Heleo - The Misty Continent

Long ago, two Celestial factions—exiled from the radiant Lumir realm—crash-landed on the enigmatic planet of Heleo. Their arrival reshaped this queer and mist-shrouded land. The Misty Continent, Heleo’s largest region, is home to 13 diverse nations separated by vast oceans and mountains. The land’s lifeblood flows from its magical natural springs, powering airships, steamboats, trains and revitalizing desolate territories, and sustaining the vibrant cities and villages scattered across its landscapes.

The Celestials’ fall was driven by the banishment of the Eye of Eternity, a catastrophic act that ignited the centuries-long conflict known as the Battle of Brothers. On one side stood the Solar Descenders, followers of the Demon King, who embraced free will, defied tradition, and indulged in their desires. Opposing them were the Lunar Ascenders, disciples of the Angel King, who upheld the sacred doctrines of the elder Gods, serving the all-seeing Eye and prioritizing unity and devotion above individuality.

As war raged, the brothers sought allies across Heleo. The Demons allied with Vampires, Shapeshifters, and Ghouls, while the Angels found support from Faes, Humans, and Cyborgs. Others—Dragons, Kitsune, Wolves, and mythical Merfolk—remained neutral, rooted in their ancient traditions. Yet, no one escaped the conflict’s shadow. The Battle of Brothers claimed hundreds of thousands of lives fractured the land and led to the annihilation of an entire ethnic group.

At last, weary of devastation, the thirteen nations forged an uneasy truce. The Grand Central Council was established, enforcing Heleo’s foundational laws to prevent further chaos. Though revolutions have been quelled, inequality lingers. The Imperial Council, driven by a rigid hierarchy, curtails rebellion—but cannot shield all from injustice. Across the continent, cultures, and beliefs diverge, guiding survival amidst an unforgiving world.
