The Chimeric Ward

The Chimeric Ward

At the heart of Grand Central's bustling Midgard Square, the Chimeric Ward rises like an enchanted relic of both healing and mystery. Its towering, smoke-glass spires gleam in the misty daylight, reflecting hues of molten gold and spectral blue from the arcane lanterns adorning its wrought-iron gates. Steam-powered cogs and gears hum softly, driving the intricate clockwork mechanisms embedded within its walls. Inside, a labyrinth of marble-floored halls pulses with ethereal energy, where glowing veins of Ivory intertwine with brass piping to infuse the air with a faint, invigorating warmth.

This sanctuary serves the lost and the broken: the impoverished, the orphaned, and the weary souls of Heleo. Here, magical alchemy merges with advanced steampunk machinery to heal the body, mind, and spirit, offering comfort to all who enter its hallowed halls.

@♆ Choi Seunghyun Immersed in the details of the deceased’s file, Lisa’s mind was entirely consumed by the information in front of her. The silence in the dark admin room was thick, and though she sat alone, her focus remained unbroken. That is, until the faint sound of a door clicking shut reached her ears. Her attention lifted, but there was no panic. She wasn’t worried about being caught. Lisa had her own methods for slipping out of tight spots like this one. Slowly, she set the file aside, folding the folders neatly and placing them onto the desk with deliberate calm. "Is the body burning yet?" she asked, her voice smooth, confident.

Turning on her heels, she faced the figure now standing before her, tall and imposing in the shadows. His gaze locked onto hers—fiery red eyes, sharp and intense, as if they could pierce right through her. Something about him pulled at her, a strange mix of allure and danger. She didn’t flinch. In fact, she took a step closer, the dark, oversized lab coat the doctor wore draping around her shoulders like it belonged to her. Her long hair cascaded over her chest, brushing just above her waist as she moved, graceful and unbothered.

A smile, soft yet sly, curved on her glossed lips as she sized him up. "You did excellent work, Doctor," she purred, voice dripping with both praise and something else—something colder. "Shame you couldn’t save him, though. What went wrong? I thought your success rate was exceptional. What happened?" She tilted her head slightly, her eyes glinting with genuine curiosity. "Rough day?" she mused, her arms crossing comfortably over her chest as she leaned back into a stance of quiet, confident pride.

Lisa let out a soft breath, her smile never faltering. "But it’s no matter, is it? Thank you for helping end that pig's suffering. Next time, though," she added with a teasing lilt, "you should’ve just made it faster."

@⚜ Son Seungwan ¥✔ "Such fascinating creatures." The demon purred, his voice a silken rasp. He idly polished a gleaming, wickedly sharp scalpel. "So fragile. So....predictable." He glanced at Seungwan's plead. "And yet, you dedicate your lives patching them up. A noble, if ultimately futile endeavour." The demon smile didn't reach his eyes. It was predatory curve, a display of teeth that seemed a little too long, a little too sharp.

"Please...you don't understand. You're not responsible of me." Dr. Choi said to the woman, his voice strained from the agony that's drilling deep into his cavity. "Please...save yourself." He gritted his teeth, holding the woman's wrist. The vampire doctor knew of the consequence of his past actions and waterfalls of tears begging for the hybrid to run. She got hold of the wooden stake and the excruciating pain that followed echoed throughout the oblivion.

The stale scent of rotting body warred with a cloying menace in the dimly lit prison as Seunghyun writhed on the nasty soil of death. Bones cracking and blood oozing from his mouth, the doctor's complexion grey. Clammy, he is sweating. "Arggghhh!" The doctor screamed, gripping his stomach as if something else is eating him inside.

"You're an idiot. Drink, Seunghyun." The demon murmured, his amusement returning. "Kill her."

Seunghyun's ivory incisors sharper and longer. with a closed fist his hanging onto the ground. "Dagger" He grunted, crawling slowly towards the woman. He clutched Seungwan's arm tightly, fangs at ready as he tilted his head going for the jugular. "F---ind--" He grunted stopping himself from attacking. "the dagger. That's the only way you can control him."

For a moment, the demon thought the man would attack the lady. But in an instant, the vampire turned at the demon and moved with impossible speed, blur of dark coat and pale skin. He got a hold of the demon and pinned him against the door. "RUN!"

@დ Lalisa Manobal The air in the mortuary was colder than usual, even for a place dedicated to the deceased. Dr. Choi, or rather, the demon masquerading as him, tugged his tailored coat tighter around his shoulders. The damp chill seemed to seep into his very bones, a sensation remarkably unpleasant for a creature of hellfire.

He wanted to investigate a particularly potent source of malice that had been emanating from that treatment room. But his superiors, an infernal cabal with a penchant for the dramatic would bombard him with questions if the demon let this go. It wasn't the usual despair and grief that clung to such places; this was a venomous, almost palpable presence.

Mortuary Assistant Joe, a man whose skin was the color of old parchment, shuffled nervously beside the steel slab. “They said you were ... responsible...her friend,” he stammered, adjusting his thick glasses that magnified his already anxious eyes.

"Indeed. A sister. She has been missing for a long time." Seunghyun purred, examining the body with practiced grief. The corpse was young, female, and unnaturally pale, even for the recently deceased. He rubbed the ring he wore– a collection of exquisitely jewels that even a genuine vampire would envy – and began his charade. "Cause of death?" His voice low, a hypnotic rumble that usually made mortals pliable.

Joe swallowed hard, "They found her in the alleyway. A silver bullet to the heart, I believe. Her friends from the force are bewildered since she is..."

"Suppose to be immortal." Seunghyun grunt in professing his pain.

Seunghyun let his gaze wander around the dimly lit room. The stainless-steel tables gleamed under the harsh florescent lights overhead. He could feel the prickling unease, the heavy weight of the malice, but he couldn't pinpoint the source. It was like trying to locate a single rotten apple in an orchard – the stench was everywhere, but the origin remained elusive.

"Perhaps." He said, tapping his finger against his chin.

"The police are done with the autopsy. Does she have any relatives? Or an owner. I noticed she is a slave." Joe asked.

"Not that I know of. Though..." His eyes met the mortary assistant's and sighed. "Never mind. Can you release her body to me?"

He moved to the next slab, and the next, examining each body with meticulous, if feigned, care. Each time, the same frustrating result. "This is taking forever." Empty vessels, devoid of the malicious energy he sought. The feeling, he realized with mounting irritation, was getting stronger, almost… taunting him.

Joe jumped at the suggestion. "Well, sir," he stammered, pulling his sleeves over his hands as if warding off something unseen, "it has to be her owner or relative that's the protocol."

Seunghyun clenched his jaw. "But I'm of her kind. My family took her in till she is able to stand on her own. So if that is not enough, then please tell me your price."

It felt mundane. Frustratingly, infuriatingly mundane. He should be looking for that energy and he could taste it. It is near. A replacement for that idiot of a man. Dr. Choi returned and touched the woman's pale face. "Please she deserves a honourable funeral."

And they shook hand. The doctor asked that the mortary hold the body till he comes back later that day. In reality the demon just want to brag and torture the poor soul he keeps. "Must remind him of what he did."

He focused his senses more intently, reaching out with the tendrils of his demonic awareness. Dr. Choi returned walking down the same corridors back to that treatment room. Seunghyun slammed the door opened with a growl. "Aha!" But the body no longer there. The source becoming tangible. "Make haste, Doppleganger."

He turned and retraced his track then stopped in front of the admin's office. It is already after hours and no one should be there, yet there is a presence that intrigued the demon. A grin turned devious as he slowly peeked through the gap. "And hello there..." He slammed sneaked in, eyes glowing red.

@♆ Choi Seunghyun Humming softly to herself, Lisa strolled down the sterile hospital hallway, her steps light and unhurried, as though nothing had happened hours before. As though she hadn’t just carried out a personal assassination. The scent of antiseptic clung to the air, and the quiet hum of fluorescent lights above only added to the eerie calm around her. But the shifter wasn’t in a rush to leave. She lingered, contemplating. The corpse she had left behind — was it truly just another casualty in the game, or was there more lurking beneath the surface?

Family. He seemed like the family type — a man who likely had roots, children perhaps, someone with a story of his own. People like him, after all, had the tendency to sell their kin out for money or, worse still, a taste of something far darker. But no. Lisa frowned, shaking off that thought. This man had power, wealth. Greed had granted him luxuries, but not enough power. Not enough to keep someone like her from carrying out his execution, coldly, unknowingly.

So, who else? Comrades, maybe? People who had shared in his wealth, his corrupt pleasures? Or perhaps even those who pretended to be his friend just to mooch off his success. It was easy to get close to someone like him, after all. But now that he was dead, his wealth and influence would soon pass to someone else. Someone close to him. Someone who might want revenge. Lisa’s lips curled into a tight, humorless smile. She would be ready for whatever storm was coming her way.

The thought gnawed at her as she moved with purpose, searching for a doctor’s coat — white, long, the kind worn during operations. It would allow her to slip deeper into the heart of the hospital undetected, to find what she needed. She knew where to look. The deceased man was no ordinary patient; with his riches, he’d been granted the VIP treatment. He would be in the system somewhere. The files would tell her more.

She found herself standing in a quiet, sterile room. The faint rustle of paper was the only sound as she sifted through the empty files, eyes scanning with impatience. They were all too neat, too orderly. No picture, no clue. If only she could find a photograph — an image, something that tied him to his identity. That would be the key. The one thing she needed to move forward. She continued searching, every minute feeling heavier with the weight of the unknown. Whatever was coming, it would be too late for anyone to stop her now.

@დ Lalisa Manobal [Warning: mentions things related to death]

In the dimly lit hallway of the Infirmary, where the shadows danced to a tune of whispers and secrets, Dr. Choi cracked his knuckles, listening to the guards description of the woman who brought in the notorious abuser. The guards swore that they did not see her leave the premises. The demon, a being of the abyss who fed on despair and suffering surely loved that the man died in such horrible death. Seunghyun cannot show the pleasure it brought him. "Do not celebrate yet." Deception - the green snake wrapped around his neck. "The vicious man died, truly a piece of trash and a good pawn to Fear." The snake hissed but Seunghyun paid no attention to it. He is aware that his station is below others. A mere spirit who would do anything to get ahead.

The air hung heavy with the scent of rain, suddenly Seunghyun felt a sudden surge of energy feeding his powers - something deliciously deceitful and manic. The energy flowing from the room where he left the dead body. "Oh my. Riveting." The snake's eyes glow green. Seunghyun did not let the guards finished and made use of his feet. Soft click of heels punctuating the silence, a sound of both pain and victory. He is now few meters away, he instinctively picked up the pace.

"Doctor."

"What?!" His voice boomed as he spun around. Eyes became dark as death. The poor petite man shivered, hands shaking handing over a paper. "The man's death certificate. We need it."the man said. The atmosphere crackled with tension, and the demon felt the familiar thrill of a hunt. But here he is stuck with a daunting task that is causing him precious time. He snatched the paper and found a quill and ink on the table close to the forms the patients must fill before seeing the psychiatrist. "There." He said, sliding the paper across the table.

"We also need you to identify a body." The coroner spoke that Seunghyun's citrine orbs kept flashing. "Unraveling you must not. Or might as well be sentenced to a thousand years of unending flogging." Deception bites his neck. Seunghyun pressed his palm against his face. His eyes that of the Vampire Doctor as he stared at the man. It was sincere and sympathetic. "Lead the way." He said as he was ushered away towards the mortuary.

@⚜ Son Seungwan ¥ I thought you might like to meet someone new since everyone in your life has moved on."The demon's tone held an edge of something more than just teasing. The demon slowly, deliberately, taunting the man curled within, bound and gagged. His skin, as pale as the demon's. His eyes, however, were intelligent and filled with raw terror. The real Choi Seunghyun staring at her.

"You see, Miss Son, the charade of mortal physician is a tedious one." The demon said, his eyes glowing with malevolent light. His lips peeled back in a smile that displayed teeth far too sharp for any human. Her fear and anger fuelling the demon. "It's much more fun to indulge my true nature." His features begun to contort. The human facade melting away to reveal a demonic visage, then different faces of men and women sprouting each time he walked a step closer to them. "You should have seen your face." The demon hissed, his voice a gravelly rasp now. "Aw. See, Seuhyungie? I keep my promises. I brought you a companion. " He gave a cruel laugh, the sound grating on Seunghyun's ears.

The man curled even further as the wooden stake digging into his chest. In agony, tears fall from his eyes and his cry muffled by the rope stuffed between his teeth. "Huh? what?" The demon's face rippled with amusement as Seungwan unchained the man. "Let's hear it. shall we?" He purred and snapped his fingers.

A gasp, weak and ragged, filled the air. Seunghyun reached for support and got a hold of the woman's arms. "Do--n't, ple-ase..Ji--nah, No. Na-ka...--" He looked at her intensely. "No...miss..Son, is it? Leave. Run." He said. His heart hammering against his ribs. "I won't survive." With all his might, he pulled the woman into an embrace that his face buried against her neck. "Please save yourself."

@♆ Choi Seunghyun [no worries at all]

The chaotic scene unfolding below her was nothing short of amusing. In the midst of the frenzy, incompetent nurses stumbled over their own feet, while the doctor, a man who seemed to thrive under pressure, barked orders with increasing urgency. He moved with a frantic precision, his every action aimed at saving the fragile life on the table. If Lisa were capable of laughter, she’d have been doubled over in delight, watching the disarray like a performance in a circus. It was a pitiful display—each moment more absurd than the last. As the room cleared, and the body lay abandoned on the cold metal table, an eight-legged spider descended gracefully from the ceiling.

Once the room was empty, Lisa shifted into her human form, her delicate feet barely making a sound as she stepped forward. She crouched beside the man’s lifeless body, observing him with an almost casual air. Dead, indeed. The poison had done its work swiftly, and had it not been for that, Lisa would’ve been savoring her feast by now.

She examined the man’s body with clinical detachment. The frantic efforts of the doctor were all too visible, his futile compressions leaving faint, desperate impressions on the chest. It was clear he’d tried, but there had been no hope from the start. “So, this is how it works,” Lisa murmured softly to herself, her voice almost mocking. “Thank you so much for being a guinea pig, sir.” Her thumb gently brushed across the cold, pallid skin of his forehead, the chill of death seeping into her fingertips.

Leaning closer, her lips brushed lightly against his ear, her breath warm against the lifeless flesh. “I wish you well on your next painful journey...” The words were whispered with an eerie softness, an odd mixture of sympathy and amusement. She stood and stepped back, the soft click of her heels punctuating the silence as she made her way out of the room, leaving the body behind like an abandoned plaything.

@დ Lalisa Manobal [sorry about the length. Got carried away]

The patient pale, sweat-slicked, and his breathing was shallow, a ragged sigh against the sterile silence. The poison was eating him from the inside out – a concoction, Seunghyun recognized with grim expertise, that was both potent and agonizingly slow. There was no need to cut him up as the doctor can heart the loud thump telling him the heart is working hard to pump blood. “”Doctor how many units?” Someone said behind him. Seunghyun’s eyes blazing red and said, “Give him 50 units.” There is a faint thunderstorm above his head that only the demon can hear. “He must not die, Doppelgänger. Remember what’s at stake. Souls be damned. And you’ll get that promotion.”

“Argh—“ A gagging sound followed by a heave. Seunghyun went to overdrive when the man convulsed like a fish taken out of water. He pushed the man against the bed, holding him down while they insert the cannula in.
“Motherers!” He turned to the nurses trying to calculate how of the black tar must go inside the bag. “Ugh…” he groaned. “It’s half the vial! Hurry up!!”

In nervousness the nurse dropped the vial. The frustration nipping away his demeanour that he told the doctor in training to hold the patient with his dear life. “If he falls and gets a concussion that’s three demerit points.”

He dashed towards the treatment table, shoving the nurses. He grabbed a new vial and opened it. “I didn’t mean to drop it.” A teary eyed young woman said. “Each second counts. You have to be careful.” Seunghyun bluntly said. He grabbed the syringe and pushed the black tar into the bag.

“She’s new.” A senior nurse said.

“Is that my problem? You should train them better.” He walked past them and administer the treatment. The liquid travels through the line while the doctor squeezed the bag to push the treatment.

“What a jerk.” A murmuring voices ticked him. The vampire doctor snapped the nurses a look that they flinched.
“He is dying and you have time to gossip.”
And us they rolled their eyes, someone shouted. “He is not breathing.”

In an instant, they all jumped to assist. Seunghyun laid his eyes upon the dying man. His pulse drastically slowing down. In everyone’s surprise, the vampire doctor went on top of the bed and started to resuscitate the man. “Come on! Don’t die on me.” He pants as he pushed his palm against the man’s sternum.

“We need to revive him. Lee!” He shouted while the others start to administer medicine to revive the man.

A man stood across Seunghyun. A spark of electricity popping around his hands. “Stand clear!” The man shouted. Everyone including Seunghyun moved away from the bed. He ran a hand over his forehead as if there’s sweat on it. The other medical professional placed his hand and the patient’s body jolt forward. Seunghyun did not wait and jumped in to give compressions. This cycle of administering electricity and compressions went for an hour. The man’s chest now bruised and life had left him.
“Doctor Choi…” a soft voice and a hand brushed his back. The Vampire doctor looked at the dead man’s face, panting. He raised his eyes and saw the clock. “Dead at 1:30am.” He uttered. There’s thundering sound and a hollowing cry. He balled his hand into a fist.
“There’s nothing else we can do.” Nurse Lee spoke. He ignored it. Pissed that the man died on his watch.
“Find out if he has a family.” The other doctor said. But one of the nurses told them about the woman who brought the man.

Seunghyun did not say a word and walked out, wanting to investigate what happened.

Something totally foreign for the man. “Do you sleep well when the sun is out?” He asked, followed by picking up his pace behind her. A grunt left his lips but he soon stood tall.

@♆ Choi Seunghyun In an instant, the man on the brink of death was ripped from her reach. Lisa held her expression impassive, her eyes cold as she watched the flurry of activity behind the double doors—the staff moving in a frantic, chaotic blur as they worked to save him. The sterile, unnervingly bright hospital felt suffocating, a place where death was almost a routine and the air was thick with the scent of antiseptic. To Lisa, it was a godforsaken place, a far cry from the violent, relentless world of the sea where she had learned to survive. She knew just enough to stay alive in the face of certain death at sea. Sure, there were a handful of medical professionals on board the ship who could patch up a soldier’s wounds, but Lisa had never bothered to learn much about their methods. After all, she was the one being stitched up after every scuffle, not the one doing the stitching.

Ensuring no one was around, Lisa shifted into the tiniest form possible—a delicate, nearly invisible spider. Her eight legs scuttled rapidly across the cold floor, moving with precision and speed as she squeezed herself through the tiniest of cracks beneath the doors. She darted through the narrow gap, slipping silently into the shadows of the operating room. There, she perched in the darkest corner of the room, her multiple eyes now wide open, keenly observing the frantic efforts unfolding before her. The staff surrounded the operating table, working in a synchronized frenzy, trying to salvage the life of the man lying there, struggling to stay alive. But in Lisa’s mind, she could already hear the ticking of a clock, counting down the precious seconds of his life, knowing it would all be over soon.

If she truly wanted to, Lisa could have been a deadly assassin. Her mind was sharp, calculating, and as quiet as a shadow. A world without the kind of people she now watched would be a much cleaner one. But those days—those endless, bloody days of battle—felt like a distant memory. The weight of constant conflict had worn her down over the years, leaving only a lingering weariness. A hunt would be too exhausting now. And besides, if word ever got out that she had taken up such work again, she would have to leave town, vanish into the unknown once more. It wasn’t worth the hassle of starting over.

Below her, the nurses followed the doctor’s commands without question. Yet, despite the chaos unfolding, Lisa’s attention lingered on the doctor himself. There was something about him, something she couldn’t quite place, but it tugged at her curiosity. Beneath his calm, professional demeanor, there was an underlying intensity, an edge that made Lisa pause and wonder just who this man truly was. It was that mystery, that sense of hidden depths, that pulled her in.

@დ Lalisa Manobal The flickering gaslight cast long, dancing shadows across the cobblestone street. Rain slicked the worn stones, making the run down alleyway glisten like a serpent's scales. Inside the infirmary, a place more commonly associated with magic and modern medicine, Dr. Choi Seunghyun bent over his patient. He was a picture of Heleo elegance: long, white coat, pale skin and eyes that seemed to absorb the very darkness of the room, that wasn't entirely due to his profession.

He had taken keen interest in the messy, fascinating lives of its inhabitants. His current guise was purely for his own amusement, a way to indulge in a bit of morbid curiosity. A talent for mimicry, and the doctor persona was particularly entertaining.

After reviving a known lord of the Materia Highlands, the nurse ran to call the doctor on duty that night.

"May I remind you, Dr. Choi." The nurse sighed, rubbing her forehead in frustration. "The director specified that---
"Ugh..." He rolled his head back. "I did a week straight. Why don't you ask that Dr. Sae."

"No! You cannot get away this time. " The nurse held a hand up then clutched the hem of her uniform for support. "besides, the other doctors already covered your shifts when you said you have important patients. Go out there or I'll report you."

"Yeah. yeah. Yeah." Seunghyun waved his hand in dismissal. He begrudgingly manned the forth, half-heartedly attending to the sick and the injured. With or without his terrible bedside manner, he still managed to cure most of the patients who rolled in. Something they cannot complain about. The vampire doctor is known to be good at his job. So, when he walked towards station few bats their lashes, trying to get his attention.

The door bursts opened. Nurses rolling in a man who was in bad way. His skin clammy, lips blue, and he was rattling with each shallow breath. "Dr. Choi hurry!" One shouted. Seunghyun picked up his pace and he was walked in. His eyes widen and his passiveness turned reactive. The man on the hospital bed, notorious for abusing not only women but children. Someone the platoon of destruction has been using as their pawn. He cannot let him die, not just yet. he surmised the cause: a rather potent dose of poison. "Get the activated charcoal. And push it quickly." The nurses ran to grab all the medicines, the syringes, saline bags and the needles. Seunghyun rolled his sleeves and and begun checking his vitals.

She saw through him, knew what he was: a predator with no remorse. But he had no idea who was watching, and soon, he wouldn’t have the chance to hurt anyone again.

Standing up from her seat, Lisa made her way to the bar, her steps measured and purposeful. She knew exactly what she was doing. The drink she ordered was one she had seen the man indulge in all evening, and it would be the perfect delivery for her plan. As the bartender poured the amber liquid into a glass, Lisa’s fingers brushed the small vial tucked into her thigh bag. The vial held something much more potent than any poison—it was the result of her years spent alone on a deserted island, learning the intricate uses of plants and herbs for survival. With the expertise of someone who had once relied on nature for her life, she poured the indigo liquid into the drink, stirring it just enough to mix. The effects would be swift and irreversible.

With the drink in hand, Lisa strode toward the man, her movements full of confidence. His boisterous voice reached her ears before she even stood in front of him, bragging about how many women he could conquer in a night. She smiled sweetly, her voice warm and inviting as she spoke. "Sir, care for a drink? It’s on me." The man looked up, eyes immediately scanning her body. Her tight corset accentuated her bust, and her skirt, though modest, clung to her form just enough to spark his interest. But it wasn’t just her body that caught his attention; it was her face—beautiful, serene, with long hair that fell like silk down her back. He grinned, clearly taken by her, and without hesitation, he grabbed the drink from her hand and pulled her into his lap. His touch sent a surge of disgust through her, but she swallowed it, waiting for the right moment.

Lisa kept her composure, her insides seething with the urge to strike. She had to be patient. The man threw back the drink without a second thought, smashing the glass against a nearby pillar as he laughed obnoxiously. Lisa didn’t flinch. Within moments, his laughter faltered as he began to cough, his face slowly turning a sickly shade of purple. His throat tightened, unable to draw air. Lisa feigned concern, her expression turning to one of fake worry as she rushed to his side. His hands clawed at his neck, gasping for breath, but it was no use. He fell backward with a sickening thud, his body jerking and convulsing. Lisa moved quickly, maintaining her calm demeanor. She stood up, lifting the dying man in her arms with deceptive strength, the weight of his body a mere inconvenience to her.

With a purposeful stride, she carried him out of the tavern, heading straight for the infirmary. She banged on the door, shouting for help. "He's dying. Help." The facade was flawless. The coward would never hurt anyone again.

@♆ Choi Seunghyun [H] Seungwan just stood there, frozen as the demon starts voicing out his anger towards the hybrid. As the strong wind came out of nowhere, she stood her ground as the demon had voiced displeasure towards Seungwan. Despite the fear she is feeling, she toughened herself up and balled her both hands into fists as she looked at the demon, “What. Did. You. Do?!” She said firmly at the demon. She is ready whenever the demon will strike her, she had enough power to fight back, she’s no longer the helpless girl she once was. She is stronger, more bolder.

@⚜ Son Seungwan ¥ Inch by inch the doctor is no longer recognisable. The long thin ill-looking humanoid hunched in a ball wailing. The deception worked well. He talks, walks, smells Nd speaks like the doctor. He has access to Seunghyun’s memories. The demon embodied the infamous doctor to a tea including his weakness. A serious loophole on his cursed power. Taunting voices ringing in his ears while his comrades watched him suffer. He huffs and puffs as if choking. The smell of fire and brimstone coming mixing with the air. “R—-r—un.” A man’s voice echoed, pleading. “Pl—ease…run!“

“Someone shut him up!” The demon roared like a lion, twisting and turning all over the floor. “I swear. I’ll kill you.” His voice changing, gripping his chest till he stopped moving, his face pressed against the floor. Puff of smoke coming out of his ears and mouth. The temperature dropped quickly as strong blasts of wind wreak havoc inside the office.

“Do you really wanna know what happened to that bastard?” Thousand of voices can be heard coming from the demon. A finger twitched then another, till it is balled into a fist. “Do you?!”

“Milady, please save yourself!” The same voice urging.

@♆ Choi Seunghyun [H] As the light shown towards the vampire doctor’s pale skin, it quickly melted as soon as the light touches his skin. That’s where Seungwan saw his true form, a demon hiding inside a vampire’s body. Her eyes widen at the revelation and yet she stood there when the ‘demon’ begged for help. The kindness that the doctor did was just a ruse, a deception for the hybrid to bite on. “You’re not a real vampire, you’re a demon in disguise!” She told him as she stand beside the light, “What did you do to doctor Seunghyun?” She starts interrogating him.

@⚜ Son Seungwan ¥ In a hurry to leech off from Mr. Pembroke and to show off once the prince comes around to ask about his quota, Seunghyun made a mistake when he stepped closer to Seungwan. An eerie cry escaped from lips as the sun burns a part of his face and torso. Flesh melting the porcelain vessel revealing his ugly true form. The doctor stumble backwards grasping his face but that did not help. "A rotting body, how awful. You're doomed. Doomed."There was a roaring laughter as smoke begun to filled the room. Chaos and Deception materialised, yet only the doctor could see them. "Help me, you idiots!" He hissed, dropping on his knees.

@♦ Mackenyu Arata ¥ [H] Sae wasn't worried about the other doctor. He could try to hurt her but she wouldn't let anyone do that to her again. She entered the supply closet as she grabbed a jacket and some slippers before exiting back to the room. She knocked on the door to let him know that she was entering. She opened up the door and slipped back into her office, seeing him in the clothes - but could tell that they were a bit big on him. "Sorry that they don't fit that well," She sighed, setting the things that she brought with her on her desk. She walked to her cabinet again, opening it up to look around in it. She pulled out some rope as it was the best that she could at the moment. "I'm sorry that this is all that I have, but it will work," She walked over to him, holding out the rope to him. "I brought you a jacket and some slippers to wear. It is chilly out this morning, once you are ready. Let me know, and we can start to head to the cottage," She pointed over to her desk where the jacket and slippers were waiting for him.

@⚜ Murase Sae ¥ Mackenyu sighed in relief knowing the arrogant doctor is far from harming Sae. Afraid he is taking most of her time, the man ceased his relentless enquiries and focused on the task at hand. He stood slowly, finding support by leaning against the wooden table. He could feel the difference from the night before. His feet doesn't wobble nor his body screaming to be laid to rest. It felt like he can walk faster now or even run. "No, maybe when she's not around." The man took a mental note. "Thanks." His voice brighter than normal and waited for the door to shut before undressing. Uneven scars from being burnt and lacerated marked his body. He scoffed looking at his bandaged chest. "That's how many now, Mackenyu?" He mumbled to himself slipping into the clothes the doctor wanted him to use. The shirt baggy and the pants a loose and long. He gripped the waist belt, wandering inside the room to find something to tie around his waist.

@♦ Mackenyu Arata ¥ [H] (( for what? there is nothing to forgive ))

Sae knew why he was asking her all about what she could do and her powers. He probably wanted to see if he could have some like himself - but of course, the main defensive powers she didn't achieve from being a mage. She only enhanced them. In due time, he placed his cards correctly then he could have just as much power. Sae glanced up at him as he asked her about the other doctor - if he knew. She shook her head. "I don't think so. I don't speak to him really at all and try my best not to interact with him - don't worry about that," She answered, finishing dressing his wound. She stood up hearing him laugh as she shook her head. She simply nodded. "I'll keep that in mind," SHe answered as she walked to a cabinet. She pulled out some pants and a tee-shirt. "Here you can change into these - they are probably more comfortable than the hospital garments you are in now. I'll let you change while I go get you some slippers and then we can head out to the cottage for breakfast," Sae set down the clothes next to him. She then left her office so that he could change in peace and feel awkward with her being there. She went down to the supply closet to get some slippers that he could wear just for now.

@⚜ Murase Sae ¥ [Forgive me]

Mackenyu knew his chances to have such powers is to ask. Hearing that it is an innate power, he decided to put his curiosity on a leash. He looked at the doctor and thought he owes her too much to drain her of blood to create a opium. To him, she must be protected despite her own ability to guard herself. He did not wince or move away this time when the woman cleaned his wound. "Does he know?" He asked. "That other doctor. Does he know?" Worry started to paint his face - brows knitted and voice almost to a whisper. He nodded and let out a small laughter, "Noted. Besides, I'll eat whatever you give me."
