the small lull in their conversation that followed his response. she didn't mind it at all. she was actually more happy that she finally met someone with a familiar face. she snapped out of her thoughts as he spoke. like a date? she thought to herself. she doubts it would be a date...they just told each other about being single that would be too quick, right? "i would love to actually. might give me excuses to find ways out of my art block," she smiled at him, leaning over to rest her elbow on the table, her cheek pressed against her palm. "might have to have you show me around," she smiled at him, her eyes disappearing into a smile along with her.
@✽ areum k. Mingyu simply shook his head since he didn't want to quarrel or make matters worse. He simply sighs and keeps driving while scanning the city. Since he grew up in this area, he realized it had been a long since he had last seen those trees. But was forced to leave for four years to attend college.
"I like you a lot. But as I said, I'd like to know you better. We shouldn't draw conclusions about it hastily. I'll court you in order to learn more about you and understand you.” He said, continuing to drive while remaining silent. "No worries. After a few months of acting like we are a couple, if you still don't like me, you won't ever see me again.”
@✽ mingyu k. “I’m allowed to be angry and even though I’m upset I am still talking calmly to you. I’m not yelling and I’m not fighting, so no.” Areum answered and shook her head, it was going to be a long few months with him and she was absolutely dreading the entire thing. “You don’t get to dictate my feelings or my responses. What you’re doing right now is pretty close to gaslighting and I don’t like it. You don’t have to keep explaining everything or calling me names. I already agreed and understood.”
The drive couldn’t end quickly enough for her and she began to stare longingly at the hospital in the distance as if that would speed things along. “It’s confusing because you don’t seem to like me much or have any understanding but you say you like me. There are plenty of good daughters in the world who would be that cute calm thing that you want so it would make sense to like one of them instead of being upset at me for being myself and trying to change me.”
@✽ areum k. Shaking his head from how the woman beside him kept being angry. Honestly, this could’ve talked calmly and easily for them to understand each other. Instead, the other keeps being angry while he was just explaining his side and what exactly is happening why he have to do things to cover the mess up. “I’m in no way wants to attack you nor even my intention to do so. I am just explaining why I said you were selfish before. I am just explaining why I have to do this. Stop being angry like whenever we talk, you always do. Can we not talk calmly?”
Mingyu heaves a deep sigh before he replied. “I even just said how I feel. What’s even more confusing?”
@✽ mingyu k. As he sat there talking it felt more like he was scolding her and she had to chew on her lower lip to keep from reacting angrily. Instead she balled her fist in her lap and clenched her jaw, waiting until he was done until she could speak her piece. “As little as I understand you, you understand me far less and I absolutely hate the way that you see me.” She began slowly, not even looking at him as she shook her head. “You act as if I don’t understand the situation and did not agree to your terms. Just because I wanted to find a different solution doesn’t mean that I wasn’t going to help you; I simply didn’t like the options I was given and expressed my frustration. Selfish? Me? Wow. you. How dare I not want to pretend date some guy I never met before who barged into my father’s hospital room. Why would I possibly be upset by that? Or by being used, even if it’s ultimately for a good cause doesn’t make me feel any better about it.”
Areum had to pause to take a deep breath to calm herself as her hands had begun to shake with her anger. “If that is truly how you see me and how you think I am then you don’t understand me at all and that isn’t the kind of person you should like anyway. Mingyu, I am not stupid nor am I selfish. It was never our scandal or your position that I didn’t understand. It was just you and your feelings for me that didn’t make sense. They still don’t, especially if it is so easy to think of me on such a negative way.”
@✽ areum k. "I keep repeating that I need to clean up the mess before it gets worse.” He sighs and gets into the car to start driving. "Since people saw you and him, that would raise a scandal to not only his career, but to the company. Revenue will decrease, you understand? It's difficult for idols, actors, actresses, or anyone else in the entertainment industry to get into a scandal since it could start a chain reaction. And consider the possibility that I would have to lose money in order to pay for your father's treatment and he will be transferred to a more expensive hospital than the one he is currently receiving treatment at. I keep saying you seemed selfish because of this reason.”
Mingyu sighs heavily as he speeds his car. "If you only knew that if the income of my firm will go down and I declare bankruptcy, millions of people would be without a job, thousands of people at the hospital treating their wounds, and their family's health needs to travel somewhere distant from their place with less benefits."
"At least you consider my family, who work for my company. It's not only about your or my life, either. People look on me to continue the enterprises that my father left behind. Even my research about what to do is lacking. However, I'm making an effort for those who require my father's assistance. Because I don't care about my reputation, it's not only about that.”
"And to you as well. With your father, you have a bright future. At least I'm the only one who suffers when I'm unhappy. Until I track down my sister. Nevertheless, I am confident that she will comprehend my need to do this.”
He gives the road a quick scan before turning to face you. “In addition, you reject the notion of love at first sight. But when I first met you, I did experience it. I was mistaken in thinking you were just an ordinary woman. You are distinctive and different in your own way. Any man would merely consider you for a . However, I see you as someone who needs to be looked after and who will also look after me. Someone who has soft lips and is truly beautiful and seductive. You're incredibly kind, but you can't seem to recognize it in yourself. You have a reasonable level of sophistication. You also cherish your father.” The lad comments while driving, "That's a fantastic bonus for being family orientated.
"I like you. As I am confessing my feelings, I hope this won't make you confused.” Mingyu remarked. "That's another reason I'd like to court you and learn more about you. Since we don't know one other very well, I don't want to just dive in.”
@✽ mingyu k. The woman silently followed after him and slipped into the car without a word. Once he joined her inside, she glanced at him and did her best to try and maintain her composure. “It’s not that I despise you. Mostly. I mean, I did, and sometimes I still don’t know what the to do with you. You confuse the out of me and I don’t know what you want from me. None of this makes sense to me and I hate that.” She said honestly and stared out the front windshield.
“It would be easier if you hated me. I know what to do with that.” The woman continued, shrugging her shoulders. “Or just wanted to me. That I know what to do with and how to handle.”
@✽ areum k. "Don't worry; this will end if you really despise me. After that, you won't see me again. Since you recently met me, it will be much simpler for me to stay away because I respect you. Before people lose theirs, I simply need to save everything. If it means aiding the hospital staff and patients, I don't mind losing my fortune.” He held her hand and added. “But if losing my riches means they also lose their jobs and means of subsistence, then I don't want that.”
Then, as he opens the passenger door for Areum, Mingyu unlocks the car outside of the cafe. “Then, since I'll need to find out what supplies the hospital need, let's head there.” He said before turning to face her. “I would have to get some medical supplies as well. “
"Don't worry, this will finish soon. After that, you won't see me again.”
@✽ mingyu k. While Areum listened to him, she actually felt herself being quite angry at him and she didn’t know why or where the feeling came from. It wasn’t even that she didn’t feel sorry for him, because she did, but she also didn’t want to be burdened by those feelings either. Or maybe it was because it was him that was putting her through those emotions that she objected to. Either way, she had to fight to keep from grimacing at him as he stood to leave; the sight of the photographers outside leveled out her mood dramatically. It wasn’t about her, or him, it was for her father so she could endure it.
“I do have your number.” She answered a bit more coldly than she meant to as she put a small smile on her face, standing up send him off. Now that they had an audience, she had to play the part of a doting girlfriend and she was going to do her best. “So I guess that means I shouldn’t be seen going home with anyone else. Damn.” She mumbled as she reached for his hand. “Why don’t we leave together then, hmm? I’m going to the hospital. What about you?”
@✽ areum k. “Yes, you might claim that I am lonely compared to you. I've lost my dad recently and my sister when I was a young child.”Mingyu stated, turning to Areum. “I don't have any family remaining because my mother abandoned us when I was just three years old. At least you can say is that your father is present. Only the workers that work for me at my company is getting paid on a monthly basis. As my extended family, I take care of them. Which is I still don’t know why you fail to understand that I’m protecting my company for them. For your father who is admitted at the hospital my company is providing funds into. It’s not just me alone.”
He carefully stands up and turns to face the cafe's entrance. “It can be set at any moment. You already have my phone number, right?” The lad responded, pointing at the paparazzis that were lurking at the cafe door. “And I don't employ any media for that because you're already famous for them to silently follows you."
@✽ mingyu k. The moment he said he would miss her, she couldn’t help but to roll her eyes. It was not only that she doubted his sincerity but it was very much her normal reaction to any kind of affection; she didn’t know how else to process it. “How could you miss someone that you just met and doesn’t even like you that much?” She inquired bluntly, adjusting her clothes as she got ready to leave. “You must be even more lonely than I am.”
It was a casual admission of her deeper feelings but she chose to just brush past it as if she said nothing at all. Areum chose to push the focus back on him as she gathered up her bag, still intent on leaving as soon as possible. “Alright, Boss Man. Where is our next very public outing to protect your asset?” She asked, looking back into his eyes for the briefest of moments and chewing on her lower lip as that glance made her heart race. “Are you hiring media to take pictures of it to flood the gossip news?”
@✽ yeeun s. Seoham didn’t do much except raise his brow at Yeeun when she casually and jokingly addressed him as Dr. Park, crossing his arms over his chest in amusement.
He felt like he could release a breath that he was unknowingly holding when Yeeun admitted that she was happy and free since her ex was out of the picture. “He’s out of my life for good,” she said and he ducked his head down again, trying to hide his obvious smile. He was grinning of course because he didn’t like her stupid former boyfriend but also because he just wanted to see her happy. “Good, I hated him anyway. Serious bad vibes.” he blurted out without thinking, his eyes growing just a little bit bigger, but too late. His words were out and she had heard it. A week and a half? Wow, she had not been in Dandelion for that long.
His sandwich was almost gone, only a couple bites left so he nibbled on it slowly so he would have more reason to stay and talk to her. ‘I shouldn’t have eaten so quickly, .’ He barely had a nail-sized piece in his mouth when she commented on his Instagram post, making him look up at her, both eyebrows raised. “Oh.” So she was looking at his feed, how cute. “Just a month or so ago, I think. I didn’t really keep track, as long as I had moved in.” All he had now was his lemonade, which was half-full so he would sip that like he was conserving his last drops of water, sipping through the straw. There was lull in their conversation, and he tried not to look at her while trying to find a way to push their talking forward without seeming like a creep. Man, seeing Yeeun in person outside their art club hangouts /and/ outside their digital chatroom was definitely… different. He could notice every single microexpression and body language shift (a skill he acquired drawing people all the time) she had, but he didn’t want to read her specifically. It felt intrusive, but for anyone else? He’d read them like a book with a transparent cover. “Would you like to hang out sometime? Like… after this. It’s weird knowing that we’re constantly texting but not seeing each other in person, especially since we’re both in the same town now.” Did it sound like he was asking her out on a date?
@✽ seoham p. she looked at him and nodded at his words, a smile creeping onto her lips which she did her best to hide by sipping her drink. "okay dr. park, i'll do my best to sleep more than eight hours soon," she grinned before doing her usual habit of stretching her legs out in front of her.
yeeun was quick to shake her head before leaning forward. "i'm relieved, seoham! finally feel like a free woman," she exclaimed in the most hushed town ever as she remembered she was still in public. "he's out of my life for good," she added with a proud look to her. "took me a little too long to get rid of him but he's gone and now i'm here." she looked at him and tapped her chin playfully as she thought about the day she had arrived. "not too long ago..maybe a week and a half. i was mostly cooped up in my grandpa's studio and only would leave very late at night," she told him truthfully. she did spend most of her hours sleeping or working on pieces in the studio, ordering in food whenever she got hungry as she feared of going outside in a place that was like home but felt too new to her.
"how about you? did you recently come back?" she asked, taking another bite of her sandwich, the same puffed cheeks popping out as she did. "it hasn't been a while has it? from what you uploaded the other day-" she cut herself off. oh no. is he going to think she was stalking his instagram feed? Absolutely not. he better not. she just noticed his whereabouts while scrolling through her feed, that was all. nothing more than that.
@✽ sicheng d.ˡⁱᵏᵉ ᵃ ᵐᵒⁿᵗʰ⁻ⁱˢʰ sooyoung had been rushing the entire morning since she had woken up from her alarm. running back and forth between her room and her bathroom while slipping on different outfits and not really being happy with any of the things she had picked out. it took about twenty minutes for her to figure out a proper, interview worthy outfit. she had gotten enough time to fix her hair that was a mess from being asleep for almost twelve hours. cuss words slipped past her lips as she checked the time, realizing she was only a few minutes of running late. she grabbed her tote bag that she had luckily packed the night before and was out the door.
gladly the cafe wasn't much of a walk away but she jogged, glad that her stamina was still there and the second she reached the cafe, she wasn't out of breath. she took a deep breath as she spotted the male in the window, giving herself a mental pep talk before she made her way inside and over to the male. "dong sicheng?" she asked, her voice soft as a hopeful glint appeared in her eyes as she wanted to make sure he was the right person or else she would've clutched her chest from embarrassment. once she got the thumbs up that it was the right person, she flashed him a smile while holding out her hand for him to shake. "nice to meet you, i'm ha sooyung. i read a view of your drafts through my manager recently. i must say, you're a wonderful writer," she said, every word that came out of was full of truth as she kept her promise to do her own research on the other.
@✽ yeeun s. He had been chewing peacefully on his sandwich, his head upright and his nose scrunching up in amusement when Yeeun looked up as well. She did look cute with her puffed out cheeks from eating, like a little chipmunk saving food for the winter in its mouth. Seoham brought his glass of lemonade closer, taking a sip from the bendy straw sticking out as he nodded slowly, listening to her words. And another bite from his sandwich. “I have been sleeping more,” he heard her say and he smiled inwardly. He was relieved of course, she had always had very bad sleeping habits. He knew this well because on some days she would message him notes on his recent work at 3 in the morning, an ungodly hour for anyone to be awake.
“Eight hours is good. I’d prefer you sleep longer, though.” he commented nonchalantly, leaning back in his chair, his long legs stretched out underneath the table. He was careful not to have his leg collide with Yeeun’s, though. “I broke up with my ex too…” Well that definitely caught his attention, his ears perking up at her revelation. It was something both unexpected but unsurprising, definitely something he had hoped for. He was going to mention something about her being different in their recent meetings, probably because of her and her ex. But he didn’t, he hated her ex when he saw him hurt her a while back, but he didn’t want to overstep his boundaries with Yeeun. “Sorry, that happened.” was all he could say without giving away that he disliked their relationship. “Wait, when did you arrive? Like… here, in Dandelion.” he should have asked that first, he wasn’t expecting her to be here, but it made some sense since their mothers were both born here.
@✽ seoham p. the lowering of his head and his signature smile, yeeun caught herself grinning to herself which she immediately tried to mask as a cough that made her look around the room. she couldn't help but laugh even a bit louder if that was even possible with her hushed personality. the reaction she received had only caused her to laugh even more. "handsome...i might just take it back," she teased, wiggling her finger at him before raising a brow as he mentioned her food. her heart fluttered. what the ? she thought to herself as she looked at him before looking down at her food, slowly nodded. what the actual ? her mind repeatedly mindlessly. how did he remember that? not everyone did, but him? her heart fluttered once more as she took a bite of her sandwich silently. lost in her thoughts, she munched on her food.
snap. she looked up at him, cheeks puffed out from the big bite she had taken. "oh ummm," she said once she swallowed her bite, feet lightly swinging under the table. "other than the exhibition, i have been sleeping more," she nodded happily. knowing that sleep was one of the things that screwed with her the most, she was quite proud of her. "eight hours every day since i moved here!" she almost exclaimed, unable to hide her excitement. "and then i broke up with my ex too.. took me a minute but he is long gone," she told him, knowing that was something she hadn't mentioned for a while but she was quite relieved.
why was it so easy to talk to him? so openly? so freely? what is going on with you shin yeeun.
@✽ areum k. Although he can see the perplexity in Areum's eyes, he accepts it. When they can take as much time as they need, he doesn't want to press her too hard. However, Mingyu will miss her presence and, most importantly, the sensation of her lips on his. "I'll miss you, why?”
replied as he started to clear his throat and continued to look directly into Areum's eyes. “That’s also why I have my staffs in every department, so that they will report to me. Aside from that, I can always take my time. The last few days I've learned a lot, and I'm now quite exhausted. I also need a break.”
@✽ areum k. Hongki, finally seated and settled, greeted Areum with a genuine smile, the emotion reaching his eyes easily. When he arrived he was wearing a jacket, but he peeled it off easily in the warmer surroundings of the cafe. Underneath the jacket he was just wearing a regular white shirt, with his tattoo sleeves being exposed and earning him a few judgemental looks from the old ladies in the cafe. Common for him, but he shrugged it off.
“Wow—” he glanced at the drink in front of him, his favourite: strawberry boba! “This is my drink of choice actually, thank you!” he replied, quickly poking the straw through the plastic cover and sipping it once before setting it beside him. Though Hongki was keeping his friendly energy around Areum, as he did with most people, he did feel some tension and nerves from her. He could tell just by looking at her and how she spoke. He’ll have to adjust accordingly to keep her comfortable.
He pulled out a folder from his backpack, opening it and pushing the displayed paper in front of her. It was a large tiger design, the animal curled and leaning forward, with modern lines and rather strange in the design itself. He had it made by one of his tattoo artists years ago when he was still in his band, but he never got around to it. “I wasn’t sure about this design, do you think you can do it?” He was careful not to ask her to modify it or anything, it might be too much to ask of her, even if he /was/ paying her to do it.
@✽ hongki l. Was he late? Areum honestly couldn’t tell because every moment she had been there already felt like an eternity. Funny how anxiety works. It was all forgotten the moment she saw him though and she greeted him with a bright smile, even rising from her chair respectfully when he sat down.
“No, no, it’s okay. You have way more important things to do so I get it.” She replied before indicating the drink in front of him. “I, uhh, I got you this. Feel free to drink it or, umm, not?” Her nervousness was getting the better of her, not that she was ever really anything less than awkward to begin with.
Areum took a pause and sipped on her drink before glancing at him once more. “So did you bring your design?”
@✽ areum k. Hongki was normally very punctual for post appointments, even back then when he was an active musician. Today was just not his day as one of his customers, an elderly man, was holding up his time at the store. He couldn’t say no to the old man of course, he was just very confused about the records he wanted since he left his glasses at home. The retired rockstar, finally bidding goodbye to the senior, bolted straight for Florestrellia Cafe, knowing that his acquaintance was going to be there. Well, he wasn’t sure if he would call her an acquaintance, they’d met way too many times that they’d probably be in the middle between friendship and being acquaintances. From meeting her as a replacement bass player, to her becoming a regular visitor at his shop to the point that he really remembered her face. She was a polite young woman, even from day one when they met at his concert.
He was about 7 minutes late, 7 minutes too long for him as he wanted to arrive at least 5 minutes before the time they agreed upon. Hongki pushed open the door of the cafe after peering through the glass, and he spotted her immediately. She was settled at one of the table and Hongki approached her, bowing apologetically. “Ah, sorry Areum for being late! A customer kept me at the store.” he spoke at medium volume. He pulled back the chair across her, sitting down immediately and settling his mini backpack on his lap, which had his belongings as well as a draft of the ink he wanted on his arm. “Did you wait too long? I’m really sorry…”
@✽ yeeun s. While Seoham was facing away from her during his brief walk to his table, he was already taking shallow breaths to calm down a little. He plopped down onto his seat after settling his sandwich and lemonade on the fairly small table. His head lifted up to look at her, an eyebrow raising without his control over his expression. “Something? Ah… okay, good. Glad it’s not that bad. I didn’t think I’d really see anyone from the art club here, not gonna lie.” he replied, his head lowering as he grinned his flattered smile, one that looked like a real-life version of the “:]” emoticon.
There was a brief moment of silence between them, so he took that as a chance to start on his lemonade while the ice was still solid and unmelted. His lips were attached to the straw, sipping quietly as he listened to Yeeun speak. “... poking out of a .” The statement shocked him and he started to cough, his lemonade almost going down the wrong pipe. Her ridiculously funny comment was in a hushed tone, thank god and he managed to keep whatever composure he had on as she laugh-coughed into his fist. His chest still barely vibrating from his chuckle, he looked at her with a more relaxed grin. “I can’t believe you just called me handsome… after you basically called me a .” he playfully snapped backed, his tongue poking the inner part of his cheek. Releasing the tension in his body, he breathed out, gesturing to Yeeun’s food. “Go eat, I’m pretty sure you don’t like your sandwiches cold.” he commented without thinking, his brain throwing in the fact that she likes most of her food warm.
“Since we’re here, did you anything interesting since we last met with the art club?” he started, trying to spark some sort of conversation, even if it was a bit cliche. “Well— anything that you haven’t mentioned in our messages too.” he quickly added, remembering that they casually mention things related to their work through text, a lot more regularly than their other college friends would. While he waited for her response, which would be either quick and witty or slow and thoughtful, he grabbed his tuna sandwich, taking a mid-size bite off of it.
@✽ mingyu k. Although he was looking at her, Areum barely registered his expression at all because she was too busy trying to put distance between them. Her heart was racing as her body had responded to him but her mind was elsewhere. She knew he expressed his interest and yet she didn’t trust that at all. But she wanted to. Her internal conflict consumed her consciousness until he began to ask questions which brought her back to the moment.
“Oh? Why do we need to meet so soon?” She asked, finishing the rest of her drink without bothering to retake her seat. “Aren’t you a busy CEO or something? I don’t think it’s believable for us to be together every day. Besides, maybe the time apart will allow your brain to heal from when I hit you.”
@✽ areum k. The contact of Areum's plump lips with Mingyu's is undoubtedly pleasant. What's more is that their kiss lasted for a long time and even intensified before she pulled away, gazing at her with interest. The said expression he’s showing to her is actually being confused as to why she pulled away when he wants to kiss her further.
"Mm…” He said, glancing at you first before tracing your lips from your cheek to your chin. "You want to meet me a few days from now? Not tonight? Tomorrow?” He uttered those words while displaying a sorrowful grimace. "Your soft lips felt so good against mine. I'll look forward to your next kiss and being yours without a doubt.”
@✽ mingyu k. Unlike with Johnny, he responded in kind and as she felt his arms circling her small frame her heart began to race in her chest. Instinctively she pulled him closer to her and tilted her head to deepen the kiss, forgetting where they were for a moment until she heard a chair scrape the floor across the room. With a soft grumble she reluctantly eased back enough to study his expression with curiosity, she wanted to understand him but she felt as if it might be impossible.
“I guess this is mission accomplished for day one.” Areum said with a light shrug and glanced around at the other customers who were looking at them. “So just let me know when you want to meet up to cause another scene in a few days so that these rumors take over. Alright?”
