@✽ siwan i. ⁰²²⁰²⁰²³ Seolhyun nibbled on her lower lip, staring at her husband with love and affection as he took her hand, slowly apologising for his just worrying about her. She started to gain her appetite quickly after that, not wanting to have him feel bad if he saw her eat so little. “I’ll let you know, okay? Promise… and wow, when was I ever really scared of you?” she teased back, smiling as she tucked another dollop of rice and mixed toppings into . It was true though, even after the whole revelation of his past, Seolhyun was never really afraid of her husband. Sure, they had an agreement to an initially loveless marriage, but it was done more in awkwardness and necessity (on her part) than fear. She saw him as an equal, even if he had held some cards over her financially. She happily leaned in when Siwan kissed her on the cheek, realizing he was probably getting ready to leave soon. “Okay, baby. Take care okay? You’ll do great!” she giggled as he kissed her growing baby bump too. She adored how he acted now, he’d be even better as a father. Seolhyun gave him two thumbs up as he waved her goodbye before eventually finishing her food and getting ready for a little nap. She’d probably call Soojung for help if she ever woke up midway and needed something. The pregnant woman lied down on the office sofa after putting away some of the now-empty food containers and utensils, falling asleep within minutes. She ended up hugging one of the throw pillows in her sleep unknowingly.

When he realized that he had been staring at her too long, he looked away and finally taking a bite of his own food, only to suddenly wanting to eat the kimchi stew that Seolhyun always cooked so perfectly. At her apology, however, Siwan shifted his attention back to her and took her free hand into his own; squeezing it gently. "You don't have to say sorry. And I'm sorry too for being such a worrywart." He sighed. Finally admitting that he might be looked and sounded like a nagging ahjumma instead of a just concerned husband. "Just tell me when I'm being too much. All of this was new to me, including this kind of feeling towards you and our baby. Sometimes it overwhelms me too... so if I ever nag too much to you, feel free to scold me too. Or...could it be you're still scared of me?" He teased but trying to maintain his serious face as he asked her that. With a chuckle, he let go of her hand and continue to eat several more bites before stopping when he saw the clock, signaling that his breaktime is over. Sure there were still fifteen minutes left before the meeting but he always started ahead even before everyone else arrived in the meeting room. After wiping his lips, Siwan leaned over to kiss Seolhyun on her cheek, a soft smile on his face when he pulled away. "I have to get ready for the meeting. Make yourself at home, okay? And if you need anything, Soojung is outside to help you with what you need. Don't forget to take a nap too. I'll see you later, babies. I love you." he bended forward to kiss her baby bump before leaving the room while waving to his wife; now all recharged, he's ready to kill the negotiation with the client.

@✽ siwan i. ⁰²²⁰²⁰²³ “20 minutes? Okay, okay.” she replied in a small voice, slowly (very slowly) eating her rice, most of the time just poking at it before taking actual bites. She felt even more conscious since her husband was just watching her. Seolhyun had been trying to get out of her bad eating habits since they both confessed their feelings for eachother. She knew he didn’t like it and she knew it wasn’t very good for her pregnancy and the baby either. “I know, Siwan… I’m sorry. I’ll try to eat more when I actually really wanna eat, okay?” She leaned closer to him, giving him the gentlest peck on the cheek before smiling. “I know you want to give me and our kid the world, trust me. “I’ll eat a lot more after your meeting when we get to Seoul, okay? I promise.”

@✽ seolhyun k. Now he knew why she was still looked almost the same like even before pregnancy, with no significant weight gain which usually happened to pregnant woman. Siwan was well aware of her habit of eating little food that's why he always made sure the cooks at their home made something with good balance of nutrition for her and for a reason, he felt angry at himself for not paying more attention to her but also he knew that changing a habit wasn't something that could be easily done especially if someone already doing that for ages. At her request of a burger, Siwan wasted no time to whip out his phone, going through the food delivery application to order the said burger along with fries, nuggets, lychee tea and some ice cream. "Alright, the burger is being prepared. Will be here in about 20 minutes. Can you eat a little bit more while we wait for that?" He didn't want to sound so pushy about it but his concern was getting the best of him. "Don't hold back if you want something else, okay? All these wealth I have will be meaningless if I cant even fulfill what my wife wants. And our baby too."

@✽ siwan i. ⁰²²⁰²⁰²³ His words melted her heart and she couldn’t help but smile at him, knowing it was a bit rare that he was so sweet and mushy to her or anyone in public. It was adorable that he didn’t care that his cute words were loud enough for possibly his incoming secretary to hear. Seolhyun’s nose scrunched up automatically as he pinched her cheek, and she teasingly made a kissy face at Siwan, withdrawing it when Soojung came into the room. Once the woman had left, Seolhyun felt comfortable enough to take a bite or two from her mixed rice, chewing very slowly at the small amount of food in . Hearing Siwan’s concern, she looked up at him, barely a spoonful of rice tucked in her cheek. “Oh… I am, it’s just… I guess I’m still used to eating so little…” she admitted, realizing that’s what she had been doing. She /had/ actually been eating so little for a pregnant woman, even with the cravings she’d minimize her food intake out of habit. She shouldn’t be acting like that when there’s a growing person in her. “C-can I… have a burger…” she finally choked out. This was what she was /actually/ wanting, aside from the serving of rice. She needed something more substantial but her wonky mind told her to eat less. Hopefully her husband wouldn’t judge her for eating so little out of pure habit.

@✽ seolhyun k. Noticing her red ears, Siwan couldn't help but to let out a little laugh at his wife's adorableness. He reached to pinch her cheek gently while grinning. "You're seriously too cute, my baby. Tell me how to not fall in love more and more with you each day hmm?" He knew his secretary must be shocked to see this side of him but for now, he didn't care about what other might say about him. He had his source of happiness and he definitely not shy of showing it off for the whole world to see how blessed he was to have her in his life. Siwan waited until his wife took the first bite but the amount of food she took made him frown. Didn't she say she was starving? but why did she just eat so little? "Did you not liking the taste of the food? Should I ask Soojung to buy another meal for you? You eat so little... Is there anything else you want to eat, baby? Just tell me, I'll get it for you."

@✽ siwan i. ⁰²²⁰²⁰²³ Seolhyun let out a sigh, knowing that she wouldn’t be able to argue against her husband if he really did want to pay her. It wouldn’t go anywhere, plus she’d probably just be using the money on herself anyway, which Siwan already did especially since they accepted their feelings for eachother and when she became pregnant. “I guess I’ll have to accept that– h-hey!” she swatted his arm at his teasing, her ears becoming a little bit redder since they hadn’t talked about anything ual for months. Following her husband’s actions, she sat up straight as well, wondering who it was for a moment before relaxing as it was just his secretary coming in with their food. She smiled and mouthed a ‘thank you’ to her before nodding at Siwan, digging into her meal afterwards. “Perfect, I was starving…” she finally admitted, only making it look like she wasn’t as hungry as she really was earlier.

@✽ seolhyun k. "But I'm hiring you for the part time work, so obviously I still have to pay you, dear. Quality time before we go to bed huh... the innocent one or the not so family friendly type?" Siwan grinned teasingly and before hw could even more, there was a knoxk on the door. He immediately straighten up and putting back the business face like before before telling whoever on the other side of the door to came in. Turned out it was his secretary bringing all their foods, amd after setting them down on the table in front of the couple, his secretary left the room and now he could leasurely shift his attention back to her. "Come on, lets eat~"

@✽ siwan i. ⁰²²⁰²⁰²³ She relaxed her hand as Siwan took hold of his, her slightly sad expression morphing into one of slight relief and just general gratefulness as her husband spoke. “I know, I know. You’d probably like it if I didn’t work at all during this time but… I don’t know.” she sighed out, glancing at their hands as she rubbed her fingers gently on the back of his hand. “You know me, never the type to take a break, right?” she joked, lifting her head up and smiling at him, using her other hand to caress his cheek and play with his hair, her motions stopping immediately at his suggestion, the words causing her to blink. “A part-time job… for you, my husband?! Darling no… I mean I’d gladly do it for free because I know I’ll be bored, but you don’t need to pay me!” she let out a chuckle as she really took in his absurd suggestion. “I’d love to help you out at work any way I can, but you don’t need to pay me. I’d rather I just be slightly active and spend some time with you during this pregnancy. You know I don’t care about money that way, even if it is kinda cute being your little at-home wife-secretary.” Seolhyun leaned close to peck Siwan on the lip, scrunching up her nose as she pulled away. “You can pay me with quality time before we go to bed, if you really want to pay.” She eyed the door, half-hoping his staff would come in with their food.

@✽ seolhyun k. He took the cracker she offered and lightly nibble on it while listening to her words about taking a break from all of her job. Even though his mind doing a little cheer when she said she'd take indefinite break from her trainer job, he couldn't help but to notice the sadness in her tone. Well, he understand why she felt sad, after all she had been working so hard all of these years and to suddenly stop working would be a hard transition on her side. Plopping the rest of the cracker into his mouth, Siwan dusted off the crumbles off his hand before taking hold of her smaller one, giving it a gentle squeeze. "Why do you have to ask me if that's okay with me? If I could, I would've ask you to drop all of your job from the beginning of your pregnancy, you know. I have nothing against you stay at home, Seol. But I figure it might be hard for you to suddenly stop all your activities. That's why I didn't say anything about it. Not until you brought the topic up yourself. How about while you stay at home, I give you a job? Sorting out the documents I need to sign and make pros and cons of the project proposal? of course, I'll pay you professionally. Lets say... it's like a part time for you? that way you wont get bored even though you just stay at home. What do you say?"

@✽ siwan i. ⁰²²⁰²⁰²³ Seolhyun looked up at him, a smile evident on her face as she took the crackers from his hands. It was still so surreal for her that her husband that she married with no feelings for, could be so loving and attentive to her now, with no strings attached aside from their genuine relationship. She picked up a salted cracker and chewed on it for a few seconds as she looked at him. She silently handed him one from the packet too, he must be as hungry as she is, probably. “Take one… also, I know Siwan. And I know you can’t take over the pregnancy, I’m just happy you’re present the whole way.” Seolhyun kept her gaze on him, her expression softening and you could almost see and sense the love behind her eyes. There was a brief moment of silence between them, mostly from her side, before she spoke up softly. Of course she had to bring this topic up since it had been bothering her since she found out she was with child. “I might take an indefinite break from my trainer job, and a maternity leave from the school. Just for a few months, since we’re shorthanded for kindergarten teachers.” Normally, most leaves for pregnant teachers would go through the whole pregnancy until a while after the both, as per the policy of where she worked, but she didn’t wanna leave her students for too long either. “Is that okay with you? I might have to be staying at home more…” she trailed off, her voice weakening at the thought of her just… not doing anything. Nothing to support herself financially, and she couldn’t do acting auditions in this state too. Without a doubt, she knew Siwan would offer support, but she still felt guilty about it.

@✽ seolhyun k. When she sighed, he couldn't help but to feel worry about this whole new shift in her life. Siwan knew the new mother is prone to get that baby blues condition as they still trying to get used to the motherhood, and he definitely didn't want her to go through all of that alone and plus all of her jobs might gave her a lot of strain on both her physical and mentality health. He slowly stand up and made his way to his desk to get a package of unopened salted crackers and bring it to her after tearing off the package. "Just remember you have me to share it with. I mean obviously i cant take over the pregnancy. I would if I could tho. But at least, I want to make you as comfortable as much as you can... so whatever it is, you cam always tell me what you want and what you need."

@✽ siwan i. “I guess so, it is tiring doing all this work while pregnant. It’s going to be worse in the later trimester and when our child is born.” she replied softly, sighing afterwards and looking at Siwan. Seolhyun was genuinely debating if she should let herself rest after the childbirth, she had been working nonstop for years. Siwan was the first person in her life to genuinely make her feel like she should and could take a break, a real one. Maybe a break from one of her jobs was well-deserved since she was going to become a new mother. She’ll have to discuss it with him later, though she had reason to stay at both: principle. “I think it would help, maybe. Thank you, honey.” she spoke genuinely, her hand going to his cheek to rest on his for a moment. “Yes, please! Once we’re done with lunch, you go do your work and I’ll nap, okay? Just shake me awake.”

@✽ seolhyun k. "Your body need that nap then. You've been so busy with works after all." He knew that she's been working hard for her family and even after they got married, she was still insisted on keeping her jobs. And Siwan was sure if she's not pregnant, she would still be working as a personal trainer in the gym too, despite he asked her to let go some of her work. "Yes, you're right. Its not just for now. Taking care of a newborn is a lot of work so I hope you can use it to at least make you a little bit relaxed. The rice might takes a while to come though... I think I have some crackers... do you want some, baby?"

@✽ siwan i. “I’ll nap well, just wake me up when you’re done okay? I tend to sleep for a while without an alarm or someone to shake me awake.” Seolhyun tilted her head to the side, practically resting her chin on Siwan’s shoulder and looking at him. “It’s not your fault– Siwan! The chair is too expens– oh, never mind. You’re going to get it for me anyway.” she added, admitting defeat as she knew whether she rejected the massage chair offer or not, he’d get it for her comfort anyways. It was sweet of him but she still wasn’t used to grander gifts from people, much less men she was romantically involved with. She set the flask down after drinking, turning the knob to seal it again before putting it back in her bag. “I can just rest sitting up, love.” She replied softly, rubbing her tummy a little to get rid of the discomfort. “I just have a little tummy ache since I’ve only eaten breakfast today… nooo, nothing else. I just want your company, and that rice I asked for, hehe.”

@✽ seolhyun k. "Not a little toy. You're my precious gem. Of course I get protective." He hummed, enjoying the close proximity to her "I see, well if you want to take a nap, go ahead. I'll ask Soojung to bring some pillow later then. And yes, a date. It's been awhile since I take you out and I have no one to blame but myself for that." At the rejection of the massage chair, Siwan's brows furrowed in a frown as he stubbornly shook his head. "Nope. Sorry, I can't compromise on that. You will still get that massage chair. No buts accepted." He said sternly while looking at Seolhyun, giving his best serious face to let her know that he wouldn't accept any refusal in that matter from her. Her sudden change of demeanor, however, alerted him as he watched her in worry when she drank whatever liquid in the flask. His hand automatically found it's way to her back, rubbing it as gentle as he could. "Are you okay? Do you want to lay down first before eating? Is there anything else I can get for you?"

@✽ siwan i. Seolhyun stayed in her seat on the couch, watching Siwan with a smile as he swiftly ordered the food that she requested. At his little comment, she blinked in slight surprise. “Sharing me with the world? You make me sound like I’m your little toy!” She let out the brightest laugh, shaking her head after he asked her about the meeting. “I’m not sure. I might just nap because I don’t wanna distract you from your important meeting, unless you want me there?” She inched closer to him, locking her arm around his and holding him close from the side. “I’m excited, it’s going to be like… a date for us.” she spoke, her voice becoming softer and shyer as she called their little dinner arrangement a date. She still had to get used to being romantic with Siwan, even if it’s been months since the confession. “W-wait, no! No need! Uh, you don’t have to go as far as get me a massage chair! I can just… massage myself while I’m lying down in bed!” She felt bad that he was going this far for something that she’d only use mostly during her pregnancy. Suddenly, she felt a bit nauseous, probably from her not eating much except for breakfast. She pulled out the small hot beverage flask from her bag, which had some warm tea, and she took a sip quickly.

@✽ seolhyun k. "Of course its okay with me, if not I wouldn't have suggested it." Siwan chuckled as he kissed her cheek, nodding at her request for lunch. Fishing out his phone from his pocket, he dialed his secretary and without missing a beat he relayed her request to Soojung. "Please get me two mixed rice and seaweed. Not too spicy. Plus hot chocolate and vanilla milkshake too. Thank you." He returned his attention back to Seolhyun while grinning. "Lets just eat here. I don't feel like sharing you with the world for now. And do you want to join in the meeting? I mean, you can watch from the side. Or if you want, you can take a nap here while waiting for the meeting to finish." He knew she's being a bit clingy, more than usual and of course he would never complaint about it as he also enjoyed this side of hers and he definitely didn't mind to have her all day long. "Lets search for the Mexican restaurant in Seoul and make reservation so we don't have to wait long when we arrive there. Anything else you want? Oh what about we buy that massage chair? I heard pregnant woman often complaining about their back pain, so I think that would help to reduce it for you later on..."

She had already known that there were no places that served the food she craved for in Dandelion, she’s lived here her entire life and knows most of the small businesses and restaurants as well. Seolhyun gently squeezed the back of her husband’s hand that was on her cheek, nodding slowly. “It’s okay~ Those foods are hard to get here, silly, I know that.” She took his hand, lowering it to rest on her lap, patting it. “Are you sure? Don’t rush through your after-lunch meeting just to have dinner with me in Seoul. But if it’s really okay with you, then I’m fine with it!” She grinned, wrapping her arms around him as she got pulled into a tight hug and she wiggled just a little, feeling joy just from being this close to him. “I love you too… I want Korean mixed rice and seaweed.” she answered, whispering the last part of her sentence.

If only they were in their own home, Siwan would've smiling like an idiot at how adorable his wife being right now, but for now, squealing internally might be sufficient just as Seolhyun whined. He had no doubt that she would be an extremely amazing mother to their child seeing how she loved her job at the kindergarten and while he had never visited her at her workplace, he could always sense it every time she shared about how her day went at the school. Her choice of food, however, caught him off guard. Greek food? Mexican? He wasn't sure that there'd be any place in Dandelion which served such food, but they couldn't go to Seoul since he had meeting later. So with an apologetic smile, he caressed Seolhyun's cheek. "I'm sorry love, but I don't think we can have any of that for lunch. There's a meeting I can't miss after lunch so we can't go to Seoul to eat Mexican food, but we can go there for dinner. What do you say? Is there anything else you want to eat though? I'll have what you have. I'm not a picky eater." Siwan hoped that she would understand and he actually felt really bad for turning down her choices of food. He tighten his hug around her frame as he kissed the side of her head. "I love you."

She tipped her head to the side, smiling at Siwan as his hand rested on hers, before her eyes followed him as he lowered his head to kiss her baby bump through her dress. “Just a bit sleepy, and hungry… chasing kids around at work makes you hungry.” she whispered, nodding slowly after Siwan pressed a soft kiss on her lips. Seolhyun then rested her hand on top of Siwan’s, the one that was pinching her cheek as she made a noise of complaint. “I’m trying! I’m just forgetful, but the baby does remind me to eat! Through tummyaches, hehe.” She stood up slowly, her right hand patting the bump gently as she steadied herself on the table to rest. “You’re so sweet, my love. And… can we eat um… Greek? Mexican? I was craving sushi but I can’t eat raw fish– is there anything /you/ want?” She waddles over, wrapping her arms around Siwan’s waist and hugging him. It was obvious she was extra clingy that day, or she wouldn’t have visited him at work in the first place.

@✽ seolhyun k. "So she knew... oh well, it's a pleasant surprise indeed." he shook his head in amusement at her clear joyous voice knowing that her plan to surprise him was successful. Siwan's eyes went to her tummy when Seolhyun rubbed her belly and his hand followed suit, resting above hers on her baby bump. "How are my babies anyway? The big baby wife and the tiny growing baby." Gone were all the stress he felt as he leaned down to kiss the bump then leaned back up to place a kiss on her lips, but not for too long as they were still in public area despite no one would dare to enter his office room without permission, well except his siblings and his father, of course. A frown formed on his forehead when she revealed that she hadn't eat anything prior coming to the office. Siwan sighed before pinching her slightly chubbier cheek. "Please don't miss your meal time again... I want you to be healthy and strong. Well, I haven't eat either so why don't we go out to eat together then? What do you want to eat, love?" He shifted so he could see her face clearly and couldn't help but to smile as in his eyes, she looked even more beautiful now she has the baby bump. "You never cease to amaze me, you know. How come you look even more beautiful since the last time I saw you?"

@✽ siwan i. “Come in.” Seolhyun grinned widely as she entered his office, waving at him and clearly amused at his shocked expression when she came in. Receiving his signal, she waited near the center of the room silently, her fingers fiddling with the brown purse that hung over her shoulder. She listened to his perfect English, managing to understand what he said as she had to study it herself as a teacher. Her heart skipped a little when she heard Siwan address her as his ‘wife’ in English too. After he finished the call, she walked up to him, meeting him midway and hugging him tightly with a hum, though careful since she had a slight bump already. “I know, but! I wanted it to be a surprise! I messaged Soojung that I was on the way and told her not to bring me here. Surprise!” she answered with a smile before pecking his cheek lightly and letting go of their hug. She moved over to sit at the couch, comfortably leaning into the cushions and rubbing her belly over the fabric of her dress. “Oh right… I forgot to eat… I guess I was too focused on coming here to surprise you that the thought of getting lunch at the school slipped my mind, sorry– have /you/ eaten?” she replied, eyeing all of the work materials on his desk. He probably hadn’t eaten, knowing him and how his office looked at the moment.

@✽ seolhyun k. It was just the same old day like usual for him. After driving his wife off to the kindergarten, he made his way to the office as he had an important meeting after lunch and he needed to prepare the material. The meeting was going to be an online one since the client is a foreigner and there were still a lot of things that need to be prepared beforehand. Siwan greeted his staffs and his secretary along as he walked to his office, immediately going through the documents and the premade contracts after giving an order to not let him disturbed until near lunch time. After few hours on reading the documents and studying the client's profile through and through, Siwan leaned back on his chair just as a call from the client coming through. He greeted the person on the other line in perfect English and was in the middle of talking when he heard a knock on the door, without giving much thought of it, he answered "come in." Not really registering the voice behind the closed door.

That's why Siwan was completely shocked when he saw his wife walking inside his office room, to the point where his client calling his name few times. He then sig her to wait for a bit so he could finished his conversation first. " 'Oh, I'm sorry Mr. James. My wife just came to visit me. Don't worry. We will still do the meeting on time as scheduled. Very well. See you later and have a good day.' " He ended the call then walk over to her before carefully pulling her into a hug as her baby bump now pretty much showing. "Why didn't you tell me you're coming? I could've asked Soojung to pick you up? Have a seat baby. Do you want to drink anything?" Siwan asked as he pulled away from the hug and gesturing her to the couch in the middle of the office room. He then glanced at the clock and realized that it almost lunch time. "Have you eat?"

@✽ siwan i. Seolhyun was not used to having this much resting time since she’d always been about work, work, work for most of her life. Things had changed now that she married Siwan, now the love of her life (after some time), and got pregnant with his future child. She asked for a leave from her personal training job at the gym, since it was physically taxing and a pregnant woman shouldn’t be going so hard physically. She did however, keep up her job as a teacher for a while, since a lot of her co-workers had gone through their pregnancies while teaching. It was a bit tiring, chasing after kids but nothing she couldn’t handle. Still, with this much free time, she wanted to spend it well. Seolhyun felt too fidgety and restless being cooped up in her bedroom, no matter how entertaining her phone was. Maybe she could just hang out with her husband at work, that was okay right? Their dynamic had shifted drastically but in a good way, she hoped he’d be okay with them hanging out midday.

His employee had let her into his working area easily, knowing Seolhyun’s face as his wife. She took a deep breath, ready for some rejection since her husband was a busy man and would want to focus on his work, but she should at least try! She looked down at her outfit, a white and slightly billowy sundress with little orange, pink, and green flowers along with her matching white sneakers. She had just come from the morning classes of kindergarten students and she was free for the rest of the day. Maybe she could just sit in Siwan’s office and… watch him work. She had never really seen him in his element outside their loving relationship after all. Her knuckles tapped against his door. “Siwan?” she almost singsonged, but her voice was still recognizable. “Can I come inside?”

Squinting his eyes menacingly at the older Im before being dragged away by you out from the suffocating room and once their father is out of the sight, he can't help but to punch the wall out of anger/

I said nothing when he kicked Jaebum out from the family, this time I won't sit still. I failed to protect you once... there won't be another one.

@✽ siwan i. /it hurt, it hurt physically, i could already feel the bruise starting to form from the throbbing pain, one hand clutched onto Siwan for support while the other dabbed at the corner of my lip, not even surprised to see bright red. but what hurt the most was that i never expected my father to be such a tyrant, and even more surprised when you, my older brother, had already been carrying this burden for years just to protect us youngers ones, tears of anguish and pain falling from my eyes and ripping my heart into shreds - i couldn't let you get hurt again/
