welcome.
welcome.
It was never this way in the beginning. When every day citizens began exhibiting powers that set them apart from everyone else, either due to circumstances or mere intelligence, sure people were afraid, but they were accepting. These people soon joined the police force, became a part of bigger projects to keep the world safe. But things began to change as more and more villains emerged from those people. Once they began to abuse their powers, that's when views began to change.
Ever since the world began to see those with powers as a nuisance, a trouble, they started to be shunned. First, it started with public outcry. Then, the police began to call them vigilantes and put them behind bars for something like "the greater good."
Heroes and villains alike were slapped into prisons, into holding cells, and treated like animals. Villains were never good at staying under the radar, and even the ones that did learned that it was better to just stay hidden. People who exhibited such powers soon took on every day jobs: sitting in the office for hours, teaching children, answering customer service calls. They lived life like normal human beings, even if the world around them was crumbling. If they stepped out of the shadows, they would be persecuted.
However, a band of brave men and women got together to begin their work alone and in secret. If the police wanted vigilantes, there was no way they would be seen as anything such. Rumors began to go around of a group called the "new heroes" - though no one could ever find a real connection to confirm or deny these rumors.
NHA, also known as New Heroes Academy, was established for "gifted" students to freely practice and grow with their powers. Of course, it is hero based, as no one would want to encourage villain work. That's not to say some people don't slip through the cracks. At New Heroes Academy, you are given a chance to either prove yourself as a hero or a sidekick based on your powers.

Minors will not be allowed. They must be 19 years old or older. Even if they're turning 19 within a couple of months, weeks or days-- they must be 19 at the time of your application. The admins will be checking the ages of your characters to enforce this rule.

the application form for this roleplay is in the "rules" section on the right side tabs.

Reservations last for 24 hours. You may have one character from the start. A second character requires a complete profile on your first character and having been in the roleplay for one week. A third character requires 1,000 points on each of your characters and an admin has to confirm that you are doing something with your characters. This is to prevent character & faceclaim hogging and to encourage character building. there is a 10 day dating ban

This will be a slower paced au. Please do no expect it to be popping with activity all of the time, especially when everyone has lives. However, inactivity will be set to one week. It's not that hard to pop into the chat and let the roleplay participants know what has you busy. please pm seonghwa when leaving; do not comment.

Your character will be a student in the academy. Because people can open their minds to using their powers for good at any time, age does not matter. Teachers will be npcs, and you're free to use them at your disposal. However, keep in mind, all teachers are specifically heroes.

One quirk per student is allowed. That means, if the quirk is listed in the quirks room, then it cannot be anyone else's quirk. You are required to check that room before submitting an application. You must have this listed on your profile.
008
008
Though your student is in a hero school, you may have them dabble in villainry. This can range in a wide variety of things: a child of villains, trying to find their way (good vs evil), or even a villain in disguise. However, there's only a small window for those things to be allowed.
009
009
If you choose to be a villain in disguise, please mention it in your application and the main admin will contact you via pm with more information. Currently, there are no more hidden villain positions available. You want to keep this a secret if you are accepted.

When giving your character a quirk, you must also list a limitation (or a weakness). This is to make sure your character isn't all powerful and impossible to beat. Everyone has a weakness. Get creative! Feel free to check around other profiles to get an idea. You must have this listed on your profile.
011
011
Any comments asking if a character of quirk is free will be ignored. That's your responsibility to check, not the admin.
012
012
The password is to list what your character hopes to gain from studying at this school.

This is probably the most important rule. Absolutely no ooc drama, rudeness, blatant disregard for other rpers, etc. will be tolerated. You get one warning before you'll be kicked.
