"My power?" Seolhyun asks surprised. "My power is water manipulation. And yours? I am curious now." She said with a warm smile. This girl is very likeable for her.

@ᴅ ⁞ woong j 。 "You would be wrong. I feel like you need to look at yourself a little more clearly." With Woong at his side, Joohyuk took another sip of his punch with as much casual grace as he could muster in the moment. Truth be told, he didn't feel as composed as he presented himself, but for the sake of the night, he could make himself strong and confident and... perhaps even smooth. "You look really good too. Did I say that already? I'm not sure if I did or didn't." Or not that smooth.

@○ ⁞ sunwoo k 。 "i almost offered to bet on that." she retorts, reaching to tip his hat downward to cover his eyes just as he sends her a wink, fully knowing that he knew how to make her inevitably cringe (and laugh). "being seen with you, while you're wearing /that/, is already embarrassing, so don't do that."

truth to be told, she admires dancing. she's been attending classes at a young age (for her father, since he yearned for a normal daughter), yet when he gathers his composure to (almost) seriously take her lithe frame within his hold, she seemingly loses what it means to move? it isn't the first time she's slow danced with another person, she's actually quite efficient, but it's peculiarㅡthe way she was savoring this moment just for a second longer, to which she catches possibly too late to mask it. "be quiet." she mutters, etching out a chuckle as if to collect herself from the momentary haze. beginning to sway, there's a lilt in her step as she silently lays his dancing under her scrutiny habitually. "i take it you don't dance too often?"

@ᴅ ⁞ ryujin s 。 "oh, am i lucky i'm immortal, then." he flashes a gross wink, the nudge to his stomach causing him to let out a mischievous chuckle. "...i'm actually not, please don't try to find out", he then adds silently, the playful grin never fading from his lips as he lays his hand around your waist once you guide it towards its place. he'd been a little unsure as to whether to go on or not, not when ryujin didn't seem to enjoy the idea to take his hand properly - it feels distant, in a way. it's something that has always made things a little awkward between the two of them, because in moments like these, sunwoo realizes just how quickly and randomly their friendship shifts into something chill, something intense, some bickering here, some pep talk there. really, they had it all - all at the most random times.

with his hand on her waist, however, he is quick to cut their little wall - mostly constructed by constant bickering and little displays of dominance and superiority - down, and he steps closer, fixing his posture before taking slow steps at first. "whatever you say", he mutters, rolling his eyes in feigned annoyance.

@ᴄ ⁞ minho l 。 "it's definitely.. different," she tersely notes, though she's sure that he's already well aware. jokingly dusting off his shoulder, she nods up at him with a scrunched nose. "since you like pink, you and i can be matching with pink hair. i'll let mingyu know the next time we spray paint your hair. and i believe he's either trying to get his gross man feet in a decent pair of shoes, or currently shoving his hand in hyunjin's pants in the boys' bathroom this time." she catches the very slight change in his demeanor, yet she doesn't mention it, knowing that maybe he'd revert back to his quieter self as a consequence. "nice. she got real dressed up for tonight, so don't step on her shoes." now, she cracks a somewhat smile. "and maybe it should be a date- for you two."

@○ ⁞ sunwoo k 。 though she catches onto his playful demeanor, she's quick to shamelessly shut him down with the nudge of her elbow to his gut. "it won't, i suppose. but then again, to the wrong person, it just might." she says, as if to refer to herself, laughing.

"good, you know you should be running. one step from those flip flops and i will literally shove your face in the punch bowl." initially, her fingers don't thread through his, instead just clasping their palms, and her subtle footsteps drown through the music and crowd. as they approach a somewhat decent space around others, his question has her indubitably grinning. she guides his hand well around her waist, palms slowly riding up his chest and around his nape. "yes, you may, peasant." she sheepishly responds, chuckling just as he does.

@ᴅ ⁞ ryujin s 。 "stop that." he places his hands protectively over the straps across his chest, preventing her further abuse of its elastic properties. "i thought this was actually nice for me," he responds, silently admiring the type of pink the top was colored. he didn't want to admit it out loud, but he thought it was a nice change from his usual monotonous choice in clothing. maybe he'd actually change up his usual style for once. "ugh, this just taught me to stay away from you and gyu, wherever he is right now." the question has minho sheepishly rubbing the back of his head as he answers, "not a date but i believe jie asked me to dance."

@ᴄ ⁞ joohyuk n 。 "i'unno. maybe someone else had your attention. i didnt think i was all that special." when he looked up, it was with wide eyes, the shock clearly there. but joohyuk's arm around his shoulders had him distracted, pleasantly so, as he snugged himself a little closer. woong hummed softly, shaking his head a little as he took another sip, with his free hand, he gently patted joohyuk's chest. "you... definitely didnt waste any time. you look great, really."

@ᴅ ⁞ woong j 。 "And why not? Do you think I spend half as much time with someone else at this school?" The taller male took it upon himself to step up a little closer, casually draping an arm around Woong's shoulders and bringing him with a couple of steps from the table where they might inadvertently end up in someone else's way. "I'm glad you think so. Now I know I definitely didn't just waste my time with trying to look put together."

@ᴄ ⁞ joohyuk n 。 "i didnt... i didnt think you'd ask /me/..." not that woong had anyone else in mind to ask, but he was sure joohyuk would've had someone else to ask. there was a little hesitance as woong lifted his cup to his lips, taking a small sip while looking over the rim to look at joohyuk. his cheeks were flushed, and he smiled softly. "you still look good. better than with a hoodie and shorts. not that you dont look good then, too. i mean-- yeah, its working."

@ᴅ ⁞ ryujin s 。 "mh, god forbid... but really, rules are just meant to be broken, aren't they?", he mutters in a rather pensive tone, his brows raising in a challening, yet joking manner. "i don't think some grabbing will straight up send you to hell. will it now?", he asks, shrugging his thought off right away.

the confusion does not go unnoticed, and it causes the lad to tilt his head to the side, expecting some sort of comment or question to clear up the slightly awkward silence between the two of them - oh, but why's it so awkward? they're in a dance hall, nobody's focus is on them, it's really just them. oh, how the change of a setting can sometimes throw people off, he thinks to himself, placing his cup next to hers before tugging her closer by her hand. "deal. i'm stopping the moment i step on your feet, too - and run for my life." his words come off as rather sarcastic, and the corner of his lips tugs to a bold, cheeky grin. "may i ask for a dance, your highness?", he muses out in a playfully formal manner, and he cannot help but to chuckle at his own words.

@ᴅ ⁞ woong j 。 "Yeah, I was going to. Why do you look so surprised?" Joohyuk arched a brow, one directed over the rim of his plastic cup as he took a small sip of his punch. A quiet chuckle left his lips as Woong gestured at him, and he followed it by gesturing between them both. "And this is beachier? But don't worry. I dressed up for my date with you exactly so you wouldn't go looking for another date. Hopefully it's working."

@○ ⁞ jinyoung b 。 she hollers a little laugh, nodding along to her date's statement. "honestly, what were we thinking?" she muses, shaking her head with a chortle. "thank you, i think you look nice in pastels too." she hums along to the familiar tune before her head cranes over to her companion, with a visible look of confusion on his face. "you don't know this song?"

@ᴅ ⁞ nene 。 spotting her dormmate from across the gymnasium on the sweets stand, squinting to even closely observe the expression of her face. she's brought to a chuckle as she realizes the soured scrunching of her features; maybe she does need a little help. jieqiong grabs two glasses of fruit punch which, as she so duly wishes, is a tad bit better than the spicy fangs. "it's really weird, huh?" she asks as she approaches, handing a glass of punch over to the girl. "take this, it'll wash it out baobei."

@○ ⁞ seolhyun k 。 she nods curtly, her best efforts exerted into holding the small smile on her lips. "yeah, i just got here, but the place seems to be nice. powers can be so cool sometimes. speaking of which, what's your power?" she asks with a curious tone, head tilting to an angle as she awaits an answer.

@○ ⁞ mingyu k 。 @○ ⁞ hyunjin h 。 giggling at the other's response, she opted instead for grabbing hold of him by the wrist, leading him to where her she last left her best friend sitting. "i bet mingyu's eyes are gonna gouge out of their sockets when he sees you," she mentions with a chuckle, casting a wink to the lad behind her. after a few steps, they're in front again of the ever-famed kim mingyu. "someone's here to see you, nasty."

@ᴅ ⁞ yubin c 。 "because we thought it looked appropriate at the time," jinyoung snorts, leading her into the hall. he hears the muffled sounds of music becoming clearer and raises an eyebrow, he's never really heard this song before. he mentally shrugs, thinking that he should really invest some time getting into recent music. "but you look cute in the 'bright, obnoxious' red."

nene does not dance. she's not even sure if she has two left feet or that she's just too awkward to wave her limbs around. still, it does not stop her from attending the party, even if she does not have anyone to go with. nene stands by the sweets bar, instead, her eyes shining with curiousity as she goes through one sweet to another. "this looks yum," she thinks as she picks up a fang-shaped chocolate. however, her face contorts into one that is stricken with horror. wasn't april fool's over? why is this spicy?

@ᴅ ⁞ yubin c 。 " Yes I am new here. Are you too?" A little smalltalk does not hurt, she thought. She was still new and didn't know anybody. Maybe she could be a new friend here on this school? She would be happy about that.

@ᴄ ⁞ joohyuk n 。 "well, i was just saying-- wait... you were gonna ask me? like, you were... gonna ask me to go to prom? with you?" when woong looked up, his eyes were wide and he was a little shocked. after all, their first meeting hadnt exactly been a great kick off. but now... woong raised a brow, gesturing to joohyuk with a soft tsk, shaking his head a little playfully. "if you came here with a hoodie and shorts i think i would've had to find a new date. that wouldnt have been very beachy."

@ʙ ⁞ jieqiong z 。 the moment the words leave the girl's lips, the smile on his face freezes, entire body tensing up at the very image of a certain person who comes to mind at the word 'boyfriend.' suddenly feeling extremely warm in his overly fancy clothes, his hands flailed around as he tried to sign in a flustered panic. in the end, he just waved his hands around, too caught up in the fact that his crush was now being referred to as something much more. cupping his flushed cheeks, he exhaled a breath to calm himself down and shyly nodded at jie, extremely eager to see how mingyu had dressed.

@ᴄ ⁞ minho l 。 "yeah, anyone with eyes can see thatㅡ" she says, patting his strap splaying over his chest with her finger before etching it back slightly to snap it. "pink doesn't look /too/ bad on you, but black is definitely more of your color." is what her final comments are upon his attire before she takes a sip of her cup of punch, and soon raises it. "ah yes, bless my affinity for acrylic paints, for your hair doesn't look like some frizzed sheep fur anymore. i've done you a favor. anyway though, i already have an expected answer for this but, did you come with a date?"

@○ ⁞ sunwoo k 。 she elicits a small chuckle just as he does, evidently shuddering at the influx of memories that rush through her mind about the two aforementioned males. "god forbid anyone else do any grabbing. although i didn't see it, my eyes are still burning."
her lips part, purposeful to agree with his previous statement of the unrealistic plots of movies, yet, his question catches her completely off guard. she pauses for a brief moment, waiting for his punchline, but when it doesn't come, perhaps that is what fuels her confusion. fleetingly, she takes glances around the room, everyone mingling and dancingㅡexcept her and sunwoo. although she isn't much of a dancer, she guesses that it beats standing here. and plus, you could say that he looked somewhat cute.
"alright," she sets her cup onto the table, splaying her palm out for his. "but i'm stopping the moment you step on my feet."

@ʙ ⁞ jieqiong z 。 he's not sure what to do with himself, silently fidgeting with the purple ribbon-like fabric across his chest. really, he's not sure what to do at prom besides the fact that you dance at it. god, maybe he should just leave now and hope no one saw him. but then he notices her approaching him, and his worries calm down for now. "hi jie. it's nice to see you too," he responds with a small smile. "you look pretty tonight."

@○ ⁞ mingyu k 。 she eyes the same direction she was nudged towards, heaving a small sigh as she shakes her head. "i know, but that also doesnt stop me from trying to stop you," she mutters, half distracted with the sight of the other male across the room. after a few moments, she spoke once more. "you think he'll dance with me?"

@○ ⁞ jinyoung b 。 taking his offer, she snakes her arm around his and retorts with a chuckle to his earlier statement. "here i am wearing bright, obnoxious red and you're wearing pastels. remind me again why we bought these?"

@○ ⁞ seolhyun k 。 offering a little smile im acknowledgement, yubin decides it would be nice to initiate small talk – very unlikely of her, but alas, she needed friends and she had to find a way to make them somehow. "you're new here?"

@○ ⁞ hyunjin h 。 the visible juxtaposition upon his features the moment she approached him was far too amusing for jieqiong not to giggle, giving the other a little twirl as he assessed her ensemble. "i know right? this was on sale too!" she muses, half chuckling and half jittering in her place. "wanna go to the others? i was with your boyfriend just a few minues ago."

@ᴅ ⁞ ryujin s 。 "i am most definitely not a prom gyu," he responds with a sigh, looking at all the people gathered in one place. there's just... so many people, dancing, eating, having fun in semi-formal wear. he dressed up too to match the ocassion. (unfortunately, his wardrobe didn't match the theme so he had to go shop for a new top.) but he still feels so out of place. "tried that already. i need more than soap to undo your mess."

@ᴅ ⁞ ryujin s 。 his gaze shifts over to the two guys ryujin has referred to, however, he makes sure not to be too obvious.
"as long as nobody s my and calls it love, I'm good." he can't help but to let out a quiet chuckle at the thought, though.
"movies... movies are fake, anyway." this gives him an idea, but he's not sure whether he wants to take the risk of getting slammed against the wall this instantly or not ㅡ however, he decides to give it a shot, but with an ounce of playfulness in his voice that would make it rather confusing as to how serious he is about his following question;
"wanna try it?"
