#quidditch
here we have the exciting explanation of how quidditch will work in this roleplay! please read through the page carefully, it's fairly simple :D
to begin the game, each member on the playing teams will roll the dice three times!
gryffindor A : rolls a 2
gryffindor A : rolls a 1
gryffindor A : rolls a 6 (their total is 9)
slytherin A : rolls a 1
slytherin A : rolls a 4
slytherin A : rolls a 5 (their total is 10)
and so on until all team members are finished rolling. for the sake of clarity, the end result will look something like this
team gryffindor: 9 + 3 + 4 + 10 + 12 + 15 = 53 but add a 0 so it becomes 530)
team slytherin: 10 + 18 + 5 + 10 + 3 = 46 (but with the 0, it becomes 460)
THE SEEKERS WILL BE THE LAST PLAYERS TO ROLL.
once the team members have finished rolling, the seekers will then roll the dice once.
what they roll will determine the results of the game; as you can see, the examples above have lead to a very tight game where it could be either house that wins but another game may see results such as hufflepuff = 130 points, ravenclaw = 350 points where it's obvious that even with catching the golden snitch, ravenclaw is the winner of said match.
gryffindor seeker: rolls a 4
slytherin seeker: rolls a 5
in this instance, slytherin is the winner of this quidditch round! congratulations!
If we see that you have rolled four times (accidentally or not), your fourth roll will be ignored. If we see any posts that have been deleted, the team the player belongs too will be considered as having cheated and will automatically lose the round. if you are deleting a roleplay post(s), screenshot what you are deleting so admin atticus doesn't automatically assume you deleted dice rolls.
If a team member is missing and has not rolled by the time the game closes, we will ask a random team member to roll for them. you will not be penalised for rolling an additional 3 times.
you are allowed to roleplay in the FIRST PERSON or ONE TO THREE SENTENCE THIRD PERSON in this room to trash talk and encourage your team mates.
to know when your character has hit someone with a bludger, knocked them off their broom, etc., roll the dice in the dice roll room under "muggle zone". do not use those dice rolls for scoring a goal! that will be determined by the commentator! keep in mind that these external rolls are only for roleplaying purposes, and will not contribute to determining the winners of the match.
