@○ ⁞ jinyoung b 。 seeing a person approach her affirmed that they were in fact other people in this area. she could’ve sworn it looked pretty vacant though, though that could be just the radiant sunlight blocking her sight, or her overfixation on her now destroyed lunch. at first, hyunjin regarded the boy who proffered his lunchbox to her with a slow blink, eyes then going back and forth between his face and the lunchbox, which, to be honest, looked pretty scrumptious at the moment. though that could be the reverberant rumble in her stomach telling her to fill it up with some food.

she ended the brief silence by settling for a simple phrase of gratitude rolling off her tongue. “thanks!” hyunjin then took his lunch box into her possession, and instantly dug into it. as she made satisfactory hums as she indulged into her newfound meal, she then paused to give attention to the boy again. “i didn’t quite get your name, sorry. but since you gave me your lunch, i feel somewhat obligated to at least make amends. though, it’s not my fault if you’re starving at this moment.”

@○ ⁞ hyunjin k 。 for the most part, jinyoung was just vibing. lying down on the bleachers on the field with his backpack serving as a not so comfortable pillow, he closes his eyes and tries to count sheep. the dorms were right there but jinyoung didn't feel like the trek to his room was worth it. plus, the weather was partly cloudy with no chance of rain so it was a perfect day to enjoy some time outside. for him, that meant a siesta outside.

however that siesta was interrupted by a cacophonous explosion, prompting the young man to open one eye and then the other. he sits straight up and is early enough to see some girls lunch blow up to smithereens of charred debris. he stares on, not really questioning the fact that the girl had just (accidentally) blew up her lunch, but that the explosion of an aptly sized lunchbox was powerful enough to burn down the grass near her. he sighs, getting up from his spot and pulling out his own lunchbox as he approaches her. " that your lunch got burnt, you can have mine."

@○ ⁞ jinyoung b 。 it was a sunny day outside. the sun was shining down on her, radiating heat offset by the gentle breeze brushing past her face. maybe it would be a good idea to have a picnic in an outdoor area made for training. hyunjin, on a self-imposed lunch break, brings her boxed lunch containing gimbap, squid pickled with salt, and rye bread on the side, and bubble tea held in her other hand.

she let out as she was about to settle down on the grass, setting her food down, a fly crossed her path, seemingly about to mark its territory on her food. reflexively, she swatted at the fly with her hand, activating nitroglycerin liquid in her hands on accident. it led to a fiery explosion (which was medium sized, fortunately) being ignited from her hands on accident, causing her meal to be erupted into flames. while looking down at the debris that was formerly her lunch, her face was blank, eyes blinking slowly, as if it was nothing new to her. the grass within her proximity was singed by the fiery destruction from earlier. if anyone actually heard the explosion nearby, then no big deal to her. if anything, she’d be more vexed by the fact she has nothing to eat now.

"come on, you can do it. i'll catch you.. i think."

her arms reach up towards the small feline perched atop of one of the tree's branches, ryujin significantly lacking the height needed to help. knowing this, she had hoped her skateboard would be of use but even the added inch wasn't enough. noticeably frustrated (partially because she was the only student concerned with the small kitten), she ultimately decides that if the baby wasn't coming down, she was going up.

but before then, for safety measures, her hands flick towards the cat, freezing the poor baby in place. "sorry." she murmurs sheepishly, now nudging her foot upon a brief grove in the tree, and pressing her palms onto the body of the tree to steady herself. soon, and much to her relief, the kitten is practically within arm's reach, her fingers able to feather over it's fur as she attempts to coax the cat into her hold.

"oh wait."

she forgot to unfreeze. the wave of her hand and the tiny fur ball purrs, gently crawling their way onto ryujin's hold. "i got you." nodding, as if the cat would understand, she releases a breath she'd been keeping in once the kitten was in her embrace, squeezing it against her chest.

"alright, now we just gotta somehow get down from here. what's the worst that could happen? a broken hip? a concussion?" she pauses. "i hope you're good with collateral damage." shutting her eyes, she hops off of the tree, being sure to bend her knees upon contact with the grass before springing into a somersault. sure, some clumps of grass must've piled themselves in her hair, but she was more so glad that she probably looked like she came out of an action movie. an incredulous laugh slips from her lips, wriggling the kitten in her hold. "i think you might just be my good luck charm. come on, i'm gonna sneak you into class with me."
