Jungkook and nods smiles when you agree. He pats your arm gently with the same smile, which reached his eyes a bit as he looked at you. "okay. sounds good." Glancing behind you, though, he spots a basketball near the wall you were sitting. He points his hand in it's direction, fingers open, and creates an orb around it. By gently curling his fingers towards him, the ball floats in the white bubble until it lands in both of his hands. Now holding a ball with one hand, he smirks at you, raising a brow with a cheeky smile. "Game?"

@○ ⁞ jungkook j 。 he’s not sure what to say to that, eyes flicking down to his own arm, he never really paid attention to his gains, preferred to let things grow in its natural course. he’d seen this reaction before, didn’t really know what to make of it since many people had a similar physique to him. should he thank him? that might sound weird, whatever. the thought of being workout buddies didn’t sound all too bad, though he’s not entirely sure the other would be able to keep up. mingyu was used to overworking himself until the feeling of sleep washed over him, not the healthiest way to fall asleep but it did the job nevertheless. it, this might’ve been a sign for him to try new things, “okay.”

@○ ⁞ mingyu k 。 Jungkook chuckles a little, the grin still on his face, light. "You don't talk much do you?" He wasn't the type to talk a lot either, but somehow, he managed, maybe pushed to step a bit out of his boundaries and speak up a bit. He was just starting to notice how good looking you were, which resulted in him staring at your face in a open mouth smile, instead of looking at your muscles.
When he did snap out of it however, he raised his brows and smiled more, pointing at those veiny, toned arms. "Psh..uh.." he was kinda flustered and impressed, also at the fact that you had that masculine energy. "I'mpressive man." He nods, his finger still pointing at your arm before it made it's way into the back pockets of his jeans, his thumbs buried in his pockets. He then leans in, as if this were secretive, "Hey uhhhh listen. Would you like to be workout buddies?"

@○ ⁞ jungkook j 。 judging by the lack of strength in your hold (and the barrier type orb) he can only presume that jungkook was a defence hero unless he had some other power hidden up his sleeve. mingyu knew he was strong but he’s not the bragging type, unlike a few people he’s met here. he pulls up the sleeve of his shirt to reveal his toned muscles in order to answer the male’s questions. mingyu tended to work out whenever he had the time, relying on his powers never led to the best outcome for himself so he figured it was better to train up on hand to hand combat. it proved useful, his abilities complimenting his sheer strength. mingyu wouldn’t consider himself ‘new’, but it’s not like he’s a veteran either so he shrugs his shoulders, his previous smile being replaced by his resting neutral face.

@○ ⁞ mingyu k 。 Jungkook grins, keeping his smile until you clasped his hand. His eyes widen a bit at your grip. Wow. You were strong. But it was more than that-- this handshake also showed that you were a confident individual, and the quick pulling away of your hand maybe indicated that you weren't ready to trust him yet. That was ok. He himself was in the same place.
"Wow, you're strong," he smiles and looks away for a quick second as his hand pulls away at the same time as yours. He pats your shoulder. "Work out?" He grins before clearing his throat looking away for a bit again before crossing his arms and trying to pull his face into a serious expression. His mouth in a soft smirk. "You new too?" The smirk now softens in light smile as he notices the same light smile on your face.

@○ ⁞ jungkook j 。 ah. this kid talks a lot is the first thought that pops into mingyu’s head. it wasn’t particularly a bad thing, it just wasn’t something he was used to. reaching out slowly, he clasps the others hand firmly within his and shake it but releasing his grip. “mingyu.” he all but mutters, the corner of his lip curling up into the faintest of smiles — probably to make up for his lack of speaking. he saw no use in using up too much energy to grin, especially for someone he’d just met.

@○ ⁞ mingyu k 。 Jungkook sighed. He looked at you. "You don't look or sound convinced-"
He then looks at his feet and yields his hands, chuckling and shaking his head, "listen okay, I just got registered here and didn't have a tour guide of any sort to show me around," he chuckles, trying to lighten the slightly tension-y mood. He takes a deep breath, he felt like he was acting too much to as someone not him. He looks at you and grins, a slight chuckle leaving his throat, "but I swear..I'm not here to bring this place down. I'm here for good intentions, hopefully embed more of them in me, which is partly why I'm here." He nods, before looking at your unconvinced gaze, his bunny grin now in a pleasant smile, giving you a nod before sticking his hand out, "I'm jungkook."

@○ ⁞ jungkook j 。 watching in slight bewilderment as the orbs vanishes from view, mingyu releases the breath he didn’t know he was holding. though he can’t help but feel a hint of suspicion, the male could barely even form his sentences. but who was he to say, he never even talked so might as well cut the new kid some slack. his gaze never leaves him, nodding once he’d finished explaining himself as some sort of a reply.

@○ ⁞ mingyu k 。 The giant orb seems to disappear as soon as you retract your spikes and take a step towards him. Jungkook breathes a sigh of relief, with a hand on his chest, as he looks at your taller figure approaching. He takes a step back, looking up at you as you came closer. "Yeah I know..I'm a student here..I was exploring the place" he says, hopefully to convince you but he himself didn't sound convincing, taking another step back.

@○ ⁞ jungkook j 。 reluctant for a few moments, mingyu retracts his spikes but continues to stare down the other male. he didn’t seem to be lying, nor did his abilities look all too intimidating— the orb seemed to be some kind of barrier? whatever it was he makes a mental note, it was protecting that person. in a few quick strides, mingyu makes his way over which isn’t difficult considering how elongated his legs were. “it’s late.” is all he says, quiet yet sharp in tone but loud enough for the male to hear. part of mingyu trusted him but the other half still needed to confirm why this guy was even out here.

@○ ⁞ mingyu k 。 Jungkook's first response was to create this transluscent barrier around himself, as he abruptly paused in his steps. "Woah woah," he says. Noticing the huge spikes of darkness around you. He was midway in the court and hadn't even reach you yet. With his palms open around him, holding the shield, he looks at you, hoping you don't place an attack on him. "I'm not here to hurt you," he says, firm eye contact, but also a reassuring nod that he wasn't a threat. "I'm new here," he says, gulping and pausing a bit. "here to make friends, but that's only if you want to."

@○ ⁞ jungkook j 。 exhaustion evident in his expression, mingyu outstretched his legs, seeking some sense of comfort from the chilly air. he shouldn't be out here this late but he figured it was better than aimlessly staring up at his bedroom ceiling until the sun peeked through the windows. staying out to play basketball had become an unexpected habit of his, not that he was complaining. the sudden voice startles him, snapping him out of his reverie and he can't help but summon spikes from the darkness, rising up beside him in defence towards the source of the noise. the schools's a safe place, he continuously reassures himself but it doesn't hurt to be careful. whether or not the person was a threat, mingyu remains hushed, slowly lifting himself off the ground.

@○ ⁞ mingyu k 。 Jungkook was wandering around like he did before, exploring the place before an area caught his eye. It was mostly a...tennis court? But there was also a basketball hoop and sports equipment lying around. If there was anything jungkook liked, it was sports. Not necessarily as a passion, but more of a hobby. He enters the area slowly and looks around at the equipment, before someone catches his eyes. A boy, around his age, seems to be sitting by himself alone, in the corner end of the court where the basketball hoop was placed. He got curious, and walks towards his direction, slowly and cautiously, as he was a cautious person himself. He stops after one final step and calls out, gently, "hello?"
