she's in plain sight, she's sure, but this only begs the question of why her supposed target still remains oblivious as to who did it. she was clearly the only one in the room.. right? curiously, she trudges closer to the man, experimemtally waving her arm in front of his eyes silently.
Blissfully unaware of the incoming attack, he's still focused on falling asleep as quickly as possible- well that is until the voice interrupts his peaceful zoning out, fluffy head shooting up into the air with clear confusion. "what-" Entirely unable to avoid the projectile, he's hit squarely in the chest with a dull thud. "--who--"
watching the male before her tread his way over to the couch like clockwork, she remains unaware of his disability as she tosses her stress ball in the air and freezes it. utterly bored, her gaze averts to him once more. this time, she under-hands her stress ball towards his chest, voicing out, "incoming."
The road to the lounge is one that he’s walked enough times by now to remember, confidently striding in almost as if he could see. Not that he needs to- he’s betting on the quietness of the space at this hour, wandering towards his favourite seat to curl up in an take a brief nap.
in his moment of clarity, he genuinely listens to ryujin's words. he didn't expect her to be the one offering comfort or anything of the sort for that matter. it's... nice to hear that out loud for once, that he matters, that there are people he can identify with. he can't remember the last time someone said that and actually meant it. guilt suddenly awashes over him however, and he clamps down on his emotions. he shouldn't have done that. he doesn't need the people he's come to know become aware of his problems. he should have left the moment it was first questioned. "no, you're fine ryujin," he says with a sigh, shaking his head. "i'm sorry. i won't bother you guys with anymore of this." picking up his discarded treat from the floor, he leaves jie and ryu by themselves.
it startles her the moment he punches the wall. the raise in his voice, she predicted as she leisurely tears her skittles packet, but she never would've thought for him to be one for violence. and perhaps that still reigns true as he rests his head upon the build of the wall, attempting to catch a breather. "minho," she calls out, abandoning her candy to make her way over, a hand reaching atop of his shoulder gently before sighing. "you're not normal, that's the thing. you're trying to be.. but you- us, we're not normal. and it's hard, i know it is, and who understands that better than us? we will not throw you away like you have no worth, and we will not let this incident get to you. i'm genuinely sorry that happened to you, but stuff like that is why we're here at the academy; to be heroes. to show our ignorant society that even though they're scared of us, we're also human, we also feel just as they do. so, don't fret over a small tumble, just be ready to prove them wrong once their bus goes rolling off a bridge and you save them like spiderman, dude." she shrugs, maneuvering to too rest her head onto the wall, facing him with a fraction of a smile. "am i overstepping?"
"deal with it" "quit thinking about it" he's heard it all before, done it all before. but it never erased feeling of never being wanted anywhere. some had it easier, like ryujin and jieqiong, blending in in plain sight, and then there were people like him. "don't you think i've tried that before already? don't you think i've tried to be normal, look normal just to be able to hold a simple conversation with someone? i've tried so hard for s' sake but eventually they know. and when they know, they throw you aside like you're worth nothing." he's seething at this point, tossing aside the chocolate bar he's lost the appetite for. still some anger left in him, he throws a punch to the wall, resting his head against it. he doesn't dare mention the moment he used his ability on the person, delighted at the way he saw them suffer and fall.
an eyebrow of her lifts at his insinuation of colored lens, for which she has failed to notice the times they've hung out - partially because she didn't necessarily care. curiously, she leans forward as if to capture a glimpse of his natural shades until he's tossed her the skittles packet, now responding with an incredulous tone. "so that's why you're throwing a hissy fit? it isn't too hard to spot a freak," she retorts on a whim. "that's the cost of everyone here having quirks; we can't just go freely looking at flowers, dude. that's just how it is. so what i'd say is just deal with it and quit thinking about it."
minho would really love to just leave ryu and jie alone and spare them from the anger that's threatening to come forth, but he doesn't, as if a part of him refuses for ryu to have the last word. "i literally did nothing. i just stood there to admire the flowers and they suddenly told me to leave. i didn't bother wearing my colored contacts today so maybe they put two and two together and figured i had a quirk, which is just ing stupid." the skittles finally fall down into the slot below, and he pulls them out, tossing the packet to where ryujin sat on the couch. heaving out yet another sigh, he can still feel the anger bubbling at the surface.
