@โงห k. hara Jaeyeong's attention was on the lit up screen of his phone, his eyes reading over the email he had received from a client for a future tattoo they were hoping to get sometime soon. He would have to take a look at his schedule however he knew he was rather booked up for at least 2 weeks. It was honestly something almost amusing to Jaeyeon remembering how he started out as an apprentice not knowing how far this career path would take him to now being a rather prominent tattoo artist in the scene. He would be lying if he said he wasn't at least a bit flattered about the fact people came from further away towns and cities just to be tattooed by him.
He took a quick glance at the time being displayed on the top left corner of his screen knowing he had a client who would be arriving soon. He already had the small office in his apartment all set up with everything he would be needing for this session. Jaeyeong always liked to be prepared he didn't want to come off as messy or unorganized mostly because he wasn't. He has a passion for his artistry and it was something he took very seriously wanting to make sure that all his clients had an enjoyable experience. Well as enjoyable as an experience can get with a needle constantly jabbing at your skin.
With a soft breath leaving his lips he placed his phone down on the counter top close to him while he easily stood up from the seat he had been occupying. His tattooed hand coming up to brush his hair back from his forehead as he took one last look around the small office space almost as if going over a check list in his head. It was then he heard the sound of the familiar door bell ringing through out the apartment, they were here. With a slight jog in his walk he made his way out of the room towards the front door of his apartment.
Jaeyeong quickly undid the lock on his front door to swing the door open a friendly smile quickly blossoming on his lips while his gaze settled on his client. "Hi, you must Hara, correct?" He spoke with a soft tone while taking in her appearance unable to deny that fact she was very beautiful however he couldn't shake the feeling that he knew this person. His brows furrowed while his head tilted slowly to the side his face settling on her features for a moment only to clear his throat as he didn't want to come off as rude. "I'm sorry...have we met before? I really can't help feel like I've met you before?" He muttered while still trying to somehow look past the haze in his head to put the piece of the puzzle he's created into place. A gasp however quickly left him as his eyes seemed to light up almost instantly once it all seemed to click into place. He knew her, of course he knew her, how could he forget?
"Soyeon? Jeon Soyeon?" He called out while he looked at her features a bit more his own features morphing into one of confusion only to let out a small chuckle in disbelief. "I'm not sure if you remember me? I know it's been ages" He continued explaining while hoping he wasn't sounding crazy especially if this woman turned out to not be Soyeon after all he did admit it had been ages since he had last seen her.
@โงห j. jungkook wonwoo stood in silence , as his gaze locking with jungkook. the familiar face of his younger brother, with those curious eyes, made the ache in his chest even painful. for a moment he didn't even know how to begin — what could he even say after all this time ? seeing jungkook's silent confusion, and the way he held a knife in one hand makes wonwoo emit a nervous laughter. "you're not trying to kill me right ?" said him jokingly — jungkook's gaze seemed to be trying to convince himself that wonwoo is real — all made him realise how much he'd miss his siblings.
he took a small step inside, nodding his thanks. "jungkook ah..I know it's strange me showing up like this, out of nowhere. I don't even know how to start." wonwoo's eyes dropped , almost as if he couldn't bear looking at the brother he'd left without a word. they aren't that close even — but still. it pains him somehow bc they are still siblings and he was part of his life.
I didn't mean to be away for so long.. but things ...they got complicated somehow .. the navy and the mission—it was more than I expected, and I got attacked too while being there..” wonwoo hesitated, his fingers grazing a faint scar near his jaw, one of the many marks left from his time at sea.
“I didn’t tell anyone because… I thought maybe it was better that way .. i thought if something went wrong, you all wouldn’t have to worry, but I see now that it was wrong of me.” his voice cracked, and he swallowed hard, trying to keep his emotions steady. he cleared his throat, fighting to find the right words. “I know you probably have questions and I’m here to answer them, as best I can. I owe you that much, at least.”
@โงห j. wonwoo Music filled Jungkook's apartment coming from a small Bluetooth speaker he had set upon the counter top in his kitchen while he was occupied chopping up some vegetables on a cutting board. He hummed along to the song now filling the small kitchen, he wasn't a big fan of silence in his apartment it only made him lonely something he didn't like. Maybe it had something to do with his memories that he carried from childhood? He wasn't exactly sure himself. He couldn't help it as his mind slowly began to wander to his siblings, wonwoo and heejin. A smile settled on his lips at the thought of his younger sister always so determined and bubbly. The smile however slowly began to disappear as his mind drifted to his older brother, Wonwoo. Don't get him wrong he didn't hate his brother but Jungkook couldn't say that their relationship was perfect. When his brother disappeared without any notice or word, Jungkook couldn't say he that he didn't worry he did worry. Above all he didn't want anything bad to happen to his older brother at the end of the day they were siblings.
Jungkook's head lifted up as he heard the familiar sound of his doorbell, his brows furrowing for a moment in confusion wondering just who could be at his door. He wasn't expected anyone that he recalled after all he hadn't scheduled any of his clients for today. "Who could it be?" he murmured to himself while making his way over to where the Bluetooth speaker to press down on the power button to turn it off. He was completely unaware to the fact that he was still holding the knife in his other hand having completely lost himself to the thoughts of his siblings. Jungkook made his way to the front door of his apartment just to open the door to greet whoever was on the other side. He however could only stand in silence and confusion as his gaze settled on his older brother, his brows knit together, while his lips parted as if to speak only to close again. "What are you doing here? What-" He let out a soft sigh as he stepped back trying to clear his head feeling a number of questions popping up in his head as he looked at Wonwoo. "I...I'm not sure what to even say" He spoke softly while looking at his older brother from head to toe as if to make sure what he was looking at was a real person and not his imagination. "I'm sorry, did you want to come inside?" Jungkook quickly opened the door to his apartment more while moving to take a step to the side to let his older brother coming in.
@โงห j. jungkook ( backdated : the year where wonwoo is coming back )
wonwoo could only sigh. was his decision to meet up with his younger brother the right one? he was getting anxious and worried—about everything that had happened to him and their relationship over the years. what’s more, he had been away for two years due to his naval duties. heck, he had even been gone during his own wedding days with someone who cherished him deeply. all those moments weighed heavily on his shoulders.
he had been attacked while on the ship, leaving scars that marked his body. it took him almost a year to recover, and then another year to complete an important mission at sea with his comrades. that’s what kept him away for so long—from everyone he felt close to, especially his siblings, jungkook and heejin.
now, he stood in front of jungkook’s house, hesitant to approach. of course, he was anxious. what if jungkook thought he was a ghost? or worse, what if he was angry to see him still alive and well? wonwoo hadn’t sent any letters or news to anyone in haepung, thinking it was best to let them move on without him in case something bad happened. but now, he realized how wrong he was. he wanted to be around them again, especially after finding out that his ex-fiancée had his twins. he wanted to make things right, at least.
he bit his lip, hesitating before pressing the doorbell. then, with a deep breath, he finally pressed it. whatever jungkook wanted to do to him—whether scold or hit him—he would accept it. he deserved it for leaving them all these years.
