@✽ seoham p. she pouted slightly as she was tugged, following him with not complaints before she went on her little shopping spree. she looked at him before playfully covering her bag with her hands. "yes please! keep your comments and questions to yourself!" she giggled before linking arms with him.

as they were out of the zoo, she looked down at her slippers before nodding as she took out her regular shoes from the bag and placed them beside her feet so she could easily slip into them. she took a little bit of time...not wanting to get her socks dirty as there weren't any benches free in sight. she struggled a bit, getting both shoes barely slipped on and placed the bear slippers back into the bag. "okay! i am ready to go! i promise not to be cranky this time," she smiled up at him before linking arms again. "lead the way please!"

@✽ yeeun s.⁰²⁰⁵²⁰²³ “Of course not, unless you wanna get mauled when they get older.” he answered calmly, well as calmly as he looked since he was still getting spooked by the three lionesses and one lion staring at the two of them. Out of slight panic, even if they were in no real danger, he tugged on Yeeun’s arm when her hands were on her hips. “We’ll see about that.” Eventually they finished their little zoo tour, seeing a few othe animals until they stopped at the gift shop. He didn’t have much to buy there, though he did spot the bear slippers on display, just like the ones he bought for Yeeun when they first arrived there. He had been hovering around the area of the shop until he made his way back to her, seeing her backpack stuffed. “Not gonna ask.” he teased, knowing she probably just bought a ton of cute animal plushies for herself.

At the exit of the zoo, they locked arms, making small conversation as he was planning their route for the Victory Music Shop. “The best music shop in town… I promise it’s only a 5 minute walk, trust me.” he clarified right at the end, glancing at her bear shoes again. “Are you okay with changing back to your normal shoes now?” he asked softly, looking forward and seeing the central area of the town from a distance. The zoo was uphill so there was a lot to see from that point of view.

@✽ seoham p. she noticed his little finger scratching, giggling softly at his tactics as she looked away as well, clearing while looking around. the second they were at the closer, yeeun had crouched down once more at the height where she would be able to see the cubs a lot more better. "do you think i can take one home?" she asked, turning her attention towards seoham for a second and noticing him eyeing the lion parents. "don't be scared! i'll protect you from them," she said quickly, nodding firmly as she put her hands on her hips before looking back at the cubs. the rest of their zoo trip went well until yeeun got caught up in the gift shop, arms almost full of stuffies of the animals the two had saw. she had bought two of them when he wasn't looking, a giraffe and a lemur, which she sneakily hid in her bag. although, it was quite obvious she was hiding something, she just made sure he didn't know what it was.

"where to next, mr. tour guide?" she grinned up at him, rubbing her hands together for a bit as she looked around before looking up at him. she held onto his arm again, his sweater becoming a source of warmth for her. "whats next on your list?" she hummed happily, actually really happy that the day was going by well for the two.

@✽ yeeun s.⁰²⁰⁵²⁰²³ He scratched his cheek lightly with the tip of his index finger, something he did to try to get rid of the blush. Seoham looked away from Yeeun for a moment, feeling strange by keeping eye contact for that long, even if they were comfortable. “I mean, you already help me with my own work. I feel like it’s my turn to help you, right?” He let her lock her arm with his, this time having her lead. Hopefully their walking speed would warm their bodies up, because even he was getting a little cold that sunny day. “No not yet–” They managed to reach the glass covered lion enclosure, and he eyed the large cats silently. He wouldn’t dare give a wave hello to them compared to the more harmless animals. Of course, Yeeun managed to look at the baby cubs while Seoham was trying to peel his eyes away from the full grown adults. He watched her in silence, smiling softly while he tried to remember the plan for the day in his head: Zoo, music shop, bookstore and then museum. He hoped they’d follow the schedule correctly. There was a nice little bazaar near the center of the out, but he crossed that off because it might throw them off track with the amount of distractions present.

@✽ seoham p. yeeun looked at him, not realizing that her words could have different meanings. she looked over at him, spotting his pink cheeks. she reached up, something terribly out of habit and pinched his pink cheeks. "it would be great honestly. i feel like we could help each other," she told him as she looked up at him before letting go of his cheeks. she rubbed her hands together, not realizing how chilly the day was starting to get. "where should we go next?" she asked, holding onto his elbow as they walked through the different enclosures. "we haven't see the lions yet right?" she asked, tugging him along towards the enclosures over to where the lions were. she gasped. stopping immediately in her tracks at the sight of the baby cubs in the enclosures.

@✽ yeeun s.⁰²⁰⁵²⁰²³ Seoham shook his head, his brows still furrowed and his arms still crossed. “I may not like him, but he deserves some level of respect because you were with him at one point. Barely any, but still a small amount.” he spoke flatly, even if he wanted to use every single Korean curse word in his vocabulary. He wouldn’t let it out in front of Yeeun, he didn’t know the extent of what her ex-boyfriend did anyway, and he didn’t want to know at this point in time because it would just make his blood boil. He perked up a little at her response, immediately turning to look down at her. “M-me?” he said timidly, blinking. He swallowed, staring at Yeeun for a moment while trying to form a proper sentence. He had never heard her directly compliment him in person, never at their seasonal art club meetups, nothing. A blush creeped up on his cheeks at the thought of becoming her possible muse, even if it was just for his body of work and not him. “I mean… that could work too. Anything that gets you going with your art again–”

@✽ seoham p. "i hope mine doesn't rub off on you like this," she said, playfully rubbing her hands on his arm before letting him tug her along over to wherever they were on to next. she mocked his movements, crossing her arms over her chest. she laughed as how he almost cussed her ex out, nodding at his words. "you can call him bad names, it's okay," she told him, nudging his side gently with her elbow. "he doesn't deserve to be called anything good anyways," she giggled. she nodded at his suggestion, rubbing her hands together as she looked at the animals that sat in front of them. "you?" she added to his suggestion, not really thinking of what she was thinking as she did. "i mean i have been critiquing your work for a while i could just do a whole exhibit on you," she shrugged lightly as she linked her arm with his. "i care about your stuff...your work but i won't plagiarize or anything," she added, looking up at him before realizing what she had done. why was she standing there, arms linked. they weren't moving or anything. they really just stood there and there she was, arm linked with his as if they were that cute little couple that recently just started dating.

@✽ yeeun s.⁰²⁰⁵²⁰²³ Seoham was silently and gently guiding Yeeun through the bird enclosure, with them passing the peacocks and entering the flamingo section, his hand tugging on her elbow without dragging her. “Tch, hopefully my art slump doesn’t rub off on you though, or it’ll get worse for the both of us.” he teased back, shaking his head with a smile. He finally let them slow down at one section of the aviary, looking at her as he crossed his arms in thought. “Hm…” he hummed out, his eyebrows tightening together as he tried to think of a solution on the fly. “Since you wanted something out of your usual style… try doing the polar opposite of what you made with the assho– I mean, your ex.” he stumbled upon his words, since in his head he never addressed her ex by his name or as “ex,” he would call him a curse word in his mind after what he had seen happen between them. “Your stuff then was depressing, try something more… upbeat? I dunno um, channel your feelings for people you feel positive about. Good people, your parents, friends…” At this point Seoham realized Yeeun’s creative process was a bit different from his. While he drew inspiration from daily life, literally everything he saw and more, she needed a well, a fountain, a serious source for her to pour out her work. “Think of someone you like, someone you care about?” he suggested, leaning forward and giving a small wave to a flamingo.

@✽ seoham p. yeeun's face scrunched up as he patted her back, a soft laugh leaving her lips once more as she finally calmed herself down and looked up at him. "i might just have to ask you to hang out more so i can leech of your art progress," she teased, gently poked his side with her elbow. she was half serious about it though. she did want to hang out with him more, even if it was just for coffee or a small catch up...or even a da- yeeun you're getting a bit too ahead of yourself. she shook her head at his questions. "all that went out the door after i broke up with my ex...he was a muse for some time but all the stuff i made while i was with him was waaaay to depressing," she huffed lightly, looking around at the different birds they were surrounded by. "i want to do something different this time. like completely different from my usual style. i want to make sure i make my mother proud with this one and myself too," she added as she looked up at him. it was hard to find muses for yeeun. she had always been so picky with what she put on the canvas. sometimes it would be things that came to her in a dream that would be placed on a canvas but even then, she was picky.

@✽ yeeun s.⁰²⁰⁵²⁰²³ Bless Yeeun, she could easily calm him down after his little personal scare. Normally, he was a rather chill guy, trying his best not to do large actions but he was already too accident-prone to avoid things like that, so he just went with the flow. The bird just really did spook him a little. Out of reflex, Seoham gently patted Yeeun’s back as well, though not as comfortingly as she did his, she wasn’t the one that was almost killed by a macaw. His hand lowered and he blinked down at her, seeing her inch closer. ‘What was she doing?’ he thought to himself, though his question was answered once she started fixing his hair. He must have looked like he had just gotten out of bed from his distress. “Tch, we are.” he replied, scrunching up his nose at her teasing. “Oh right.” he turned to the bird enclosure, seeing a bunch of peacocks and peahens scattered in front of them behind the glass. He did look at Yeeun again for a second, returning her smile with his own bright one. “You’re right. I don’t know how to help you though, our mediums are quite similar I guess, but… hm. Do you have a muse for your work? Or an inspiration?” This was normally the question he would ask any of his fellow artist friends, whether they’re from the art club or just artists he met through his work.

@✽ seoham p. she couldn't help but laugh even more as he responded, plopping her head against his arm as she tried to regain control over herself. she continued to pat his back before rubbing it gently till he had caught his breath. she for a second realized that she hadn't laughed this much before and this genuinely in a while. her ex had really taken such a bad toll on her personality and mood that with seoham, she felt a sense of freedom. she felt free. she reached up, almost standing on her tip toes to pat down his hair that had gotten just slightly messy from the events that just passed. "i couldn't tell? we are?" she teased, giggling even more as she took the water bottle back, putting it in her bag again. "you were talking about helping me with my slump. with that said, i'll do my best to help you with yours," she smiled up at him, a genuine wide smile. "i think it would only be fair for an artist to help another one and vice versa."

@✽ yeeun s.⁰²⁰⁵²⁰²³ Seoham’s breathing was settling but he was shaky from the initial shock of a flying wild animal almost coming in contact with his face. “I’m fine… you make it sound like you /want/ that bird to not miss me?!” he replied quickly, his hand on his chest as if he was clutching a pearl necklace that was about to fall. He took a few deep breaths, standing up straight as the nearby zookeeper apologized for scaring him with their bird. “It’s okay, sir…” He glanced at Yeeun who was handing him her water bottle and he hesitated, especially when she said he could drink it like normal. “Fine… thank you.” He lifted the water bottle up to his lips, taking a few sips, not enough to lessen the water content by half though. The water going down his throat did help him calm down after a while, and they were already in the aviary. “Well, we’re /obviously/ in the parrot section now… what was I saying?”

@✽ seoham p. it took a whole minute for yeeun to process what had just happened, almost immediately bursting into a fit of laughter as she didn't know how else to react. "are you okay?!" she asked, looking at him as she tried her best to hide the smile that was creeping up onto her face. she looked at him and then at the macaw that was not on the zookeepers shoulder. "how did that bird completely almost miss you?!" she asked, a soft laugh not finally leaving her lips as she looked at him, placing her hands on his arms and giving him a gentle squeeze. "breathe first and then talk about helping me please," she told him, reaching in her bag to pull out her waterbottle which she opened and handed it up to him. "take a sip...do not air it like the last few times, just drink properly please," she said, nudging the waterbottle into his hand as she went back to rubbing his arms to try and calm him down from the scary bird.

@✽ yeeun s.⁰²⁰⁵²⁰²³ He took a glance at her as she nudged his side, feeling a /bit/ sad that he revealed his creative state, before nodding at her words. “I know… thank you. And I didn’t want you going easy on me, you were probably the reason I was getting better, you know?” he answered softly, sighing as they continued to walk, seeing some signs showing that they were near the bird section of the zoo. “Wow. So we’re kind of here for the same reason, huh? And two months… .” He didn’t know what to say because even he, a seasoned artist and webtoon author, was bad with deadlines, plus Yeeun’s medium of art was slightly different from his. Just slightly. “I’ll help however I can– OH MY GOD.” She had already finished speaking after his answer but when he was about to continue his reply, a brightly-colored macaw had flown in front of him, flying in from one bird enclosure to another cage. Seoham stumbled backwards slightly in panic, seeing that a zoo trainer was calling for the macaw and didn’t notice this giant of a man (him) walking. “A-anyways… I’ll help you, okay? I don’t know how, but I’ll try.” he said, breathing heavily from the earlier shock.

@✽ seoham p. she gently nudged his side as he spoke about how he has been feeling. "yaaah, seoham-ah," she said with a frown appearing on her lips. "you should've told me that. i would've been less harsh on you," she said in a playful tone, giggling softly right after. "but don't worry. your secret is safe with me," she nodded, pretending to zip her lips as they walked straight. "to be honest," she started, thinking it was only fair to share her own secret as he shared his. "i'm in a slump too... it's one of the only reasons why i even moved to dandelion," she told him, fiddling with her fingers as she looked around their surroundings. "i have a big exhibition coming up in two months and i barely have anything started for it," she almost laughed at herself, it was hard. it was the hardest thing she had to ever deal with. usually her slumps would go away by themselves after days but she had no muse, no direction to what she wanted to do.

@✽ yeeun s.⁰²⁰⁵²⁰²³ Seoham admired the sight of a small Yeeun getting smaller as she crouched down to view the lemur, not obviously of course. It wouldn’t fly with her if he saw him looking at her like that. He felt his sweater vest getting tugged slightly and he hummed with a smile, slowing his pace and then just tastefully hooking his arm around her shoulders when she moved closer without deeply touching her. “I am fine… I just.” he breathed down, looking at some of the animals they were passing, as well as the people. “I’m in a bit of a slump, so I needed some compliments art-wise. Don’t tell any of the readers though, they’d eat me alive if they knew I admitted that.”

@✽ seoham p. she looked up at him, titling her head ever so slightly as she listened to him. "i did! i wanted to look my best," she told him as she wrapped her arms around herself. she crouched down to the height of the lemur that held the leaf, giggling softly at the sight of it. she looked over at him as he spoke, following him towards the parrots, reaching to hold the hem of his sweater so she didn't get lost in the crowd that started to grow around them. her eyebrows furrowed as she noted the shift in tone, moving to stand next to him again. "you okay, seoham?" she asked, a frown appearing on her lips as she reached up to poke his cheeks. "you really are doing well with the updates, gotten very interesting actually," she gave him a reassuring smile, gently patting his arm before looking at the parrots enclosure.

@✽ yeeun s.⁰²⁰⁵²⁰²³ He just kept his slight smile, not bothering to confirm her question when she mentioned her beady eyes, before looking at her in disbelief. “You spent an /hour/ on your hair? Damn… it looked effortless aside from the headband.” he spoke with a shrug, his hands in his pockets as he looked at the lemurs roaming around, stepping back a step once a mouse lemur approached them while holding a leaf. “You probably were… me?” Man, was she reading his mind when he was thinking about adding animals to his webtoons. They were now leaving the lemur section and heading for the parrots, whose cawing noises could be heard from a distance. “Oh. Oh wow… thank you. I really needed that.” He sounded quite sad, but he really did need that validation from someone like Yeeun. Especially because during this time in his life, even /he/ knew he was in a creative slump, the reason he moved to Dandelion in the first place.

@✽ seoham p. she looked over at the lemur that stared at seoham and burst into a fit of laughter as she realized that it was peeing while looking at him. "i think you made that one nervous," she teased, gently elbowing his stomach as she looked at the others. she blinked a few times. he thought i was cute? she thought to herself, blinking more as she finally titled her head to look up at him. "b..beady eyes? i do not have beady eyes...do i?" she asked, eyesbrows knitting together as she took her phone out to look at her eyes and then at a lemur and then back at herself. "and my hair is nice fluffy okay! i spent an hour on it today," she huffed as she reached up to fix the headband that rested on her head. "i think i might be a lemur in this life," yeeun responded as she looked up at him once more before linking arms with him, almost reaching to hold his hand so it was easier to tug him along but stopped herself from doing so. "are you planning on adding more items to your webtoon?" she asked as she walked with him this time instead of tugging him towards where the parrots were. "your episode for this week was pretty good by the way," she added, doing her best to praise him in person instead of her online praise for it.

@✽ yeeun s.⁰²⁰⁵²⁰²³ Seoham squinted slightly as she raised her phone up so he could see. His contacts were getting a bit dry so he had to blink a few times. “Mm hm, yes we should–” he was already being dragged by Yeeun who followed the signs to the lemur enclosure. He was glad his legs could keep up with her energy and they finally made it to the area, seeing some ring-tailed lemurs hanging around and eating fruit. One of them looked straight at him and he felt a little spooked, so he gave it wave and it peed while sitting on a branch. “Oh. And yeah, they do look like you! Those cute– those um, beady eyes and fluffy hair. Very you.” he muttered, looking down at her and then the lemurs. “Do you think you’re a lemur in this life like I’m a giraffe?” Maybe he should draw some animals for his next webtoon, he thought to himself randomly.

@✽ seoham p. she truly was back to her energized self, moving around as if she was ready to bounce off the walls at any second now. she did her best to get as many pictures as she could before she had moved to stand next to him. yeeun looked at the picture, squinting at it as her eyesight wasn't all that good. "i think we look really good," she smiled, holding up her phone so he could see the picture. "you said the lemurs and parrots are nearby? should we go to the lemurs first?" she asked, linking her arm with his so she could start tugging him along this time. she followed the signs to the lemur enclosure, smiling widely as she moved up to the fenced area. "oh! look!" she said, giggling almost immediately at the sight of one lemur that was standing on its back feet. "it kinda does look like me," she laughed softly as she looked up at him.

@✽ yeeun s.⁰²⁰⁵²⁰²³ She really was about to call him oppa and that brought out some relief in him. Seoham was glad she was comfortable with him, it was a lot better than their awkward re-meeting in Dandelion in that cafe a week or so ago. All he did was agree in silence, before letting this little ball of energy move around and push him to take some pictures. “Oh, okay!” he replied, getting into position and adjusting his angle so he’d look his best with his bright little eye-smile. He loved giraffes. Yeeun’s position crouching down to get the full view of all the tall creatures made him laugh, probably causing better candid pictures than him posing a smile. When she mentioned taking one of them together, he bent his knees slightly while he noticed her on her tiptoes and he flashed a smile at the camera before looking at her. “Do we look good together in the photo?”

@✽ seoham p. "just for next time," she nodded, ruffling his hair playfully while they were still at the same height before they had moved on and their height difference was visible again. yeeun only laughed even more once at the enclosure at the sound of seoham's snort. she bent over, hands on her knees as she continued to laugh. it wasn't really that funny but yeeun always laughed this much at her jokes, especially around the people she was comfortable with. "you already are a giraffe in this life, o- seoham," she said, letting herself finally calm down from her laughter. she stood up straight and looked at him before nodding with a big smile, taking her phone out of her pocket so she could get a picture of him first. "let me get some picture of you first!" she grinned, taking a few steps back and crouching down to get the entire enclosure and seoham. she giggled as she took a few candid pictures before standing up and standing beside him. "one of us together!" she added with a nod, holding her arm out as much as she could to get the both of them in the picture all while standing on her tippy toes.

@✽ yeeun s.⁰²⁰⁵²⁰²³ “S-still, I wouldn’t have known until you told me after I drank.” he mumbled after handing her back the drink, shaking his head at her mention of him spilling it on himself. She was right though, he was clumsy enough to have dropped the liquid all over his lap if he wasn’t careful. At the giraffe area, they were all just grazing comfortably and Seoham beamed looking up at them. He really enjoying seeing their long necks and unique markings. The man couldn’t suppress his snort when Yeeun made her (as expected) giraffe joke towards him, all he could do was rub his palm on his face. “You know… fair point. I would have liked to be reborn as a giraffe anyway, they’re tall and graceful. I’m already like half of that.” he replied, poking fun at his own ungracefulness. “You want to take pictures? For IG… or did you want to go to the other spots? The parrots and lemurs are excited this time of the day.”

@✽ seoham p. yeeun tried her best to hide her smile as well by looking at the slippers that rested on her feet. they were indeed comfy, something her feet needed after walking half an hour in her sneakers. she nodded at his words, knowing what he was going to ask her as she handed it over. "it's really yummy, thank you," she smiled at him, this time a real genuine smile as she did feel very appreciative of his actions. "you know, you can just drink from the straw right...i don't mind," she told him as she watched him drink the shake is the most complicated way. "i don't want you spilling it on yourself," she added as she finally stood up to stretch her arms before taking the shake back into her hands. she had already placed her sneakers into the bag and propped it up on her shoulder along with her purse before nodding. she followed him towards the giraffes, a mischievous grin appearing on her lips that she didn't even realize as appearing. "look, seoham! it's your brother over there," she giggled, pointing towards the tallest giraffe out of them all. "and then your sisters! i think they miss you very much," she added, giggling a lot more as she continued with her joke.

@✽ yeeun s.⁰²⁰⁵²⁰²³ Seoham tried not to laugh into his hand, or laugh at all, when she outright called him ‘nerdy ham.’ It was expected of course, she was the type to always give him nicknames and playful insults like that. He did note her little stutter when she repeated the word ‘oppa.’ “How’s the shake? Oh.” He was interrupted by her handing the shake to him, when he was just politely asking if she liked it. He wasn’t that hungry, but he was definitely no longer full, not with him burning off the food he ate for breakfast by running back and forth to change his outfits. Seoham dipped his head once as a thank you, purposely avoiding the straw, taking off the cover and dropping a few bits of shake into his mouth without his lips touching the brim before handing it back to her. “Now that you’re all comfortable, let’s go to my favourite exhibit here? My favorite animal to draw.” It was the giraffes, but he wouldn’t say that at first because he knew she was going to make a height joke, so he just led her to the giraffe enclosure, admiring them peacefully eating some leaves.

@✽ seoham p. she quietly took the slippers from him and started to remove her shoes to pull in the slippers. yeeun looked at him before shaking his head as he spoke. “you’re fine,” she nodded as she gently nudged his side. once the slippers were on, she picked up the shake with both of her hands and took a few sips. it was exactly what she needed as her entire morning went to her getting dressed and forgetting completely about breakfast. she looked at him as he spoke again. “o..oppa..?” she repeated, shivering slightly at his words. “i’ll stick to nerdy ham,” she nodded with a small smile as she held out the shake to him so he could have some as well. at this point she didn’t mind if he drank from the straw or not, she just wanted to show that she did care about him, despite her tantrums.

@✽ yeeun s.⁰²⁰⁵²⁰²³ He stood there, fluffy bear slippers and fruit shake in hand, hovering over her slightly while his arms were outstretched towards her so she could take them. Seoham couldn’t help but blink in slight amusement, hearing her suddenly become formal with him when she was basically informally cursing at him earlier. He bit back his smile, watching her take the slippers and put them on before sitting down beside her, still holding the shake. “It’s okay, you can complain. It was my fault for making you walk so far.” He took a pause, nudging the shake towards her, with it resting on the bench so it doesn’t spill. “Also, enough with the Seoham-ssi. You can call me oppa or whatever, we’ve known eachother for almost a decade, Yeeun.” he added in a slight mumble, before reaching up to pet her hair. “Or giraffe, nerd, idiot is fine too, just nothing too formal, okay?”

@✽ seoham p. yeeun felt herself cool down second by second, realizing her melt down was quite unnecessary. she was starting to feel guilty as she noticed how he had flinched from her very terrible emphasis. her head was full of guilt as she started to sulk, following him into the zoo.

she looked over at him as he sat her down, blinking as he sprinted away. she sat there awkwardly, mumbling apologies to herself that she could than build up the courage to say to him. she hoped that her childish tantrum hadn't ruined the day or the mood for the day, feeling evidently very guilty. she took a deep breath to calm herself down once more before watching seoham make his way over. she blinked a few times at his words, looking at the slippers in his hands and then the fruit shake. her heart ached. she felt as if she could just break down and cry right then and there. how is he still so kind to her after the tantrum she threw. "seoham-ssi..." she mumbled, bringing the formalities back. "i'm really really sorry for earlier," she mumbled, looking down at her hands from embarrassment. she felt terrible. "i really do appreciate all that you're doing i just won't complain again," she added with a firm nod as she carefully took the slippers from his hands and slipped off the sneakers she wore.

@✽ yeeun s.⁰²⁰⁵²⁰²³ Seoham couldn’t really do much aside from just taking all of Yeeun’s anger thrown at him. It wasn’t that serious, it was just some annoyance from walking for too long. He was just relieved it wasn’t against his character or his creative hardwork. She had a much more acidic tongue for things like that. He did flinch a couple times when she emphasized the five bus stops with her hand but he didn’t pay much attention to it.
